how to store yarn

We finished the second of the grey-black wristwarmers for our friends’ birthday! Their presents are now all ready, except we want to wash the wristwarmers first (first to see how they’ll hold up, second bc the yarn was probably stored weird and had lots of lint coming off it) and giftwrap them, but there’s lots of time still.

We also started on the second of another unfinished pair… so maybe if we continue like this, we’ll have several finished pairs of wristwarmers instead of a whole bunch of partnerless ones ^^

We also made plans for rainbow coloured ones that we want to do next. Or, well, we don’t have all the colours for a rainbow, but it’s going to be brightly coloured and striped with the colours we do have! (We have yellow, red, green, turquoise and lots of different blues of which we’ll use one)

Hi I've been knitting for a while but always from a huge stash of yarn my great aunt gave me when she passed. I'm starting to run out of good-quality (not squeaky/weird textured) yarn and trying to figure out how to buy more. There's a yarn store here but it's *super* expensive (like $25 for a skein). Where would you recommend buying yarn online in the US/east coast? I'm looking at lion brand now but I'd love to have some other suggestions. Thanks! is a great site for affordable, decent quality yarn. Etsy can be worth checking out too. And has a big selection and can be good value if they’re having a sale.

Do others have ideas?
