So I’m taking American history post civil war right now (riveting stuff 😔) and I can’t help but think of the proverb “until the lion learns to write, every story will glorify the hunter.” It’s amazing how one sided the American curriculum teaches “general” history. It’s almost as if for one to get the full view of the picture, you would have to go and specialize or seek out a special history class whereas general history is basically an incomplete rhetoric. It’s no wonder so many Americans are oblivious to the misdoings of their ancestors. Even when covering gross injustices, my professor simply says “in hindsight, it’s a shame that’s the way *insert instance of indignation* had to happen.” My last lecture in particular, I was rather frustrated when he began speaking about Thomas Edison and painting him in the brightest of lights (pun intended) without even the mention of how he stole most of his parents and basically drive Nikola Tesla out of business 😒
Ok rant over 😂 time to sleep so I can confirm for this exam🙃
“It’s crazy how sometimes your life can change in a flash, and all the things you were blind to or refuse to admit are suddenly staring you right in the face. And just like that, everything suddenly falls into place… Even if it’s not the way you thought it would…”
Love your work dude! Super tired right now so I haven't had a chance to look through all of your stuff yet (can't wait to do that later!), so I'm sorry if I missed this one - what's in your bag? Got any good travelin' resources? I'm about to do the same shit, but in Europe.
Also Weather Stuff:
* In summer you don’t need to bring a tent, usually it’s warm enough that you’ll only need a tarp incase it rains. Or, depending on the region youre traveling through, you might not even need that much.
* If you’re going through desert regions or if its hella fuckin hot or if you’re atta high elevation you’ll defs want to carry more water on you. sandals are really light and easy to strap to the outside of your bag. Also a hat is a good idea, keep that sun off your head, homie.
* If it’s winter, carry boots or water resistant shoes bc if your feet get soaked you’re fucked. put grocery bags around your socks if you need to, just keep your feet dry or you’ll lose a toe.
* cops will dick with you because they are cunts. just be ready for that to happen.
Just booked the loveliest airbnb in Asheville to stay in after we leave Richmond and this possibility of moving thing is really starting to set in even though we just signed a lease for this year. I’m just so ready to explore and live somewhere new, I just have to hustle super hard this year and save money and believe in myself.
Ya know, I had a lot of anxiety coming back home for the summer but honestly I’ve had a blast. Since being home I’ve been accepted back for my final year at school, I’ve gotten reacquainted with old friends who actually have hopes and dreams (really hard to come by now a days), and I’ve been biking everywhere so my butts gunna look even better than it already does!
This years been weird but really good and I can’t wait to go back and finish out strong. I’ve also just recently understood how meaningful my time really is. I refuse to let people waste it from now on
The rehersals for “Hyper Projection Engeki Haikyuu: The Summer of Evolution” have just started and I can’t even. I just can’t even. The next few months are going to be really exciting, with a lot of new contents about those adorable boys (ﾉ´ヮ`)ﾉ*: ･ﾟ
Devil’s Lyric Kyuhyun: What I’m about to say might sound a bit weird I don’t know why but you’re kind of difficult and I’m always intimidated. Heechul: I end up wanting you badly oh baby baby please don’t go everything even getting down on my knees in front of you is so natural. Siwon: I keep on begging endlessly. Heechul: Damn I can’t even sleep. Yesung: I have no idea what this feeling is.
