FYF music festival is always one of our favorite times a year because not only is it in our backyard, Los Angeles… It’s put on by our friends who also present the House of Vans summer series, Vans House Parties. So we’ve seen tons of these artists hitting the House of Vans stage over the last few years and love getting to see them again at the fest. We’ve got a pop-up on site today and tomorrow so if you are coming out don’t miss it!
My piece for the London stop of the Santa Cruz Screaming Hand 30th anniversary tour. Inspired by the surfaces we skate this version of the hand is built from red curbs, black asphalt, blue back yard pools. Show opens tonight at House of Vans London see you there!
ART SCHOOL | Jack Graydon (OR) | Vans US Open of Surfing 2017
Our next featured artist and participant in this year’s 2017 Vans US Open of Surfing is out of Portland, OR, artist Jack Graydon aka Tolietsnake. This traveling, skating, and painting talent has been creating his works for some time now–from walls to trucks and hidden places in Thailand. Graydon’s style is never stagnant or stiff, but rather ever-changing, adapting and exploring its boundaries, much like the artist himself. We’re stoked to feature Graydon’s work and find out his approach to large scale murals, how he started painting, and what event he’s looking forward to seeing at this year’s 2017 Vans US Open of Surfing.

For the first time, FYF Fest expanded it’s two day lineup to a third night and had some extra fun names added to the bill. Some our favorite sets Friday night included badbadnotgood, Angel Olsen, Björk, and Missy Elliot. That was only the beginning & we’re stoked to see what the next two days offer!
Charlavail’s Happiest Camper tour swung by House of Vans in Brooklyn, NY for a stop Wednesday. Girls came from all over the city to hang out, craft, eat, pizza, and listen to tunes. Attendees also brought school supplies to stuff backpacks that Charlavail will be donating to a local Brooklyn organization to give to foster children returning to school this month. Positive vibes and positive attitudes, we’re definitely backing that.
