I understand the intention behind all the “what if you aborted the person who would cure cancer” kind of stuff, but I actually hate it a little bit because 1.) you can’t make a decent argument with hypotheticals 2.) abortion isn’t wrong based on how much we could have gained from the aborted person. Abortion is wrong because it kills a human being and whether that human being would have cured cancer or become a drug addict or died extremely young or had a severe intellectual disability or been in prison or some combination of the above, their life was inherently valuable. As are all lives. Period.
