i agree with what alex says here

anonymous asked:

Can we please have Sanvers comforting Kara after the break up. Like... We all hate him but she thought he was special and she's probably hurting a lot right now and could use some older sister TLC at the moment.

She cums hard and she cums loudly – something she’s never done before, with anyone – and she cums so many more times than once that even competitive nerd Alex loses count.

And normally, she’d drift off to sleep.

Safe and happy and peaceful and home in Alex’s arms.

And normally, Alex would press endless kisses to her forehead and they’d whisper to each other – about work, about their teenage years, about their exes, about their adventures, about their terrors, about the random cat memes that Kara would send and Maggie’s latest gym shenanegins with James and her latest pool hilarities with Winn and how beautiful you are and how lucky I am and what did I ever do to deserve you – until they fell asleep.

But tonight, they both lay awake.

Tonight, they look into each other’s eyes and they smile, and then they laugh resignedly, because they both know what the other is thinking.

“I’ll order ahead for the pizza and potstickers. You let her know we’re coming,” Maggie says as she passes Alex her shirt, her bra, and grabs one of Alex’s for herself, a habit that Maggie has never had with anyone else and a habit that Alex loves, loves, loves.

“I lo – you’re… you’re incredible, Maggie.”

“In bed? Yeah, you seem to have informed me –  oof!”

A pillow smacks her shoulder lightly and they both giggle as they languidly pull their clothes back on.

“For knowing. For caring. About Kara. For not… for not being mad at me. For needing to go be with her.”

“Alex, she’s your sister. Of course you need to go be with her.”

“You’ll come too? She’s kind of gotten attached to you.”

Maggie smiles, thinking of the last game night when Kara had encouraged Mon-El to go home and get some sleep, but practically begged both Alex and Maggie to stay, and she fell asleep in both of their arms with a safe, comforted smile on her face that was too rare nowadays.

“Of course I’ll come, if you think she wants me to.”

Alex laughs as she looks down at her buzzing phone, and she holds it out to show Maggie.

Yes. Please bring potstickers, pizza, and your girlfriend.

They hold hands the entire drive over – taking Maggie’s car because Alex’s bike needs an oil change and they’d walked home from the station, and because they can’t bear the loss of physical contact – and they somehow still manage to keep holding hands while carrying three pies and two heaping bags of potstickers up to Kara’s apartment.

She’s curled in a ball and she’s sniffling and she’s red-faced and puffy-eyed when they get there, and she holds out grabby hands for the food and for her sister and for her sister’s girlfriend, but she says nothing, because there’s nothing to say.

“Do you feel relieved at all?” Alex asks softly, only after Kara’s torn through five potsticks and a slice of pizza.

Kara’s lip wobbles and she shrugs and Maggie squeezes Alex’s hand and elaborates gently.

“It’s okay if you do, you know. He was a piece of home. Or, well, closer to home than any human could give you. Because he might be the prince of all assholes – no, not might, he is – but Little Danvers, he knew your language. Your history. And not because you told him about it, but because he grew up knowing them. Like you did. That’s important, and it’s powerful, and it can make you overlook a lot. Hell, Kara, you could kiss him without breaking his nose, you could be… intimate without hurting him. That… that’s special, Kara, those are… those are special things, and they’re hard to… They’re hard to lose, even when maybe we should. It’s okay if you feel relieved, though. It’s okay. You’re not betraying your history. You’re being true to yourself.”

Alex beams at her girlfriend and kisses her sister’s forehead and strokes her hair and pulls her into her arms.

“I’m proud of you, Kara. Do you… your text said he told you he loves you. Do you…”

She nods, and then she shakes her head, and then she nods, and then she shakes her head again.

And then she shovels three more potstickers into her mouth, and Maggie grabs four subtly – two for her, two for Alex – before they’re gone.

“It’s what Maggie said, I think, I… Daxam was… complicated, it was wrong, but if I’ve learned anything about my past since coming out as Supergirl, it’s that Krypton wasn’t all that much to be defended, either. That weapon my father made, Fort Rozz, I… he’s part of home. Not like you, Alex, not – you’re my home, Alex, you’re the only home I’ll ever need, I just – “

“I know. It’s okay, you don’t have to explain. I know.”

Kara sighs her head into Alex’s shoulder and Alex draws her closer and Maggie’s heart warms watching them.

“I just can’t believe it took me this long to realize that he just… I deserve so much better than someone who lies like that, who invalidates me and manipulates me and – that’s what he was doing, right? Am I making that up just because I’m hurt now, I – “

“No, you’re not.”

“Absolutely not – that’s what abusive, gaslighting relationships make you think, Little Danvers, that you’re out of touch with reality, that things are your fault, that you’re making things seem worse than they are…”

“It wasn’t abusive…”

“Alright. That’s okay. That’s a big word, and it’s a scary one. I get it, I do. You can process that how you need to, at whatever pace you need to. We’re here, both of us, through all of it, okay?”

Kara nods slowly, her brain spinning, and Alex kisses the crinkle between her eyes.

“Kara, you’re amazing. And I’m so proud of you for knowing what you deserve. You know that, right? That you deserve only the best?”

Kara sighs and takes her glasses off and rubs her eyes and Alex smiles.

“You are so beautiful, Kara. For yourself. Not for some man to redeem himself for. For yourself.”

“You have to say that, you’re my sister.”

“Well I’m not, and I say she’s right.”

“You have to agree with her, you’re her girlfriend.”

“I – “

“She’s got a point, Sawyer, I mean, ride or die, right?”

Kara laughs softly as Maggie fake scowls up at Alex and kisses her knee.

“I want what you two have.”

“Ugh, just like Brian.”

“Please don’t compare me to – “

“Then please don’t use his phrases.”

“How was I supposed to know he said – “

“You don’t wanna know more, trust me.”

Kara sighs into a laugh and snuggles into Alex’s lap. “Don’t leave?”

“Never, Kara. Never.”

“You too, Maggie?”

“I’m right here, sunshine. I’m right here.”

Kara smiles sleepily – all the crying, all the pain, will knock her right out – as Alex strokes her hair and Maggie wraps her in a blanket.

“I love you, Kara. For exactly who you are.”

“I love you too, Alex. For the same thing.”

Maggie doesn’t say anything – not yet – but in her mind, she repeats their words over and over, because as the three of them drift off to sleep in a bundled, pizza-heavy heap on the couch, she feels that love, too.

When you agreed to come hang out with the boys today, they swore that John wouldn’t be here. You’ve been avoiding him for weeks, ever since you realized your feelings for him.

You made the mistake of admitting your feelings to Alex and now you realize the mistake you made as he stands with Alex, Herc and Lafayette.

Ever since you realized you’re in love with him you’ve been trying to convince yourself that he’s not right for you, that he could never love you back. You’ve picked out his annoying traits and focused on them in the hopes that your feelings go away.

“Hey Y/N you made it!” Alex says as you approach the group, a wide smile on his face. You try your best to return the smile but it falters when you make eye contact with John.

“Yeah, hey guys” you tear your eyes away from him and look up into the smiling faces of Herc and Lafayette. “So what’s the plan for today?”

“We figured we’d just so hang out in the park”

The day starts out pretty good, you manage to avoid John most of the time by sticking close to Lafayette. You notice John giving you strange looks throughout the day but you choose to ignore them and focus on having fun with the guys instead.

When Alex, Lafayette and Herc run off to go and play with a bunch of dogs you feel the sudden panic in your stomach as you realize you’ve been left alone with him.

“Are you avoiding me?” he asks, your back is to him and you dont dare turn around.

“What makes you think that?” you ask quietly.

“Oh you know just the fact that you won’t look at me for more than 5 seconds and that you haven’t said a word to me all day” he points out.

You take a deep breath and turn to face him, he stares at you with a raised eyebrow and his hands stuffed in his pockets.

“Have I done something to upset you?” his tone is clearly annoyed and if you’re honest with yourself you’re glad he’s annoyed at you, maybe that way he’ll be rude and you’ll get over him.

“Why does everything have to be about you? Maybe I just wanted to hang out with Alex, Laf and Herc today” You point out and almost cringe at the offended look on his face when you say the words.

“Wow. Trying to cut me out of my own group of friends? That’s cold Y/N” he says, the venom clear in his voice.

“Yeah well tough luck John, not everyone want’s to be with you all the time” you spit.

He clenches his fist and takes a breath.

“I wish Alex didn’t invite you today, I’ve had a shitty week and really needed a fun day with my friends and instead I get this” he says

“God, you’re so annoying! I wish you would just leave if you’re having such a terrible time” You tell him, turning away from and running a hand through your hair in frustration.

I’m annoying? Have you met you? You are so- you know what fuck it” he says as he grabs your face with both hands and slams his lips to yours.

You freeze in place as he kisses you, not sure what to do. Finally, you slide your hands up into his hair and kiss him back. When the two of you finally pull apart you both take a step back and stare at each other.

“What was that?” You ask, eyes still wide in shock.

“Don’t give me that look! It wasn’t my fault!” He exclaims, looking just as shocked as you feel.

“Not your fault? You kissed me! Whose fault could it be?” you yell at him.

As you stare at him there are millions of thoughts running through your head. You’ve been in love with him for so long but there’s no way that you could possibly be anything with him is there? He’s annoying and frustrating and there is no way that kiss meant to him what it mean to you.

He runs his hands through his hair, pulling it out of the ponytail he usually keeps it in “I shouldn’t be in love with you!” he exclaims.

“What did you say?” you ask, needing to make sure you heard him right.

“I said I shouldn’t be in love with you but I am! It’s driving me crazy!”

“Well I can’t be in love with you!”

“What? You’re in love with me?” He asks. “What about all of those things you just said? And the ignoring me thing?”

“I didn’t think you’d share my feelings so I was trying to get rid of mine!” you explain.

He chuckles softly and presses his lips to yours again. “You’re crazy”

Sanvers ft. Supercorp ft. Kryptonite bomb

Kara and Sanvers are at an alien crime scene or something, Alex leaves the building to call it in or whatever. Kara finds a bomb just in time to shield Maggie from the blast, its made of kryptonite. Maggie comforts hurt Kara while Alex tries to find a way to get them out. Maybe Kara confesses how alone she’s felt lately. And a Danvers sisters ending

“Danvers,” Maggie chuckles into the phone, “wanna see my crime scene?”

Alex can hear the smile in Maggie’s voice and she’s about to reply, about to return her lovingly mocking tone, about to remind her of how similar this is to the first time they met, but there’s a gust of wind and suddenly Kara’s standing by her side.

“You’re not going alone, Alex. This is Cadmus.”

Alex sighs but nods. Kara’s posture relaxes slightly, but she stays in what Alex calls her “Supergirl Stance” – hands on hips, head held high, jaw set. She’s ready to fight and Alex knows it.

“On my way, Sawyer.”

Within minutes, Alex is pulling up outside Catco, the DEO vehicle’s engine growling softly, cutting through the eerie silence of the sleeping city.

“Finally, Agent Danvers – I could have found this Luthor woman myself if your girlfriend would let me into my own building.” Cat Grant’s voice startles Alex as she steps out of the car and she almost smiles at the woman’s attitude.

“Agent?” Alex questions, looking pointedly at Kara, her eyebrows raised.

“Oh, please. I know who Kiera really is. Now, chop chop! We have a criminal to find,” Cat says impatiently, clapping her hands together.

“I didn’t… I… uh,” Kara stutters, reaching to adjust her glasses, only to realise they aren’t there.

“Well then, Miss Grant – let’s get you out of here. Agent Danvers and I can clean up your office. We’ll find Lillian Luthor, don’t you worry,” Maggie says, pulling on her overly large police jacket and sidling up to them.

“Yes. That. Umm, I should… I should get up there,” Kara says to the floor, glancing nervously at Cat before taking off.

“Your crime scene, huh?” Alex smirks as Maggie tilts her head to the side, grinning.
“Something you gotta say, Agent Danvers?”

Alex shakes her head.

“Let’s go,” Alex mutters, eyes darting towards the building’s slightly singed doorway.

“There must be something else. Lillian wouldn’t launch an attack like this without a backup plan,” Alex sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose as she feels a headache coming on.

“Look, you get the paperwork back to J’onn and I’ll meet you back at the DEO once I finish the clean-up, okay, babe?” Maggie asks.

Alex nods silently, gratefully, accepting Maggie’s embrace. She goes to hug Kara before she leaves.

“You okay?” Alex murmurs into her shoulder, “you look pale.”

“Fine,” Kara says, squeezing Alex’s shoulders.

Alex nods and reluctantly turns to leave, locking eyes with Maggie for a second.

“I love you, Maggie.”

“You too, Danvers,” Maggie winks and follows Kara into Cat’s office.

“Supergirl, we might as well go home. There’s nothing to see here.”

“Probably,” Kara sighs in frustration. “I just feel like I’m missing something.”

“Missing what?” Maggie asks, leaning on one of the desks.

“I’m not sure. It’s not like Lillian to target humans with no alien casualties. It doesn’t make sense.”

“No, it doesn’t,” agrees Maggie, “look, maybe we should get some sleep and come back in the morning.”

Kara pauses, running her fingers through her hair.

“You’re right. Come on.”

Kara is just about to close the door behind them when she hears it.

She pauses, eyebrows furrowed, muscles tensing.

“Little Danvers?”

Kara’s eyes raise slowly towards the ceiling, her heart pounding.

The soft green glow must be almost invisible to humans, but Supergirl’s X-Ray vision comes in all too handy for seeing through walls.

“Get down.”

The detective looks confused for half a second before the full force of Kara’s superspeed knocks her against the ground, strong arms pinning her wrists against the carpet.

Maggie barely has time to gasp before the whole building explodes with a flash of green light.  Her head slams against the wall as Kara shields Maggie’s body with her own and her vision goes black.

When Maggie regains consciousness, her head is throbbing and something about her vision is slightly off. She does a quick check to make sure she hasn’t injured anything vital, and comes out clear.

“Kara?” she croaks, trying to sit up, ignoring the spasms of pain shooting through her body.

Maggie’s fingers brush over a layer of green dust and her eyes widen in realisation.

There’s a pause and Maggie crouches, her ears straining. There’s too much debris too see more than a few feet in front of her and the ceiling seems to have collapsed, leaving her trapped in a small space under what’s left of a wooden beam.

“Thank God! Kara, where are you?” Maggie shouts, managing to fight the dizziness enough to climb onto her knees.

Kara’s voice is weak and breathless, like there’s a weight on her chest. Maggie crawls over to her, eyes sweeping over her.

“I’m okay,” Kara chokes, her jaw clenched in pain.

“No, you’re not,” Maggie mutters, brushing kryptonite off Kara’s trembling body. “I’ve got you,” she whispers, stroking Kara’s forehead as she helps her sit up, leaning against the wall.

Kara’s chest is heaving, her breathing too shallow and too quick.

“Breathe, Little Danvers. We’re gonna get out of here.”

Kara nods weakly, forcing back the bile creeping up her throat.

“Earpiece…” Kara sighs, “Alex.”

Winn’s communication device. Right.

Maggie unhooks it from Kara’s ear and flicks it on. Kara winces at the contact and a flash of green illuminates her skin. She groans softly, pain shooting through her body.

“Winn, it’s me. There’s been an explosion. Get Alex, now!”

Maggie winces at the sudden crash she hears in her ear, and Alex’s voice comes through the speaker.

“Maggie? Are you okay? Is Kara there?”

The detective grimaces, glancing at Kara, whose eyes are half-shut.

“I’m here,” Kara say, her voice strained.

“The bomb was made of kryptonite. It’s… it’s everywhere, Alex,” Maggie says, trying to disguise the fear in her voice.

Alex draws in breath quickly, and mutters something to J’onn under her breath. An engine starts and Maggie hears the unmistakeable sound of Alex’s favourite gun sliding into her thigh holster.

“J’onn will be there any second now. I’m on my way.”

‘Alex,” Kara moans softly, her face contorted in pain, breath coming in short gasps.

“Kara, you can fight this. The world needs Supergirl and I need my sister!”

“’Kay,” Kara whispers, smiling weakly when Maggie takes her hand.

“Maggie, take me off speaker.”

“Alex, what do I do?”

“Ideally, I’d need to know the chemical makeup of the element… Just keep her talking. Kryptonite to her is like carbon monoxide poisoning for humans – she can’t be exposed to this concentration for long.”

The engine revs loudly in Maggie’s ears.

“How long does she have?”

“I don’t know,” Alex whispers, her voice broken, and in those three words, Maggie hears years of pain, years of guilt, years of weight-of-the-world responsibility, and years of believing she was never being good enough to protect her little sister.

Maggie swallows.

“She’ll be okay, Alex. You’ll figure this out.”

Alex’s voice is cut off midway through her reply by a loud crash.

“Maggie?” she calls, chest tightening in fear. “Dammit! Vasquez we need to get there, now!”

“What was that?” Kara gasps, eyes searching Maggie’s face.

“I think some more of the rubble collapsed.”

“Cat’s going to kill me. You know, if the kryptonite doesn’t first.”

Maggie bites her lip.

“Neither of those things are going to kill you, Little Danvers. You’re not allowed to die, okay? If you try and die on me, I’ll-”

“What? Arrest me?” Kara chuckles, wincing.

“Maggie, you need to get out of here first. It isn’t safe.”

“Hey, I’m not leaving you, Kara. You’re my family. Family doesn’t leave.”

“Really?” Kara squeaks, her eyes welling up with tears.

“Really. What’s wrong?”

“You’re too much like your sister, you know.”

“So what’s up?”

“It’s not… a big deal. Don’t worry about it, Maggie.”

Maggie sighs and purses her lips, but doesn’t pry.

“When we make it out of here, you have to talk to Alex about… whatever this is.”

“Whatever,” Kara tries to smile but ends up grimacing instead. Maggie feels her body flood with adrenaline when Kara’s eyes close.

“Kara?” Maggie calls, shaking her shoulder. “Kara, wake up!”

There’s no response. Maggie’s breath quickens. Her fingers search for Kara’s pulse and her eyes search for the steady movement of her chest. She’s alive. Just.

“Come on, Alex,” she whispers in the dark. There’s no reply, so she leans back against the wall and tries to stay calm.

Maggie must have passed out at some point because the next time she opens her eyes, she’s on a bed in the DEO’s med bay and Alex is holding her hand.

“Maggie! You’re awake!”

“Where’s Kara?” she gasps, sitting upright and ripping the oxygen mask off her face.

“Woah, slow down there. She’s next door under a yellow sun lamp.”

“You should be with her – I’m fine,” Maggie protests, swinging her legs over the side of the bed and wincing when her head throbs in response.

“Actually, you have a concussion. And I was just with her. I’ve been alternating between you two.”

“Dammit,” Maggie sighs, “I’m not getting away with this at the precinct, am I?”

“A concussion? No. Absolutely not.”

Maggie watches as Alex’s gaze falls on the door for a moment.

“Go be with your sister.”

Alex smiles and kisses her gently. She pauses in the doorway, looking guilty.

“Alex, get in that room and be with your sister or I’m going to steal a flash grenade from the armoury.”

Alex grins and rolls her eyes, and as the door closes, she’s sure she hears Maggie mutter ‘nerd’ under her breath.

“Hey,” Kara chirps when Alex sits next to her bed – way too alert for someone who was technically in a coma half an hour ago.

“How are you feeling?” Alex asks, kissing her sister’s hair softly.

“Like I almost got exploded by a kryptonite bomb,” Kara raises her eyebrows – something Alex is sure she’s picked up from Lena.

“So, you gonna tell me what’s been bothering you lately?”

“Ugh. Sorry Alex but I may have to heat vision your girlfriend.”

“Excuse me?” Alex splutters.

“Maggie didn’t say anything?” Kara asks as Alex looks at her, completely bewildered.

“No, I just know my little sister.”

“It was the crinkle, wasn’t it?”

“Shut up.”

They smile at each other for a moment before Kara goes back to fiddling with the dial on the sun lamp.

“I don’t know, Alex,” she sighs, “lately I’ve felt kind of… alone.”

“Is this about Mon El?”

“No! No. Absolutely not. I felt more alone and more lost when he was here than ever. It’s just that everyone seems to be happy… in a relationship.”

“What about James?”

Kara sighs and bites her lip.

“I know, but-”

“What about Lena?” Alex asks carefully, a wry smile playing on her lips.

“Lena?” Kara squeaks, eyes wide. “Why would you - I don’t – Lena?”

“You know, you’re pretty easy to read.”

“Pffft. No I’m not,” Kara protests, cheeks flushed as she refuses to meet Alex’s eyes.

There’s a knock on the door.

“Ma’ams?” Agent Vasquez calls from the doorway.

“Come in,” Kara says.

“I have a deliver of pizza, potstickers and… roses for you.”

“Who from?” Kara splutters.

“Oh, I know exactly where this is going,” Alex grins, leaning back in her chair.

“Lena Luthor.”

anonymous asked:

Do you have any thoughts about how Maggie and Alex acted in the interrogation room when Alex kinda crashed in? I especially loved Maggie's face when Alex kissed her cheek lol

Well when Alex walks in Maggie takes a defensive stance, with her arms crossed. I think Maggie is a little caught off guard by the way Alex is acting. After Alex says, ““…a heads up next time would be nice before you arrest my friend”, Maggie’s response is exactly how I would assume from level-headed Maggie “Come on, you know that’s not how this works. I don’t intervene with your job and you don’t question mine”.

Alex is in the wrong here. It sounds like they have discussed this issue before and agreed to stay out of each other’s work; not to mention if anyone should understand Maggie’s job and what it entails, it SHOULD be Alex.

I also think that Maggie feels a bit guilty that she didn’t give Alex a little head’s up (even though she wasn’t obligated to) and that is why she gives in. She truly believes Winn is innocent and she needs help so she lets Winn go with Alex.

After it is all said and done, Maggie is a tad defeated. It doesn’t feel good to have people undermine her job, especially someone who knows how much her job means to her. But she also knows that Alex is coming from a place of love and would never intentionally try to hurt/offend her, so they compromise.

The kiss on the cheek is telling because Alex purposely goes for her cheek and Maggie purposely offers her cheek. Alex realized she was stepping on Maggie’s toes and Maggie wants Alex to know she is a little hurt. They leave on good terms, both relenting to the other–trying to show mutual respect and love.

I also want to point out that while Alex was in the wrong, they both were able to come together (rather quickly) and sort it all out. Once again, showing the audience that all relationships have their flaws but healthy communication is the key to a solid relationship! #SanversInventedHealthyRelationships2k17

Request List Prompt: 3. Person C’s POV watching Person A and B flirt everyday for a few years.

~     ~     ~

James wants to say he’s a patient man. He really does, but sitting here, an awkward third, fourth, fifth, sixth, hell even seventh wheel as he and everyone around him watches Alex and Thomas pin over each other.

Well it makes him want to ram someone’s head into a door - whether it be his or the others he’s not sure.

He sighed to himself, watching as Alex and Thomas talked about some project Mr. Washington assigned them, feeling more than the normal over load of stress as he watched the two. He was the unlucky third person paired with the love birds, John, Laf and Herc working together.

“I’m telling you we need to have the history on this era on the left side of the poster so we can explain that first then onto the more important stuff!”

“What’s more important than the history?”

“Nothing is more important than history! It’s what we learn from! Without history the world would be going in a circle!”

“It is going in a circle you massive headed douche!”

“It’s - well - you know what I mean!” Alex chuckled quietly, mouth falling into a small smile as he stared at Thomas, who was sat, head down and eyebrows scrunched.

James raised an eyebrow as Alex and him made eye contact. Face a blaze Alex looked down at their papers, missing the look Thomas sent, matching the previous one perfectly.

~     ~     ~     ~     ~

“I swear Alex when do you ever sleep?” James wishes this pillow could shut out all noise. Or suffocate him.

“Sleep is for the weak Thomas. Like you.”

“More like for every normal person in the world.” Thomas rolled his eyes.

“Oh so yesterday I was extraordinary and today I’m just normal?” Alex turned around, tilting his head up and freezing as his face was a mere few inches from Thomas’.

Alex’s face went beat red, eyes widening a fraction as his breath caught. Thomas’ face went a shade of pink that only seemed reserved for Alex, biting his bottom lip as neither moved.

“Well I mean, you’re far from ordinary or normal Alex.” The edges of Thomas’ lips turned up a bit.

James sat up a bit more, were they finally going to do it? He felt anticipation - what the hell body he wasn’t the one about to make a move. Alex’s eyes shifted a bit, and James can only assume they moved to look at Thomas’ lips as they both began to lean in.

James wasn’t sure he was breathing when -

“Hey Alex! Do you know where - “

John burst in, carrying papers and looking frazzled as Alex and Thomas jumped apart. James felt his blood boil as he slammed his head hard on his pillow.

Seven years. Seven. Years.

SEVEN YEARS. He was going to murder John.

~     ~     ~     ~     ~

Luckily he hadn’t murdered anyone through ten years of Jamilton pinning. Yes, he gave them a ship name. Peggy and him decided on it at one of her Friday night ranting sessions.

But, time had paid off. Tonight was their first date. Thomas had manned up and asked Alex, stuttering and blushing as he asked if Alex wanted to get dinner and catch a movie.

Alex, of course, had agreed, face redder the rose Thomas had given him. James had all but shoved Thomas to Alex’s office room, forcing him - threatening him more like - that if he didn’t finally ask Alex out James was going to contact that barista from the local club for Alex and said Thomas could have a front scene view of the two.

Thomas, scared, went ahead and did it.

So now here was Thomas, running his hands over and through his hair again, fixing his clothes as he stared at himself in front of the mirror.

“You’re sure he likes me as much as I like him Jamie? Like, what if he only agreed because of pity? Or he didn’t want to seem like a dick and say no?”

James groaned. “If you don’t go on this date I will throttle you with your shoelaces and dangle your body from a power line and throw bird seeds on you so the crows can eat your dead carcass!”

Thomas froze, eyes wide as he stared at James through the mirror. Clearing his throat he nodded, voice cracking, “O-Okay.”

~     ~     ~     ~     ~

James was proud of Thomas. Alex and his date all those years ago had gone swimmingly - and every Friday night for the next year they had a date. Two years had passed after that first date and Thomas manned up,

Saturday, June 26th, 2016 Thomas had gotten down on one knee as their group was at a pride festival and proposed.

So here he was, Thomas’ best man at their wedding. Everyone stood around them were smiling, eyes happy as Thomas and Alex held hands, both of their eyes shinning with a few happy tears.

He’d watched these two pin over each other for twelve years, and here they were, ready to spend their whole lives together - more than they already had.

James was a patient man - sometimes - but at this point he was just happy his best friend was happy.

Author’s Note: I love you all. Continue requesting. And, this one turned a little weird. It has a possible 2nd part but I still don’t know. And it has more drama than needed. I’m sorry because this one is sooo far away from the request. I’m sorry.

“Are you dating Alex, right?” Jessica asked and I blushed even more

“You should, call your babies Alex or something so you all turn to be Alex Standall.” Sheri agreed and I smiled a little.

“I think is cute,” I said and we continued doing our work until the bell rang. I closed my book and took my backpack with me.

“Are you ready, Mrs. Standall?” Alex said, waiting for me at the entrance.

“Hey,” I answered him.

“What are you doing here? I thought you say you wouldn’t come today.”

“Well, things changed. I had to talk something with Jensen.” He continued and he grabbed my hand.

“Oh, fine. I’d like to spend all day here, but we have to go and get lunch.” He smiled and we continued to the lunch room, where I glanced at Justin looking at us.

“Are you still friends with Justin?”

“Sort of.”

We sat on an empty bench and we ate peacefully.

“Alex, you know I support you. I’ll always do it.” I touched his hand and he turned to see me.

“What do you mean, Alex?” He asked me and held me stronger.

“Isn’t it weird?” Justin interrupted the conversation and sat right in front of us.

“What?” I asked him and Alex turned to see me weird.

“That you are both Alex. And literally I could shout from the next room your name and both o you would be really confused.” Justin stated and Alex gave him an angry grin.

“Go away, Justin. You don’t have to be bothering someone else?” Alex told him and I just looked confused.

“So, now that both of you are Alex. Did you hear the tapes too? Or Hannah knew exactly which one of you was the Standall one?” Justin commented and Alex got really angry suddenly.

“Get the fuck out of here, Justin!” He shouted and I just held him while everyone else looked at us. Justin stood up and went with his friends again laughing.Alex took his stuff and my hand. I took my backpack and we went outside. Right after we went outside I tried to wait until Alex calmed down and just asked.

“Which tapes? And what does Hannah has to do with them?”

“Nothing. Just-” He started and then looked away. “Nothing.”

“How do you want me to help you if you can’t tell me the truth?”

“Ok, come here.” He took me to a bench and we sat together. “Hannah left some tapes, where she said why she committed suicide. And I was on of the reasons“ He said, looking at the floor. “I just didn’t want you to found out about it, this way. But Justin is an asshole.”

“Hey, it’s fine.” I touched carefully his cheek and he kissed my hand. “I trust you with all my heart. I just think you should have told me.”  Then one bell rang and I stood up. “I should go to class. But, I’ll see you later.” I kissed him and went to my Math class.

Once I got in there, every seat was taken unless next to Justin. Who smirked at me, pointed at the place. I took a deep breath and sat with him.

“Alex!” He said excited and I rolled my eyes.

“Justin!” I repeated the same voice tone he used and he laughed.

“You’re prettier when you’re angry. Don’t you think?” He tried to touch my cheek.

“Justin, I heard you broke up with Jessica a week ago. It’s okay, I get it. You’re needy but stay away from me. Or I’ll tell Alex about it.” I took my notebook out and he bites his lip.

“I guess I already told Alex, right? I mean, you are Alex.”

“Ok, stop with the jokes, what’s the thing about the tapes?” I asked him directly and he smiled.

“What? You’re worried because Standall didn’t tell you? That’s something he shouldn’t have kept for himself, don’t you think? I mean, you’re the one sharing bed with him.” He continued and got closer to me. “But I bet, if you shared one night with me, then you’ll probably know how to take my secrets out.” He whispered with a sweet tone but eyes filled with lust.

“Keep it in your pants, Foley.” I pushed him away and the class started.

What if Alex didn’t tell me about the tapes just because it was something wrong? Is it bad I worry too much? Justin kept looking at me all the time. He knew how to get me nervous. And I kinda liked it, but maybe I was just really worried about Alex being in trouble. I needed time. The hour ended and I went outside. Justin went outside with me, but Alex was there so he just turned around.

“Was everything okay?” Alex said and Jessica appeared right after him.

“Always.” I gave him a small peck and then just waited until Jessica said something.

“You’re just so cute, soo lovely.” She smiled and I did too.

I knew finally that no matter what, I loved Alex. And if he didn’t tell me, was because he wants the best for me. We just needed to truly trust each other, and I already trusted my life on him.  Or, should I speak with Justin again?

27 if you're still doing them please, for sanvers :))

27. “I’m pregnant.”

A/N: I’m sorry, I know this probably isn’t what you wanted, but I have too much of a hard time seeing Alex or Maggie choosing to have a child (not because they couldn’t be good parents—I’m sure they would!) but with their risky jobs, I don’t see either of them wanting to have someone so dependent on them in case anything were to happen, nor do I see either of them wanting to take time off or move into a desk job when they both seem to see their work in the field as being not only important but also integral to their sense of self.
Also playful warning that there’s some flashback heterosexuality!

This probably wasn’t how they should have had this conversation. It should have been planned or done over tea with a list of topics to cover. A beer or two in and halfway through Grease…less so. But somehow now was the time when they were going to talk about whether or not they wanted children. Because Rizzo was on screen getting nervous about the chance that she was pregnant, and Maggie had nonchalantly joked that she was glad that would never happen to her, and Alex had frozen.

“Babe…are you okay?” Maggie asked, her voice soft. “Hey, I didn’t mean, I mean, we can—we probably should talk about whether we want kids. I didn’t mean to sound so dismissive there.”

“That’s not it,” Alex mumbled. “I mean, yeah, okay, we probably should talk about those types of things. Like, do we want to stay in the apartment? Should we be thinking about a house? Do you like the suburbs, like, do you have some fantasy of a house with a fence and kids and neighbors that we talk to instead of avoiding eye contact with them in the elevator because they definitely hear us fucking most nights?”

Maggie laughed loudly before letting the reality of the conversation sink in. “Uh, I mean, I guess…I maybe wouldn’t hate having a house with a yard one day, though I’d like to at least be close to a city. I want a dog, maybe two, and it’d be cool if they had a fenced-in yard where they could play! But, um, I don’t know…I don’t really, I never really saw myself having kids. And at first it was because, well, it can get expensive. And not just the 18 years of expenses, but also the legal paperwork for adoption or whatever, depending on how you do it. Since, well, it was never really something that would just happen to people like us, you know?”

Alex didn’t reply, feeling waves of shame wash over her as she tried to blink back tears.

“Al? Are you okay? Did you want kids? I, fuck, I know I’m not doing this right.”

“No, I just, no, I don’t really want kids. I mean, I’m going to want to be out in the field for as long as I can be, out there protecting Supergirl and National City without having to think of whether I’m abandoning a little kid who wants their mother home to tuck them into bed at night or wake them up in the morning. I mean, I went through some of that, you know? I grew up fast…with my dad dying and my mom sort of throwing herself into her work after…but at least I still had a childhood where I didn’t really worry, where I didn’t have to think about my parents out in danger. Because, even though I was just barely a teenager when my dad joined the DEO, I sort of understood that it was something risky. I knew what it meant when my mom answered the phone in another room. I knew it meant that maybe one day I wouldn’t have a parent coming home to me. And one day…well, one day that was what it meant,” Alex finished, her voice cracking even though the tears didn’t fall. It was too complicated with her dad now, with what he had become, to let sadness be her primary emotion.

Shifting down the sofa, Maggie drew Alex into her arms. “Hey, I’m here, I’ve got you,” she whispered as she carded her fingers through Alex’s hair, letting the woman relax in her strong arms.

“I’m okay,” Alex finally said. “Really, I am.”

“Okay, it’s just…you had looked upset. I mean, we agree about the no kids thing…I sort of assumed you were gonna say something about that when you got all panicked looking.”

“I don’t panic,” Alex scoffed.

“Really? Want to tell me about the deer in the headlights look I got when I told you that you liked women?” Maggie joked.

“What? Me? Pfft, no. What? No…” Alex rambled, trying to ignore Maggie’s knowing look. “Okay fine, maybe I panic sometimes…”

“Want to tell me what I said made you panic? Was I moving too fast with all the talk of the suburbs?”

“No,” Alex chuckled, shaking her head. “I asked you to marry me; I think I can survive the thought of buying a house with you, dear.”

“Right,” Maggie nodded, fiddling absentmindedly with the engagement ring on her finger. “So, um, did you want to tell me what was going on in your head there?”

Alex shrugged. “I don’t…it was…there was just a thing. It wasn’t at a good time in my life.”

“I love you for you, Alex, not for some idealized version of your past.”

“Right, yeah, it’s just, no one else really knows. It’s just, during grad school, before J’onn found me, though not that much earlier, I, well, I thought I was pregnant.”

“Oh.” Maggie tried to quickly process the information. “I…were you?”

“No,” Alex shook her head. “It’s just, I was…well…” Alex took a deep breath, steeling her nerves to talk about a time in her life that she still hadn’t completely come to terms with. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust Maggie; she trusted her with everything, with her life, her happiness, her future. She thought back to those years as she began to talk…

Thumbing through her calendar, looking for when her last missed deadline was, Alex noted the small row of red dots in the upper right hand corners of the calendar boxes, noticed the way that they ran across the first week of October. Then she remembered that it was now the third week of November, but there were no red dots, no indication that her period had come and gone because it simply hadn’t.

She tried to think back over the past month, tried to remember the nights she’d stumbled home in the early hours of the morning after leaving some guy’s apartment before he could wake up and try to ask her to stay or cuddle or go out again. Everything was just so blurry—the nights blending together in a mix of alcohol and late nights and early mornings and nameless faces. Oh god, what if she was pregnant…what would she put on the birth certificate? Club guy, October 2009? She felt like she was going to throw up—a feeling that only got worse as she remembered that morning sickness was an early sign of pregnancy.

Eliza would be even more disappointed in her now. And Kara, god, how would she ever tell Kara? How would she break it to her perfect younger sister that she was a failure, that she wasn’t thriving and publishing and acing everything, but was instead on academic probation, barely skating by, behind on bills, drunk half of the time and almost always depressed, and now she was single and pregnant too?

After sitting for a very, very long time on the floor of the shower letting scalding water wash over her, rinse away the stench of the club and sweat and booze and traces of whatever cologne the men she’d let touch her had been wearing too much of, Alex finally pulled herself up and forced herself to put on clothes. One step at a time, she got herself to the door, then down to her car. She drove, barely focusing on the road, until she got to the parking lot of a pharmacy far enough away from campus to hope that she wouldn’t see anyone she knew.

As she paced up and down the aisle, looking at the condoms she was fairly certain she always made sure the guys used and the rows of pads and tampons that for a change she really wished she needed, she wondered what genius thought to put the pregnancy tests here. Why remind women of what they didn’t use and won’t need? She couldn’t bring herself to look at the tests just yet, couldn’t bring herself to try to compare prices, figure out what she could afford on a graduate stipend she too often wasted on booze and coffee and Advil.

“Can I help you?” a middle-aged woman asked.

Alex looked up, noting the store vest and customer service smile. “Uh, no,” she shook her head, wondering if she should stop pacing, if she was going to be asked to leave soon.

Later, she’d wonder how crazy or how panicked she looked for this woman, who was probably making the minimum wage and definitely not being paid enough to deal with customers’ personal problems, to stay there and add, in a quiet voice, “I’m here if you need something, okay, hon?”

Alex nodded frantically, trying to steady her shaking legs. Even though she suspected the woman didn’t care, didn’t actually want to help, she turned to her, eyes wild and red-rimmed, and blurted out: “I think I’m pregnant.”

“Okay,” the woman nodded. “Let’s get you a test to find out, alright?”

Alex just nodded—couldn’t find it within herself to make noises, too worried she would cry if she opened her mouth.

After a moment or two of searching, the woman handed her a box: “Here, this one is on sale, and it only takes two minutes for results.”

“Thanks,” Alex mumbled, taking the test from her. She looked up to the front counter, bracing herself for whatever judgmental look she would get from the teenager working the register. She knew what she looked like—sweatpants and a stained shirt, hungover and barely holding back tears—and knew exactly what she might think about someone in her position.

“How about I ring you up at the pharmacy counter in the back,” the woman offered. “There’s a bathroom there too.”

“Oh, no, I think I’ll need a drink before I take this test,” Alex added, shaking her head.

“Uh, okay, but maybe you want to wait to have that drink until after you find out if you’re pregnant?”

“Fuck,” Alex swore. As her thoughts began spiraling, she tried to keep them in check. All that mattered in this moment was peeing on a stick, waiting two minutes, and reading some results. Easier than lab work. She’d deal with the results later.

“So…you weren’t pregnant?” Maggie asked. “And it’s fine if you were and you made a choice or something too.”

“No,” Alex shook her head. “I wasn’t. I just…I don’t know, you were saying that we’d never have to worry about that, and I got nervous because I did and maybe that makes me horribly irresponsible or a bad person or—”

“Alex, it just makes you human, okay? I told you, I love you. Always. No matter what that story was, I knew going into it that I’d love you and support whatever decisions were made.”

“Really. Ride or die, Danvers.”

Law is Law (Laurens x Reader)

TW: Drugs, bad relationship with dad, my lack of knowledge of crimes, maybe swearing???

Summary: You are a cop (a job you didn’t want). John, however, is a drug dealer

You grumble and get out of your car, wishing that you had followed your dreams instead of your father’s dreams for you. He wanted you to be stronger than your sister who was raped while she was in college. He called her weak and “a pathetic excuse for a daughter”. You were absolutely horrified. He cut her off from the family because of something that she had no control over. He wanted you to be better than her. He forced you to go into law enforcement. You figured you wouldn’t get passed the first week, but you passed the entire course. With flying colors. You quickly climbed your way up the ladder and became one of the top agents, which meant you had to go undercover quite a bit. Today wasn’t going to be any different from most. You had already arranged the deal (with the help of an inmate), so all you had to do know was get the dealer.

You walk around to the back of the gas station and gently whisper the code word the inmate gave you. A tall man with his curly hair pulled back into a ponytail emerges from the shadow like the opening to a “political” movie that only white men and women get offended by.

“Four ounces of-(Y/N)? What are you doing here?”

Auston Matthews- New Leafs- Chapter Four

It was really nice to be back in Buffalo again here with my friends made some new ones. We were all walking out into the parking lot Sam and Amanda left right away said that had somethings to do. Erin and Jack left shortly after they had to go see Erin’s grandparents who live here.

“So Em what are your plans for the rest of the day?” Mitch asked standing next to me.

“Umm I don’t know really know. I was going to go food shopping but Patrick already went shopping for me so I don’t need to do that anymore.” Mitch smiled

“Well we rented out Canalside ice rink did you want to come with us?”

“Oh I don’t want to intrude.”

“Intrude on what? Guys skating around shooting puck into a net?” Will said. I laughed so did Alex he knew I was trying to get out of this. He knew the reason why.

Let's get real

Dear @fuckingxvikings

I was made aware that you made a post about blogs who write fanfiction, specifically about Alex and his friends. Can’t help but feel like you’re talking to me? So, thought I would respond. But unlike you, I am not a coward and will just call you out directly.

I know that my fic is not for everyone, it contains smut and is indeed about Alex himself. A lot of people in this fandom like to read fanfiction with or without smut about Ivar and you are right to say that writing about Alex himself could be considered to be more delicate. However, all fanfiction is FICTIONAL, so at no point in time did I claim that Alex or his friends are like this in REAL LIFE.

A few weeks ago, I posted that I had doubts about writing my fic because of those reasons. At that time, I got a lot of support from people on here who convinced me to keep writing. One of those people told me that it would be a shame to stop writing and being creative because of what other people might say or think. I agree. Fanfics are constantly written about people like Tom Hiddleston, Stan Sebastian,… so explain to me why that is ok, but writing about Alex isn’t.

Through writing, I have met some amazing people on here! And you know what? We chatted privately too! You seemed nice and genuine. Not once did you say anything about my fic, not once did you spreak up about this. The hypocritical part for me is that you told me there were a lot of backstabbing people on here and I disagreed with you, but I see what you mean now.

To be honest, you have changed your blog name three times now. You had an anti-alicia account that hated on her, spread negativity and inspired others to join you. Everybody is entitled to do whatever they want on here, I’m just saying it’s a bit hypocritical of you to judge us. You have probably blocked me and all of my fellow sisters who write Alex fics, but that’s ok because somehow, I feel like we’re better off without YOU. You spread negativity in this community and you thrive on drama and I am done with that.

To all my sister wives: NEVER stop writing because someone might not like it, if you have a story inside of you, you need to let it out. My sisters can tag me in anything and everything and I will read it!

I want to thank all of my followers that support me and my writing. Don’t go hate on her page, spend your energy on reblogging fanfics you care for, support the writers you like by commenting so they know you are reading their work and you appreciate it. If you happen to reblog a hot picture of Alex or his friends and it pops up on my feed, I wouldn’t be mad either :) And that’s all I have to say about it

Painted [Lafayette x Reader]

Length: 1771 words

Genre: FLUFF

AU: Modern Time

TW: Nada

A/N: I finished this within two hours of starting it ahaha. I thought of this idea as I was painting my room. I need moar fluff so I might make a part 2 of this.

As the sun entered your room from the window signalling the start of a new day, you sighed. You have outgrown your apartment, and you were feeling very blue. You needed a positive change in your life- everything has been very static, and though that was not a bad thing, you felt the need for a new perspective. The walls around you seemed to suffocate you- the dull in-between colour of white and cream. Just then an idea popped up in your head; you could paint your room! It would be the perfect amount of change you needed in your life. You jumped out of bed, and made your way to the bathroom to prepare yourself for the next few days. You stocked up your fridge with food because in times like this, you were not going to leave your apartment, you bought two gallons of paint- the colour you picked out was mint green, and all the painting supplies that went with it. There was something nagging you in the back of your mind, something you seemed to be forgetting, but you shrugged off the feeling and got to work. The work was more tiring than you anticipated, you took more breaks than you would like, and your fond sentiments towards the idea had turned sour. You had hoped to be done within three days, but it was now pushing five. Your food supply had dwindled down to nothing, and you were adamant on not going out to get more food until you were done. You rested on the floor of your room, looking at the unfinished mess of your room, and your stomach grumbling with hunger. You sighed. You hadn’t touched your phone in days, and there was still that nagging feeling that you were forgetting something.

Oh shit. You remembered the minor detail you were forgetting. You had forgotten to get into contact with your boyfriend, Gilbert.

“This is so exciting!”

“No, it’s not.”

“Don’t listen to your father, he’s being Mr. Sour Pants.”

“You should be, too!”

“Oh, hush!” Kurt scolds his husband while twisting his daughter’s curly hair into a perfect waterfall braid. “This is Tracy’s first date and you should be happy it’s with a gentleman like Christian.”

“How do you know he’s a gentleman? You’ve never met him,” Blaine says.

“Because our first born has very high standards,” Kurt states matter-of-factly. “That’s something you get from Mr. Sour Pants,” he stage-whispers to Tracy, who giggles.

give me something that's not angst! please!

i’m gonna try but i don’t promise anything. also keep in my mind that i just came up with this, so i’m sorry if it ends up sucking

ok so no powers + vegas + friends to lovers (with a twist) au

kara just got promoted to reporter, so alex and lucy decide to take her to vegas so she can celebrate and also unwind a little bc the poor girl is just a nervous mess all the time and super focused on her work and “honestly kara, now you have no excuse because you’re no longer cat’s assistant”

kara finally relenting after they spend an entire week insisting and annoying her about it. she programs everything and they travel there the following friday. they’re just going to spent the weekend and come back on monday.

they go out on friday. alex robbing everyone blind on poker and using the winnings to pay for their night, kara getting drunk and being a giggling mess and lucy making friends with those very nice girls that tell them about a very nice bar that they plan to go the following day.

on saturday they go to said bar and they get extremely shit faced. like, alex doesn’t need an excuse to drink and lucy is having entirely too much fun getting drunk and plying kara with shot after shot and seeing her being ridiculous cute and totally oblivious to everyone flirting with her.

at some point in the night alex and lucy end up making out for an extremely long while and end up losing sight of kara. it’s at this exact same point that this absolutely positively drop dead gorgeous woman meets kara, after helping her in getting rid of this unnecessary white boy and his advances (“is there a particular reason you’re bothering my girlfriend…?” “mon-el” “well, manuel, you can leave us alone now” “mon-el! and we were just having some fun, beautiful” “i don’t particularly care, mark. leave.”)

kara, beautiful innocent and very drunk bisexual bby, turning to her savior and just blurting “are you an angel?” as soon as she sees lena’s face. lena raising her left eyebrow and smirking in That Way but also laughing because wow this girl is really cute

they go sit together and they end up drinking more and talking and kara is drunk and has no inhibitions and is very touchy feely and at some point she’s basically sitting in lena’s lap and that’s exactly how lucy and alex find them

kara shooting up in her seat and giggling a lot and telling her sister that she met the love of her life and “alex she’s so pretty i did such a good job she’s a literal angel and alex are you listening to me i saw her and i was just wow blown away by her beauty and she changed my life alex” and lucy saying they should get married and everyone thinking this is an extremely good idea

lena is very gay and very extra and they only met hours ago but she already has such a hopeless crush on kara like love at first sight type of shit and she buys goddamn rings for them and kara wants elvis presley to be the one to marry them and she gets upset when she remembers elvis died but they calm her down and they go in search of a church with an elvis look alike

the next day they wake up in a hotel room together but not naked because kara passed out as soon as they got the honeymoon suit (that of course lena got) and “what the frick happened”

kara being extremely confused and horrified and all stages of “oh no” and lena wakes up to kara pacing around the room and trying to call her sister and lucy but neither of them picks up the phone and ugh ugh ugh

lena holds her liquor a little better but still has sort of a hangover and she sort of puts together in her mind what happened in the night before and she just… starts swearing and kara whirls around and honest to go Squeaks when she sees lena is awake

lena taking a deep breath and cautiously talking to kara and they get breakfast and they talk about what happened the night before and soon alex and lucy are interrupting them and almost knocking the room’s door down and “kara!! open this goddamn door or i swear i’ll kick it fucking open!”

overprotective alex danvers already accusing lena of taking advantage of her little sister and lucy just giving the patented lane glare and they all having no idea what to do and “obviously they should get a divorce. it’ll actually be easy, seeing as this happens constantly in vegas”

except!! ex fucking cept!! lena is a luthor and imagine the scandal it’ll be when people find out “Lena Luthor got married after a night of drunk debauchery” and then “Lena Luthor Gets Broken Up With! Click here to see what close friends have to say about this”

and kara is a very nice person and she has a crush on lena too and “it’s only fair i help her out after she helped me last night with that guy! come on, alex, she was so nice to us! it’s a good idea!” and she makes this pathetic puppy dog eyes and That Pout and lucy and alex are wrapped around her little finger and just sigh in unison and agree with her

lena and kara coming back to national city and they’re just… seen together around the city together all the time now because they decided to be friends even if they’re married and soon the paparazzi are taking pictures of them and cat calling kara in her office and kara saying she met lena back in metropolis once when she was visiting her cousin and they kept a long distance relationship and lena proposed and now they’re married and wow

and then they’re just friends that soon turn into best friends and they have movie nights and sleepovers and weekly (that soon turn into daily - if they’re both free) lunches and then they soon have clothes in each others apartments and toothbrushes

at one point they basically already moved in together (at lena’s place because it’s bigger and conveniently closer to both of their jobs)

kara’s birthday comes around and they all get drunk again but this time they actually sleep together and the next day it’s a bit awkward but they’ve been in love for a long time so it’s been a long time coming

turns out everyone (of their friends who knew the truth) thought they were already dating by this point and they made bets on it months ago and everything and they (lena and kara)… decided to stay married anyway

Good to Be Home

by Inspector Boxer

Fandom: Supergirl

Characters: Alex Danvers, Kara Danvers, mentions of Maggie Sawyer.

Rating: T

Summary: “I’ve got the best sister in 38 earths.”

Author’s Notes: I saw a post where someone wondered how Kara would feel being controlled by the Dominators after her experience with red kryptonite. I wish I could find it, but no luck. It got me thinking, though, and this was the result. Just a quick story about what could happen when Kara and Alex finally get to talk after Kara returns.

Thanks to @zennie-fic for the quick beta.

“Kara?” Alex closed her front door, her heart rate slowing after spiking at the sight of a shadowy figure sitting on her couch. “You okay?”

Her sister’s head was down, and as Alex came closer she heard Kara swallow roughly. “I just… I needed to talk to you.” Kara finally looked at Alex, although the darkness hid most of her features. “Is this… is this a bad time?”

“There’s never a bad time to talk to my little sister.” Alex smiled encouragingly. She dumped her bag on the floor and slid her concealed holster off before setting the weapon next to the door. “You hungry?”

“Not really,” Kara admitted.

Alex’s stomach knotted with worry. Kara had been different since returning from the other Earth two days ago. She hadn’t said much about the experience, but there had been a shadow in her eyes, something weighing on that already overburdened soul.

Settling next to Kara on the couch, Alex studied her sister in the low light. Tears were drying on Kara’s cheeks, and Alex wondered how long her sister had been sitting there, alone in the dark, hurting. Reaching out, Alex gripped Kara’s hand, tangling their fingers. “Talk to me,” she urged.

“That’s the problem,” Kara said quietly. “We always say we’re going to do that and we don’t.”

Two Weeks Later

Thomas sat fidgeting on a dark blue couch in front of an older man with a kind smile and German accent.

This was step one in his plan to be reunited with Alexander. Alexander had been seeing a therapist, and still was, three times a week. After an intervention by James, Laf, and Alex, Thomas begrudgingly agreed to do the same once a week, but he asked for a different therapist from Alex’s. Lafayette found Dr. Von Steuben and got Thomas an appointment the following week.

So there he was. He didn’t really want to be there. Actually, he didn’t want to be there at all. But Alexander needed him to be there, so of course he’d do it. He’d do anything for Alex.

“So, Thomas, is it?” Dr. Von Steuben said. “What brings you here today?”

“My boyfriend,” Thomas said, his southern accent thicker than he’d expected. It happened when he was stressed.

“Tell me more about that?” Dr. Von Steuben prompted.

“He tried to kill himself recently, and even though he’s getting help now and I think he’s improving, well, which makes me happy, he and our friends got it in their heads that I’m depressed.”

“Your tone suggests you don’t agree with that.”

“Yeah,” Thomas said like it should be obvious. “Clearly I’m not depressed.”

“What makes you say that?” Dr. Von Steuben said. “What I mean,” he quickly clarified, “is what symptoms do you associate with depression that you feel you’re lacking?”

“I’m not staying in bed all day, first of all,” Thomas said, ticking off his fingers as he counted. “Second, I don’t cry all the time. Third, I’m not sad.”

“How do you feel?”

Thomas shrugged.

“Think about it for a moment,” Dr. Von Steuben encouraged.

After a few seconds he shrugged again. “Maybe… nothing. I don’t think I feel much of anything at the moment.”

“Would you say you feel empty? Maybe numb?”

Empty. That was exactly how he felt. Like someone had hollowed him out.

“Yeah,” he said slowly. “But why’s it matter?”

“That’s a huge sign of depression, Thomas.” Dr. Von Steuben trained his eyes on Thomas’. “Your friends seem to know you well, and they clearly care about you a lot. If they’re worried you’re depressed, don’t you think it’s worth giving the thought some consideration?”

Thomas had never thought of it that way. He’d never thought of his friends, his boyfriend, seeing something in him that others didn’t. That he himself didn’t.

“I-I guess,” Thomas whispered.

In the past, depression had been a weight, pressing him into his bed, making it harder and harder to think clearly. It’d stolen his desire to do anything fun, to do anything, to exist.

But maybe it wasn’t always like that. Maybe he should listen to his friends.

Just maybe.

“Yeah,” Thomas said more certainly this time. “That is a good idea.”

Cheering Up Calum (Calum Chambers O.S.)

That’s what friends do, cheer each other up when they’re down. Mari tells herself she’ll do it for anyone. Because they’re just friends. Buddies. Mates. Bros. Uh-huh.

For maribaybe, thank you for being there practically from the start. You’re the only one I’ll willingly share Calum with. Kidding! (Not kidding)

A long, deep sigh came from Calum, the latest in a series of unhappy noises he was wont to make of late. He’s been really hard on himself ever since that game against Liverpool, even though in Mari’s opinion, he should give himself a little slack. After all, it was his first start in five months, and with a partner he can’t exactly communicate fluently here.

“I’m not going to be great company today, Mari. You should go out with Alex and the others so you don’t waste your weekend,” he said.

“I’m not wasting my weekend,” she assured him.

I don't know if you're still taking buckynat prompts but what about Nat finding some old cap comics and teasing the hell out of Bucky for them? :D

When he reflects on it, Bucky really isn’t surprised that Peggy Carter chose the most inconvenient time possible to call it quits and check in permanently with the Good Lord.

Chapter Fifty Two Part Two

After the celebration brunch that had taken place at Harry’s that morning, as the day moved into evening it was time for another, and very important event that evening.

Alex drew a deep breath as the car carrying her, Harry, and Emma pulled up to the gate at Clarence House for dinner with Charles, Camilla, Will, and Kate.

“Are you okay?” Harry murmured, smoothing his tie as he leaned in close to her.

“Absolutely.” She turned a wide smile to him. “Just…don’t take this the wrong way but…”

“Okay…” he chuckled, waiting for her to continue.

“Sometimes…” she shook her head and laughed lightly. “Sometimes it’s still a little surreal. And this is one of those times.”
