||February BPC: Just One Word|| 19. Meaningful. Have I mentioned recently how formative Animorphs was in my childhood? Because it really super was. Here are some of the books that featured hard choices that I remember from not doing a recent reread–there should be more Cassie books, because Cassie is my hero, but it’s been too long since I’ve reread the whole series :(
So much happened, but not enough of it involved Michaela (as is always the case and as is always my complaint). She spent most of the first hour worrying after Connor, and y’all know I’m not here for that so I wasn’t interested. Michaela telling Connor that they knew better than to let a boy get between them sounded like absolute bull-crap to me considering the first of their interactions was Connor antagonizing her about Aiden. And as we saw in the beginning of this season, that hasn’t changed much. Speaking of Aiden, we got to hear Michaela’s feelings about him/their relationship. That was the most we’ve ever heard her talk about Aiden, and, maybe, her feelings in the three seasons the show has had, that is until she spoke with Asher about whether or not she loved him. (I WANT MORE OF THAT IN THE 4TH SEASON! MORE MICHAELA TALKING ABOUT HER FEELINGS!!) The way she took flight after Asher’s, “I love you,” was hilarious. I almost fell off my bed because I swore he was going to tell her about Trotter Lake/Tiffany, so I was shocked. I was even more shocked when she said it back to him in that bathroom. I’m trying not to be too hard on Laurel because she’s grieving, but I was ready to smack her when she told Michaela to get in the cab with Charles Mahoney. Like she really doesn’t care about Michaela’s welfare, at all, trying to get her to get into a cab with a known rapist.
Ladybee I have a complain. Why don't you ever finish your fics? Everytime I fall head over heels in love with one you leave it incomplete. It's so frustating
Sorry about that. I used to complete them when I wrote only in Portuguese. Truth be told, I get stuck in plot very easily and the mindset of the characters can be very tiresome or very depressive, so I change from something lighter. Also, I’ve been very tired lately and this is affecting my writing.
Small gems like her are as easy to lose as a cell phone, but instead of just getting a new one from the store you have to snatch it out of the air, lock it in your bathroom, and re-indoctrinate its entire system of beliefs
Ok like I understand that John “mooing” is a very real and raw form of emotional expression but please consider
When faced with literally any other emotional turmoil in the past, John clams up. His body tightens up, he squeezes his fist, he loses all speech capabilities until he can calm down.
Sherlock dying…. Sherlock coming back….. thinking he was going to die in the subway…….
The reason so many people are making fun of this is because even though it may be a reasonable way to show grief, that’s not how John does it at all…this reaction was not normal for John… something is up
