What has been the hardest social aspect to overcome during transition? And how can cis-individuals help make things easier for any and all trans people?
What sort of social aspect are you meaning? How would you define, “hardest”?
Honestly, the thing cis people can do to make things easier for trans people is to stop fucking obsessing about gender and genitalia. Someone corrects you on pronouns, fix your speech and fucking move on. If you’re not actively trying to get in their pants, stop being so damned nosey about how their genitals work and how they have sex. If you’re not their health care provider, stop bothering someone about surgeries and hormones. And, oh my god, stop it with the “how did you know” or “what changed you”. Everyone’s different and there’s no one right way to transition, and there’s no one right way to be a man or a woman.
