how can you not like this game

8

my hobby is getting heated over ppl mistreating jotaro on twitter

anyway you can like or dislike him, but claiming he has no personality or has no regard for others’ wellbeing is bullshit. y’all really forgetting that time he bet his soul to save kakyoin? he didn’t even let joseph play the game saying “grandpa have you played any of these games more than kakyoin?” even though he himself doesn’t know how to play it

his way of showing emotions is different from, say, joseph’s who wears his heart on his sleeve, a lot of his feelings are concealed.

he was a lil shit to his mother, and he handled parenting horribly, that is true, but he’s clearly shown as a person who has difficulties in showing affection, and the reason he left his family is not to get them involved in this stand bullshit - he learned first hand that stand users attract each other.

but should i really remind you about this:

or this:

or this:

or this:

i could dig out more proof but i ain’t spending any more time on y’all dumbasses who can’t actually think about the reason for the character’s actions for a second

i do like to make fun of araki from time to time, but he knew what he was doing when creating jojos. they’re the core of the story after all. and you have to embrace their differences - as a matter of fact, it’s what makes all the jojos interesting

That’s also Patience. She stayed with Toriel until she found out aged boss monsters ,like Toriel, can’t grow old without having a child. So she went out of Ruins and searched for Asgore. And well, you know what happened next.

Justice’ determination overpowered Integrity’s just like how Frisk’s overpowered Flowey’s from the start of the game.

I’m surprised I’m getting fanarts when there’s no story about them, or even Frisk and Chara- But sure! They never fail to make me smile :’)

Chapter Thirteen: Nicolas Flamel 24/06/17

If you want to participate in #hogwartsreread the rules can be found here. Here’s my thoughts on the chapter:

  • Saying Wood was becoming a fanatic like he didn’t leave the womb lecturing about quidditch
  • Huh Hermione seems like the kind of person who would be good at chess. Maybe she thinks too laterally and doesn’t focus enough on the strategy of it
  • Wait did Nicolas Flamel die when he was 666 years old? Conspiracy
  • They were discussing what they’d do with a philosophers stone….presumably make gold and live forever. What else can you do with it? I don’t understand this game
  • Oh it’s like ‘If I won the lottery…’ got it. I feel like an idiot now
  • Honestly how peeved would you be if you paid to watch a quidditch match and it was over in five minutes? I know this is just a hogwarts game but if must have happened professionally at some point, what a waste of money
  • Snape saying ‘hocus pocus’ is hilarious especially when you read it in Alan Rickman’s Snape voice
  • Ron is so funny this child is so under appreciated

Gaylord II

Overall I like Dark Souls II so far as a game, although there’s a number of things that I liked about Dark Souls I that this game does wrong.

The main thing is the atmosphere. What I loved about the first game is that it presented a cruel and unforgiving world, but it was never condescending. It encouraged you at every turn to keep fighting forward.

The intro in this one meanwhile has characters outright laughing at how you’ll die over and over again. It’s way too on the nose and plays into “hey look our game is SO HARD PREPARE TO DIE”

As far as the gameplay goes, I can appriciate it for what it is thus far.

So I was recently playing Venetica, which is probably one of my favorite shitty video games.  I mean, it’s not actually horrible, but it’s definitely unpolished as hell and doesn’t exactly feel like a triple A game.  It’s also really weird in some aspects.

Take the lockpicking mechanic, for example.

At one point in the game, you meet these two brothers:

(that’s Scarlett, the  protagonist, on the left, BTW)

You get a mission with these guys where the end result is pissing one or both of them off.  Despite this, they decide to help you by showing you how to pick locks.  It’s basically a mini-game of Simon says, push the levers in the right order, blah blah blah. Fairly standard course of events for an RPG I guess.

Then later, they both die in an assassination attempt on your life.  Okay, seems pointless, but whatever.

But for some reason, you can’t pick locks without them.  Like me, you may begin to wonder if you’re just using the controls wrong.

But NOPE.  Turns out they’re the only ones who can pick locks.  They weren’t teaching your earlier, they were basically just letting you watch.  And there’s no way to prevent their deaths, so what’s a girl to do?

The answer is that you gain the ability to see ghosts.  And it turns out these particular ghosts (at least one of whom doesn’t like you) just follow you around everywhere showing you what order to push the levers in every single time.  Like there couldn’t possibly be a less convoluted way for you to do it.

I still like you, Venetica, but I think you’re a little crazy.

PDA with the band?

2D: 2D would be a little shy about PDA at first. He would get nervous about giving you more than a peck in public. But if he saw someone staring or trying to flirt with you he would pull you close to him and stick his tongue down your throat so they knew you were with 2D.

Murdoc: Murdoc is all about PDA. He loves pinning you to random, flat objects and making out with you until you’re out of breath. Murdoc likes to make a game out of PDA. How much can you two get away with before you get caught? He would even dare to slip his hand in your pants while in the back of a taxi.

Noodle: Noodle doesn’t really mind PDA. She tends to ignore the rest of the world when she’s with you. She would hold your hand, stop in the middle of the pavement to hug you, kiss you whenever she felt like it, and even put some kisses on your neck if she was feeling daring.

Russel: Russel didn’t care about PDA. He loved kissing you regardless of who was around. He wanted everyone to know what a prize he has. Russel loves holding your hand and swinging your arms. It makes him feel like everything’s alright in the world. Kissing you gives him the same effect.

speaking of raywood, how excited r u about Ray becoming an honorary dad w/ Dream Daddy?

can’t wait to hear ray’s character have lines like “what do i look like, a fucking straight”

nah but really it’s a cool project in general and he seems excited about it so props to him! but from a personal standpoint i’m gonna have to play that game entirely on mute bc i will not be able to separate ray’s character/voice from ”i’d let you film me getting fucked in the ass in central park for a million dollars” ray or danny and arin’s voices from… danny and arin

7, 16, 48?

7 - Writer I trust enough to read whatever they write?

Leigh Bardugo, definitely. I really liked the Grisha Trilogy, but the Six of Crows duology is my favourite! How can you not love the squad, even Matthias the grumpy yellow tulip? ;)

16 - Tv shows I always recommend?

GAME OF THRONES (season seven’s coming and I’m hysteric). But I haven’t met anyone personally who’s into it, so thank god for tumblr. I also would 10/10 recommend Riverdale, Stranger Things and Outlander.

48 - Top five blogs on Tumblr that I follow?

Only five?? I have a list of at least twenty. Umm ok, if I don’t mention you, don’t feel bad, it’s just because I’m currently sleep-deprived and can’t remember anything.

@lilyharvord

@chaoslaborantin

@electricons

@maudthebookeater

I appreciate the ask, thank you!

Step Brothers AU. Sometimes when Evan and Jeremy go grocery shopping Evan gets tired and just gets in the cart and sleeps and Jeremy just pushes him throughout the store. You can continue this if you want. I didn't know what else to put here.

Oh my gosh yes. Jeremy just continues shopping with Evan in the cart and makes a game out of how much stuff he can fit around and on Evan before Evan wakes up.

One time Connor happens to be in the store so he walks up to Jeremy to say hi and is met by Evan sleeping in a card with a packet of frozen peas on his face and cans of soup in his arms.

He’s just kind of like “Jeremy…..?”

An Jeremy jus laughs nervously and pushes the cart away as quickly as possible.

You really seem to like the young Drake brothers, so how about a picture of them where Sam is doing something like pushing Nathan on a swing or a merry-go-round? They didn't have an easy, carefree childhood, so it would be nice to see something where they're having some fun. Thank you! :D

I REALLY LIKED YOUR IDEA!! (but i can’t draw bgs and horses for shit) HOPE YOU LIKE IT

I've never really played mass effect. I bought the trilogy a while back and couldn't get into the gameplay but I played all dragon age games. Is Andromeda worth it? I don't care about the facial animations that ppl are panning the game for but is the gameplay and story good, in your opinion?

Oops I went out for dinner, but I’m back now. I hope you are on so you can see this! Warning: It’s gonna get long.

The gameplay for the trilogy is different from Andromeda. I honestly love the gameplay and the new skill trees for this game. It’s easy, informative, and the combat is a lot of fun. I was worried about the gameplay when I first bought the game, but I’m pleasantly surprised at how it turned out.

As far as the animations go, a lot of those issues have been ironed out in patches. There are still a few that are off and some things (like freezing during the load screens) that happens once in a while, but not enough to really say it’s terrible or too irritating.

Story is a bit wild and one part still confuses me concerning Initiative Founder Jien Garson (it could be addressed at a later time in a dlc or something, not sure yet) but the story isn’t bad. It isn’t my favorite either. I liked Shepard’s story more than Ryder’s overall, but as far as companions interactions and the overall feel of the galaxy you are exploring, it’s fun. Ryder is a fun character. Definitely green and not at all ready for what is thrown at them, but that’s part of what makes it fun. While Shepard was a soldier who had a history, Ryder’s story is just beginning.

I love the companions. Each one has a separate personality that I fell in love with for different reasons. Your companions grow as people separately from the PC. I love that. You get to see that in the Nomad conversations and the discussions they have with each other on the Tempest when you are running around doing stuff.

The crafting is fun too. It’s not as difficult as I found it to be in Dragon Age Inquisition. You can buy most things at different vendors found throughout the galaxy so you don’t have to harvest everything. There are a lot of side quests and while that still stresses me out (I hate having unfinished things in my log), I’m learning to ignore the ones that aren’t tied into the main story until later. The huge difference between these ‘fetch’ quests and DAI is that the quests have stories attached to them. You feel as if you are actually helping people. They also give you more dialogue with your companions.

There is a massive amount of dialogue. A LOT. And that’s refreshing.

EDIT: I also adored all of the loyalty quests. Liam’s is by far my favorite one, but each shows you something new about your companion and helps them grow.

Overall, I love the game. But of course, it’s for you to decide in the end. If you do buy it, I’d love to see your Ryder!

I can't believe you've been playing this game for like a year now

me neither. I only know how many ingame days I’ve played which is good bc I would be upset to see how many real life hours I’ve sunk into this

You know what I wish people would understand? Accepting what others like. Yeah, I hate some things, but you know what I don’t go around doing? Telling people they can’t love those things. You wanna love the Blackhawks? Go right on ahead. You wanna love the Penguins? Then love the Pens. You wanna love Sony? Good for you. Microsoft? Sounds good. That might make us not see eye to eye sometimes, but rivalry is good. Being a dick is not though. Can’t we all just see we love the same sport or all love video games? I don’t see how it is so hard to break down barriers and just accept people. But you know what? Keep loving what you love. It’s what makes you you

Two questions: First, do you accept submissions from Sims 3? Second of all, where do you usually get your inspiration for the replica challenges? I have a whole host of sources for floor plans and real life homes.

hello potterhead friend :D sorry for the long delay. life was pretty crazy here. so, i don’t took submissions for ts3 because my computers can’t run it and i don’t like the game aesthetic (sims faces, etc.)…. or maybe you mean ts4 submissions based on sims 3 pictures ?? i don’t know. it’s 1 am here and my brain is just a big mashed potato. if you have homes pictures, just send me some !! i just collect them <3 have a really nice day !

edit : i haven’t replied at your second question ! i found my inspo mostly on pinterest or by googling things. that’s it. when i find good houses i try to picture how dificult it can be to replicate. also, sometimes i try to do it my self if i have any doubt about it : i don’t want to give something which isn’t doable in game. :)

Hey Nicey! Since you like Prescott x Theodosia, can you give me a scenario for another picture? I really wanna draw more ; w;

Oh shit! Okay, hitting me on the spot here but lemme think… Hmm, maybe Theodosia and Prescott hanging out together and Theodosia asking Prescott how and why he changed so much in a short period of time. In the first game he was actually pretty cute and nice! He just had a short fuse because Mickey’s phone trapped him in a safe. I’m not even fucking joking that’s canon

Sam’s Adventure

I went to California and took Sam on an adventure. We made it to the Salt Flats first.

He liked Nevada too. Especially the random Arctic Circle in Elko, and the Nugget tower in Wendover. (My family played the game “How many Jacksepticeye references can you find in one place” and we got hung up on Nugget from the Kindergarten game) But he really liked California.

We had fun in Old Sacramento on the Sacramento River (we don’t know what that pyramid building is for). We had fun in the pool, splashing in the water, and at Donner Lake just enjoying the mountain air and scenery.

chasingthehero  asked:

Hi! I struggle a lot with drawing eyes, especially with shape and size :( but I love the way you draw them! Do you have any tips or tutorials???

Thank you!! well, eyes are a really particular thing in an artist style i think, and also something that can give a lot of expression and emotion to characters. I’m not really good at explaining my own drawing style, but i’ll try to give you a few tips that i use a lot to start drawing/sketching.

1) the size; i think face proportions play and important role here, starting to where to position eyes so they actually make sense. I start doing the circle and the crossed lines to make a mental map of the face

Also the cross makes easier to imagine the direction the character is looking at and so, where the eyes and the gaze is directed to, for example Pidge here may show us…

So, once you directed the face and positioned the eyes, you can start drawing on top, that’s a first step, so now you use what you’ve done to start the real thing and EXPERIMENTING!!

2) the shape; here i can only say that it’ll depend on your liking and what kind of drawing style you’re after. In my case i like to make them inspired in real life eyes, but a little bigger and rounded, it dependes on the character tho, and the expression you’re trying to achieve: for that i usually play with how open or close is the eye and the final tip of the eye, which i lift, for example if it’s for a cat-like eye, make it more rounded, for example for kids or surprised expressions, or i draw it down, for sad or tired eyes.

The rest is to complement the eyes with the eyebrows (which is a strong game in my opinion) and well… go draw drAW DRAW!!

There and on is a lot of practice and observation, and eyes and expressions will come out naturally :) I’m also still learning all this so if you need any help you can check my ‘art-help’ tag, with tutorials and reference about drawing that i’ve been collecting.

Hope this helps!! (◡‿◡✿)

NaLu Week Bonus Day 1: Video Games

In which Natsu gets way too into his online games against Gray. While he’s yelling at the TV and angry that Gray is beating him, Lucy is woken up from her sleep. So she takes it upon herself to ‘distract’ Natsu from his loss.

Anddd, you can decide where the rest goes;)

The next day:

Gray: What happened man? Didja give up ‘cause you were losing?

Natsu: Yeah right! I would have kicked your ass if Lucy hadn’t distracted me!

Gray: Distract you? How?

Natsu: Well, first she-

Lucy: *blushes intensely* NATSU! Don’t you dare!

Gray: *glances between the two* …gross.

Juvia: Juvia can distract Gray-Sama too if he’d like!<3

P.s., this prompt was originally going to be a scene from my fic, Down the Rabbit Hole, but it kind of took on a life of its own! Ah well, still fun :)

Doing Your Own Research

Or, more appropriately titled: Doing Your Own Research, Without Just Looking Up Someone Else’s Correspondence Lists. Because while those lists are very handy to get started or have a shorthand reference, it gives us memorization, stopping just short of real understanding. What’s more, most correspondence lists won’t have your local (overlooked) plant life, or whatever niche plant, rock, animal you need. Sometimes, you have to get your hands dirty and figure it out from scratch.

Anyway so here’s some stuff you can do to aid in that.

 The Science
Look into what it physically is. What family does it belong to? If that weird plant growing in your backyard is closely related to say, basil, it will likely have similar properties. Was that crystal formed under heat and pressure, or is it a sedimentary rock? What does this animal do? How does it live and survive? A lot of correspondences come from this level, and it’s the easiest level to research. Physical traits and fun science facts are all welcome here and fair game to use in magic.

The Folklore
Okay, so we know what the Thing is made of, but let’s look into its relationship with humans. There’s nothing demanding that roses be the Official Love Flower, but rather it’s a collective cultural thing. That has worked itself into magic as well. Are there any stories involving your object of choice? Local superstitions? Home remedies? What does this item get used for in wider culture? For some things, there may not be much here. But for those that do have lore, it’s a valuable resource.

The Vibes
The actual, spiritual sensations you get from holding or touching the Thing. (This is going to apply more to rocks and plants… please don’t go out and touch wild animals.) This will give you some better understanding beyond just what it does, but how it does it. Does the energy seem aggressive? Is it fast or slow moving? Does it give you the impression of being related to a certain element? Which brings us into the next…

The Voice
If you communicate with stuff or spirits at all, this is for you. Just ask the Thing for yourself! “Hello. I am ____. Tell me, what sort of things would you be able to help me with?” Prepare an interview, maybe. This will likely be more specific than “love” or “cleansing,” because they’re giving you a pitch and will know themselves very well. It may be “I help someone realize romantic feelings they already have but don’t know about,” or “I help other cleansing items so that cleansed spaces stay cleaner for longer, but I don’t work by myself.” If you get an answer, record it!

Experiment
Use the Thing! If you have a general idea of what it does, throw it into the mix for your next relevant spell and see how it changes the result. You can read a lot about something, but the research doesn’t stop when you start using it! As you discover things through repeated use, make note of that as well!

Happy researching!
