Dan and Phil will get a dog when they are ready. Not when we are.
A dog is a huge commitment. It is not about cute pictures or fluffy domestic bliss. It is about being ready to care for an animal for the rest of its life. A lot of thought and reflection needs to go into deciding to adopt a dog.
Stop pressuring Dan and Phil to get a dog.
They may be planning to get one, we don’t know. They may be ready. But that would be them. It needs to be them, not us. We cannot decide when they’re ready for a dog. We cannot decide that they should get a dog just because it fits our view of their life. This is not about us, it’s about Dan and Phil and a dog. This is about another being’s life.
