how could i not ship it

SuperCorp Appreciation Week - Day 1 : When You Started Shipping SuperCorp
2x1 “The Adventures of Supergirl”

When I saw these two interacting in the first episode of season 2, I started shipping them immediately ‘cos I’m hopeless that way. Though I never could have imagined how well their relationship would be developed and how awesome a character Lena would turn out to be or that I would ship them more than I’ve ever shipped any other ship. Kara and Lena truly are my otp.

Been seeing a bit of discourse over the fact people think shipping Link with anyone is wrong because he’s (mild spoiler) probably 15 or so like it’s mentioned that Zelda is in a memory.

Realistically though if Link functioned like a real human, needed to sleep, took time to recover, couldn’t die and come back etc; it could take him years to gather all the shrines and save Zelda.

He’d be older by the time he got any leisure time to spend with Sidon if he kept at his quest for a few years diligently. Plus I don’t see either of them rushing into something especially when Link is a mostly silent guy, it would take them a lot of time spent together to even build a close friendship let alone something more.

At least that’s how I see it, kinda wish people would focus more on real issues instead of policing people’s fictional shipping choices. I’m sure there are people out there purposely shipping this problematically but I don’t appreciate when people lump me in with them just because I ship something in my own AU way.

As I’m sure some of you have seen from my previous asks and posts that I advocate for fictional freedom, but that does not mean people should be putting shipping content in the main tags. Be aware not everyone enjoys the ship, it can be a struggle for new blogs wanting as many notes as possible to not put it in the main tags but you are making non shippers uncomfortable and bringing negative attention to the ship.

(Okay let me first say AUs in which any of les amis are royalty weird me out since, yknow, monarchy, so let’s assume Enjolras happened to be born the crown prince of Camelot and absolutely hates it and is determined to dissolve the whole notion of a kingdom when he’s supposed to ascend to the throne or something like that)

We all know how the story goes: everyone hates the current king for his ban on magic throughout Camelot. Enter Grantaire, a powerful (though he doesn’t realize it) wizard new to the kingdom who hates the king for the exact same reason, and his son by extension.

A vengeful witch tries to kill Enjolras. Grantaire saves his life, though he doesn’t understand why at the time. The king makes Grantaire Enjolras’ manservant as a ‘reward’.

They can’t stand each other at first. Grantaire’s never been that well-off, and he’s uncomfortable in a ridiculously lavish place like the castle. He throws snark at Enjolras every time he’s forced to dress him or pull his bath water or whatever. Enjolras, for his part, hates Grantaire’s attitude and snaps back every time he prods, saying things like ‘the size of my bed/stable/army is beyond my control’.

The Great Dragon tells him it’s his destiny to protect Enjolras and stay by his side. ‘Two sides of the same coin’, the Dragon calls them. Grantaire wants to serve Enjolras even less, after that.

Then he starts to notice things. The sparseness of Enjolras’ chambers compared to the other rooms in the castle. Enjolras paying the merchants for far more than their goods cost, then distributing it to the children of the town. His camaraderie with many of Camelot’s knights, yet his disdain towards the ones who talk down on the poor. Arguments that happen between Enjolras and his father behind closed doors while Grantaire stands outside (”No one person should be allowed to decide who lives or dies!” “It’s the way we’ve lived for centuries.” “Then the way we live must be changed. When I become king…”).

Grantaire sees a glimmer of hope through Enjolras. Maybe, just maybe, he’s someone who could change Camelot for the better.

Grantaire stops complaining about having to prepare Enjolras’ breakfast or polish his armour, even after Enjolras says he doesn’t have to. Grantaire tells himself he’s only doing it because it takes no effort with his magic.

If it were up to Enjolras, he wouldn’t have a manservant, but he can’t bring himself to tell Grantaire to leave. He doesn’t understand why–Grantaire is loud, insufferable, pessimistic, and often shows up late in the morning reeking of the town’s tavern.

But sometimes Enjolras catches a glimmer in Grantaire’s eyes. When he’s reading, or caring for Enjolras’ horse, or when he’s laughing with the knights on the training grounds. The grass seems to stand up taller where Grantaire walks through it. Enjolras knows that’s a ridiculous notion.

One day, Camelot is swept up in a mysterious drought that left it with barely any water and food (hint: it was magic). Enjolras steals the food that the king has been hoarding away in the castle stores and distributes it to the people.

It’s the same day Grantaire realizes he now has two secrets to keep: that he’s a sorcerer, and that he loves Enjolras.

Another day, a great beast which seems impervious to Enjolras and his knights’ attacks (hint: it was magical) knocks Enjolras unconscious on his back. When he comes to, it’s only to see an armourless, weaponless Grantaire standing alone in front of the slain beast. Grantaire’s eyes are golden when he turns around and fixes them on Enjolras.

It’s strange. He could swear on the life of every citizen in Camelot that Grantaire’s eyes are a deep brown.

“Do you permit it?” Grantaire keeps asking Enjolras. He asks when he wants to leave the castle, or assist one of the knights, or borrow a book. Enjolras tells him he doesn’t need to ask for permission to do anything. Grantaire is his own person, after all. Not that Enjolras could refuse him anyway. Still, Grantaire keeps asking.

“Do you permit it?” he asks, with a roll of his eyes, when Enjolras asks where he’s going. He’s only going back to his own chambers. Enjolras reddens.

“Do you permit it?” he asks, shyly, holding a tunic that Enjolras has gifted him for his birthday (which Enjolras went through a lot of trouble to discover).

“Do you permit it?” he asks, with thinly veiled panic behind his eyes as he holds a letter from his mother with shaking hands. He needs to return to his hometown for a while. Enjolras never wants to see that look on him again.

“Do you permit it?” he asks one day, when he stands beside Enjolras as a dozen archers aim their arrows at him. Enjolras takes his hand and smiles. He wishes they had more time together.

They aren’t shot. As if propelled by an invisible force, all the archers are knocked off their feet and their bows broken. Grantaire holds his free hand towards them. His eyes are golden. It’s all the confession Enjolras needs.

“Do you permit it?” he asks, wanting permission to leave Enjolras’ service. They avoided each other for a week after the incident. Grantaire’s use of magic broke Camelot’s highest law, which Enjolras hates. He doesn’t understand why Grantaire wants to leave. The thought makes his heart clench.

Enjolras permits it, on the condition that Grantaire stay by his side. It’s not an order, but a plea. No one should be forced to live in the servitude of another, after all, least of all someone like Grantaire.

Grantaire wants the reason for his condition. Enjolras gives it to him in a rush of breath. Grantaire’s eyes go wide.

“Do you permit it?” Grantaire asks, laying a tentative hand on Enjolras’ cheek.

“Yes,” Enjolras says. Grantaire’s eyes close. Maybe they’re golden. Somehow, when Grantaire’s lips touch his, he can’t bring himself to care.

Grantaire never asks for permission again.

Who was Kitty Livingston? I saw a couple Hamilton blogs 'shipping' her with Alexander Hamilton but i also saw some people saying she was his sister - which deeply disturbed me at first, until i did some fact checks and realized that Hamilton didn't have any sisters. But I couldn't find what was her actual relationship to him? Nor how anyone could get that mixed up but I guess that's just the fandom.

When Alexander Hamilton arrived to Elizabethtown, New Jersey in 1773, he met William Livingston and his family, which including his daughter Catharine “Kitty” Livingston. Hamilton wrote letters to Kitty because he could discuss politics with her. He was open to talking about other things such as marriage and romance.

What's your thoughts on antis threatening Kathleen Kennedy for her comment on stormpilot ?

I mean, I have a LOT of sympathy for Stormpilot shippers. I kind of always had a feeling they were being queerbaited, but to have their ship dismissed and laughed at seriously sucks.

I don’t really feel qualified to comment on the overall anger at Kathleen Kennedy, as I’m white and a lot of the controversy with her relates to her apparent resistance to diversity. From what I’ve seen, this is seen as just another example of that. I don’t know how much veto power she gets on the story, but if she’s the one who nixed Stormpilot, I could understand the anger (even if I always inherently disagree with directly attacking creators). But it’s probably a lot more complicated than Kennedy just saying “yeah, that’s not happening.”

Interesting footage at the Logies in Oz of David Berry and his onscreen wife from 'A Place to Call Home'. That is how you would expect two co-stars with other SOs to behave. It's clear that they're just friends and while they walked the red carpet together, no one could possibly assume that they were a couple. I've stayed on the ship, despite the fuckery & bullying by Shatner (I cancelled my Starz suscription because of his abuse of women in this fandom), because of the way SC behave off screen.

I thought the same. They seemed very comfortable around each other, but at an appropriate level. They both maintained their personal space, but still connected with one another. It was a great example of an onscreen couple on the red carpet. And also highlighted how our couple behaves.

Can we all just think a moment and appreciate that Tweek x Craig went the way it did? I mean, think about it. Matt and Trey COULD have spent the whole episode mocking the ship (I mean they kinda did, but hopefully you understand what I mean). They COULD have used the episode to 100% sink the ship and establish that Tweek and Craig, like, hate each other or something (not that that’d stop the shippers, but you know what I mean). This is the show that mocks pretty much everything, no reason to think this ship should be any different just because the fandom likes it, especially with how little canon interaction they’ve had besides that one episode way back in Season 3.

But they didn’t. Instead they made the two pretty much best friends at the very least AND kept their relationship, whatever the true nature of it is, going past that episode AND throw tease for the shippers around like confetti just about every time the two appear together (which is often these days). Thinking about it like that and thinking about how they COULD have chosen to approach things just makes me appreciate all the more how things turned out.

Panguur x Teelah?

Send me a ship and I’ll give you my (brutally) honest opinion on it

Okay so I have too manY feelings about this ship. I just love them?? Like I’m literally so deep in PanTee hell I can’t even see the sun. I’m trapped. Drowning in feels. And in dumb/cute/funny headcanons too.
Look, they’re killers, they’re Nasty People™ buT. I love. How cute and domestic they are together. They have sucH horrible lives and we keep making them WORSE and making HORRIBLE headcanons for them and I love how they just becoming better people but only for each other. Like I’m sorry if Pan could purr, he would purr everytime Tee kisses his cheek. Mr.Scary Crime Lord is literally so goddamn in love with his tiny, murderous gf and I’m dead bc it’s adorable and they’re adorable and I love them. They murder people together and it’s super romantic okay.
What I love with this ship is that we kind of started shipping it out of nowhere and everything still makes sense. How they meet, how they start becoming more than friends, how they change and how their feelings change because of things that happen or happened to them, etc. They feel so real. They feel like actual, real people to me and that’s what I love about them.

tl;dr: you can pry this beautiful trash ship from my cold dead hands.

How Pearl and Peridot fused
  • Pearl: Your doing it wrong.
  • Peridot: That is impossible. I clearly have the superior intellect and skills necessary to perform the task at hand. I am doing fine.
  • Pearl: No, that is improper and not how this task at hand is supposed to work at all. Here, let me do it.
  • Peridot: Hey! I *muffled peridot noised* stop that.
  • Pearl: No! Hey! Why you little *muffled pearl noises* stop... I... Eyy
  • (Task gets done)
  • Jade: There! Told you I could do it, yeesh, it just goes to show if you want something done, you have to do it yourself.
  • Jade: ...
  • Jade: Wait.

I separate fanon personalities from canon. For example; I like the idea of Keith always having a poker face whose rare smile could light up the stars in fanfics and such but in canon he's more like a socially awkward fella that does smile pretty often when he's having a good convo with someone. That's why I keep my ships fanon cause I like how people depict them but I know it's not like that at all in canon and more of a bromance than anything else.

That’s literally what I’m like I have fanon interpretations of characters that are nowhere near close to canon but literally fanon =/= canon and idk why some people find this so hard to grasp it literally isn’t difficult to separate fanon and canon and enjoy them as separate mediums

Could I have a ship with NCT 127? I’m a ‘01 liner (Why do I gotta be a tol smol. ALSO I HAVE NO CLUE IF THIS IS HOW THIS WORKS, BUT SMACK ME WITH SOMETHING SOFT IF IT DOESN’T.)

I ship you with… Jaehyun!

I think he’d love how quirky and cool you look! He’d always be very impressed by your style and look, something he’d always gush about to other people. And you’re tall! He’d love a tall partner because of practicality and gown striking you look!❤️btw u r so cute omg

This would never happened and I'm not even sure how it would make sense with the already existing plot on the show but I've always liked the idea of caleb being A/A.D

Honestly I think any of the male love interests would make great A.D’s. Sadly, I think you’re right in that Caleb would never be A.D… I think out of all the ships, H*leb will absolutely be endgame, they absolutely have to be one of the weddings. I’m still holding out hope that Ezra could be A.D tbh

It's not even about sex with larries, it's just mentioning a women. Some of them think Harry never said any of that in rolling stone because he hates his womanizer image and would never do anything to encourage it. Do you hear yourselves??? He literally said the album was inspired by ONE woman over the course of years. YEARS. How exactly does that make him a womanizer? I wish they could just admit they hate women and move on

They DO admit they hate women but they make it look like it’s ~~because women deserve it~~ and bc they’re the ~~biggest LGBT activists in the world~~ bc they ship a gay ship.

I can't explain how much I love when Emma and her family acknowledge that Killian is a pirate in a really nonchalant and not negative way. Do you think you could do a gifset of Emma saying "let's get my pirate back" and Snow saying "that ship has sailed and there's a pirate on it". They're both just like yep he's a pirate and he's family get over it.

i will try anon!!! tbh im so overwhelmed by this scene i think it’s all i’ll be giffing for the night but i will try and get this request done for you asap :) posting it for reference

Do you ever just genuinely worry for the people who ship Delena and believe it's a healthy couple? Like minus the vampirism and all that jazz, they could acc be in a similar relationship in their future and that's kind of scary

I think it’s scary but I also think it’s to be expected sometimes like when I hear their reasonings I think about what I was like when I was a teen and how romantic certain things sounded until I got those things or saw people get those things or just grew up so sometimes I just think they need to grow up.

Mistral and air-ships

Mountains, chasms, rivers, forests… the same barriers that protect human settlements from the overland approach of Grimm also work against human efforts to explore new territory and make contact with other human settlements.

Sailing ships allowed Mistral to colonize anywhere and conquer anyone they could reach via rivers and coastal waters. But expanding over land had to wait until they discovered how to use Dust to lift their sailing vessels into the air.

Mantle cannot have developed everything first, and I think this first belongs to the kingdom of naval conquest. Even in the modern day, Mistral’s national symbol seems to be a sail-winged, Dust-fueled air-ship.

Air-ships would give Mistral a unique and overwhelming advantage to attack with impunity and without regard for the defenses on which other settlements relied. Mistral’s ships could carry soldiers over mountains, forests, rivers, Grimm, and the walls of other settlements. More terrifyingly, they could carry bombs to simply drop straight down unto people’s homes.

Like this, conquering the rest of southern, eastern, and western Anima was just a matter of time. But Mistral still lacked the ability to colonize the frozen north of their continent, and their primitive air-ships probably lacked the fuel efficiency necessary to cross the deep sea and reach other continents.

At least until Mantle returned to meet Mistral as an equal.

Hi! Sorry to bother you, but where did you buy the Yuri on ice merch from? I can't seem to find the calendar anywhere but I would really like it! Have a nice day!

Hi! I bought the calendar from and then I used a proxy service to forward it to me, since movic does not ship outside Japan.

I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Japanese websites, but, if you don’t know how to order it yourself, there are proxy services that can purchase it for you and then send it wherever you live.

I hope this was somewhat helpful!
