i lost my voice for a week & nobody noticed because i never freaking talk

I’m sure this has been done before but I’ve been wondering about it for some time.

So the Radch originally/technically refers to an isolationist Dyson sphere and the Radch we know is a buffer zone protecting it from the outside.

Gloves are almost as synonymous with Radchaii culture as tea and bloody conquest, but at one point Sphene scornfully mentions something about wearing gloves being a laughable attempt at maintaining purity when outside the Actual Radch.

We know Radchaii religion of course places a great stress on purity and ritual cleanliness, about what you’ve touched, washing your hands etc. Does this mean that Original Flavour Radchaii don’t wear gloves at all times?

Brazil teacher changes hairstyle to support bullied girl - BBC News
"A boy had told my pupil her hair was ugly, and she was sad. I told her she was wonderful."

Ana Barbara Ferreira, from Sao Paulo, said her student was “sad” after being ridiculed by a boy, who had said her hair was “ugly”.

“At that moment, the only thing I could tell her was that she was wonderful and shouldn’t care about what he was saying,” she wrote in a Facebook post that went viral.

A bigger show of support came in the following day, when she went to work wearing the same hairstyle as her pupil, much to the girl’s surprise.

“When she saw me, she came running to hug me and say that I was beautiful,” Ms Ferreira said.

“I told her: ‘Today I’m beautiful like you!’”

This is one of the rare moments I feel proud of the people of my country!

Thinking about This Town, JHO, and what we currently have been told about Harry’s solo stuff, I literally am so fucking proud and happy about what they’ve created.

It feels very ‘them’, all of their stuff - all different from each other, stuff that I could have thought they’d like to do before anything was out, and like. My sons are doing the kind of music they like, want to, being artists and I think so far, all of them have been able to reach out to new audiences because THEIR MUSIC IS GOOD and, baby steps of course, but it’s about time the world knows about these four via their music.
