You pushed your glasses back up the bridge of your nose as you continued typing away at your final thesis paper of the semester. Hair up in a bun, and some ratty university sweatpants on, you were looking a little worse for wear. But that was normal during finals week, right?

The library you had been holed up in for the past five hours was dead silent, allowing you to completely focus on your paper. Your eyes were glued to your laptop screen when you heard the sound of a chair scraping backwards but you were too in the zone to look up. As long as they didn’t disrupt your concentration, you’d be good.

“You ever think that the reason you’re wearing glasses is because you’ve been staring at that screen pretty closely for about two hours straight?” You heard a curious, deep voice interrupt your thoughts.

“You ever think about how the library is a quiet place for people to work,” you retorted without looking away from your screen.

“If you really want a quiet place to work, we could head back to my place and work on some other things too, if you know what I mean.” You could practically hear the smirk grow on his face.

“That sounds like one of the first lines in a Criminal Minds episode. Hard pass.”

“You like Criminal Minds? How about you let me profile you.

You finally glanced over and you could see that there definitely was a smirk on the very attractive man’s face. His hair was wildly curly, yet somehow tamable to an extent, facial hair adorned his defined jawline, and his amused brown eyes stared into your slightly-narrowed ones.

If you weren’t supposed to email this paper to your professor in six hours, you probably would’ve taken him up on his advances, but what was more attractive than Smirky Guy was an A on your paper. Which you then turned back to.

“Are you seriously just going to keep ignoring me?” He asked.

“Yup.”

“I’m just going to keep flirting with you until you talk to me.”

“You call saying random pick up lines to a girl whose name you don’t know and receiving little to no response flirting?”

“Yup.” He said, mocking you.

You rolled your eyes and continued to type your paper.

“Aww, come on, four eyes, take a break and talk to me. It won’t hurt anyone.”

You completely turned to him. “‘Four eyes,’ really?” You raised an eyebrow at him. “What are you, five?”

“Hey, ‘four eyes’ isn’t a bad thing. You look cute in glasses.” He grinned at you and even added a wink this time.

POWER | GREED | BASIC NEEDS - Anakin Skywalker’s viewpoint.

Something’s happening. I’m not the Jedi I should be. I want more. And I know I shouldn’t.” — Anakin Skywalker.

You know as much as I loathe Palpatine; I always admired his deviousness. The Jedi took in this poor slave kid and forced their rules on him (for all the good that brought them) and as Jedi; Anakin wasn’t supposed to have anything, let alone “want” something.

“WAIT!! Padmé offered him to go with her in RotS!” Yes, and she was reaching out to him, however, Obi-Wan chose that wrong time to show up, so scratch that.

lostuntothisworld  asked:

a while back you recommended the movie Autopsy of Jane Doe and it was fantastic! Do you have any more horror movie recs that are psychological like that (with minimal jump scares preferably?)

omg yesssssssss, i sure as heck do. i looooooove recommending horror movies. kay, here we go, pychological, disturbing, and minimal jump scares:

1. Get Out (2017) - this is a newer movie, and I’m sure you’ve heard about it (and maybe even seen it already). I finally got to see it in theaters and it was marvelous. Very tense horror, minimal jump scares. Definitely recommend it if you haven’t seen it yet.

2. The Thing (1982) - this is probably my favorite horror movie, and one I will always, always recommend to people. It’s more sci-fi/horror, but horror none the less. This is a movie that feeds on uncertainty and tension, fueled by distrust and paranoia between the characters. (There was also a prequel to this movie made in 2011, and I certainly enjoyed that one as well, but it still couldn’t quite deliver the same chills and fear the 1982 version did.)

3. They Look Like People (2015) - this is another one that I just watched recently. Probably one of the best that fits the category of psychological horror. It’s a bit slow to start, but develops into a story that will leave you tense, unsure, and unsettled. Plus, it’s probably the only horror movie I have ever seen that manages to highlight mental illness without demonizing it.

4. As Above So Below (2014) - this is a movie that honestly, I was very skeptical about seeing. It’s a found footage movie (which I typically hate), and it got very poor reviews, but I wound up watching it on a whim one day and found myself enjoying it a lot more than I expected. It honestly is more of a adventure/horror film rather than a strict horror film - and the reviews might have been better, I think, if its marketing hadn’t painted it as a strict horror film. There are a few jump scares in there, but not a whole lot. Much the movie relies on claustrophobia, confusion, and mystery. It’s really an interesting look at a journey into hell. I greatly enjoy it, though your mileage may vary.

5. Event Horizon (1997) - another sci-fi/horror film. A nightmarish movie about salvage/rescue crew that goes out to salvage a ship that vanished on its maiden voyage and reappeared 7 years later missing its entire crew. This movie deals well in suspense, fear, and our ultimate terror of what evils could lie beyond the unknown.

6. The Descent (2005) - yet another movie I recommend to everyone. Set underground in an unknown cave system, and led by an all female cast, this movie is just full of anxiety, paranoia, claustrophobia, and unease. It’ll certainly make you never want to go caving.

7. The Strangers (2008) - a great take on the classic home invasion/slasher film. It boasts a really creepy atmosphere, an isolated setting, and has moments of genuine, realistic anxiety and terror (even the small things, like trying to find somewhere to hide and realizing you can’t fit, etc…) I saw this movie with my best friend back when it first came out, and it’s still one of my favorites.

8. The Others (2001) - this is not your typical ghost story. Honestly this one is hard to describe because I don’t want to give too much away about the plot. In the last few days of World War II, a woman and her two children wait in isolation, after the mysterious disappearance of their servants, for her husband/their father to return from the war. It’s only in the isolation of the house that they begin to realize the house might not be as empty as they thought it was. Very, very unique take on a ghost story. The case is wonderful, and the pacing and setting of this movie creates wonderfully creepy, unsettling fear.

9. The Witch (2016) - slow-burn horror and very setting specific, this one’s focus is on religious fear and the sexual stigmatization of girls and women. It’s slow-paced, but really great at building up a sense of unease and dread, and even the small things in it, like small rabbits in the wild, can make you feel unsettled.

10. Black Swan (2010) - not strictly a horror movie, this one is heavily psychological, and I almost want to cast it as a thriller more than anything, but some of it truly does fall into the realm of psychological horror. Paranoia, obsession, and tension, this movie is chock-full of it.

11. Funny Games (2007) - this one is actually a remake of a 1997 movie of the same name. I feel kind of bad, but I actually haven’t seen the original, but from what I hear, the two movies don’t differ much. This one is particularly unsettling because of its constant underlying feeling of authenticity. Much like The Strangers, this feels real, like it could happen to anyone, like its psychopaths could be anybody, any well-to-do strangers. It’s a long, sometimes unbearably frustrating game of physical and psychological torture; and the few moments of well-timed 4th wall breaking really up the frustration and distress.

12. 1408 (2007) - based on a Stephen King story, this film heavily relies on psychological and anxiety-building elements to create its tension. Every thing that happens in this room makes you question what it will do next, what trick will it pull, what hopes will it dash. There’s not much else to say about this one exept that… “It’s an evil fucking room.”

13. El Orfanato/The Orphanage (2007) - man this one is definitely a favorite of mine. Very unnerving and deeply emotional at the same time, this one is a very well-crafted and clever take on the haunted house/orphanage trope. It’s spooky, chilling, has some moments that will genuinely crawl under your skin (the 1-2-3 toca la pared scene always does it for me…), and features a wildly emotional ending.

14. The Babadook (2014) - this one doesn’t rely on cheap scares at all, but still features some truly creepy and unnerving moments that left me on edge. But in addition to that, this movie is about so much more than a boogeyman lurking in the shadows. Heavily psychological, this movie delves deeply into how we process loss and deal with all-consuming grief.

15. 28 Days Later (2002) - I probably don’t need to say much about this one. It’s a movie that most people have either seen or have at least heard of. But there’s a reason it’s consistently named one of the best zombie movies around. It deals with not only the horror of the zombies (and they certainly make that aspect scary on its own), but also the darkest aspects of the fall of society. We’re given a frighteningly grim look at the degradation of humanity and the darkest aspects of human nature as society falls apart.

15 seems like enough! And hopefully you’ll like some of those!! :D

(also, for those reading this, please watch Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016) cause it’s amazing)

Idea: When the UT/US/UF bros are freed from the barrier, it is close to Halloween and stores are stocked with many a naked plastic skeleton (as well as other skeleton- and Halloween-themed items). Reactions?

UT! Sans:

He thinks this is hilarious.  Who knew humans were so into skeletons?  However, when some kids are staring at him while he’s staring at what’s essentially a naked plastic skeleton, well.. he realizes that he’s coming across as creepy.  Super creepy.  He spots a few decorations of monsters, but they’re not really any monsters he’s familiar with.  Oh wait.  Is that werewolf costume supposed to be of the Ice Wolf from Snowdin?  That’s strange.  Are humans mocking them or attempting to make them feel like they fit in?

Sans does some research into the holiday, and oh, that makes more sense.

A few years later, you better believe he tries to convince his crush or S/O to buy a “sexy skele” costume.  For the lulz, he assures them.

UT!Papyrus:

GASP!  HUMANS MUST HAVE REALLY DESCENDED FROM SKELETONS!  IS THIS A HOLIDAY HONORING THEIR ANCESTORS?

Papyrus is excited, but these decorations.. they’re INDECENT!  He fidgets as he stands in front of them, and when a human child walks by, he covers their eyes with his glove.  He ends up making a scene.  Things spiral out of control.  He’s asked to leave after covering up the naked skeletons with costumes.

Before he leaves, though, he ends up buying all the skeleton decorations he can carry.  His house is now DECKED-OUT in skeleton stuff.  Sans allows it because he thinks it’s hilarious.

US!Sans:

Sans feels.. uncomfortable looking at the skeleton decorations.  It’s his brother that tells him what Halloween is, and it intrigues him, but seeing people hanging plastic naked skeletons on their doors..

IS THAT GOING TO HAPPEN TO HIM?!
No one said anything about humans being this crazy!

Sans goes trick-or-treating with Stretch because he’s all about some free candy, and he gets complimented not for his battle body, but for his skeleton costume.  This annoys him, and he puffs out his cheeks in a pout, but eventually all the compliments start going to his head and he embraces his ‘skeleton costume.’  He ends up eating way too much candy and becomes difficult to control.  Stretch loses him for an hour in a crowd of monster-costumed children.  When he finally finds him, Sans grabs onto him and starts crying.  Some of the costumes were just too scary.

Alternate ending to that:  Stretch finds Blueberry in a crowd of humans that are dressed as skeletons, and Sans somehow accidentally now has a cult.

US!Papyrus:

Stretch is walking down an aisle in a store one day, when he suddenly glimpses a rack of hanging plastic skeletons–and yep, they’re naked.  He stares for a minute, before he calmly finds someone that works there and asks what the decorations are for.  She goes on to explain the concept of Halloween, and seems super-embarrassed when she looks between the naked skeleton and him, which only makes his grin widen.  He buys a few skeleton-themed items (like a towel with a skeleton riding a damn penny-farthing that reads ‘I wheelie like you.’) for laughs, and ends up taking his brother trick-or-treating.  He points out all of the skeleton decorations to try to unnerve Sans and has a few laughs.  Oh, this is great stuff.

Humans dressed as sexy skeletons?  Yeah, he’s into it.  Sexy anything costumes, really.  He ends up getting his skull painted like a Day of the Dead sugar skull by some women in sexy nun costumes, and that’s when he loses Blueberry.  It was a mistake to ever give his brother sugar, and when he finds him, he confiscates the rest of the candy.

UF!Sans:

“holy crap, did i die or somethin’?  this can’t be the surface.”

Red’s into it.  He’s pervin’ on all the decorations, and he’s disappointed that all of the ‘sexy skele’ costumes have skirts.  What’s the point if the pelvis is covered up?  ARGH!  He knew that humans had skeletons inside them, so that part doesn’t freak him out, but hey, if they happen to be into naked skeletons, well.. Sans is happy to oblige.  He’ll let them stare all day if they want.

He gets really drunk one night and wakes up with one of those plastic skeletons in his bed.  What happened to it during the night is questionable and probably third on his Things-I-Wish-Never-Happened list.

..Especially since Papyrus barges into his room before Sans can dispose of the evidence.

UF!Papyrus:

Edgy is confused.  Is this the humans’ way of RECOGNIZING HIS GLORY AND IMMORTALIZING HIS GREATNESS?  If so, they GOT IT ALL WRONG!  He’s so much taller than that!  And.. wait, why would they want to display him naked?!  Could it be that all humans are completely enamored by his sex appeal?  I mean, it radiates off him in waves, so OF COURSE THEY ARE!  BUT IT’S SO MUCH PRESSURE!  HOW CAN ONE SKELETON COPE WITH SO MUCH AFFECTION?!

.. Wait, you mean that’s not it?  "BUT WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?“  Humans have skeletons inside them?

Oh..

Papyrus is now HORRIFIED.  How did he not know this?!  He was the Captain of the Guard!  It was his responsibility to know his enemy, and he missed a detail as important as this?!  He becomes fascinated, and he starts studying the way humans move, looking for their bones beneath their skin.  He really wants to touch a human’s arm, but his stare is so intense that it scares all of them off.

He’s even more bothered by the costumes.  Humans trying to look like monsters?  Disgusting.  He sits this year out and scoffs, but.. there’s a HUGE PART OF HIM that wants to make a costume.  Next year, he sets out to make his costume as terrifying as possible and decks the exterior of his house out like a haunted murder mansion.  The few souls that are brave enough to ring his doorbell don’t get treats.  No, he chases them through his yard and down the street, “NYEH HEH HEH"ing with glee.

Theory time! - Levi's cravat

To preface - I just got all of the Attack on Titan volumes up to the current one and DAMN it’s nice to not have to be online to read them. :)

ANYWAY!

During my rereading of the official translation, I noticed something interesting that I think indicates something important about Levi’s character that I don’t think I’ve read yet from anyone else.  Remember this in Chapter 51?

In case you don’t remember, it’s when Levi finds out from Hange that Titans were previously human.  Cue guilt and Erwin creepy smile (man, him and Armin have the creepy smile game on LOCK, BTW).

However, in every chapter since, Levi’s been missing something that we all associate with his character, his visual cue, if you will -

His cravat.  Yeah, I understand that at this point in the story, they’re on the run and haven’t worn their uniforms and such, but I feel like this little detail is actually pretty important. As momtaku has mentioned in previous posts and her readthroughs (which are great, btw), Levi is fairly horrified that what he’s been doing up until now (to paint in broad strokes) is killing humans, and is starting to lose it.  From what we’ve learned in later chapters with the appearance of Kenny and learning more about his past with the underground, this is what I’m thinking -

Levi and Kenny clearly don’t get along, and they lived together for a while.  Kenny raised him, to an extent, and Levi’s accustomed to squalor.

Once Levi joined up with the Survey Corps, he found a way out.  Keeping in consideration some of the information we’ve gleaned from character interviews and tidbits (like why he holds his teacups in his particular way), I think Levi’s preference for his cravat is another way for him to give an appearance of being more well off than what he actually is/was AND a way to signify a new beginning for him, where he isn’t learning how to stalk and kill people - in essence, “using his powers for good”.

Once he realizes Titans were/are humans, I think he realized at that point he’s no better than Kenny, and everything he’s done to change things for himself have been for nothing - to paraphrase Kill Bill, he’s not a worker bee, he’s “a renegade killer bee”, and everything he’s done to “disguise” himself is pointless, because nothing in the world can change his Ackerman heritage.  As he tells the 104th -

He’s pretty uniquely qualified to deal with Titans and killers.  Like Erwin and Armin, because of what he knows now, he (and Mikasa, once he tells her about their shared heritage) knows what he has to do now and has “discarded” that part of himself to fight monsters.  Hell -

In summation, I think at this point, Levi is probably being the most honest with himself that he’s been in a long while.  Whether or not he puts it back on once everyone starts donning their uniforms again remains to be seen, and if he does, that raises interesting questions, as well.  Either way, I love Levi, and I get why people don’t understand certain aspects of his character, or broadly characterize him in broad strokes for fanfic purposes and such (I ONLY LOVE CRAVATS AND CLEANING kind of stuff), but I think that’s probably because I’m also “abnormal…probably because I’ve seen far too many abnormal things”.  I feel like that makes it easier for me to understand his headspace and some of his decisions (like his behavior towards Historia or using odd, long winded non sequiturs to explain himself).

You look away from the bright laptop screen, the loud clamor of the dining hall hitting you full force now that you’ve left the world created by T’Challa’s story. He’s looking at you, waiting with bated breath for your response. “I think that you’re gonna get an ‘A’ for this story and if you don’t, I’ll talk to Hill for you.”

His expression lights up, eyes flickering between you and his laptop. “Really?”

You cover T’Challa’s hand with yours, offering him a smile. It’s easy to understand his need for a little extra reassurance. As you’ve come to learn, thanks to your Creative Writing class, having someone else look over your work and comment on it is nerve-wracking. What can take hours for you to write only takes a few minutes to be torn down by whoever’s reading it.

“Really,” you confirm, giving his hand a small squeeze. “And I’m not just saying that because you paid for this meal.”

(OLD) Master Post List

(Unconventional category system, aaaaand terrible descriptions provided by yours truly)

Aliens/Spaceships

  • XO by MirithGriffin. John is brought onto an alien spaceship to be Sherlock’s mate. The aliens are jelly. Of their love, and literally, they are made out of jelly. You think this is crack and then it actually makes you feel things you haven’t felt in years, so go now my children, reeadd.
  • They Mostly Come Out at Night by tawabids. Aliens crossover. I can’t emphasize how good this fic is and how you do not need to love Alien/Aliens to get it (though of course I am an alien fangirl soooo maybe I lie). Sherlock is the little girl in Aliens except you know not a little girl, and John is Sigourney Weaver kind of.
  • ROT-13 by berlynn_wohl. Spaceman! John intrigues not-a-spaceman Sherlock, look it’s cute, just read

Android!lock

  • Software Malfunction by tiger_in_the_flight_deck. But can a robot sherlock learn to love? yes. yes he can. If you read this, please go directly to the Fluff category immediately following the experience.
  • Made in Man’s Image series by thequeergiraffe. Sherlock being a strange android at an all robotic hospital. This also answers the above question, and yes, there are robot sex antics.

Ace!lock

  • All The Best and Brightest Creatures by wordstrings, Do I even need to tell people to read this, like it’s wordstrings, what else do you need to know? Love at first sight plus asexuality plus an extra sadistic moriarty PUSH ALL MY BUTTONS why don’t you.

Animal!lock

  • The Regent’s Park Regulars by Basingstoke. Sherlock is a swan except his name isn’t Sherlock and John is a duck and Lestrade is a zoo keeper, and you should already be sold by now.
  • Wild Kingdom & Mating Snarl by AxeMeAboutAxinomancy. I need to stop re-reading these, BUT SO GOOD? Not technically animals but there is a lot of lion sex consideration.
  • The Swan Triad by Pennin_Ink. This series starts off all like cute John and Sherlock meet cute, hating each other as kids, true love, happy end- and then suddenly shit gets serious and magical.

Bees in Sussex

  • A Beginner’s Guide to Apiology by VictoryCandescence. John and Sherlock meet for the first time as old men pals and like my entire heart hurts in a good way.
  • The Sea in a Chasm by wiggleofjudas. John goes through his teenage rebellion years and Sherlock’s like fiiine I have a house and some bees when you calm down.
  • The Declaration by flawedamythyst, Sherlock being a goof and John being a cranky old man, all my fave things <3

Book Crossovers

  • Bel Canto by bendingsignpost. Phantom of the Opera!!!
  • Un Homme Dangereux by IShouldBeOverThis. Les Liaisons Dangereuses! (which Cruel Intentions is based on) wherein Sherlock writes letters to Mycroft like watch me bag this dude oh shit wait I’m in love. This crossover actually makes a lot of sense to me because holmescest slides in nicely but johnlock rules out
  • Unsettled by AxeMeAboutAxinomancy. His Dark Materials (The Golden Compass)! A+++ for use of daemons as a plot device

Dark

  • Collared by VelvetMace. Slavery and sex, but mostly dub con not so much full non con? (that isn’t comforting ashleigh)
  • Playing the game by KeelieThompson1. Fave fave fave, dark vampire stuff, but in a very blase, no one is overly upset, kind of way - everyone’s like put his dick in a cage who even cares any more. (I’m going to give this the award for worst description).
  • Cross Wired by Pretty Arbitrary. I know this category is labeled dark, but this shit is extra dark like satan’s ass crack dark. John finds a journal of Sherlock’s that is, let’s say, not kittens and rainbows.
  • Dehumanize Me by deuxexmycroft. Sherlock makes John his prison bitch, aand yeaah.

Fluff

  • Duvet (Green) by mazarin. Mind palace things! I love mind palace things.

Misc AUs

  • This Thing All Things Devours by cypress_tree. 80’s sci fi movie fic (you can already tell why I like it) humans are genetically engineered to stop aging at 25, when the numbers on their arm start counting down, and the only way to get more time is to earn/borrow/steal. John, obvi, is a gambler and Sherlock is basically immortal. Time to solve some TIME THIEVING.

Period Piece -ish

  • echoes through time by chellefic. John reads fanfiction Watson’s journal about him and Holmes being lovey dovey and gets ideas!
  • The Man No One Liked by shouldbeover. Where Sherlock is John’s valet for a visit to a Downton Abbey style place and - quelle surprise - there is a murder to solve!!!!
  • Captive Hearts by Nana_41175. I say period piece, but this isn’t really set in real earth medieval times. Sherlock is a mask wearing, hawking prince (this should be enough to sell you on it) who semi-captures highlander!John. Etc. etc. etc. things get hot.

Tarts and Vicars aka Priest!lock (I’m so glad this is a category)

  • The Beast of Baskerville by Mildredandbobbin. Priest!Sherlock (I KNOW, normally it is priest John) and John meet up on their way to a village where there are mysterious wolf-related deaths and mayhaps Sherlock is rethinking that whole celibacy business.
  • Ad Meliora by lotherington. Priest!John getting all seduced

Vampire

  • Stranger at the Gate by bendingsignpost. This is like if Sherlock was a vampire but a super cute baby vampire who hasn’t gotten his vamp sea legs just yet. Like he’s manipulative as shit and lies like crazy but this is the cutest he’s ever been to me. no plot explanation provided just read it
  • Playing the game by KeelieThompson1. This is dark and vamp related so it comes up twice. Did I mention it was dark? Vamplock turns John into a vamp and then Johnvamp complains about it for a few centuries.
  • Night Shift by corpsereviver2. John is vamplock’s body guard :D
  • Preservation by Mildredandbobbin. PINING AHOY and let’s of sex while pining for each other, which I didn’t even think was possible, so kudos.

Virginlock

  • The Orchard by DancingGrimm. My fave Sherlock loses his v card story ever. I have a soft spot for Prostitute! John.
  • Safe Distance by merripestin. Really enthusiastic virgin!Sherlock with added bonus of sexuality crisis John!

hey sam! it's been a long time since i requested a headcanon from you omg i miss ;; (but i still stalked your blog tho hehehe i'm shy) can i request a jikook headcanon about jimin who adores jungkook who is a radio broadcaster and he sort of fell in love with his voice but jimin does not know how jungkook looks like until he recognized his voice somewhere? (tbh the plot looks like a manga that i like but i forgot the title) thank you so much sam ily❤ ps: i'm week for jk as hyung and smol jimin

hi sweetheart!! don’t be shy! I’m kind of an awkward potato at first…..and later also…. but you end up appreciating me :D  so feel free to stop by and say hi whenever you feel like it, ok?

I’m sorry i haven’t been posting too much lately :( it’s been a while since I wrote some hdc, tho so im a bit rusty, i ask for your forgiveness… I have a lot of messages on my inbox so I will respond to them eventually…. I will try to do it this weekend since today i’m a bit busy but I will write this one for you as a thanks for being so sweet to me and as a promise to reply to the others ^^

have a great day pup <3

//Jimin found about jungkook’s radio program one night after a really long day at work. he usually put on his earbuds and blasted loudly his favorite artists but that night his ipod had run out of battery and he didn’t have any music stored on his phone so his only option was to tune in the radio. and oh boy does he not regret it at all.

//jungkook has  melodic voice, sweet and that exudes warmth but at the same time is deep and boyish, really charismatic. no wonder he works at a radio station.

//the program varies from listening to jungkook’s song recommendations to reading letters from fans asking for advice. the host can go from a total dork that tells the most ridiculous jokes to a sweet caring boy trying to help a lost soul.

//jimin finds himself listening to his show every single night from then on. he has the show tuned in while his night shift at the convenience store, which always helps him overcome the night with a better attitude.

//taehyung laughs at him, says he’s obsessed. Jimin likes to say he just knows how to appreciate the good things in life.

//Jungkook opens about himself sometimes, and jimin learns he’s a young man -but slightly older than him- that has struggled his own in life as many others and uses his experiences to give advice to his listeners. Jimin loves to hear those stories, feels like jungkook is opening up to him only and not to hundreds of anonymous people that listen to him as well.

//he’s tempted to call, talk directly with jungkook those nights the phones are opened to the spectators, but he knows he’s shy and would stumble with his words a lot. also, what is he supposed to say to jungkook? “oh hey i’m jimin, big fan of yours. i love your voice and i love you too, marry me?” nah, too creepy….

//so he simply sends letters to jungkook for the other to read. he usually shares his own struggles, tells jungkook how difficult is being for him to manage the student life, living on his own and have his family so far away. jungkook is always sweet, reassuring, tells JM to keep fighting for his dreams like he did some years prior, shares his own story so he can give jimin the will to keep going. jungkook tells JM they have a lot in common taking in consideration his letters, and jimin likes to think jungkook’s voice softens a bit while talking to him after reading his letters, and his heart stutters happily every time jungkook dedicates him a new song he’s found recently.

//it’s a sunday that finds jimin working a morning shift. he hates it, because not only he had to woke up really early, but he doesn’t have jungkook’s sweet voice helping go through the boredom.

//the good thing about it is that he can afford sit in a corner and read a book, or try to catch up with some work he had been delaying, since just some grannies come for some shopping.

//he’s immersed in one of the books he’s supposed to read for a report when someone enters the store. a young boy, dark hair and darker eyes. he’s pretty attractive, but the side glance and small smile he throws jimin when they lock gazes tells him he’s a bit shy. the boy strides to the farther aisles in silence, jimin focuses back on his books.

//”Hello,” says the boy and the single word has jimin’s head snapping towards him, it sounds slightly familiar. the boy raises an eyebrow but doesn’t say anything else.
“hello.” he answers, and starts charging everything without saying anything else.
“Thanks, have a good day.” he says once the other has paid and is about to leave. the boy smiles charmingly, sweet, and says:
“you too, thank you.” jimin stares a him because his voice sounds so so so familiar.
“is something wrong?” asks the boy with confusion written all over his face and then everything clicks.
“oh my fucking god, it’s you!” screams jimin, blushing immediately because holy shit it’s jungkook and holy shit he just screamed at jungkook
“uhm…. do we know each other?”
“no…I mean i do, i know you and this just sounds so creepy but omg im a fan- im so sorry.”
“oh….” jungkook’s face changes then, goes to confusion to realization and smiles once again at jimin. “you listen to my radio program?”
“Yeah…. i- i love you - your show”
“Wow, im glad. it’s always nice to know people like listen to me… thank you so much.”

//Jungkook starts coming to the store more often and jimin tries to play it cool every time, specially when jungkook is being friendly with him and starts a conversation. but they quickly fall into a more comfortable relationship, specially after Jimin confesses he’s JM and jungkook seems happy to know about it.

//jungkook is funny and nice outside of work also, manages to make jimin laugh without really trying. sometimes jungkook is the only one talking as jimin just smiles and nods, staring. because jimin likes jungkook’s soft voice, but likes even more his crooked smile and bunny teeth and the way he feels every time jungkook looks at him. and boy, he’s so in deep.

//they exchange phone numbers and start talking frequently. Sometimes jungkook texts him in the middle of a broadcast. it makes jimin feel special.

//”this song is dedicated to a friend of mine. we’ve become closer recently and im glad to have found such a nice person that fits so well in my life. so, ehm… jimin, i know you are listening- this song is for you”
Jimin tries not to scream in the middle of the store, but now that he thinks about it he’s alone so he squeals out loud out of happiness.

//”It was a beautiful song” says jimin over the phone, after deciding to call jungkook in a boost of braveness.
“Really? I’m glad. i found the artist recently and he really has beautiful songs. I thought you would like this one.”
“I loved it…”
“You know what it’s about?” asks jungkook, his voice soft and warm. for a second jimin forgets they are talking live on radio and there are hundreds of people listening to their conversation. “It’s a bout a new found love.”
“oh…”
“jimin, would it be too brave of me to ask you out on a date?”
“Are you serious?”
“totally…. I like you a lot JM”
“I would love to…”

//after that night jungkook receives a lot of letters asking for advice in love matters, because his way of confessing to jimin was cute and romantic and had all his fans squealing with feels. (jimin dowloaded the podcast to save it on his computer)

//jimin discovers dating a radio host is a bit embarrassing, specially when said host dedicates romantic songs to him or says out loud how much he loves him, but jimin wouldn’t have it any other way. (he loves calling to the program and talk to the other, sometimes embarrassing jungkook on live radio)

wayward daughters would be amazing and I want to write it

OK no but shh, listen to my wisdom:

  • Donna is unfailingly kind and cheerful and supportive of the girls, and it drives Claire nuts, because this isn’t a game, this isn’t fun, her whole family is dead and you can’t just be all happy-smiley-sunshine after that, it’s not possible, right? And one day she just loses it, because what the fuck does Donna know about loss or pain, and what gives her the right to tell Claire or anyone else that it’s going to be okay? And Donna doesn’t falter; just says, very calmly, with a smile that’s only a tiny bit smaller than usual, that she might not know what it’s like to lose the people she loves to monsters, but that doesn’t mean she’s never lost them to anything else; that it takes a different kind of courage to watch your mother die of cancer and still be able to go to work afterwards. And she knows, she knows what people think of her: that because she smiles so much, she must not really understand how bad the world can be, but she’s still a sheriff, she’s still seen terrible things, and she’ll understand if Claire never sees eye to eye with her, but exactly because the world can be so bad at times, Donna thinks it’s all the more important to wring every bit of good from it that you can, even if you still sleep with a gun in reach or an angel sword under your bed. And maybe Claire cries in her lap, and maybe she just nods, but the next time Donna asks the girls if they want to bake with her and Alex rolls her eyes, Claire steps right up and grabs a spoon, and Krissy shrugs and says, “What the hell,” and joins in, and then Alex mutters something about how there’s nothing good on TV anyway, and they make stupid animal-shaped cookies and have a flour fight in the kitchen.
  • Jody and Donna having separate rooms, because most nights they want a bit of peace and time to themselves, but neither of them is really used to sleeping alone, so at first, they don’t sleep all that well. But one night, they both get woken up late by giggling coming from Claire’s room, and when they go in, all three girls are cuddled up in the one bed watching cartoons on an iPad with ghost!Kevin perched nearby, and when the adults look surprised they just raise their eyebrows and look at them like, “What?”. And when Jody looks at Alex in particular, Alex says, “Hey, you told me to find a healthy coping mechanism,” and it’s pretty hard to argue with that, so Jody just tells them to have lights out in an hour and goes back to bed, and when Donna says in the hall that she thinks the girls have the right idea, she says, “If only it was that easy.” But two nights later, after a really bad day and an hour of tossing and turning, she gets up and goes down the hall to Donna’s room and climbs into bed with her, and Donna just beams in her flannel jammies, and Jody just mutters, “Not a word,” and gets in beside her. (And this would make an awesome framing device for a specific episode that begins with everyone sleepless in their own rooms, camera sweeping through the house to Krissy’s narration about loneliness and secrets before we smash-cut to her in the midst of a crime scene, talking to the young girl who’s been witness to a supernatural death; the monster of the week preys on lonely people; the last scene is an identical sweep through the now-shared rooms, and the VO is Krissy again, but this time she’s writing a journal.)
  • An underlying theme of sexual autonomy and discovery where Krissy is the one that everyone else goes to for solid romantic advice, because Alex was used as sexualised bait for creepy dudes and Claire was nearly raped on the okay of someone she trusted and Donna still has anxieties about her romantic worth because of Doug and Jody once went on an actual date with the King of Hell, never mind the deaths of her husband and Bobby Singer, but Krissy’s breakup with Aiden was healthy and she’s confident and sensible and goes on dates and knows exactly what she wants, and has exactly zero tolerance for dudes who look like they’ll fuck with her ladies. Donna asking Krissy to vet her dates, and Krissy doing it the first couple of times, but then gently telling Donna that she’s awesome enough to trust her own judgement, and Donna believing her. (Which would also make an awesome lead-in for an episode about an abused incubus, where they have an argument about consent and saving monsters and humanity and sex and the creepy villain tries to win onto Krissy and it 9000% does not work.)
  • Kate and Josephine as girlfriends who work as supernatural scouts, travelling up and down the country looking for lost souls and problem cases: their cover is Josephine travelling to athletic meets (and don’t you love the idea of a human athlete having a werewolf trainer?) and they periodically either check in with the others at the Academy (as they fondly call Jody’s house) or call them out to see what’s going down elsewhere. Plus and also, it turns out that there’s more supernatural creatures than you’d expect hiding out in the athletic and sporting world, given the whole super-speed-and-strength thing a lot of them have, and it kind of pays to keep a finger on that particular pulse.
  • Bring me all the demonised female monsters of world mythology - the nagas and harpies, sirens and succubi, gorgons and furies and medusas - and give me a show where their monstrousness is made distinct from their femininity; where a group of female Hunters is in a position to question the frequently sexist lore that’s been used to demonise them, drawing new distinctions between monsters that are always threats, and monsters that just happen to be female, and monsters that are both.
  • All the girls have dayjobs that help them access different facets of supernatural crime and to help those affected by it, so that, in addition to Josephine the athlete, we have Krissy as a trainee sheriff, Claire working with kids in the foster system and Alex - well. Alex is a bit harder to pin down, because she’s sly and smart and she has no patience for bullshit; she tries her hand at a lot of different jobs, but she always ends up moving on, because she keeps ferreting out secrets and pissing people off, and then one day she ends up figuring out that the bartender at her equally new job is an undercover fed working what they think is a drugs case, but which Alex already knows has a link to something supernatural (literal magic mushrooms, YES), and, well, long story short, it turns out there’s a government agency with an eye on the Hunter world and once Alex pulls their rookie’s ass out of the fire, she gets tapped to train with them, so that she steadily becomes a link between Jody’s girls and the bigger world of supernatural law enforcement.
  • A story built around a strong ensemble cast, but which isn’t pinned to a single location, even though there’s a single place they all come back to, so that everyone gets to develop in different ways and directions; each episode picks a different focal character, and the story goes where they take us, but there’s always the overarching theme of the Academy and their togetherness, even when they’re apart.
  • Linda Tran as a total BAMF who periodically shows up with a case or an artefact to hide. Linda Tran challenging Jody to a drinking contest, and the two of them sharing an amused glance when Donna asks to join in. Donna and Linda subsequently drinking Jody under the table, the two of them carrying her up to bed and tucking her in before going to sit outside and bonding over a shared love of gardening.
  • Hannah restarting the process in Heaven for the creation of prophets that Metatron turned off. The first new prophet is a teenage girl who ends up at the Academy. She’s our introductory character, and once the others realise what she is - or rather, once ghost!Kevin does - they summon Hannah to explain her purpose.
  • Dorothy comes back from Oz and resurrects Charlie with Gilda’s help. FIGHT ME.
Thank You

“Heeeey Y/n,” smiled Stiles as he shimmied beside you onto the seat at the lunch table.

“Hi Stiles,” you smiled, vaguely uncomfortable. You didn’t know him very well, but you certainly knew of him. Finstock was never one to keep quiet, despite telling everyone else to “shut it”. Anyone who has had a class with Finstock has heard the story of the “kid who wrote an essay on the history of male circumcision” instead of the actual economics exam.

“So what are you?” Blatancy. Charming. Also, what?

“Stiles, you can’t just ask people what they are,” his partner-in-crime murmured, aghast. “I’m Scott.” Hand extended, you stared it, only because you didn’t know what else to do with his hand extended towards you. You weren’t big on physical contact with strangers.

“Scott says you smell different,” Stiles continues, seemingly unaware of his words.

“I… smell?” You ask, pulling at a strand of hair and pulling it to your face to inhale. Smells normal. This couldn’t be about… could it?

“Excuse him,” says the popular girl with the complicated reputation. You know she throws great parties, but she also apparently runs through the forest naked, and has spent some time in the local “mental health centre”.
You couldn’t help but wonder what these people were doing sitting with you? But you were beginning to get an idea.
Best to play it cool. No need to out yourself as supernatural if that’s not what they’re here for.

“You’re new here, we get it,” smiles Danny the friend you made in computer science earlier. “But this is Beacon Hills.”

A large crowd of people end up surrounding you at your lunch table. The blonde that was sick and now kicks ass, the strong silent guy that goes everywhere with her, a guy with a flashy smile and scarf, a few kids in the grade below you, your history teacher’s daughter, the girl you heard growling in math class, the other lacrosse team co-captain, and the girl in your English class who leant you a pencil earlier and said “I’m just paying it forward,” when you thanked her.
They all seemed friendly enough, but this… this was weird, right? Making friends at a new school is never this easy, right?

Something was definitely off.

I swear I am going to end up in Radley after this show is finished

I’m not sure if I’m slightly upset we didn’t get to see the dialogue between Aria and Nicole, only because its been so dragged out with Ezra being gone for the most of 7B. Why has Ezra been missing this whole time? I mean it’s so confusing since Nicole is NOT in NY but close enough for Aria to have driven to the clinic, yet he doesn’t even come home to change his clothes and have some rest? Shady Ezra, shady.

So do all members of the A team have keys to all the liars’ houses just like Mona? The idea of people creeping in and out of a house is so frustrating. You’ve been doing this for how many years? Since you were 16? Why are there no cameras anywhere near your damn houses? SERIOUSLY?!

Aria is being shady. Honestly no wonder Ezria is a couple, they are both shady. I think I have been completely desensitized to their “shock faces”, all I keep thinking is “I know you’re part of this”.

Okay so this episode was awesome and the fact that some answers are smacking me straight in the face is amazing. However I have a couple questions because I am genuinely confused after watching it. So now, I am re watching this. Because it’s not like I have 2 essays due *cough cough* - moving on.

Here we go:

A thing that needs to stop in the RWBY FNDM

So recently the word “abuse” has been thrown around the rwby fndm. Most recently this post has used it. Now, as someone who has been mentally and emotionally abused by someone, it’s pissing me off that this word is being used so wrongly and people are nodding their heads in agreement to it. The only ship that is abusive is Adam/Blake and subsequently any ship with Adam in it. Bumbleby and Black Sun are not in any way shape or form abusive. Why? Let me tell you what abuse actually is and why we need to stop throwing this word around just to put down another ship.

1.      So let’s start with the elephant in the room. What that person posted, stating Bumbleby is abusive. Because it’s not. Nothing points to abuse or either of them being an abuser. Some people shout and spout “BUT WHAT ABOUT THE LASER POINTER?!?!? THAT IS RACIST AND ABUSIVE! YANG SHOULDN’T HAVE DONE THAT!” etc, etc. While I can see where the racist one is coming from, how in god’s name is that abuse? Look, admit it. With friends or family, we all have done shit that accidently brought harm to the ones we love. We all have said things that might have pulled on someone’s heart strings the wrong way. We made have been too rough and brought bodily harm, or did something that we unknowingly had a bad reaction to the other. We all have done that at one point or another because we are all human beings and make mistakes.

Does that make us all abusers? No. It’s doesn’t. Yang using a laser pointer is not abusive because if Blake did find that offensive (because we did not see if she felt that way or not) I’m sure she would have straight up told Yang not to do that and Yang would stop. She is not the person to harm others intentionally. Yang is the ‘mom’ of team RWBY and has shown time and time again caring deeply for her sister and friends and putting them first before herself. That, and since v2, we have not seen Yang do the same thing. Saying that is abuse is a weak claim.

“BUT YANG PUSHED BLAKE!” Others add on.

Yes, but only after Blake wasn’t listening. Yang tried talking to Blake to rest, she tried telling her that she did the same thing as a child, letting something consume her thoughts to the point she not only nearly killed herself but her sister killed as well, and Blake still did not give. She had no choice. It was her last option. We also know Yang’s strength. She has shattered a paladin with one fist, she has carried a large speaker over her shoulder no problem, and she has broken a stone wall while her hand was covered in a sheet of thick ice. Yang could easily have done damage to Blake with a single push yet it was more of a ‘tap’. Also, Yang pushed Blake to drive home the point that she, Blake, was in no condition to fight Roman, let alone the White Fang.

Sometimes you need to get a little rough to get someone to listen. Don’t out right yell and give them bodily harm, no. But sometimes when there is nothing else to do, a slap to the head is needed.

2.      Now I am not only going to talk Bumbleby here because from what I heard, people were calling out Sun as an abuser because of the events of 4.3. Sun is not an abuser. At most, he’s an airhead. He might not realize what he has done is creepy but his heart is in the right place. Yes, looking into a window of a bedroom, a private place, is wrong and creepy and following someone around for at least six months in a cloak and not telling them is the same deal. But he is not being abusive. He is making dumb decisions and Blake did call him out on his shit in 4.3. And by looking at Sun’s face, it looked like he realized he messed up and should not have done that. Sun only wants to help Blake and make sure she is okay, just like Yang. Both care deeply for her and only want to make sure she has the best. You want to know abuse? We have two abusers in the show right now. First up is:

3.      Adam Taurus. He is Blake’s abuser. We have seen him act creepy around Blake, pretty much saying, “If I can’t have you, no one can.” He back handed, bitch slapped Blake so hard she fell to the ground, stunned. He also stabbed her in the abdomen and tried to decapitate her. Adam tried to MURDER Blake. We also saw the fear and horror on Blake’s face when she saw Adam again. She was petrified of him. While we do not know all about their past together, we can gather from what Adam did and Blake’s reaction when seeing him again, it was bad. Adam physically assaulted Blake and who knows what else he has done to her. Adam is an abuser. The actions of what Yang and Sun did don’t come nowhere near what Blake suffered through with Adam.

4.      Now you may ask, “Kae! Who is the other abuser?” Weiss’ father, Jacques. We have not seen him be physically abusive to Weiss (or to his other children) but he has been mentally and emotionally abusive. In the first episode of v3, he cuts Weiss’ money off for not answering his call. He pulled the same thing to Winter (she told Weiss that in 3.4). From what we can gather also, he was far from pleased that Weiss went to Beacon, not Atlas. After Ironwood left, Jacques was putting Weiss down, trying to control her and pretty much gave her no choice when he brought up singing for an event. Jacques does what he can do put Weiss down and manipulate her, ignoring how she feels about things. That is mental and emotional abuse.

Weiss has hate for her father. We can see it in her face in 4.2 and her reaction when Winter is talking about him in 3.4. Again, as someone who is in a similar situation, it points to all signs of abuse and reminds me of what I have to go through.

5.      Now one more point I want to bring up as a side note. What Tai did wasn’t abusive either. It was shocking to hear him said that but Yang took it fine. Unfortunately, it was never established before that Yang and Tai have a relationship like that where they can do things like that. While I may not have reacted great to what Tai said for reasons, he wasn’t really being abusive. And as I stated before, we all do and say things that may harm someone we love when we didn’t mean for that. That does not make us an abuser and neither does it make Tai one.

The fact people are throwing this word around like it can be applied to any ship is asinine. Yang, Sun, and even Tai are not abusers. Adam and Jacques are. Just because you hate a ship doesn’t mean you can use that word to slander it.

Yang nearly lost her life trying to protect Blake form her actual abuser and Sun is risking his to make sure she is okay. Neither have shown any signs of wanting to harm Blake or control her. How people see either one as an abuser baffles me. This needs to stop now.

The Foxhole Court, Chapter 7 – The Literal Opposite Of Squad Goals

In which the Foxes don’t exactly win Squad Of The Year, everyone fights with everyone, disturbingly weird sexual tension is more disturbing and weird than sexual, and just when you think ‘oh man, it can’t go downhill from there’, spoiler alert: It does.

Sounds good? Then it’s time for Nicki to read The Foxhole Court.

Puzzles, Promises, and Paws

(Unfinished Sterek fic with Fox!Stiles. I used elements of this in a different fic in the end, so this one became abandoned.)
_____________

Typical. It’s just typical.

When things happen around Stiles, they usually happen in tandem. One thing leads to another thing, that leads to something else, that leads to another really big, annoying thing that Stiles does not want to deal with. Basically, his life is one big Rube Goldberg Machine with twenty different parts all smashing into each other in a very Mouse-Trap-esk way that usually ends with him—the mouse—trapped under a plastic net.

Or, you know, locked up with chains in yet another creepy basement.

Is it weird that he’s glad it’s witches instead of crazy Hunters this time?

“This is really, super pointless, you know.”

The witches look up from their witchy-muttering and scowl without comment. Yes, this is about the tenth time he’s managed to catch their attention by saying just about the same thing. He actually has no clue why they even bother looking up anymore, but it’s funny and maybe delaying his inevitable death.

“You’re not going to get any information from me,” he says, trying a different track.

One of the older witches sighs, dropping her head down like she just can’t.

“I am starting to think we have made a mistake,” she murmurs to the others, sending the younger three into a babble of promises about how they did get it right, the boy is just being difficult. Which, hell yeah he’s being difficult, theirs a bunch of witches being creepy in a basement with him.

The eldest, not looking convinced at all, gestures to Stiles with clear distaste, “He has not accepted the craft into his bosom.”

“Whoooaa… ” Stiles shakes his head. “Whoa—okay, no, you’re right, I have not. For one thing, I don’t have bosoms to accept crafts into. For another, i’m not that into pipe cleaners and glitter glue, so, you know.”

I haven’t gotten all the details figured out, but I did want to put this out there so everyone will have a taste for the story. Also the title might eventually change, but I’ll notify everyone if it does. It’s mentioned in the shot, but I’ll let you know here that Yugyeom is a nephilim (half angel, half human hybrid) and Bambam is a demon.
