Here is my Training Peaks report for the past month and next 7 days forecast. I am still learning to read this but this is what it shows.
- The Blue line is my overall fitness level. It has been steadily improving.
- The Pink line is my fatigue level, which is based on the relative difficulty of my workouts, measured by my Garmin. It peaked on my practice ½ last week.
- The Gold line is my form. It measures your overall readiness for an upcoming event.
The dashed lines are a forecast for the next 7 days, based on what I have loaded in my plan, in my case, 2 days rest followed by a ½.
The way I read this, my fatigue is falling, while my form is rising - and they cross over right on the day of my race. If that happens as designed - I could be setting myself up for a good run.
I am going to keep refining my plan for the rest of the season with this in mind.
