Noodle dragons headcanons

Just a collection of Noodle Dragon headcanons that pop into my head immediately and I gotta have to share If ya want to add something just do it!

(Also LI means “Love interest” . Gonna make ship specific posts separately)

  • They can change from small noodles to big dragons in like 2seconds
  • both Shimada were told, that the dragons are powerful, proud and mythical creatures, they should be treated with respect
-> It was Genji who found out that the dragons are like cats and enjoy playing with lasers or with little toys
  • personally I also believe that the Shimadas named them Soba/Udon + Ramen. Or something after food, bc training was tiring and the whole dragon-process had been tiring and they just wanted to go and eat and not think abt a name for hours.
(I also love Mochi/Gyoza + Ichigo for the three)
  • They got their own feelings and personality but they also low-key reflect the mood of their owners. Means:
-> If they see their LI coming back from a long mission and feel their owner is happy/relieved to see that they are okay, they kind of make it a bit extreme and fly to the LI and hug and purr and chirp to show their happiness about the return
-> same goes if the LI is injured. They curl up and protect the injured person.
-> Sometimes if they are not stopped, they reveal too much about how their owner feels and if someone knows it, they can easily read Hanzo/Genji and how they feel about a person
  • Dragons stealing food
  • Dragons getting food and candies from the other OVW members
(making Hanzo slightly surprised bc ‘You are spirits why do you eat?!’)
  • Dragon Kisses are small, tender and leave a really strange feeling on your skin
  • Dragon Kisses from big dragons are sloppy and it feels like you are crushed by an oversized dog. But you feel all the love. (You decide if they leave a wet trail on someone’s cheek )
  • imagine them sneaking out from training and when Hanzo/Genji want to summon them just…nothing happens. Just…No dragons. The sword is not glowing, the arrow just goes into a wall without a spectacle, making a fool out of themselves bc they screamed without any effect
And they have to search them.
Finding them either sunbathing or playing with one of the younger members.
  • Dragons love scratches. They follow the person that gives the best scratches.
  • LI is important. LI has to be protected. Often finding the dragons there instead of their masters who can call them at any time.

If I remember more I will add more.
I can talk the whole day abt noodles.

23.03.2017 Kotohira/Iya Valley

One of my acquaintances was kind enought to drive around Shikoku with us. First stop was Konpirasan shrine, which is close to the guesthouse I often stayed at. It’s very famous among the tourists here.

After managing to get up some stairs, Ida and I already gave up, since we had no breakfast so far. I was sure this shrine wouldn’t be that pretty that it’s worth it to use all the energy I had left. We decided to appriciate the nice view for a moment and search for a place to eat Udon. That’s what you do here: eat Udon and be happy about it. Afterwards I continued to explore something which was on my list for a while now:  Kanamaruza Kabuki Theater

Because of a book and also a Manga I got kinda interested in this form of Japanese theater years ago. In 2014 I managed to see a Kabuki play at the Kabuki-za in Ginza, which was incredible and impressive, and also heared about this theater in Kotohira for the first time. Built in 1835 it’s the oldest surviving kabuki playhouse in Japan. Admission will be 500 yen, but one of the staffs will show you around explaining the most important aspects about this place. Unfortunately it’s all in Japanese, but I was able to understand roughly what he was telling us. This place is so impressive and whoever is arround: just go and visit it!

An area where it’s better to go around by car is definitely the Iya Valley, which was the main destination of this day. It’s a mountainous valley in the heart of Shikoku characterized by steep mountain slopes and deep rocky gorges which were traditionally crossed by vine bridges. We visited Kazurabashi, one of those brides. It will remind you a little bit about Indiana Jones, but it’s not as scary as most japanese girls in front of us said it is the whole time.

After crossing the bridge you can go left and find a nice, pretty waterfall and even walk further into nature. That day was too cold for us to go any further and we just made it to today’s Airbnb in Miyoshi.

Since our host had to work until midnight, we could just help ourselves and spent a relaxing evening under the Kotatsu inside his house. Airbnb is a great experience to have a look into daily lifes in Japan instead of isolating yourself staying at hotels or hostels.

Today’s calendar:
Weather: cloudy, cold and rainy
Distance: Zentsuji over Kotohira and Iya Valley to Myoshi
Steps: 10,440 (7.41km)
Accommodation: Airbnb

Positive: A food party under a Kotatsu after exploring the beauty of Shikoku
Negative: Nothing

Tiger’s Wrath

He made an offer to relax with him, just the two, since it had been quite some time before they decided to hang out together like this. Gao was always around or he was with him alone, and when he’d gotten his next allowance for the week he asked Tasuku to try out the new udon noodle place that was close to home.

The other had also been particularly busy keeping an eye on their doctor that took a change of heart, making sure he wasn’t going back on his word. Noboru knew that this task in itself was tiring. Heck, he got tired just thinking about it.

When the waitress seated them at the booth and handed them their menus, he was rather impressed at the wide selection.

“This all looks so good! I know you’re not into eating too much rich stuff, but this is really worth the price. What do you think, Tasuku-nii?” Noboru teased with the ‘big brother’ once more, and little did anyone know, he was actually quite fond of using it now.
