A/N: Alright homies, I apologize it has taken me so long to upload something. I’ve been reaally stressed. So hopefully this is okay? For the anon that requested this, I hope you like it. I’d love some feedback, as always. Enjoy reading!

Dark, gray clouds blocked any source of light from shining through the big, thick glass windows surrounding every inch of the building.

The entire tower was filled with a solemn mood that spread into every corner and room.

Most of the team dreaded days like these, since it put a damper on their mood, (especially Steve).

You, however, cherished days like these the most.

It’s where you find your peace and inner self, no matter how depressing that may sound.

It helps you relax and release any stresses that corrupt your thoughts.

But the best reason of all is that you don’t have to leave the house, even if you had a date with Peter tonight.

However, thinking that idea through, you realized something.

The whole team would be here.

With Peter and you.

During your date.

Well, fuck.

Please, if you meet someone who makes you excited to wake up again, don’t waste your chance. Tell them how you feel before they slip between your fingers. Because never knowing what you could have been, it breaks your heart just as much as being rejected. Take the risk. Do it for me. Do it for yourself. Do it because you can’t let love pass you by. Not again. Not this time.
—  These words hurt but I need to say them. For you. For me. For everyone too scared to try.

I Don’t Mean It Pt 6

Previous Parts: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5

All the stress had taken a toll on your health and sadly, your body could no longer take it. Your colleagues had found you passed out in the hallway at work and that was when you finally decided to take a few days off. After deciding to leave Taehyung’s life, you were overwhelmed with how much you would be losing.

You wanted to slowly ease out of his life. And you knew that once you gave him up, you had to give the rest of them up too. They had grown to be like your second family, and it broke your heart everytime you thought that they probably didn’t feel the same way about you.

But when you saw Taehyung’s texts, anger somewhat bubbled up in you. He’s the one who didn’t want anything to do with you, so why did he care if you were suddenly sick? And who was he to get mad again? You clearly didn’t do anything this time around.

You decided to face him once he came back home. You figured it would bring you the closure you both needed, seeing as he clearly had something left to say to you.

The boys kept assuring you that they would come see you once they were back in town, but you almost dreaded the day they came back, knowing that it might be the last day you got to see them.

“You can do this Y/N” you told yourself over and over as the days passed by. You didn’t know when exactly they were coming back as their schedule was never really set in stone. As each day passed, you felt more confident that you didn’t need them. But one night your doorbell rang, and your heart sank. It was time.

A/N: thanks for waiting for part 6! Who wants part 7? Also, I think for part 7, I’m not going to have any texts, hope thats ok?? PLEASE let me know what you think of that.

Three Types of Misgendering

Type 1: Accidental Habit
You’ve known them for years before transitioning and they’re still getting used to it or slip up occasionally. They always correct themselves and don’t complain about it being inconvenient.

Type 2: Concept of Gender
You don’t “pass” completely and they slip up, but they always correct themselves and don’t complain about it being inconvenient.

Type 3: The Asshole
They whine about how your pronouns are inconvenient for them and continue to misgender you with no attempt to correct themselves. They’re an asshole, stop interacting with them if possible.

the story of the underwear cockles op

y’all wanna hear the story of how @amazinmango and i got this photo op at phxcon this weekend?

PART ONE: BEFORE THE OP

so here’s the thing: n o n e of this was planned. it was amazing, hilarious, ridiculous kismet.

mango’s had his birthday recently, and so i brought his birthday present with me to phxcon. part of the present was a pair of jensen’s underbears (i think the text i sent mango right after jib was, “we’re close enough that it’s not weird if i buy u underwear right????”) bc i thought that was hilarious from jib and mango is a huge jensen fan and dean!boy. so the original joke was just that mango could have the bear underwear. i also got him a second pair in orange, bc orange is his fav colour. this was as far as i thought this would go.

so i get into phoenix thursday night and give mango his present. we didn’t know there were cockles photo ops until friday afternoon when we saw hard tickets for sale. i distinctly remember being bummed that my hometown con had cockles photo ops for sale online but phxcon, the one i was actually going to, did not. but obviously once i saw they were available, like. THERE WAS ONLY ONE CHOICE. so after deciding it was completely financially irresponsible when we have no money, i bought the op.

i can’t remember when it occurred to us that we had both the underbears and a pair of lucky orange underwear for misha in our hotel room. we wanted to do something fun and funny for the op, and cracked ourselves up at the idea. but we were also aware that it could be, you know, kind of sort of maybe intensely uncomfortable to be like (a) i know what underwear u were wearing and (b) here i brought pairs of them for you to further laugh over. i have a T E R R I B L E akdslkjkas embarrassment squick, so we didn’t want to do anything that made us uncomfortable, and we definitely didn’t want to do anything that would make misha or jensen uncomfortable. we wanted them to have fun with us and play around with us.

we ran our idea passed our roomie, who has some good con experience, to see if she thought it would fly or not. we agreed on judging our plan based on their mood on the day and asking them if they felt comfortable enough to do it was the best course of action, with a back-up plan ready to go immediately just in case, so j+m knew we were serious that they could totally pass on it if it was weird. CONSENT AND SAFE SPACE. we were hella concerned about this.

Pairing: Jungkook + Reader

Genre: Fluff + college au

Word Count: 3.6k

Part: | 1 | 2 |

Summary: You hated his guts, especially after he ruined your chance at getting a good grade in one of your toughest classes. But why did your heart beat a little faster every time you saw him? And why did he feel the same way?

Reader’s POV

“I’m afraid I’m going to have to give you a failing grade, Y/N…” Mr.Ransford frowned,“ You should’ve saved your work somewhere separately you know?”

You gaped at him in complete shock, as everything came crashing down on you.

“B-but you don’t understand! It wasn’t my fault-” you stammered, your hands flailing around in a frenzy as you attempted to explain your dire situation to your psychology professor.

“Y/N, I’m sorry I’m afraid we can’t discuss this right now, I have a class in 2 minutes. We’ll talk later, hm?” he said as you sighed, your shoulders slumping in utter defeat.

He patted your shoulders in sympathy as you walked out of the door, tears welling up in your eyes as you thought of all your hard work that was now flushed down the drain. All because of one boy.

That damn Jeon Jungkook.

—-

“YAH!” you yelled, raging, as you approached the boys, a deadly glare in your eyes as you grabbed Jungkook by the collar of his tshirt. Pulling him up from the bleachers where him and the rest of his friends were sitting, all of them gasped, mouths going agape as they witnessed their golden maknae get manhandled by you.

“Y/N~What a pleasure,” Jungkook said, giving you a lazy smirk.

Your blood boiled at the audacity the boy had, to address you in such a way, after he had destroyed your chance at a good grade- heck a good year of college. Without thinking first, you lifted your hand and slapped him across the face, the contact shooting vibrations of pain down your arm as the noise echoed in the air. Immediate silence followed, everyone looking at the two of you with rounded eyes as Jungkook himself, was in shock.

You stood there, your chest rising up and down, breathing heavy as you glowered at him. His hands flew to his cheek as he let out a stream of curse words, his gaze landing on yours, fire kindling in his eyes as he reddened in embarrassment.

Part One Here / Part Two Here / Part Four Here / Part Five Here / Part Six Here

The next day, Peter slugged his backpack over his shoulders, making sure to protect it at all costs for the contents inside. “Hey Pete,” Ned said, joining him.

“Hey Ned. Can you help me with something later?”

“Yeah. What’s up?” They continued down the hallways of school. “Finally gonna ask Y/N to Homecoming?”

“What? No, no, no. I will deal with that later. Listen, after the party last night, I chased a bunch of bad guys and they fired some alien tech at me. A piece broke off from one of the guns and I need your help to see what it is and what it does.” Ned nodded his head.

“You have a piece of alien tech?”

“Yes.”

“Cool!”

“No, not cool. I need to know what this thing does and if it is dangerous or not,” Peter added.

“Its alien technology, Peter. Of course it is going to be dangerous.”

“Will you help me?”

“Hell yeah. How could I pass that up?”

“Okay great. So during robotics class, we can work on it and see if we can pull out its power sou–” Peter stopped talking when his eyes caught sight of Y/N approaching them.

“Pete! What the hell?” Y/N said, throwing her arms up.

“What did I–” Peter asked in confusion.

“Where were you last night? You missed him! After you left, he came,” she exclaimed.

“Who came?”

“Spiderman! He actually came to Liz’s party. Flash was so jealous,” Y/N laughed.

“O-Of me or of Spiderman,” Peter stuttered.

“Well, who do you think, Peter? You of course.” Ned nudged Peter in his arm. “You where really the talk of the party. Its kinda sad you missed it.”

“Y-Yeah well, I wasn’t feeling good so I decided…to go home,” Peter said. He shoved his hands in his pockets and nodded his head. “Listen, Y/N–” but before Peter could finish his sentence, the bell rang.

“Oh, I should get to class,” Y/N said.

“Yeah, yeah. Me too,” Peter shrugged off casually. He slowly walked backwards and then remembered something. “Actually, I go this way,” he went and pasted Y/N and she went in the opposite direction.

Peter glanced back at her retreating figure before continuing down the hallway. Then Y/N turned around and briefly glanced back as Peter and Ned made their way to their first class of the day.

Peter slammed his hammer down repeatedly onto the foreign purple device, hoping to break it apart. He jumped back slightly and the top came off. He gently pulled it off to see the purple glowy thing underneath it.

“Woah, what is that?”

“I don’t know,” Peter grunted, pulling it apart. “Some guy tried to vaporize me with it.”

“Seriously?”

“Yeah.”

“Awesome!” Peter furrowed his eyebrows at Ned in confusion. “I mean…not awesome. Totally uncool that guy. So scary,” Ned tried to cover up.

“Well, look. I think its a power source,” Peter said, struggling to get his screwdriver into the device.

“Yeah but its connected to all these micro-processors. Thats an abductive charging plate. That’s what I use to charge my toothbrush,” Ned pointed out.

“Whoever is making these weapons is obviously combining alien tech with ours,” Peter observed.

“That is literally the coolest sentence anyone has every said. I just wanna thank you for letting me be apart of your journey into this amazing–” the two of them moved away as Peter swung at the device. A small blast coming from the device. They both turned their heads towards the professor who was skimming through a cross word puzzle.

“Keep your fingers clear of the blades,” he ordered. Ned and Peter turned their attention back towards their project, now seeing that the purple glowing device was free of the weapon.

“We gotta figure out what this thing is and who makes it,” Peter said.

“We will go to the lab after class and run some tests.” The two did a small little handshake before packing up their things and leaving the class.

“First, I say we put the glowy thing in a safe place” Ned said, as the two walked in the absent hallway.

“First you gotta come up with a better name than glowy thing,” Peter said.

“You’re right.” Two people rounded the corner and Peter took cover.

“Crap!” He jumped out of the open, hiding behind a wall. “Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on.” Ned looked both ways before awkwardly joining him. The two of them poked their heads around the corner, watching the two bad guys roam their school. “Those are the guys who tried to kill me.”

“What?!?”

“Yeah!”

“We gotta get out of here,” Ned pressured.

“No, I gotta follow them. Maybe they will led me to the guy who dropped me in the lake,” Peter said, poking his head out again.

“Someone dropped you in a lake?”

“Yeah, it was not good,” Peter said. The men disappeared into a room and Peter moved from his hiding spot.

“Peter!”

“No, stay there.” Peter left his best friend and quietly made his way into the same room the bad guys were in. Someone suddenly knocked on the window and Ned turned around, looking at a kid in the window.

“What are you doing?” The kid asked.

“Nothing,” Ned laughed nervously. “You?”

“Chess.”

Peter squatted down and stealthily made his way into the room. The two men seemed to be tracking the purple device Peter was carrying. A monitor in the hand of one of the men, tracking the radiation emitting from the alien purple thingy.

When they didn’t find anything, they turned to leave, the room uncharacteristically quiet. It was skeptical to them. They shrugged it off and walked out the door. Peter hang upside down under a table. He reached out and shot a small mechanical spider onto the shoe of one of the men, tracking them himself.

Back at Peter’s apartment, Ned turned on Peter’s tracker. His web shooter emitted a hologram, a map, of the whereabouts of the two men. “This is so awesome,” Ned said, referring to the map.

Peter flopped onto the bed and gazed at the hologram that Ned held. “I know right? They are in Brooklyn.”

Over the next few hours, the two kept track where the bad guys were traveling. “Staten Island,” Ned announced, grabbing a handful of Doritos. Another hour pasted and Peter was loading his web shooters. “New Jersey,” Ned said, watching the hologram.

And after another hour, the hologram beeped rapidly. Ned sat up in Peter’s bed, Peter’s Spiderman mask displayed on his best friend’s face. Ned grabbed the web shooter.

“They stopped.” Peter, who hung upside down from the ceiling, turned around and faced Ned. He read the map.

“Maryland?!?”

“What’s there,” Ned asked.

“I don’t know. Evil lair?”

“They have a lair?” The spider eyes widened.

“Dude, a gang with alien guns run by a guy with wings. Yeah, they have a lair,” Peter stated.

“Badass,” Ned nodded with a smile. “But how are you going to get there if it is like three hundred miles away?” The two of them turned their heads towards the Academic Decathlon poster.

“It’s not too far from D.C.”

The next day, Peter made his way outside to meet up with the Nationals team. “Guys,” he said, coming to a halt in from of the small group.

“Peter?” Y/N asked in confusion.

“Yeah, I was hoping I could maybe rejoin the team,” Peter begged Y/N.

“No. No way,” Flash said, pushing past Y/N. Guess he was still a little pissed off about Peter being friends with Spiderman. “You can’t just quit on us then stroll up and be welcomed back by everyone.”

“Hey! Welcome back Peter,” Mr. Harrington said while hopping off the school bus. “Flash, you’re back to first alter now.”

“What?”

“He’s taking your place,” Abe laughed.

“Uh, excuse me. Can we go already? Cause I was hoping to get in some light protesting in front of one of the embassies before dinner,” Michelle announced.

“Protesting is patriotic. Let’s get on the bus,” Mr. Harrington said. Flash shoved his yellow jacket uniform into Peter before angrily stomping onto the bus. Everyone loaded onto the bus except Y/N and Peter.

“Why did you rejoin the team? I thought you were needed by Mr. Stark,” Y/N said, a single eyebrow raised.

“Well, yeah but he was generous enough to let me go for the weekend,” Peter shrugged. Y/N nodded her head suspiciously. She walked up onto the first step before Peter stopped her. “Hey Y/N?”

“Yeah,” she said, turning around.

“Y-You don’t–a-are you–I don’t–do you–do you have a–uh–are you–no–you don’t happen to have a date to Homecoming, do you?” Peter asked, tripping over his words. Y/N smiled sheepishly and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

“No, I don’t actually. I guess I have been kinda waiting for the right guy to ask me, you know?”

“Y-Yeah, yeah. Absolutely,” there was an awkward silence between the two.

“Sooo?” Y/N pushed.

“Hmm?”

“Do you have anything else you wanna ask me?” Y/N tried hinting, attempting to be somewhat discrete about it. Peter opened his mouth to say something but the words he wanted to say, never came. Instead, he squeaked out:

“N-No, I’m good.” Y/n slumped slightly and turned around, continuing her journey up the bus.

“Dammit, Parker! What is wrong with you? Why couldn’t you just ask her? Why couldn’t you just ask her to Homecoming? Damn idiot,” Peter said to himself quietly, mentally slapping himself in the side of the head before entering onto the bus.

For the entire trip,Y/N and Liz were testing the other kids. Liz and Y/N took turns asking the question and the kids would ring in when they knew the answer. Y/N asked the last question on that specific topic and Peter rang the bell. He answered the question perfectly and Y/N nodded towards him. “Very good, Peter. It’s good to have you back.”

“Its good to be back,” Peter muttered to himself. The boy looked down at his phone which was ringing. He stood to his feet and looked at Y/N. “Can I take this real quick?”

“Yeah. Sure.”

“Thank you. Hello?” He made his way to the back of the bus, sitting one seat behind Ned. Y/N watched him as his face scrunched up as he talked to whoever was on the other side of the phone. Y/N snapped out of her thoughts, clearing her throat in the process. She went back to reading off her note cards until they reached their destination.

When they made it to the hotel, the kids all marveled at how big it was. They all signed in and were given partners to room with. Peter was with Ned and Y/N was with Liz. Peter glanced over at Ned.“You brought your computer right?”

“Why?”

Inside their hotel room, Peter plugged his suit into Ned’s laptop and set everything up. Peter pulled out some tools and began to work on his suit, trying to locate the tracker Tony installed.

“Peter. Why are we removing the tracker from your suit?” Peter glanced over at Ned, a flashlight in his mouth. He removed it and turned his attention back to his suit.

“Because I gotta follow these guys to their boss before they move again and I don’t really want Mr. Stark to know about it,” Peter admitted.

“Sooo…you’re lying to Iron Man, now?”

“No, I am not lying. He just doesn’t really get what I can do yet,” Peter shrugged. Peter found the tracker and pulled it out of his suit. “Got ya. Alright Happy, have fun tracking this lamp.” Peter placed the track on the lamp and went back to looking at his suit.

“There’s a ton of other sub systems in here but they are all disabled by the…training wheels protocol,” Ned laughed.

“What?” Peter moved to sit beside Ned, confusing written on his face. “Training Wheels Protocol?”

Ned held in a laugh.

“Turn it off!”

“I don’t think that is a good idea. I mean, it’s blocked for a reason,” Ned pointed out. Peter moved off the bed and jumped onto his own one.

“Come on, man. I don’t need training wheels. I am sick of him treating me like a kid all the time. It’s not cool,” Peter said in frustration.

“But you are a kid.”

“Yeah, a kid who can stop a bus with his bare hands,” Peter protested.

“Peter! I just don’t think this is a great idea. What if this is illegal?” Peter jumped off the bed and knelt next to Ned.

“Ned. Please. This is my chance to prove myself,” he begged. “I can handle it. Ned, come on.”

“I really don’t think this is a good idea.”

“The guy in the chair,” Peter whispered encouragingly.

“Don’t do that,” Ned rolled his eyes.

“Come on,” Peter persuaded.

Ned sighed and double tapped his computer. Immediately, Peter’s suit light up and they both looked at it. Peter put on his suit and normal clothes over top of it. He zipped up his hoodie and put the hood over his head. He peeked out the door of their room.

“Okay, the glowy thing is evidence. Keep it safe, alright?” Ned reached over and grabbed the glowy thing off the bed.

“Okay.” Peter looked at his web shooter, reading the map laid out for him.

“They’re moving.”

“Be careful,” Ned said. Peter left their room, closing the door behind him. He turned to leave and stopped when seeing Y/N in her swimsuit, a towel in her arms. Peter backed up slightly and she smiled at him. “H-Hey Y/N.”

She pass him and motioned for the others to follow her. “We are going to go swimming,” she whispered. The others ran quietly past Peter. Flash following behind them all to give Peter a slap on his butt. Peter jumped and protested quietly. The kids disappeared, leaving the two in the hallway alone.

“I-I was uh–I was going to go study i-in the business center,” Peter lied.

“Peter, you don’t need to study. You’re the smartest person I know,” Y/N grinned.

“Really?”

“Yeah, I know you’ll make us proud tomorrow,” Y/N said truthfully. Peter looked at her in admiration.

“This is really important to you,” he noted.

“Well of course. It’s our future. I don’t want to screw it up.” He nodded in agreement. “Also we raided the mini bar and these candy bars were like eleven dollars. So if you wanna join us, you are more than welcome to” she tossed him a candy bar. “Just come down whenever.”

“A-Actually I really do have to study,” Peter lied. He could see the disappointment in her face but she covered it was a soft smile.

“Oh okay. If you insist.” She turned to leave, briefly glancing back at the boy before joining the other kids. Peter sadly turned and walked in the opposite direction.

The kids all played and splashed in the pool, Peter watching them from the open window on the rooftop. He smiled down at Y/N who casually sat at the edge of the pool, her feet in the water.

He stood to his feet and put on the final piece of his suit, the mask. As soon as it was situated, the suit light up again and a voice spoke to him.

“Good evening, Peter.”

“Hello?”

“Congratulations on completing your rigorous Training Wheels Protocol and gaining access to your suit’s full capabilities,” the lady announced.

“Thank you.”

“So where would you like to take me tonight?”

“I-I put a tracker on someone. He’s a bad guy,” Peter said, putting his hands on his hips.

“Tracker located. Plotting course intercept target.” He watched the lady pull up a map and show him where the bad guys were located.

“Okay, well as long as i make it back in time for the decathlon, I am fine,” Peter said before swinging away and following the map. Peter jumped onto a moving truck and rode it a few miles out of town.

“One hundred meters from destination and closing. Jump now,” Peter did as he was told, jumping off of the truck and landing on the ground. He ran into the brushes and kept low. “Detecting three individuals.”

“Why is their secret lair in a gas station? That’s so lame,” Peter whispered. He climbed up the sign of the gas station and sat down on it. “Hey suit lady, what are they doing?”

“Do you wanna hear what they are saying?”

“I can hear what they are saying? Uh, yeah.”

“Activating enhanced reconnaissance mode,” Peter’s suit x-ray scanned the van the bad guys sat in and he could immediately hear their conversation.

“Woah, that’s so cool! They are in the middle of a heist. I could catch them all red-handed. Okay, I am going to get a little closer so I can see what is happening,” he told the suit.

“Would you like me to engage enhanced combat mode?”

“UH, enhanced combat mode? Yeah!”

“Activating instant kill,” the suit said suddenly. Peter’s eyes turned black with little red circles in the center.

“No, no, no, no, no. I don’t want to kill anybody,” he insisted. His eyes went back to their regular white.

“Deactivating instant kill.” He jumped and webbed the sign but immediately fell flat on his face against the pavement. He stood up in confusion.

“What the hell just happened? What was that?”

“You webbed the sign and landed on your face,” the lady stated. Peter looked up and tried webbing the sign again. Small webs landing on it.

“Suit lady! What is wrong with my web shooters?” He ran for cover.

“Rapid fire is the default for enhanced combat mode,” the suit said.

“Why would I need rapid fire?” Peter asked, slightly confused.

“Would you like to see more options? You have five hundred and seventy-six possible web shooter combinations.” Peter looked down at his hands, every option lighting up on the screen.

“Mr. Stark really over did it.” He shook his head and pointed to one of the combinations. “That one.”

“Great choice! Would you like me to set this as your new default?” Peter tested it out. A web came out alright, shocking the sign and lighting up the letters on it.

“What was that?” Peter asked, running to hid again.

“Taser webs,” the suit lady chimed.

“Taser webs? I don’t want taser webs,” Peter whispered, jumping onto the roof of the gas station.

“You seem to be very unfamiliar with your web shooter settings. Would you like to run a refresher course?”

“No, just…you choose,” Peter said, shaking his head.

“Sure!” Peter looked up and saw three long trucks passing on the main road. He then looked up just in time to see the flying monster swoop down and hover over the trucks. “What the–”

Peter watched the flying monster guy/thing, latch onto the last truck. He dropped four cubs and a purple portal opened. The man dropped into the loading container and disappeared from Peter’s sight, the wings of the suit being left outside to fly above the truck.

Peter jumped and landed on the truck the monster was in. He peered into the container, watching the man load a backpack full of items from the shipping container.

“Woah! Cool! It’s like some kind of matter phase shifter,” Peter observed, reaching his hand out to touch the purple portal.

He backed away and waited for the villain to exit the moving container. As soon as he did, Peter webbed the backpack and pulled it towards him.

“Hey, big bird! This doesn’t belong to you,” Peter shouted. His eyes dilated as the monster jumped back into his suit, detaching from the container. “Oh god.” He flew towards Peter but he dodged him easily. He aimed his web shooters at the flying monster and the webs fell short. “Suit lady! What was that?”

“You told me to choose.”

“What? No, just set everything back to normal,” Peter struggled, now trying to block the bird man without any weapons or webs on hand.

“Activating all systems.”

The man grabbed hold of Peter’s shoulder and tried pulling him away. Peter was able to push away from his grasp, however; he lost his balance and fell into the portal. He knocked the cubes in with him. He immediately jumped up to escape the container and he hit his head. The portal closed and Peter lay unconscious.

The Train

Pairing: Y/N and Harry

Word Count: 4201

Prompt: Y/N walks in, and Harry notices she’s wearing yellow again, this time it’s a yellow sweater with a pair of dark skinny jeans and brown ankle boots, her hair is pulled back into a pony tail with a white scrunchie with little smiling suns and he swears that he has to squint to look at her. “Oh! I know you-you’re the guy from the train,” Y/N beams, “Harry, right?” she sets down the tray of muffins.

“I didn’t tell you my name,” Harry snaps.

Y/N pouts, “well yeah, but I’m also not stupid,” she says.

“Are you joining us today Harry?” the man asked, “I’m Seth, I run the group.”

“Why else would I fucking be here,” Harry grumbled.

Y/N grabs a muffin, ignoring Harry’s sour attitude, “here, they’re made with love,” she smiled, holding out the blueberry muffin.

“Fuck off,” Harry says. He watches as her smile fades and the glint in her eyes seems to disappear, for a split second Harry feels like a dick, but then he realizes he doesn’t care and Y/N should just shove the muffin up her ass.

Harry was annoyed.

It really hadn’t been his day at all. His morning was terrible, he woke up next to a blonde and he tried really hard to remember her name-only to fail. When he asked her to leave she insisted on making breakfast, to which Harry responded with “feel free to grab something and leave” and then he proceeded to shower. When he got out, the unknown girl stood in his kitchen making herself a smoothie and toast. Her red lips in a pout, “come on, you can’t be in that big of a rush,” Harry ended up calling security, she was crazy.

When he went into the studio he was blank, the songs he did come in with were rejected and he couldn’t find the energy or muse to write another one. He was out of inspiration, nothing amused Harry anymore. He found himself not enjoying the things he used to love, drinks seemed to be the only thing that made him feel something (and it was only for a little bit). He didn’t enjoy being surrounded by his friends and family, his love for writing was slipping through the cracks, and his energy was fading.

Another mundane day has come to pass, your best friend’s arm slung over your shoulders as you soak up the blinding sunrays on your skin. The sun pressed harsh kisses on your delicate skin, a definite burn accompanied by heavy sweating was just the peak of your day. You could barely remember the words of your professor, zoned out and ready to slump into your couch for two days.

Anthropology was fun when you still had your first year jitters, excited to be in university and getting a degree in something you loved. Now, a few weeks into your second year, you wished the years would just pass by.

Distracted by your internal monologue, you barely caught the bus on time, the driver ready to zoom through traffic and you waved your hand out wildly to catch his attention. You stumbled into a seat, the bus moving no less than a second after you got on.

Mindlessly watching the street signs while numerous people leaving and entering the bus, you get off at the stop near your house. You kick off your shoes, dropping your bag on the shoe rack and you heard a broken sob.

“Mom? Dad?” You went into the kitchen, followed by a set of sniffling before going into the living room. Your father held your mother in a consoling way, her hands clinging onto his red sweater. She grabbed a tissue and blew into it.

“Mom? Why are you crying? What happened?”

peppermiints-please  asked:

SO I was just reading another fic where Bitty was looking for cans of pumpkin and I just thought... I wonder how Bitty reacted to the news this past fall that cans of pumpkin actually contain very little pumpkin? That like, it's mostly other squash?

“Yo Bitty, we’re back!”  Ransom and Holster stomped the snow from their boots and tramped into the kitchen where Bitty was prepping a whole line of pie dishes with their bottom crusts.

“Perfect timing!  I was just finishing up with these.”  He reached out to take a ag from Ransom and start unloading it into the pantry.  “Thank you boys again, I just could not hoof it all the way to Stop & Shop in that weather.”

“We got your back, bro.”  Holster slapped him on the back and started pulling out bags of nuts and fruit for the Hausgiving pies.

“Where’s the pumpkin?”  Bitty asked, looking around at the pile of groceries.  “I should get started with that since it’ll take the longest.”

“Oh, I think it’s in here,” Ransom said, giving one of his bags a shake.  It made a metallic clunking noise as cans of soup knocked against each other.

“In there?”

“Yeah.  I know, I hate when they bag all the cans together too.  This thing’s fuckin heavy.  Like, we get it, it’s organized, but it’s -”

“Y’all got canned pumpkin?”  Bitty looked at him with wide eyes, a bag of pecans dangling from his other hand.  Ransom cut his eyes over to Holster, who was staring back at him, fear clear behind the lenses of his glasses.

“Um…yes?”

“That’s not what the list said.  I wrote one pumpkin.”

“Like…an actual pumpkin?  Like for Halloween?” Holster asked.  Bitty whirled around to face him.

“YES like an actual pumpkin!  That canned junk ain’t real pumpkin, it’s mystery squash.”

“Oh.”  Holster scooted back to the door, carefully keeping the table between himself and Bitty.  He remembered the Beyonce album release fit and did not want to find himself the target of Bitty’s next rage.  “Um, should we go back and get one then?” His voice squeaked a little and Ransom would usually chirp him for days for a crack like that, but he honestly couldn’t blame him.

The happy ding of Bitty’s phone getting a text from Jack saved them.  Bitty just sighed and shook his head as he pulled out his phone and read the message.  “No, y’all just go upstairs and don’t bother me ‘till these pies are done.  Jack’s almost here, so I’ll have him stop.  Clearly y’all were not ready for Hausgiving errands.”  He waved them away, and neither argued as they turned and scampered up to the attic, Ransom carefully snagging the bag of Doritos off the table as they left.

Jack showed up twenty minutes later with his overnight bag over his shoulder, a bag of extra butter and flour, and a beautifully round pumpkin tucked under his other arm.  Bitty kissed the pumpkin and his boyfriend, in that order.

“Honey, this is perfect.  I should’ve just sent you from the start, I dunno what I was thinking letting the boys go on their own.”  Jack smiled in that fond way he did when Bitty was being ridiculous.

“Come on Bits, they tried.”  Bitty hummed and Jack tipped his chin up for another kiss.  “Just think, when you met them, they would’ve come back with a Marie Calendar’s and a case of pumpkin-spice flavored beer.”  Bitty laughed through the pained groan that thought elicited.

“Oh lord, is that was passed for Thanksgiving here?”

“No,” Jack said, setting down the groceries and suitcase so he could wrap Bitty in his arms.  “That would’ve been them trying.”

“That’s horrifying.”

“Mmhm.”  Bitty pressed his face into Jack’s chest.  “And look how much they love you.  Jack picked up the bag of cherries from the table.  “These are organic.  Do you know how huge that is for these guys?”

“Cherry’s my favorite,” Bitty mumbled.

“They know.”

“…Maybe I was a little harsh earlier.”

Ransom and Holster woke up from an afternoon nap to the smell of a mystery squash pie sitting on top of Ransom’s Orgo textbook and figured they’d been at least partially forgiven.

‘ I couldn’t ever make you see. ’

GOLDEN DAYS.

‘ I found a pile of Polaroids in the crates of a record shop. ’

‘ and she had Farrah Fawcett hair. ’
‘ don’t you wonder when the light begins to fade ? ’
‘ all the memories that we make will never change. ’

‘ don’t think I’ve ever used a day of my education. ’
‘ there’s only two ways that these things can go. ’
‘ how was I to know that all your friends won’t hold any grudges ? ’
‘ I got the final judgement. ’
‘ you’ve been gone so long, I forgot what you feel like. ’
‘ but I’m not gonna think about that right now. ’
‘ all our friends want us to fall in love. ’

HOUSE OF MEMORIES.

‘ the lonely moments just get lonelier, the longer you’re in love. ’
‘ I don’t want to be afraid. ’
‘ baby, we built this house on memories. ’
‘ promise me a place in your house of memories. ’
‘ I think of you from time to time, more than I thought I would. ’
‘ you were just too kind. ’
‘ I was too young to know. ’
‘ that’s all that really matters. ’
‘ I was a fool. ’
‘ those thoughts of past lovers, they’ll always haunt me. ’
‘ I wish I could believe you’d never wrong me. ’
‘ will you remember me in the same way as I remember you ? ’

IMPOSSIBLE YEAR.

‘ there’s no sunshine. ’
‘ all the guests at the party, they’re so insincere. ’
‘ these nightmares always hang on past the dream. ’

We have barely spoken in a year. Although I’ve gotten over you and what you did to me I’m not sure I ever expected it to be like this. What happened to the boy that I knew because nobody can find him anymore. We agreed not to be strangers but that’s where we are and I’m assuming that’s where we will remain which in a way is kind of messed up because I showed you parts of me that nobody else has seen but then again I hid more of me than you knew. You didn’t know me and I never really knew you but I guess you just wanted to forget for her. I have no shame in remembering because I don’t let the choices that I made with you define me. Those choices allowed me to finally explore who I wanted to be and they let me learn how to love every inch of my being. So I guess erasing a memory from over a year ago shouldn’t be news. All along our journey together it was a constant waiting game. In fact all along the way I knew I could never grow to love you but I prayed that I would, and yeah we did things backwards when we knew that the world was against us just like you joked in the beginning. It’s not like you never cared because you did and everything that you gave me still remains tucked away in my closet but as the months continue to pass I pull them out of hiding and their presence doesn’t phase me anymore. You’ll truly be out of my life in five days which doesn’t seem relevant it’s just strange how quickly we grew to each other and how much faster we grew apart. So this is goodbye and this is me saying thank you for shattering who I used to be so that I could pick up myself and transform into a person I am confident and proud to be.
Humans Are Weird - Prosthetics

So, I’ve just binged on a bunch of “Humans are Weird”/”Space Australia” posts and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the ideas and the concepts, and I figured I’d toss my hat into the ring with something I haven’t seen much (if any) of - Humans with physical disabilities. I’m of the thought that some aliens are like starfish, and can just regrow their limbs after a period of time if lost, and other aliens will retire their crippled to more ‘homely duties’ with assistance by other aliens, or that some aliens will be rid of their crippled in search of a physically strong race.

—–

Zan’via had dealt with humans on their travels before, having even crewed on a few ships with small teams of humans on a few missions. And they could say that they were impressed: while a lot of the stories they had heard were true, there were many more things that he had not heard of but had seen that had left him thoroughly surprised and, in some cases, even somewhat scared.

They never expected to encounter anything like this.

To be fair, all the captain had asked of Zan’via to do was to go retrieve the ship’s head of security (a human that all of the crew referred to as ‘Chief’) for a pre-landing brief. And the Chief’s door was open upon reaching his berthing, so Zan’via didn’t feel the need to knock.

Finding the human with only their underclothes on wasn’t what shocked Zan’via. Seeing half of the human’s left leg on the desk across the room was.

“Christ mate, you should’ve knocked.” The human said with a breath of relief, having been caught by surprise by Zan’via.

“I apologise, Chief, I forgot that your species has reservations about being seen in a state of undress.” Zan’via responded, their eyes still fixed on the limb still resting on the desk top. The human noted this and sighed, reaching over to grab the leg and get it ready to attach onto his body.

“So, what’s up?” ‘Chief’ asked nonchalantly as he undid a few clips on the metal plate just below his knee and started lining up the connectors on the prosthetic limb with the plate.

“The captain has requested your presence on the bridge… what are you doing with your limb?”

“Just putting my leg on for the day.”

“I was not aware that your species had removable limbs…”

“Oh, we don’t. This is a replacement for the one I lost a number of years back.”

“But it looks artificial. I remember reading that humans can survive a number of injuries and heal back remarkably well.” To this, Chief laughed.

“Mate, there’s a difference between recovering from a few broken ribs and a large penetrating wound, and having your leg completely severed from just below the knee. Our bones can reform from breaks and fractures, our skin can seal back up, and some of our organs can and will grow back if we lose parts of them, but we cannot regenerate a large part of our body after an injury like that. And after decades of leaving people crippled after an accident or a defect leaves a person without an arm, or a leg, or a hand, we developed technology that allowed those people to regain their lost ability.” Chief finished clipping his leg on and rotated his ankle around to test functionality. “At first it was just to help people walk and move around, but as time went on, our prosthetic technology advanced to the point where we can replace entire organs without any loss in functionality. Hell, some of the replacement parts we’ve made can even exceed what the human body can do naturally.”

“But why?” Zan’via was still having trouble comprehending exactly why humans would want to do such a thing. Chief shook his head and stood up, beginning to put on the rest of his duty uniform.

“Because we believe that everyone should have the best quality of life, regardless of their circumstances. Just because you don’t have an arm doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to write or fly. Just because you don’t have a leg doesn’t mean you can’t run or jump or dance. Some people lose their limbs in accidents and find life afterwards hard because they can’t do things they once did beforehand. Others are born missing limbs, and never get the chance to do things ‘normal’ people can do. If we can provide a chance for them to live life like the rest of us, then why not?”

“I think I understand… somewhat.” Zan’via’s eyes then locked back onto the now-covered leg, then back up to the Chief’s face. The human could see what his companion wanted to ask next.

“Vee-Bee-Ess-Ess gone wrong, about six years ago. I slipped off a walkway on a Torian cargo vessle and my leg caught between a support beam and a storage container. Combat Medics had to sever my leg to free me. I was in hospital for a couple of months for healing and installation of the neural interface that allows me to move my leg the way I do, then another seven months in rehabilitation to learn how to walk again.” Chief then lifted his leg and rotated his ankle, then set it down and jumped and twisted around. Zan’via watched and just from observing, they could not see any major signs that the human was any different from any normal human. “Now I’m good as new, and have been kicking ass since.”

“I can see.” Zan’via backed up and let the chief pass them through the doorway as the pair made their way to the bridge. “Does it hurt?”

“The pain never really goes away, to be honest. Sometimes it feels like I’ve still got my old leg there, even when the new one isn’t attached. ‘Phantom Limb Syndrome’, they call it. But I manage, I’ve done so for six years so far.” The human then looked to Zan’via, and they could see the glint of determination in the human’s eyes. “If keeping my job and doing what I love meant that I had to have all my limbs fully replaced, then I’d do so in a heartbeat. Nothing can stop a human from a goal, nothing but death.”

Zan’via stood in place as the human continued on towards the bridge, dwelling over what the human had told them. The next chance they got, they would write it down into the ‘notes’ section of the manual in regards to humans.

Conditioned (Part 4)

(Tae wonders if he’ll ever get to experience the things you do with the men you date, only to be surprised by what he gets.)

Warning: 12,400 words of sex stuff, sub!Tae, female dom, aural voyeurism, tease and denial, or something like that

After a month of hard work on a critical project, the head of Tae’s department invited the entire team out to eat and drink on the company’s tab.  Tae enjoyed these outings, partially because he liked socializing with his coworkers and partially because he liked eating for free.  His boss was the son of the company’s owner and liked to be a show-off with his money.  He always chose places that served the highest quality meat and drink.  They were already well into the evening and Tae had happily gorged himself on hanwoo beef and upscale soju, while chatting with his work friends.

“Are you even listening to me?” Tae was frustrated from having to continuously repeat himself to his friend, Hoseok.  “You keep looking over my shoulder while I’m talking to you.  Is there something going on behind me?”  Tae started to turn his head to see what it was that had Hoseok so distracted.

“No, stop!  You are going to make it too obvious and they’ll notice me looking at them!” Hoseok waved at Tae to lean in across the table so they could speak privately.  “I’ve been watching this couple behind you.  Something seemed odd about them and I’ve been trying to figure it out.  I think she’s giving him a hand-job under the table.”

I swear I'm not crazy (actually I'm apart of the Harry Potter fandom so I probably am)

Okay so my mom and I were driving home from Barnes and Noble (yay new books) and she asks me to explain Fantastic Beasts to her and how it all ties in with the Harry Potter series. So I start explaining as we’re coming down the highway but then I stop because on the side of the road we see something. At first I thought it was a statue just because I was so freaked out. But it wasn’t. It was a man who was dressed EXACTLY like dumbledore. The man was old, so old. He had a long white beard that reached his knees. A pointed hat was on his head, he held a huge walking stick that towered over him with something carved into the top of it. (This actually reminded me of Gandalf lol) And he wore a long, thick, deep purple cloak (remember from philosopher’s stone how wizards would wear green and purple around muggles???); btw it was 85 degrees. Not only that but his eyes were so blue. I don’t know if I could mix paints to come up with the color of blue they were. After we passed him, my mom and I just looked at each other. Now I love Harry Potter, so much, but I understand that it’s fiction. After today though, the thought crossed my mind. What if there is a wizarding world? I NEED ANSWERS JK. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU’RE HIDING

Fake AH Crew Finally Captured

‘The Fake AH Crew has been captured and is in police custody,’ says Sergeant Burns. They were caught when an attempted robbery failed due the train they hijacked being deliberately diverted manually by off-duty officer Miles Luna, who has since been promoted. This brings an end to the 5-year reign of the infamous….

“Alright Ramsey, that’s enough. Hand back the newspaper.” The guard steps into Geoff's cell to take away the newspaper he had asked for.

“I’ve barely started reading it,”

“You’ve seen enough.” The guard hands the newspaper to one of his fellow officers after shutting and locking the cell door. It clangs loudly, the noise irritating Geoff. The guard smirks at the grimace on Geoff’s face.

“Better get used to that sound Ramsey, you’re going to be hearing it a lot more in your future.”

“That’s what you think,” Geoff whispers to himself, as he turns away from the door, huddling closer to the wall. In his hands, he holds a pencil, knicked from the man’s shirt pocket.

“Let me out!” Michael is unsurprisingly yelling at the two guards still standing at his cell door. The third one had to leave after the first 20 minutes when the sound grew too much and caused a migraine. The two left had long since forgotten the rules and put in earbuds, blasting any kind of music they had to drown out the Jones boy’s voice.

“Hey Bitches!! Pay attention to me. Fucking look at me. Come on, I’m BORED!” And finally one of the officers snaps.

“Shut the Fuck UP!”

“Make me.”

The guard opened the cell door and marches in, gun in hand. He aims it at Michael’s head.

“Stop talking.”

“Shoot me.” With that, Michael grabs the guards hands, wrapping them in his own.

“Miss Patillo, if you cooperate with us, it could really reduce your prison sentence. Is it really worth throwing so much of your life away for these men?” The psychologist looks Jack in the eyes with her own tired ones. She smiles but it doesn’t quite reach her eyes. They look sad. Jack’s face mimics hers.

‘They saved my life.” Jack utters it quietly, looking down at her lap before turning her face to the side, losing interest in the conversation. “Besides, I don’t know anything. I’m just the driver.” Jack leans back in her seat and refuses to make eye contact.

The psychologist leans marginally closer to Jack, and whispers. “Do they really care about you?”

Jacks eyes widen, and she glares at the psychologist. They stare at each other for an eternity, then Jack leans, reaching out and grabbing the psychologists shirt. “You don’t know.” She rips the top button off and the psychologist gasps. Jack leans back again in her chair as officers rush into the room. The button slips into her bra as she crosses her arms.

“I’m bored Lil J,”

“Yeah, me too Gav.”

“Wanna play Patty Cake?”

“What are you, eight?”

“Got a better idea?”

“…No.”

The pair shuffles from their position of leaning against each others backs to sitting cross-legged in front of each other on the bed.

“This is dumb.”

“Just play along. Ready? Patty Cake, Patty Cake, Bakers Man.”

“Bake me a cake as fast as you can.” A guard turns and stares at the two known criminals playing with each other like children.

“What are you doing.” The guard steps closer to the cell because surely this is some devious plan, and they must be hiding something because no way would two grown men be playing pattycake of all things while locked in a cell.

“Playing. It’s boring in here.” Gavin smiles sweetly to the officer.

“Stop it.”

“Are we annoying you? Sorry, that really wasn’t the intention.’ The guard falters at the innocent smile on Gavin’s face, and the almost shy way the other hides behind him.

“It’s okay, I guess.” The guard turns away, missing how Gavin’s smile changes, into something more devious.

“Why don’t we play a different game?” The pair stands. “Bet I can run into that wall before you can!”

“It’s on.” The pair grin at the guard as he turns to stop them.

“We’ve got you all Vagabond. Even if you escape, there’s no one left for you.”

The officers turned it into a game, to see who could rile up the vagabond more. It’s not as if there’d be any repercussions. The man’s been tied down for hours in the interrogation room. The door has been left open so everyone passing can see the infamous vagabond tied down like a dog, incapable of fighting back.

“You’re no threat. You’re nothing. You can’t do a single thing. The vagabond who’s killed more people than slept with caught by the police, along with his entire pathetic crew.” The officer taking his turn on the Vagabond is a thin and mildly pathetic thing. The highlight of his year is this moment. Ryan thinks he’ll kill him slow.

He becomes distracted however when he sees Jack being dragged past the open door. Her head is down, her red hair covering her face. Someone hurt her. Ryan thinks he’s let the guards have enough fun; he needs to get back to his crew.

Ryan feels around behind him with his hands. The cuffs are simple. The Vagabond knows everything there is to keeping someone captive, usually for torture and over the years he’s learnt you can escape cuffs. The cuffs slip off and he catches them before they clatter to the ground. Then he stands. The wooden chair legs break when he kicks his legs apart. Cuffs hung from his ankles and one wrist.

The entire room’s mood changes in an instant. Every single officer has a weapon in their hands within seconds, pointed directly at Ryan.

“A single step and we will shoot.”

Ryan grins and takes a step.

“Oi, Geoff, wake up.” There’s a pat on his cheek, and he opens his eyes. The rest of the crew stands around him. Jack is patting down Jeremy, ensuring he’s healed properly, while Ryan talks with Michael. Gavin is looking down at him.

“Is everyone all good?’ Geoff asks after climbing off the metal table.

“Yeah. It’s about 8 o’clock. Caleb brought us some clothes.” At the mention of his name, Caleb came forwards carrying Geoff’s suit. Looking around, Geoff noticed he was the last awake.

“How’d everyone get out?” He asked while pulling on his pants.

“Well, Jeremy and I ran head first, full speed into the cell wall. Broke our necks. Apparently, the officer who was watching us quit an hour later. Weak stomach. Probably good he’s not a cop anymore.” Gavin was smiling at Lil J, who giggled a bit. It was a surprising sound in the quiet of the room, but it made Geoff smile none the less.

“I got the cop to shoot me in the head. Made him angry enough he came into the cell and put his gun on me, so a grabbed his hands and made him pull the trigger. Dude’s probably fired.” Michael was grinning from his perch on another of the cold metal work benches. “Not as impressive as Ryan though.”

Geoff raised an eyebrow at Ryan who grinned sheepishly. “The had me in an interrogation room, me and about 12 cops. They all shot me when I escaped the handcuffs.” Ryan sounded embarrassed but Geoff beamed at him.

“Good job buddy. What did you do Jack?”

“Nothing amazing. I stole the psychologist’s shirt button and choked on it. Wasn’t the best way to go. They tried to give me the Heimlich.” Jack was blushing a bit. “What did you do Geoffrey?”

“Slammed my head down on the pencil I stole. Took a few tries though.”

“That sounds gross.” Gavin had wrinkled up his nose in distaste. Jack looked a little alarmed.

“Yeah, It’s not an experience I want to repeat. Come on, let’s go let the city know we’re back. I’m sure they missed us.”

I wish I could see your eyes again.
Not just passing you by, glancing quickly before averting my eyes to something less painful. But up close in the sunlight, staring into them so I could see every pigment of light greens and yellows.
I wish I could see them like I used to, full of love and not hatred. I wish you looked at me with them in the same way you had before. Maybe then I wouldn’t feel so numb. Because I remember how it felt when you looked at me that way, in the sunlight, up close, with all the love in world. I remember how full I felt. I remember feeling like that was home and I had finally found where I belonged. I remember feeling like that was my place, right in your eyes.
I feel so out of place lately. I don’t know why I’m here anymore, or what I’m doing. I need guidance.
I wish I could find myself again, in your eyes.
