EVERYTHING WRONG WITH T70S SEASON 8

Feel free to add.

  • Boring opening sequence.
  • Donna doesn’t know why she and Jackie are friends for no apparent reason.
  • And keeps getting better by not actually caring about her or anyone but herself. And Randy.
  • Hyde’s villain mustache.
  • It’s been just a month since season 7 finale, why on Earth Kelso looks like if he hit the gym 24/7 for three years?
  • Fez/Jackie.
  • Hyde’s clothes.
  • Jackie pining for Fez. I’m going to say it again: Jackie PINING for FEZ.
  • Samantha.
  • No Eric, no Kelso.
  • What on Earth is Hyde doing married to a stranger and how he got to accept it so easily?
  • For some reason, Hyde suddenly doesn’t care of his friends either.
  • How’s that we were never told both, Jackie and Hyde, had half brothers? How is that this didn’t made them bond even more? What the fuck?
  • Jackie doesn’t fight Hyde about his bullshit, doesn’t even slap the asshole.
  • Hyde leaving drugs is a bad thing and his friends make an intervention so he will start consuming drugs again. It’s not funny. IT’S NOT FUNNY.
  • “Whorus maximus”, says ex-feminist Hyde.
  • The fuck is wrong with Fez’s super greasy hair, I–
  • Donna/Randy, Eric breaking up with her via letter for the most stupid reason ever after we got entire episodes in season 7 about how the distanse was not going to be an obstacle for them.
  • New guy suddenly is “the best”, is Hyde in love with him or what?
  • Hyde slaps Donna’s ass.
  • Red and Kitty are ok with a stripper living in their basement instead of, I don’t know, kicking their now fucking married son out of their house.
  • There was nothing wrong with Kitty’s hair, you suck, writers.
  • Jackie lets her romantic life be dictated by a fucking list.
  • Ridiculous dream about the beauty and the beast staring Jackie and Fez, when their “love story” is NOTHING like that one. It’s worse.
  • Is Kitty an alcoholic now? Ok.
  • Bob decides to leave town.
  • Donna doesn’t go to college and does actually kind of nothing with her life but wait for Eric, doesn’t go to college even after he breaks up with her and instead starts dating a guy she has met for about a month and keeps doing nothing.
  • Hyde yells at Samantha like his parents used to yell at each other to then have sex, because that’s healthy, alright. And the show makes it look like if that’s fine and good for their already unbelievable relationship.
  • Jackie constantly gets injured, humilliated in public, stepped on and fucked over. She literally gets green hair from her one true love, Fez.
  • Out of nowhere, Jackie thinks she IS a bad person and constantly says so and the laugh track is put because, for some reason, a girl hating herself is funny.
  • Hyde is married and nothing changes for him, he is still the same asshole living in his adoptive parent’s basement to the point the show kinda forgets about Sam for entire episodes.
  • Donna decides her new best friend is the stripper, because she wasn’t a bad friend already.
  • Zero chemistry between Donna and Randy. Fez and Jackie? LMAO, ridiculous.
  • Hyde’s beer belly.
  • That guy that took Hyde’s place and face.
  • Jackie’s sudden shallowness and other backwards steps, even wrose than her season 1 self.
  • Fez macho and playboy self, like, eww.
  • Caroline’s mental illness is still a joke, even more so now.
  • Donna decides to not tell anyone, not even Jackie or Hyde, that Eric broke up with her but tells new guy that is obviously going to get into her pants.
  • Samantha is actually married to an old man that could be her father.
  • Romantization of old guy-young sexy woman relationship right there.
  • Hyde is ok with everyone saying his wife is a whore and even says they can watch her take off her clothes but have to pay him, actually uses the phrase “Sam? What I told you? They have to pay ME first.” when insinuated she was going to strip for his friends.
  • Hyde calls Jackie a whore, a bitch, and other names after he couldn’t stan some random guy calling her that.
  • These people aren’t kids anymore and for the sake of jokes decide to do shit like stealing, proclaim drugs are ok, doing nothing all day but talk bad about the other and hold their life on pause because the show forgot they aren’t teenagers anymore.
  • Actually, all characters are worse than when they were teens.
  • Fez/Jackie (yes, it’s here two times).

jugheadaandrews  asked:

Do you have any memorable experience watching t70s? Like a memory of a day you watched X or Y episode that has stuck with you ever since?

The one that came to mind faster was the first time my brother and I saw ‘Street Fighting Man’ (season 7). Most specific, when Hyde sees Jackie crying.

We were both pissed at the fact that they had broke up, and he was getting annoyed at how Jackie was being written during this episode as wanting to bother Hyde as much as she could. I kinda understood why she was doing that and I was actually on Jackie’s side when she decided to broke up with him (even when it still bothered me that the writers did that), so then it rolls to that moment.

I remember seeing that and let the pop corn bol fall from my hands, and my brother exclaimed, “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…” and then clapped his hand on his thigh, “She doesn’t deserve this!” and in an instant, his annoyance was gone and he was right back at being the biggest Jackie stan I know.

(My brother looooves Jackie, like– loooooooves Jackie)

Another great experience I remember is watching the thanksgiving episode from season 5. The moment Jackie grabs Hyde and kisses him on the stairs, my mom was searching for a book and she looked up when we giggled and went “Amen, sister!” at Jackie doing that lol.

My brother famous “I fuckitty hate this episode!” at every cut of ‘It’s a wonderful life’ lol. And our “noooooooooooo” “yeeeeeeees” “nOOOOOOOOOOOO” “JESUS CHRIST JUST FUCK!” at the Valentine’s episode from season 5 too lol.

Take in mind most of these things happened around 3 and 4 in the morning.

FrasierFan’s submission

Hello, “FrasierFan” here again.  I now remember why I’d left Tumblr a long time ago (and only started looking again after getting into Supernatural last year). the technical glitches the service (apparently still) has/had.  In any case, I just wanted to clarify a bit on why I directed you to the David Hyde Pierce interview.  I do think a big part of why the J’s give every appearance of “closeting” is the privacy issue.  Being in the public eye to any level (and in the 90s, I’d say Pierce was much more than either of the J’s is now) can be a problem when you have certain lifestyles, but it really is much easier now than it used to be.

I do think that the fact that the J’s are playing a pair of brothers on a show that many see as a ‘family" (and many who are religious watch on a regular basis) may have as much to do with it, as well.  There are many people (at least in the US especially older ones) who couldn’t/can’t deal with the idea that the two leads of a show primarily about “family” is headed up by two people in a relationship who are playing brothers.  David Hyde Pierce was in a show about brothers, but was never in a real life relationship with Kelsey Grammer.  FWIW, there were still many straight female fans (usually young and with a crush on Pierce) who were shocked to find out he was gay when he got married to his husband.  Those of us who’d been paying attention (even a little) over the years weren’t.  Sometimes it really is a case of being able to see reality and not just deluding yourself.

Just thought I’d post a “what pretty much convinced me the J’s are ‘more’ than just brothers/friends” note here, as well.  The move to Austin by Jensen (when Jared had a pretty good reason for living there since Jeff’s practice is based in Austin and he lives there) was a pretty big clue, but the thing that kind of  convinced me wasn’t really anything either J did.  It was the wedding photo of Jeff hugging Jared.  In most weddings, even if the groom looks nervous upset, the best man (ie,, Jeff here) usually looks excited or happy if everything is good.  Jeff, a smart man, but no actor looked like he was sending his little brother off to be executed in that photo.  SOMETHING was wrong…..had to be.  So here I am, maybe not a 100% hatter, but well over 50%.

I’m sorry you’re getting some negative mail from some of those who don’t agree with some of your thoughts.  Even when I may not agree, I do find what you say thought provoking and/or interesting.  Keep up the good work (and remember what I said earlier here about some not seeing things until it becomes impossible to deny).

Hello, dear Frasier anon!

I am delighted that your message finally came through! The submit option works far better than the ask one and it supports longer letters. I hope you decide to come back to Tumblr one day! Who knows, perhaps they’ll improve it at some point! One can always hope.

On to business now! I have never been a big fan of Frasier, but I’ve watched a few episodes here and there. I had always assumed that Mr. Pierce was gay. It’s hard to explain. Perhaps he just pinged on my gaydar, I don’t know. Maybe it’s what you said - having a set of open eyes that pick up on things. I know both Jared and Jensen ping like hell on my gaydar.

I very much agree that the general audiences perhaps aren’t ready to see a gay couple play brothers on television. It’s really a shame, but what can you do… This is unfortunately the world we live in. I don’t know how the fangirls would react if the J’s decided to come out, though. I’m guessing many would be overjoyed while some others would be disappointed. Maybe a fraction of the folks would shrug and go “it’s about time” and resume whatever it was they were doing.

That picture of Jeff hugging Jared sure is telling, I agree. We can only see his eyes, but if they are anything to go by, he sure isn’t hiding a smile. Notice the tight fist as well? Something was very wrong indeed…

I needed to add this picture where Jensen hugs his man. Full-on lover-style neck hug for maximal love and support. I don’t know what could possibly convince me that this wedding was a happy event. Some of the pictures turned out to look happy, but then there are the heap of photos that make things look very, very wrong.

Thank you very much for your support! I will continue as I have before, speaking my mind and blocking the rude rubies that try to shut me up. I hope you are feeling well day and your weekend is a relaxing one! Please, feel free to message me anytime.

I posted a chat post about Licht having a playground crush on Hyde and expressing it in the worst way. I liked the idea that wrote a little AU on it.

“Now, what did I say about fighting with your friends?” Mahiru lightly lectured the middle schoolers and the two boys mumbled a half-hearted reply. Licht had his arms crossed and his lips were set in a stubborn line. Beside him, Hyde had an equally defiant expression. Mahiru had to sigh at the two. Never in his life had he known two children that fought as much as Licht and Hyde did.

“He’s not my friend.” Licht said and threw Hyde a scowl. A fire sparked between them and Mahiru quickly intervened before they could fight again. Even though Mahiru was only a volunteer, he was often called upon whenever the two fought because he was the only person that could deal with them. He placed a hand on both of their shoulders and spoke softly to them.

“You two are classmates at least. If you two have a disagreement, you should use your words to work it out. You’ll never solve anything if you’re too busy fighting with each other. Now, tell me what this is all about and we’ll find a solution together.” Of course, that was easier said than done because the two immediately started screaming over each other.

“He stole my crayons!” Licht cried. “I was using them and he took it from my hand without asking!”

“They belong to the class!” Hyde was quick to shoot back. “And you just hogged them all.”

“This is about crayons?” Mahiru groaned but he tried to keep his voice calm. “Licht, you need to learn how to share. Those crayons are for everyone to use. Hyde, you cannot take things without asking. Even if he said no, there are a lot of crayons in the bin and you could’ve found another colour.”

Mahiru heard the door open behind him and he turned to see a man enter the small classroom. He recognized Kuro easily because he picked up his brother whenever he got in trouble— which was very often. Hyde grinned widely when he saw his older brother and ran into his waiting arms. He stuck his tongue at Licht from the safety of Kuro’s arms. “I get to go home first. I win.”

“Can’t deal.” Kuro sighed when Licht tried to kick Hyde and Mahiru had to hold him back. He turned to Mahiru and bowed slightly to him. He forced Hyde to lower his head as well. “Sorry about my brother, Mahiru. I’ll have Wrath talk to him when we get home.”

“Maybe you should talk to him. Hyde loves you and respects you so you may get through to him.” Mahiru suggested and Kuro didn’t look convinced.

“If this little troublemaker loved me, he wouldn’t get into fights so I can stay home for once.” Kuro pointed out and playfully ruffled Hyde’s hair. The small boy puffed his cheeks at his brother’s teasing and tried to mess up Kuro’s hair in revenge. Mahiru had to smile at their banter because it was blatantly clear that they loved each other.

“You complain about having to pick me up but you love seeing Shirota-sensei! You should be thanking me—” Kuro quickly covered his brother’s mouth and tried to salvage the situation.

“The things kids say these days!” Kuro laughed shakily with a blush. Mahiru nodded in agreement and giggled. Seeing his smile, Kuro’s heart jumped a little and he did the only thing one could do in that situation. He ran. Still covering Hyde’s mouth, he turned away and said over his shoulder. “Well, we need to get going before Hugh starts to wonder where we are. Bye, Mahiru.”

He waved bye to the pair before he turned back to Licht who was sulking. He knelt in front of him so they were eye levelled with him. “I’m sure your mother will be here soon. Do you want to do something while we wait for her? We can finish colouring that picture you were making for her. Hyde’s not here to steal your crayons so you’ll be able to get it done.”

Licht nodded and ran to his desk to take out his drawing. His parents were often busy because they were famous performers. They loved their son but their jobs didn’t allow them to be with him as much as they wanted. Mahiru would often stay behind to watch over Licht. He sat next to Licht as best as he could in the small chair and looked at his drawing. “That’s a handsome angel. Your mom will love this picture of you.”

“It is me.” Licht beamed, happy that Mahiru quickly recognized what he drew. He tapped a doodle in the corner of his picture. “And I’m protecting Mr. Kitty from this demon.”

“… That looks an awful lot like Hyde.” He frowned but Licht innocently nodded. Mahiru knew that boys often fought with each other when they were young but he couldn’t let them continue. “Licht, why can’t you try to be friends with Hyde?”

“Because his face is stupid and it makes me feel weird.” Licht told him but Mahiru noticed the small blush he had on his face. “He’s just dumb in general. Remember the time I fell and hurt my knee? He hugged me instead of getting you. Somehow, he made my stomach feel weird like there were butterflies. He made me eat butterflies! I don’t know how but he did.”

“He didn’t feed you butterflies.” Mahiru couldn’t help but laugh. It was obvious that Licht was experiencing his first crush but he was too young to understand his feelings. He also concluded that Licht was one of those kids that picked on their crushes without knowing better. But Mahiru knew that it would be best to curb that behaviour. “I think Hyde was trying to comfort you.”

“He was?” Licht looked up at him but then shook his head. “But he’s a demon.”

“Do you want to know how to purify a demon?” Mahiru whispered, as if he was about to divulge a secret, and Licht listened intently. “All a demon need is friendship and kindness. How about you try to get along with Hyde from now on? I’m sure you’ll become close friends. Of course, that will mean no more fighting. An angel and a reformed demon will make a great team, don’t you think?”

“… It is my duty as an angel to purify demons.” Licht said tentatively and Mahiru smiled knowingly. “But I don’t know if Hyde likes me.”

“He does.” Mahiru said reassuringly. “How about we start out with small steps? When you get home, you should write him a letter telling him how you feel. It doesn’t have to be long but you should be honest. If you feel shy about giving it to him in person, you can leave it in his cubby.”

“A note…” Licht mumbled and then smiled. “I’ll tell him exactly how I feel!”

“Sensei!” Hyde ran to Mahiru with a piece of paper clutched in his hand. He held it out to him and said, “I found this in my cubby today! I don’t know who put it there.”

“I think I have an idea.” Mahiru tried to contain his smile as he took the note from Hyde. He was glad that Licht took his advice and wrote Hyde a note. Hopefully, this would mean that they would stop fighting. But when he read the note, his hopes were dashed.

I want you to get out of my school.

Licht, no! This was pretty short but I had a lot of fun writing this. I was going to make Lily the school teacher but he’s Hyde’s brother and would be bias to him. And having Mahiru would let me insert some KuroMahi :P
