Forgotten Fact about 413

4+1+3=8. 8 is the atomic number of Oxygen. Oxygen is why you breath. John is a Breath player. Throughout Act 5 Act 2 John had a flirtation thing with Vriska. Vriska. Do you  see it? I’ll say it again: Vriska. Still didn’t catch it? Sound it out with me: Vri. Ska. That’s right. Ska. As in Skaia, the governing force behind the story’s universe. But that’s not really true now is it? We all know Andrew Hussie is the real governing force of the tale. What do we know about Andrew Hussie, that’s it, he is attracted to Vriska. And who is Vriska attracted to at one point? Tavros. The symbol Tavros wears on his shirt is that of the Taurus constellation. Taurus is only one letter away from Tauros as in the Pokemon. Tauros has three tails. Three. Three is how many sides a triangle has. A triangle with an eye in the center is the symbol used by the Illuminati. Eye. Doc Scratch has no eyes. Doc Scratch is an excellent host. Newgrounds hosted [S] Cascade, but the site crashed on its release. Know what else crashed? Three planes on the date September 11th, 2001. One flight did not crash but landed safely. The president on that date was George W. Bush.  George W. Bush was the United State’s 43rd president. Did you catch that? He was the 43rd president and 1 flight did not crash into its intended target.

413 confirmed Bush did 9/11

Suddenly I felt very bad for Andrew Hussie because he worked so hard all these years and got scammed and his fanbase left him and he tried to quietly dig himself out of a hole he’s not having fun in anymore while HS’ fans were getting impatient and snappy, and and I deeply enjoyed his comics and I want to know more about his ideas and concepts and I want him to be happy but he’s not and I kinda cried anyway

i found this and please just read hussies comments on vriska because im almost in tears i cant believe ive never seen this before…. shes my FAVE and i will eat up literally any commentary made abt her

When I was about to launch into the Hivebent arc, I thought one cool opportunity that presented was to introduce a very major character out of nowhere, who we had literally no foreknowledge of other than one shot of a strange looking horn cropped off panel. The entire profile of this character was always meant to be “someone who is in some way involved with practically everything", and the scorpio sign seemed suited to this. This aspect of her profile was conveyed up front in her introduction, and hammered repeatedly with almost every scene she’s been in. Hivebent was a good introduction to the ways in which she entangles herself nefariously with everything, and slowly but surely, this has been revealed to be the case in the main plotline. It was unclear before, and indeed unclear that this was even a question that needed to be answered, because she had not been introduced yet. And personally, I think there's something kind of exciting which that proposition injects into a story.

Before Hivebent, most of the trolls were portrayed as incompetent at trolling. And when the roster was expanded, the question was begged: are any of these trolls any good at trolling? So part of her profile was also to serve as the ultimate troll. Karkat was an effective troll insofar as he was loud and angry and obnoxious, but that’s about as far as it went. Vriska was designed to be a good troll in the purest sense of the word. She gets people legitimately riled up. Both in the story, and even more importantly, outside it. There is no other troll, or really even any other aspect of Homestuck, which generates more debate. This was intentional, and continues to be.

Hussie & Hiveswap

I saw a post yesterday talking about The Odd Gentlemen and how they, not only got away with some of the Kickstarter money, but that wasted Hussie’s time and it all ended with him losing a good chunk of the Fandom. I’d be adding this on top of that post but I was on mobile and I didn’t really feel like typing all this by tapping there, but…

EITHER WAY. I agree very much that the Gigapause was devastating to the Fandom as a whole, and everything was delayed way too much, however, the fatalist light in which this post was put really made me dislike its entire premise. They mentioned how Hiveswap would never have a fraction of the following it’d have had otherwise, and other pretty sad and pessimistic views on how Hussie might be doing. But I believe that’s not exactly the case.

First of all, bigger or smaller Fandom, Hussie loves his fans, but over that, he absolutely loves his work. There was an AMA about Hiveswap a while ago saying how Hussie had already spent all the Kickstarter money and the project was continuing being paid from his own pocket, that there had been such huge cliffs to push through in the making that it was a miracle he was still determined on finishing the game.

But this is Hussie we’re talking about. Homestuck, Hiveswap, in the way he’s always spoken about how the Fandom grew and became its own things, the playful teases to the Fans, the way he spoke about Act 7, he’s got passion. He’s absolutely in love with this project, and it’s very much passion driven. Kickstarter Money or not, Stolen or otherwise, taking 2 or 5 years, with him determined to push through, I don’t think it was ever a doubt the game would come to be sooner or later. Would ‘stubborn as a mule’ count as an equine pun befitting him? My point is, while it’s sad all he had to go through, and even if the game didn’t get as much following, this is Hussie we’re talking about. As long as we’re there to check it out when it comes out and (hopefully) manages to catch our attention and makes us invested in it, it’ll all have been worth it.

The other point that made me feel a bit off, however, was the way they spoke about how Hiveswap would now have none of the following it could’ve had. However, need I remind you about Undertale? Like, yeah it might seem almost like begging to a friend, or feeling hopeful, but Undertale blew up and is still kinda blowing up, Toby Fox made quite the masterpiece, and it’s very likely, with his involvement, the popularity of Undertale will directly affect Hiveswap’s popularity. For better or worse. At the very least, I wouldn’t be surprised if Toby Fox not only makes the game more popular, but actually brings more people to Homestuck.

Specially now that it’s over, and as Hussie said, reading it all down at your own pace knowing there’s no ‘upd8′s’ to wait for was almost the intended way to read it. It’s only now that Homestuck, as a complete story, is showcased at its best.

Jade’s parental unit, as the Pattern Breaking parental unit, has a much larger variety of strange, off putting interests.  Dad has FANCIFUL HARLEQUINS, Mom has EXSQUISITE WIZARDS, and Bro has RADICAL PUPPETS.  Grandpa has not one, but FOUR such interests, of the same descriptive two word format.  They’re all just as dumb though.  One reason among several for this was to create an element of uncertainty over what kind of item Jade would prototype with .  And by uncertainty, I mean misdirection, which is what I always mean by uncertainty.

Notice the colors of the lights in each room.  Orange, pink, and cyan, corresponding with Dirk, Roxy, and Jane.  The items have a loose correlation with the other three guardians too.  Knights in that Dirk is a skilled swordsman.  Roxy’s land is full of pyramids, Jane was grandpa’s long estranged blue lady.  You see how the gears are always turning.  Not only does everything mean something.  It turns out everything means EVERYTHING.  Now you know.

Andrew Hussie, Homestuck Book 3 Commentary

My pal @icel just sort of handed me the commentary for book 3, which is rad cause it turns out to confirm I’ve been right in arguing that Grandpa’s home decor reflects the Alphas for months. (Obviously doesn’t prove anything else linked there, though I stand by all of it. Just saying.)

I don’t normally argue based on Word of God cause I don’t like speculating pointlessly on Hussie as a person but hey! This is part of a product made for fans, and also it takes a lot of the legwork out of me getting to say I’m right, so like fuck it ;)

Imma blow your mind real quick if nobody’s already brought this up:

We know Hussie used photoshop for homestuck. In one of the recaps you can see scribble-mode Hussie tapping really fast on a keyboard and the photoshop animation timeline is shown below the frame.

In Photoshop (and other Adobe products), a Scratch Disk is the space where temporary resources (beta kids, universe) are held to work on a project that is currently open (alpha kids, universe). Once the project (universe) is saved and closed (endgame), the resources are scratched (removed) to free up space.

When you wanna draw stupid things on your tablet as a good Strider and ask to your internet buddies to request you some homestuck ships (or something like that???)

Guys, I know it’s frustrating that the game met with some hiccups and is being refined so long past its original release date, and I know most of the posts about it are just for the sake of the meme and totally harmless, but can we sorta. Not pressure the WhatPumpkin team and scream at them for not delivering the game earlier, specially after the issues Hiveswap has gone through and SPECIALLY right now when there’s a huge issue of games being released before they should and becoming vastly inferior versions to what they should’ve been?
