Mustang Colt with Heterochromia, “in explore” by David & Shiela Glatz Via Flickr: An individual with heterochromia has two different colored eyes. This young Mustang colt has this condition. His right eye is blue and his left eye is brown. Even his right eyebrow is a different color. This guy didn’t stray too far from his mother very often. Here his curiosity got the best of him and he approached very close to check us out. Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary, Hot Springs, South Dakota.
It’s that time of year again, where there’s dust and even more large trucks on the roads. Here is a picture from the 1877 harvest of the Dalrymple bonanza farm. Bundles of wheat lay in field behind the horse-drawn binders. Two men standing to left side of print, and another on horseback watching.
Proud Mama Mustang by David & Shiela Glatz Via Flickr: Wild Mustang (Equus ferus caballus) mother seems proud of her colt as they strut past the photographers and attract the attention of other members of the herd. Black Hills Wild Mustang Sanctuary, Hot Springs, South Dakota.

… … …
Yesterday morning Grandma Haisch went to be with the Lord. She was one of the most gentle and kind people I’ve ever met and her attitude was always positive. I’ll always remember picking raspberries in her backyard and many many years of her joyful presence. Stories of her riding her horses to school through the snow while in North Dakota will always be some of my favorites.
Miss you already, Grandma. https://www.instagram.com/p/BJqlSsah1XG/ Photo by Benj Haisch
