I really liked it. At first we watched it because it’s only 70 minutes long, but then it turned out to be really funny. The Ethan was good and awkward and the best. When he jumped on his brother Clay with the “I love you I love you I love you” was actually the best. Well the movie as a whole was just the best. The jokes were all well placed and they weren’t stupid jokes that were just thrown in there to get laughs; they fit with the story and characters which I really liked. It’s good when a writer can do that without having to fall back on a stupid or obnoxious joke to get the audience.
And it was really well shot, too. All the wide shots that showed that Ethan was alone/excluded/different from everyone, I don’t know why but I really liked those. Or maybe I just appreciated the fact that I knew why they used those shots.
Cleo was a really good supporting character too. I like how she helped Ethan and the scene with the bathing suit and bowling was really nice. And then how they ended up together at the end was good. The Cleo/Ethan ship sailed pretty much since her first scene.
Oh and I really liked how they did the flashbacks. Those were funny. The music was good too. That techno I Love You song was the best.
