Whenever I do something embarrassing, I never forget and I bash myself for doing it. Do you have anyway of trying to forget about things?? I'd greatly appreciate it!
Whenever that happens to me, I simply tell myself to stop thinking about it. I think “you know what? that may have been embarrassing, but honestly I’ve done a lot of other awesome things today so let’s just stop thinking about it.”
You may have to think that thought multiple times, but it really does work. Don’t dwell on things that make you unhappy…it just makes you more unhappy. Especially if you do something socially awkward (once someone commented on my lipstick that they liked it and for some reason I said, “I have a tiny face” and I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. However that was months ago and I’m over it now haha) and have slight social anxiety, it’s going to be okay. People will forget!
