i am so excited for this okay

anonymous asked:

Okay so I have always loved criminal psychology and so when I read about different murderers I get excited bc I want to figure them out but I dont think I would say I am a 'fan' or call them daddy but I do get pumped to pick their brains apart

I totally understand the fascination with criminal psychology and studying why mass murderers/serial killers do the things they do, but when it gets it to the point of fangirling over them as you would with boyband members then it’s time to stop

@pilferingapples replied to your post: anyway I am downright embarrassed that it took so…

OMG HOW DID YOU OF ALL PEOPLE JUST SEE PAN’S LABYRINTH I AM SO EXCITED BY THIS, I WANT TO KNOW ALL YOUR THOUGHTS:D

I LOVED IT, OBVIOUSLY I LOVED IT but everyone on the internet who says “it was all just a dream made up to cope with her life!!!!!” can miss me hard, sometimes THINGS CAN BE MAGIC, OKAY????

i adored the doctor more than anything, i did not think the pale man was scary until he STARTED MOVING, i loved the concept of the mandrake root, i would die for mercedes probably

Okay, I'm officially done talking about the anon.

The messages in response to the message have taken away from the excitement I had over the series and all of the wonderful messages I received about Part V.

So, if I receive any other messages about how you thought I didn’t respond how you would’ve responded, they’ll be immediately deleted. I am not taking back what I said, the anon did not take back what they said, and even if either of us did, anything else about the message is just pointless and aggravating.

I’m going to respond to things on my blog how I see fit. If you have a problem with that or feel uncomfortable, please unfollow me. If you’re not following me and lurked on my blog because you were waiting for me to “mess up” maybe consider not doing that and focusing on your own blog.

Have a nice day.

Losing your virginity to Peter Parker would include..

- excuse the gif but it fits because homeboy is a whole ass NERD LMFAO

- anyways

- it happens at the absolute best moment when the both of you are ready

- peter being an absolute angel about it

- but also super duper nervous

- not gonna lie he probably watched some porn beforehand

- ‘there’s no way i’m doing that’

- still has no idea what to do

- buying like 3 boxes of condoms because he didn’t know what size to buy (stay safe, kids!)

- literally wanting to die at the register, nearly runs out of the shop afterwards

- being the one that kisses him first, your heart jumping when you hear him moan and melt into your touch

- he’s in awe of your body

Don’t Doubt Your Writing

Anonymous asked: “Any advice for the crippling self-doubt with writing? I do short stories and I never think they’re good enough.”

Get ready for probably one of the worst pep-talks ever written. The first time I heard someone say (and not to me actually), “No one asked you to be a writer,” was probably the first time I realized I didn’t actually have to write.

・*✧ july 1, 2017 || stationery shopping spree ✧*・

my precious stationeries have finally arrived ヽ(*´∀`)ノ゚:.。+゚

I decided to do some internet stationery shopping around three months ago to treat myself. there’s a notebook, a new pencil case, pens, some more pens, sticky notes and some rolls of washi tape. a lot of them were free because the shipping went way beyond their estimates and I asked for refunds since I was scared they would never arrive (first time online shopping, I was nervous okay?) everything turned out alright and I am so excited to start using the notebook during the summer for bujo ideas!! hoping to officially start organizing myself with a bullet journal as I enter university~

Dear future daughter,

I wanted to write this as a sort of time capsule, so that you would know how your mother was at sixteen and what I expect of you as my daughter.

I love music and singing, and I expect I’ll put you for music classes early on, unless you don’t like singing and composing which is completely okay.
You can quit and join karate or anything you want.
I won’t force you, instead I’ll let you find your own path in life, like my mom let me.

You wanna ride horses? Cool. I liked that too.
You wanna go for kickboxing and learn how to defend yourself? Cool.
You wanna do ballet and enthrall the audience with your magnificent coordination? Amazing.

Anything you want to do babe, I am hundred percent right behind you.

I am big on reading as well, and this may sound odd, but unlike dancing or singing, I would very much adore it if you loved reading as much as me.
I will introduce it gently of course, by telling you adventure stories I wrote for you, about bears and fairies, and any thing you like.
Then I would introduce all sorts of new books, the same ones my mom introduced to me,Malory Towers, St. Claires, Tin-Tin’s, Secret Seven and so on.
If you don’t like reading, I understand.
I hope you do, though.

I am really sorry but you may or may not have my acne.
I am so sorry, I know how much you suffer trying to talk to that cute boy who’s the next Zac Efron, or how hard you try to cover it up.
Or how much you cry over something that someone said about your skin.
I wish I could change things in that department but I can’t. You have combination skin just like me, and it only gets better everyday, and soon enough a beautiful sense of maturity and compassion will bloom, like those Violets you adore.

You might deal with a lot of appearance issues, and trust me, even all the way back in 2017, we still have them.
Let me tell you this, your weight is just the relationship you have with gravity.
It doesn’t define your intellect, beauty, the amount of love you can give to the universe around you.
W=m x g
That’s all weight is.
So eat that pizza, gobble that pancake and never starve yourself.
I am not saying don’t be healthy and exercise, oh no, but its okay to be kind to yourself once in a while.

Career.
Tricky.
I am not going to say I am not going to behind your grades, or behind you to keep them up, but I will give you a chance to improve if you mess up, which you will and thats okay.
That’s life.
To me, do what you love.
Do something that keeps you happy, something that keeps you interested.
Do something that makes you excited to walk into work.
I hope I am doing the same honestly.
To me, education is not just about books and grades, and the colleges you get into.
I’ve probably taken you to so many places in the world, and all that you’ve learned, all the food you’ve eaten, all the cultures you’ve experienced, that is what you have truly experienced. Of course, it won’t pay your bills and it sure as hell won’t help you get to college, but it will make you better citizens of this earth, better human beings, more accepting, less judgmental.

Love.
Oh my, honey, you are going to fall so hard.
For a broken boy with broken promises.
With the talented singer.
With the most popular boy in school.
With someone half way across the world.

In the end, after everyone, you will realize you don’t need to settle for someone who makes you feel terrible about yourself, you just need someone who treats you like the princess you are.
Trust me, its not the prettiest or the most popular that gets to be the keeper of your precious heart.

Of course, if you decide you don’t want to be in a relationship, that’s great.
You’re a strong independent woman who doesn’t need anyone to tell her how downright amazing she is.
(feminist alert! haha)

Trust me.
They are going to break you, shatter you, make you feel like you can never love again.
You will love again though.
Again and again.

(You can change the genders above to suit you)
I expect by the time you are old enough to realize who you love, who you’re attracted to, it won’t matter.
I hope for Goodness sakes, we live in progressive times.
If we don’t, I will love you no matter what, if you’re bi, demi, gender fluid or anyone.
I will love you the same.
Coming out will be the easiest thing you will ever have to do, I promise.

Religion
Well, I am an agnostic, but if you decide that you want to follow a religion I will allow it.
Preferably Hinduism because that would make my mom and dad, (your grandma and grandpa happy) but if its Buddhism, Christianity or any religion, be my guest.
Explore, decide and tell me.
I will respect you if you decide to believe in a higher power, because I think that takes a certain amount of strength.

I might get mad at you, scream, cry and you have to realize I am not perfect.
Far from it.
I just want you to be a nice, respectful and loving human being.
Your grades and talents are secondary to me.
Sure I might not buy everything you want me to, but I promise I will provide you with everything you need.

I need to leave now, but it’s been great getting to know you,
this is sixteen year old me signing out.

OKAY OKAY OKAY I HAVE NEWS RE: WHETHER OR NOT I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH ANY OF THE BROTHERS MCELROY

I DID NOT. I COULDN’T FIND ALL MY YEARBOOKS BUT I FOUND ENOUGH TO ANSWER THIS FOR ME: I FOUND ONE THAT IS LABELED “CAPSTONE 2008,” AND THAT’S MY SOPHOMORE YEARBOOK. I ALSO FOR SOME REASON POSSESS TWO OTHERS: CAPSTONE 2003, AND CAPSTONE 2004. I WOULD HAVE BEEN 12 AND 13 IN THOSE, RESPECTIVELY

NOW BEN, WHY ARE YOU SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS, YOU ASK. WELL I AM GLAD YOU ASKED, FRIEND. HERE IS WHY: THE TWO YEARBOOKS I POSSESS THAT I AM NOT IN ARE THE YEARBOOKS FOR GRIFFIN MCELROY’S JUNIOR AND SENIOR YEARS.

WHICH MEANS.

Friend: I’VE BEEN TELLING YOU THIS ALL NIGHT! “DO YOU FEEL LUCKY?”

Me: I’M SORRY I’M USED TO MY CHARACTER HAVING BAD SHIT HAPPEN TO HIM!

Jake Peralta: Stepdad!AU

So this was going to be an actual fic, but, alas, any sort of narrative wouldn’t come, so instead allow me to offer a series of (not at all canon-timeline compliant) headcanons about Amy Santiago’s tiny daughter taking Jake in as part of the family:

  • When Amy starts at the Nine-Nine, she is Very Adamant that Jake will never meet Maya, largely because a) He’s the worst, and b) Maya doesn’t need to see her mother curse out a fellow employee, but mostly c) He’s The Worst.
  • Except she only lasts twelve days, at which point Captain McGinley calls her in on her day off because he’s finally realized that his new detective has started and he wants to meet her, even though they have met four (4) times and he’s assigned two cases to her and Jake
    • It’s supposed to be a short meeting and she promises a very teary-eyed Maya that she’ll be real quick, but she needs to go in without Maya because McGinley looks like he might yell for some reason, Amy can just tell, and Sarge isn’t here and Amy barely knows anyone else and Jake offers, basically
    • Maya is just v. v. teary when Amy blows her a quick kiss before entering McGinley’s office
    • The meeting lasts exactly forty-seven minutes
    • Amy expects A Disaster when she gets out, or at the very least a very stressed-out Jake trying to pass her daughter off on someone else
    • But instead Maya is sitting in Jake’s lap with two of his superhero figurines gripped between her sweaty little hands, patiently telling a story while Jake writes on a piece of paper next to her
    • “And then there’s a dragon,” Maya says breathlessly, and Jake nods along patiently
    • “Fire-breathing or bearded?” he offers, and Maya really considers it for a moment before deciding on bearded. “Got it, I’ve jotted that down.”
    • “I thought no one was allowed to touch your dolls?” Amy asks when she gets to them, and she’s a little stressed out about this whole situation because Jake is suddenly, like, a kind person? Who’s been watching her daughter for forty-seven minutes and counting?
    • “Uh, obviously this is Red Metal Man and Mr. Star, okay.”
    • It’s not. It’s Iron Man and Captain America, and Amy can tell because she’s not totally out of the loop of the cultural zeitgeit, okay, and she sometimes pays attention to movie posters and has very definitely seen at least two of the superhero movies
    • “Plus I believe I said no Santiagos, and that was back before I knew there was a cool Santiago in the clan.”
    • Maya, meanwhile, has grabbed a pen off of Jake’s desk and is now leaning precariously over said desk and drawing on some of the large blank spaces Jake had left on the paper
    • And Amy realizes that Jake was writing down Maya’s story but made sure there was room so she could draw
    • Jake grins at her sheepishly, braces Maya with one hand on her back to make sure she doesn’t slip, and says, “It’s her vision, and she’s, like, a really good storyteller.”
    • Amy swoons, but in a low-key, subtle way. Probably.
    • Anyway, but Jake is also The Worst, so it doesn’t matter

Successful People Start Before They Feel Ready

“If you’re working on something important, you’ll never feel ready. A side effect of doing challenging work is that you’re pulled by excitement and pushed by confusion at the same time.” – James Clear

The Start-Up Guy is well underway. I have been working with several businesses, including a very exciting Johannesburg-based business which is launching in the next two months. I am so honoured that they used and continue to use my services.

I’ve noticed a common trait amongst all the guys and girls I’ve been working with recently, and I thought it might be useful to share because I think many other people are experiencing the same thing.

Almost all entrepreneurs don’t know what they’re doing and it’s perfectly okay. In fact, I don’t know of a single one who, at the outset, knew exactly what they needed to do and when to do it. Before your mind does that thing where it jumps to conclusions, let me explain.

A start-up is an experiment, a matter of trial and error. No one can be fully certain about the route it will take. At best, one can have a firm idea of the intended outcome, but whether that transpires is all dependent on the market’s response to your idea (and who really knows what that’ll be? Right?).

Sir Richard Branson has one of the most interesting entrepreneurial stories, for me, because he started many of his companies largely by mistake. He dropped out of school to continue a magazine business he had no idea was going to sustain him. As a way to grow his magazine sales, he started distributing music records made by unknown artists to his readers, and so began the journey of Virgin Records. He started Virgin Airlines after he was delayed by his flight facing maintenance issues before take-off. This guy is the epitome of just getting on with it. This guy is also worth $5 Billion today!

As an entrepreneur and business owner you have to embrace the learning process and continuously learn (by doing). Learn your market, learn your business, and continuously adapt your learnings to suit your market as you go. The entrepreneurs who embrace the learning process and respond to unexpected events in real time are often the ones who do very well.

Without babbling on for too long, the moral of the story is that not knowing what to do is not a good enough reason to not start your business. Passion and a basic idea is enough. Even if you are physically incapable of carrying out certain tasks, outsourcing skills is a thing (like helluurrr, this is why people like me are here). It is no mistake that one of the single most important traits that investors look for in entrepreneurs is passion, especially in the very early stages of a start-up. Not “intelligence.” Not qualifications. Passion (synonymous with commitment/dedication in this regard). A founder who is not passionate about what they are doing will give up when they face the inevitable hurdles of starting a business. Passion is the fuel by which a project goes from start-up to a fully-fledged business.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that you can go and start the next big business with the technical skills of a toddler. I am merely saying that, within reason, you can start a business without the technical know-how, as long as you have the dedication to follow through with the necessary steps. In doing so, be realistic, tread carefully and always consult a professional when you’re thinking about making an expensive decision.

If whilst reading this article you had a certain project or idea in mind, maybe it’s time to pursue it with everything you have. Why aren’t you? That was not a rhetorical question. Like Richard Branson famously said, “screw it. Just get on and do it.” If you are really struggling with how to conceptualise or begin your business, consult me and we can find a solution together.

Once again, thank you for reading.

'Tis but a scratch!

Our warrior had lost one of his legs after heroically challenging an enemy commander to a duel (to give us time to either dispose of the soldiers or to run). The GM decided that such courage ought to be rewarded and used the near death experience as a trigger for magic (awakening, as we called it in our universe). The warrior ended up being a necromancer. This has led to various funny situations, as the party tried to figure out how to best exploit this newfound talent.

Me: So, I guess we’re going to need a peg leg, huh?

Former warrior: *reading up on his new magic talents* Yeah…hey, it says here that I can sense and summon ghosts. Does that apply to objects as well?

GM: I suppose.

Rogue: *getting excited* So he could have like spectral weapons?

GM: *consults notes* Yes, though they would shatter easily.

Archer: What about -

Rogue: Wait. Is the ghost of his leg there?

GM: What?

Rest of party:  *stifling laughter*

Rogue: So is it?

GM: *hesitates* I guess…

Former warrior: *starts grinning*

Rogue: *grins back* Guys…

Rest of party: Yeah?

Rogue: Spectral limbs!

Party: *bursts into laughter*

GM: …Okay, for the sheer hilarity I’ll allow it.

Former warrior: Yes! *performs spell*

GM: *sighs* I can’t believe I am saying this…You summon the ghost of your leg.
Congratulations, you now have a spectral peg leg.

Teen Dad

Teen Dad

Peter Parker x Reader

Warnings: none I think…

A/N: First of all, be safe kids, remember, abstinence. Anyways, let’s say Peter is in Senior year here. I made him a little older because, I didn’t want to make him a dad at 15 (: And, I didn’t really end it end it, but you guys could let me know if you want a Part two on how it ends, if not, it ends like this.

You paced back and forth.

How were you going to tell your boyfriend, Peter, that he, a 17 year old boy, is going to be a dad?

You two are currently in the middle of Senior year. Almost about to start the rest of your lives.

I guess it’s going to start sooner.

There’s already so many things going on in Peter’s life, you don’t want to add any more complications.

He’s living a double life as Peter Parker, a normal teen in high school, and Spider-Man, your friendly neighborhood spider-man.

You thought Hannah Montana had it hard, but Peter’s Aunt May doesn’t even know his secret.

Oh my gosh, Aunt May.

What are you going to do about Aunt May?

She’ll kill Peter! Heck, she’ll kill you too!

So many thoughts ran through your mind, you felt– you felt like– you felt like you would–

Faint.

Bam! You fell dramatically, almost in slow motion, but not quite, on the floor. Unconscious.

Your eyes fluttered open.

“What time is it?”

You looked around. It seems dark already, “I guess Peter’s not home yet.”

You get up, walking to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

You can see Aunt May from the living room. She’s reading a book, unaware that you’re in the kitchen.

You grab a glass and almost dropped it. You were still a bit dizzy.

“(Y/n)? Did you wake up from your little nap?”

“Huh?– Oh– I didn’t take a nap?”

“Really? I saw you asleep on the floor of Peter’s room?”

You shake your head ‘no’, she just shrugs it off and goes back to her book.

After drinking some water and eating some crackers, you go back to wait for Peter in his room.

You lay on the bed, hugging the pillow tight to your chest. The scent of Peter making you smile.

“I really have to tell him today,” you said to yourself. It’s been a few weeks since you found out and so far the only one that knows is your mom, who I should say, is very supportive and excited to have a grandchild. Your family was always chill with anything, so you weren’t afraid of them. You were afraid of what Peter might say, and what Aunt May would do. Aunt May is the sweetest but, when it comes to Peter’s safety, well, let’s just say her mom’s instinct kicks in.

You though for quite a while, it’s now or never.

You got up, throwing the pillow into his bunk. You were on your way to confess to Aunt May.

Aunt May has always loved you, ever since you and Peter got together at homecoming. You know, before he stormed off and left you. But before that, we were best friends. So of course, you knew it was for Spider-Man duties that he left you in a middle of a dance.

“Hey, Aunt May. Ca– Can I talk t– to you?”

She looks up at you and smile, putting her book down on the coffee table, she took her legs off of the couch patting it for you to sit down.

“What’s up honey bun?”

“Can– can you keep a secret? As of right now at least..”

“Sure thing. What is it?”

“Pr– omise not to get mad?”

She smiles, holding out her pinky.

You let out a sigh, hooking your pinky onto hers.

“Promise,” she says.

You clear your throat, taking your phone case off of your phone. There was three small pieces of the same sized paper inside.

You grab one of them and hand it to her.

“Here, I– I think you should have this.”

She lets out an airy laugh, “what is it?”

You tilt your head up, motioning for her to flip the white paper over.

She does it, speechless when she sees the image.

“Congratulations, o– on being a Grandma…”

She smiles, slowly bringing her hand up to cover her mouth. Muffling a sob.

Tears formed in her eyes as she looks at you.

“You’re not mad, right?”

She takes her hand off of her mouth, looking at you, laughing with joy.

“Oh my– (Y/n)! I– I– don’t know what to say!”

You can hear the joy in her voice. You let out a sigh of relief, knowing she’s happy for you and not mad whatsoever.

“Does Peter know?”

You were about to answer her question but is interrupted.

“Does Peter know what?”

You both turn to the door, Peter staring at you two crying messes confusedly.

“What’s going on?”

Aunt May, with tears down her face, walks up to Peter, grabbing his face and giving him a big kiss on the cheek.

“I’m happy for you,” she turns to look at you, “for the both of you.”

Then, she was gone, off to her room.

Peter watch her leave, then looks at you confused.

“What the heck is going on?”

“H– how was the training?” You said the last part quietly, Aunt May thought he was at a study group with some classmates.

“It was alright, now what’s going on?”

“Let’s go to your room. Go change and stuff first. You stink.”

Peter lets out an amused laugh, hugging you, “here, now you’ll smell as stinky as me!”

“UGh, Gross!”

After Peter got out of the shower, he walked up to you, wearing nothing but a towel, while drying his hair with another towel.

You lay sideways on the bed, “hurry up and put some clothes on, I’m gonna end up falling asleep before I even get to tell you what happened.”

By knowing how fast you can fall asleep, Peter puts his pajamas on in a snap.

You felt more confident in telling Peter after you told Aunt May, since she was extra super duper happy about it. You thought Peter would be happier than her, if it was even possible.

He jumps on the bed, on top of you. You grunt once his body hits you.

“Owwwww, get off! You’re too heavy,” you laugh.

He shifts to a more comfortable position next to you, hugging you close.

“Wait, I should take a video of this,” you say standing up, getting out of his hold. Peter lays there sad and confused.

“I didn’t get to take a video when I told Aunt May.” you ran around, getting your camera and tripod.

“Told her what?”

“Be patient, hold on,” you say, struggling to put your camera on the new tripod you bought.

You click the recording button once you got it to a good angle, jumping back on the bed, sitting in front of Peter.

“Wh– what’s going on? Why are you filming this?”

“You know,” you said, ignoring him and saying what’s currently on your mind, “if someone was to walk in, this would totally be embarrassing.”

He laughs, but you were serious.

Grabbing your phone again, doing the same thing you did before, you turn to Pete.

“This is what I showed Aunt May.”

He grabs the small sheet of paper.

At first he doesn’t know what it is but he soon gets it.

“Wait… are you?”

You nod, pointing to the small circle on the picture.

“See that little Pea? That smol little bean?”

“Ye– yeah?”

“That’s our little baby.”

“You mean? You’re pregnant? Wi– with my child?”

You smack his shoulder, “Duh! Who else’s baby would it be!”

“I know I know, I’m just–.”

Before he could say anything else, the door burst open.

“Did you tell him!”

Aunt May stood at the door, jumping up and down.

“Yes May, I told him.”

“Are you as excited as I am?” Aunt May tells Peter.

“You’re okay with it?”

“Heck yeah! I’m gonna be a Grandma!”

“That is so weird for you to say,” Peter says, calmly.

You turn to him, with a sad voice you say, “are you not excited? Or happy? I thought you would be…”

Tears began to form in your eyes as Peter looks at you with a worried expression.

May’s enthusiasm disappeared as well, she crossed her arms over her chest as she look at Peter, waiting for him to say something.

“I– I’m just worried. That’s all.”

“About what?”

“About a baby. We’re on our last year of high school. We have more important things to do. I still have that Stark Internship after all.”
