“Every time Splash had an epileptic seizure, Orkid, who was just about a year older, would be there to bring him back to the surface to breathe if the episode occurred at the bottom of the pool. She would lead him away from the hard walls where he could hurt himself as his seizure caused him to lose control of his body and flail against the concrete. She would sometimes put herself between Splash and the wall to keep him from injuring himself.”
