hoping that this fragile thing they have right now is enough

anonymous asked:

If the art was that good people would see it anyway. Without the artist needing to reblog it 100 times

I see you’re stemming from liv’s @larvesta own answer about this and I’m not gonna lie, I’m really hesitant about saying anything on the matter bc i don’t do this kind of thing but I realise people actually think this way so here’s a proper answer.

It doesn’t work that way. I should know, I should really know. People here on Tumblr get lucky often and you wouldn’t think that, especially if you don’t create content yourself. Things just don’t become popular all of a sudden, most of the time it needs to get reblogged by the right person and add the balance between having good content yourself as well as an ongoing status as a creator. Not to mention how you go about treating your followers, your personality and how you act here. And you’ll tell me; “But people with good art have so many notes! It must be because they’re good! See, you don’t need to reblog it so many times!”

I hope you know what it feels like to be an artist here because I do. I especially do. I have talked, reblogged, supported, and have met so many, too many artists here, some insanely obscure. Some whose work looks like it took so many hours and has very little over 50 notes; my work included. And I can tell you now that I can personally handpick and tell you that some of the work I’m most proud of and have took many hours on are not over 200 notes. I’m not saying I’m frustrated by that, because some of us are reassured in our skill but let me tell you that every time I think of a fellow artist out there who releases amazing art and earns very little notes who looks at their note count and wonders if they are good enough, my heart breaks. And there’s young artists who are still getting by, who are not as good yet but took the same amount of effort and time, they deserve to be cheered on.

Because people think artists here are machines, capable of creating content without regards to who actually appreciates it. No one is like that, artists are fragile just like everyone else and people really forget that. They really do.

People don’t just see the art out of nowhere, do you understand the huge amount in this platform? There’s millions of work everywhere, you need to be supported to be seen, you need to withstand the thousands of others around you and you might have to create something that’s away from the norm to stand out, you might have to take hours of your time. You don’t know unless you really indulge yourself this platform, you don’t know unless you yourself do work for more than four hours, no breaks and absolutely tired, and look at your note count to see a disheartening number. You have no idea, you really don’t.

And don’t guilt them, please. I could reblog my art so many times, but sometimes the thougt of ‘maybe it gets annoying’ always bears in my mind, artists are made to feel like it’s okay that they’re not being appreciated. I’m proud of those who reblog their art because they know they deserve better, and guess what? They do.

There’s a difference between good content and popular content, popular content aimed towards a specific audience that you know will like and reblog that. Good content is a dangerous hit and miss. I really appreciate people who do art for things that are not popular, because sometimes they really do have to rely solely on their skills. I say it’s a dangerous hit and miss because you know it might not have that specific audience, but you still take the effort and time into it anyway. Imagine that; knowing something is popular but going for the alternative anyway; taking time, taking effort, putting your all into it. That’s absolutely insane, man. Imagine knowing you can put that time and effort into something popular that might attract way more notes, but still doing something else for the sake of that something else.

Also there’s the matter of timezones, in which there’s a worldly concept that everyone is in different times and not everyone is here at the same time to see the same content. I don’t want to explain this; please at least understand the concept of time.

Artists reblog their work because they want others to see it, to appreciate it. Because sometimes it’s the only way others can. Reblogging their own work is an artist’s way of supporting themselves and you think I’m going to let you let them think that that’s a bad thing? That they’re not allowed to do that? Go home, buddy.

I don’t have anything against anyone, I just wrote this realising that people actually think this is actually how it works and even then, I don’t have anything against you, maybe you’re just misinformed, some just don’t know enough about this to really understand.

So here it is buds: support artists supporting themselves. It’s as simple as that.

You were naked and probably got awfully drunk last night.

Then it hit you. You had a fight with the god of mischief before you let tequila possess you.

 You laid back in the bed and tried to remember something more from last night, but you got nada. All you could still feel was the strong smell of the steaming alcohol off your skin.

So I have a headcanon that lance use to help his mother out around the house, mostly with the cleaning. And I somehow got this, so I hope you enjoy. This is mostly lance being buddies with the lions.

——————-

It was his mother that got him started.

She would always need help with it, not that she was fragile, she’s anything but. But that doesn’t mean that she didn’t enjoy the help, especially with the cabinets and bookshelves. And Lance didn’t mind at all. He loved helping his mom, and cleaning up the house was just one of the things they could do together. Sure, everyone helped out, but it was always Lance who didn’t it without being asked.

And after a while, it became sort of a coping mechanism. Whenever Lance felt overwhelmed, or if his anxiety got to be too much. You would always find him doing dishes or vacuuming. It was therapeutic in a way. It was something that he can control, that got him out of his head. His mom always told him “a clean house is a happy house.”
It may be overused, but to Lance it always made sense. If the house is clean, then everyone inside the house is happy. Even him.

Lance never realized how much he relied on his family. Always making something to clean up. Always keeping him busy. But now that he’s out in space, on a giant castle ship, with only six other people. Lance can’t help but miss it.

at first Lance worked on his room. Mostly dusting, and rearranging his drawers. But after the tenth time rearranging everything, Lance realized that he couldn’t clean his room more if he tried. So he moved on to other rooms. Within two weeks, every room in the castle had been dusted, vacuumed, mopped, swept and picked up as need be. The castle was spotless. And Lance felt better. He always did after a good cleaning session, albeit a long one. But it was nice. It reminded him of home; of some normalcy in what is now his life.

But soon the anxiety and the homesickness came back. But there wasn’t really anything to clean anymore. It wasn’t like there were hyperactive kids that will knock things over anymore. There wasn’t anyone constantly making a mess. There wasn’t anyone constantly cooking up a storm , sure,Hunk is always cooking, but his moms taught him well on keeping a kitchen clean, so Lance didn’t really have dishes to clean. He’ll, even their laundry is done by the castle, no help needed there. He remembers when he use to get pretty mad at his family whenever they would create a mess. But now…..now he just wishes he had something to clean. To remind him of home.

Lance was climbing out of blue, feeling a bit down for the count after a nasty fight with the Galra, that unfortunately when through some kind of space mucus ozone that surrounded a moon they were fighting nearby that got all over the lions, gunking up a lot of their movements. Thankfully it did the same to the Galra fleets, so it wasn’t that hard to beat them after that. But Lance could practically feel the stuff, and he wasn’t even the one covered in it. After taking a good look at Blue, Lance knew that he had to get all that mucus off of her. If it was messing with her movements now, he didn’t even want to know how bad it would get once it hardened. After hijacking Pidge’s latest project(a set of goggles that can translate written Altean into English, he has to give her props, this is some of her best work.) he found the right soap to use and even some wax that he can use afterwards. Blue was going to be the best looking Lion around. And he got to work. He scrubbed every inch of her till he was sure that all the hunk was off, and even asked her multiple times if he missed a spot. Who told him about every missed spot or hard to reach place. Once he had finished washing off all the mucus, he gave her a much needed waxing. No one could deny that happiness that Blue felt all throughout it and afterwards. And Lance finally had something that he could clean when everything got to be too much. They were both very happy.

It became a regular thing, after that. Whenever he had too much on his mind, Lance would go down and work on Blue. Whether it was the outside or in the cockpit. There have even been a few times where he would work on her maintenance system, but only if it needed fixing and Blue has to walk him through it. And he would talk to her, about everything and anything. About things on Earth or his family. About the others and planets that they have saved. And Blue would listen to it all, very story about when he was little and every worry that plagued his mind. She would send him support, and love and tell him that she was so glad that he was her pilot. They were both happy.

But then things started to get kinda weird. It seems that while Blue was flying just as smooth as ever, some of the other lions were having problems with certain maneuvers and actions. Which definitely slowed down their progress of freeing the galaxy. But the weirdest thing is that the other Lions started to show up in Blue’s hangar whenever Lance went down there to talk with Blue and clean up whatever was left on her from the last battle. At first they would just sit outside of her hangar, not really pushing but definitely making he know that they were there. But it was the Red Lion who got sick of sitting around, she had butted her way into Blue’s hangar and sat next to her. And That was when Lance saw it. Dried Mucus. But that battle was months ago. Lance couldn’t help but get mad. He went to check the other lions, and sure enough, there was still dried mucus and other markings from past battles littering the Lions. No wonder the other lions couldn’t do maneuvers anymore. There was still gunk clogging up their joints and maybe even in their hydrologics. Lance patted Blue on the nose and apologized, saying that he might not be able to clean her today, because there is no way he’s going to let the others stay like that. She sent him warm understanding and told him that the other lions were very grateful that he was doing this for them.

It took him two days of no sleep and barely eating to get all the lions completely cleaned and gave each of them a waxing that had them shining like stars. All the while, no one had gone to check up on him. While that did sting, it was probably for the best. If he had seen any of the others, he would have gone off on them for leaving their lions in such a state.

Soon, the other lions became part of his routine as well. Cleaning the cockpits, washing and waxing the exterior. He was really surprised and honored when Blue told him that Black asked if he could help with his control panel.( it seems that Shiro and Black Had taken a nasty hit during one of their recent battles and Shiro got thrown against the panel.hard.) It was confusing at first, and the damage was more serious than he thought, but thanks to Blue relaying everything Between Lance and Black, he was able to fix him up without much trouble. Without even realizing it, Lance had started talking to the other Lions as well. It started off as complaining about how the others don’t clean them like they should, if ever. But soon enough he was talking to them like he does with Blue. And while he doesn’t hear them respond, Blue does relay any messages back to him.

Lance never realized how close he had gotten to the other Lions until after a pretty nasty battle against some sort of squid Robeast. Blue and Red had taken a lot of hits to keep the Galra off of Green who had taken a nasty blow, making them power down. In the end they were able to beat the robeast, but Lance knew that he was going to have to buff out some dents on Blue and Red. Lance had just gotten done with buffing out a pretty nasty dent in Red’s armor, that Keith came into Red’s hangar. And it seems that Keith was not happy to see Lance there.

“What are you doing?”

“Um…”

“Get off of Red. Now.”

“But I’m not do-”

“She’s not your Lion. Get off her. NOW.”

That was when Red put up her barrier. Keeping Keith out. Lance couldn’t help but snicker. Because now Keith was yelling at Red to let him in. And apparently he was losing the argument, because the barrier didn’t go down at all. It didn’t even waver when Keith decided that hitting it would get his point across. That was when Lance felt Red give off a kind of purr, at least he thought it was Red. It was probably thanks to Blue, telling him that Red wanted him to keep doing what he was doing. So Lance went on to the next one, and next one even with Keith telling him to go away. Even after Keith left the hangar. And even when Keith came back with Shiro and Allura in tow.

“Lance?” Lance looked away from his work and looked at Shiro, who looked just as confused as Allura. All the while Keith is behind them, just as mad as when he came in.

“Yeah?”

“What are you doing?”

“Buffing out dents. I saw that Red and Blue had some pretty nasty one after the battle.”

“Ok……and why are buffing out the dents of the Red Lion?”

“Why don’t you go and do that on Blue then!” Ah, and there is Keith. Lance was wondering when he would butt-in.

“I already did Blue’s.” Ha, suck on that, Keith.

“But why are you doing Red’s, Keith could have-”

“No. he wouldn’t.”

Lance climbs down from his spot on the Red lion and heads over to Shiro and Allura. He stopped just at the edge of the barrier. Now he could really see that Keith did not like being called out.

“You don’t know that!!!”

“Yes. I do.”

Wow, Keith REALLY didn’t like being called out on this. But this was going to happen sooner or later, lance is just surprised that it took them this long to realize it.

“Lance, you can’t just clean another Paladin’s Lion.”

“Why not. I do it for all the lions.”

“Wha….what?”

“I take care of all the lions. I buff out dents, I wash off gunk, I even clean the cockpits.”

They all look at Lance like he just talked in an unknown language. the fact that Lance has been doing this for all the lions seems to come as a surprise to them. Even Keith lost his anger and is looking at Lance like he’s the 8th wonder of the world.

Allura is the first to get back some sense of her voice, quietly asking lance “and they let you? Do all of this?”

“Let me? They almost shoved themselves into Blue’s hangar hoping I would see how much work they needed. Red actually did!” Lance points back to the Red Lion, who still keeps the barrier up, if only to tell Lance that there are still some dents that need to be buffed out.

“How…how long have you been doing this?” Shiro’s stutters out, still trying to get a grip on the situation.

“I don’t know……maybe a few months? At least two months.” Lance said, trying to recall how long he’s been cleaning all the lions.

“You’ve been doing this for that long and never asked us to help? Lance, while the gesture is nice, we can clean our own Lions.”

“Apparently not. You guys didn’t even clean off the mucus gunk from MONTHS ago! How did you guys not realize that the reason the lions were slower to respond than usual was because they could barely even bend their joints! If you guys won’t even clean them when they OBVIOUSLY need it, then how can they trust you guys to buff out a few dents!”
Lance said to much. He realized it as soon as it was out of his mouth. He just called out, not just Keith, but ALL of them. That was not how he wanted the conversation to go. Wow, was the that floor panel always so interesting, because there’s no way Lance is going to look them in the face after that outburst.

“Lance….I’m sorry.”
Well that definitely got lance to look up at Keith, who actually looked sincere. Lance can’t remember any time Keith has been sincere, well yes he can, but never to Lance.

“I haven’t really been the best when it comes to taking care of Red. But you don’t have to do it anymore. I’ll-”
“Woah! Woah, Keith you don’t have to apologize to me about it. Maybe Red, but not me. I love cleaning the Lions. And while it would be nice it you guys helped out once in awhile, I don’t want to stop cleaning them.”

“Wait, so you actually like cleaning them?”

“Yeah! It reminds me…..it reminds me of home. I use to help my mom with all the cleaning, so being able to do this, it…it helps with the homesickness.”

Lance couldn’t help but get a bit flustered saying it out loud, but he needs to let them know that he enjoys doing this for the lions. He enjoys being able to do this for them. He doesn’t want to stop doing this. He can hear Blue purring in the back of his mind, letting him know that the other lions enjoy it just as much as he does.

“Still, You shouldn’t have to do this….. At least not by yourself. They are our lions. But if it means that much to you, I guess we can’t really complain. Especially with all that you’ve done for them.”
Shiro gestures up to Red.
“But, you shouldn’t have to do all of the work, Lance. It’s not fair to you, or the lions.”

Lance nods. He knows that Shiro is right, but he also knows that the lions can be kind of picky about how they get cleaned. For a bunch of robot lions, they are really vocal about what they like and don’t like. And this just means that Lance is going to have to teach the others about each lions quirks when it comes to keeping them clean.

“How about I finish up here and everyone can meet up in the break lounge, then we can talk more about it.”

“Why not go now?”

“I’m pretty sure Red isn’t going to lower the barrier until I’m done.” Lance stares up at Red, as if staring at her long enough will make her put down the shield. It does not. So win a wave to the others, Lance goes back to buffing out Red, with a much brighter smile than he’s had in awhile.

Sure, Lance loves being able to take care of the lions. It reminds him of his mom and his family. It reminds him of home. But the one thing that makes it even better is when others are doing it with you. It helps bring people together, to talk and bond with each other. And if Lance was being honest, he missed that most of all.

“Absolutely not. There is no way you are dragging me into a muggle dress shop to sit around while you try on dresses,” Sirius shook his head. “Please, Pads?” Y/N stuck out her bottom lip, giving him the pouty face she knew her best friend couldn’t say ‘no’ to. Sirius groaned. “Why does it even matter?” “Because your my bestest friend in the whole wide world and I need your opinion!” Y/N cried dramatically, throwing herself into Sirius’ lap. “Bit dramatic today, aren’t we, Love?” Sirius muttered with a roll of his eyes. “Sirius,” Y/N whined, burying her face into his stomach. “Y/N, why don’t you just have William go with you to pick out the dress?” Sirius asked, reaching down to gently play with her hair. “He can’t see my dress before the ball!” Y/N exclaimed, shooting up from his lap. “And besides, he’ll just tell me I look good in everything. You’ll give me an honest opinion,” she added. “You do look good in everything,” Sirius laughed. “I know that,” Y/N gave his shoulder a gentle shove. “But you’ll tell me which one I look best in. And I need that. And I need you there to support me because you’re my best friendddddd,” she pouted, throwing herself across his lap once again. Sirius shook his head, unable to believe that he was about to agree to this. “Fine,” he huffed. “Let’s go.” “Thank you, thank you, thank you,” she squealed, sitting up and throwing her arms around him before jumping up and bounding to the door. “Are you coming or not?”

YOI re-do AU where all 6 of the Barcelona GPF skaters and their coaches are sent back to just after the Sochi GPF medal ceremony.

Phichit is at his apartment in Detroit, snuggled down in a nest of blankets on Yuuri’s bed and prowling all his social media accounts, tearing apart anyone who says anything bad about his best friend’s performance. That’s when he feels a strike of blinding pain to the base of his skull, as if he’s been struck by lightning. His eyes roll back into his head and he faints. And when he wakes up with a startled gasp about ten minutes later, he looks around in confusion, wondering why he’s not back in his parents’ home in Bangkok.

Otabek is back at his home rink in Almaty. After failing to qualify for the Finals, he and his coach had decided it would be a good change of pace to return to his own country, and he’s working feverishly so that he can do well in his country’s Nationals and make a comeback at Worlds. He’s in the middle of practicing a step sequence when he feels the blinding pain of his memories coming back, and he falls to the ice with a dull thump. A cry of alarm goes up from his rinkmates as they skate over to see if he’s okay. His coach’s accompanying thump from the rinkside makes the skaters panic even more as they go over to see what’s going on.

The other four, luckily, are already in their hotel rooms when it happens, getting ready for the banquet.

Yuuri was grabbing a quick nap at the time, so he’s lucky enough to not feel the pain of his memories returning, but he’s startled awake when Celestino comes barging into his hotel room.

(Yuuri always makes sure Celestino has a copy of his room key, in case he has an anxiety attack or doesn’t want to leave his room before a competition.)

Celestino’s expression is frantic when it lands on a confused Yuuri, who’s trying to process all the memories flooding through him.

They both immediately know the other has also gotten the memories, and Celestino sweeps Yuuri into a crushing hug. He’d been so worried about his fragile-hearted skater after his mess of a performance, and he’s just so relieved now to know that Yuuri will continue skating, even if he does eventually leave Celestino’s rink.

Yuuri is shy as he requests Celestino to keep coaching him until the end of the season - this time, he plans to pick himself up and do better at Nationals, so that he can qualify for Worlds. He wants to show the world what an amazing coach Celestino had been, and that Viktor wasn’t the only one responsible for turning Yuuri into the skater he is today.

Desperate for Love [Suga Angst]

Originally posted by myloveseokjin

“Desperate for love is a weak emotion.”

You wanted him to grab your hand, hold it and make you feel loved and warm just by the slight touch. You wanted him to look at you, like you were the only girl for him, the only one who could capture his heart. You wanted to have those lips on yours, giving you the first kiss worth remembering. You wanted him to love you, feel the same for you as you felt for him.

Min Yoongi was cold when you knew that deep down, he was a warm hearted person who cared. Under all that fake stone hard face, you knew there was once a different Yoongi. Although he was rude and mean towards everyone, including you, you still found yourself in deep, deep love.

You wished that you could say that you could see who the nice Min Yoongi was. But you couldn’t. He wasn’t readable. His mysterious vibes and personality was something any other human would avoid. He wasn’t someone you wanted to involve yourself in.

The problem was, you couldn’t keep yourself away from him.

He was beautiful.

He was beautiful with whatever scar he had over his heart that made him the way he was.

Min Yoongi was your roommate of three years and through all those years, never once have you heard him laugh or seen him smile. He didn’t do smiles, he smirked.

Since the day he moved into your apartment after contacting you and asking if you were still hiring out the guest room, you had accepted him after searching up him on Facebook. He was hot, was your first thought when that profile picture of him appeared on your screen, late that evening.

Now, three years later, it still felt like you knew as much about him as you knew three years ago, nothing much, even if you were now his girlfriend of a month.

After years of threats and deals from your side, you were now his girlfriend but that didn’t mean that he was any different. He still made it pretty clear that the two of you should keep your lives separately although you lived in the same apartment.

“Food’s ready!” You shouted and placed down the two plates of creamy pasta that you had made for yourself and Yoongi.

A few minutes later, Yoongi appeared with a towel over his shoulders, his hair still wet from the shower. Your eyes automatically travelled down his tight fitting tee before up to his well sculpted face again. “Uhm- Here.” You said, blushing before giving him his fork.

“Thanks.”

You nodded and sat down in front of him on one of the bar stools.

This was what he could do to you. One moment you could be perfectly fine, talking like a normal person and even singing to one of your favourite songs. But whenever he looked that good, which was basically everyday, you couldn’t help but fangirl over your own boyfriend, on the inside.

“How was your day?” You asked, taking a bite from your pasta.

“Great.”

Once again, you nodded and bit your bottom lip, not knowing what to say next since he didn’t ask you about your day.

“I had a great day today, I went to the interview I told you about two days ago. You know the one for the skin care company?” That somehow caught his attention because he looked up to you from his phone with raised eyebrow.

“The Face Shop?” You nodded, gulping down some water. “Yeah, that one. I know you told me not to apply for that work but there’s absolutely no other choice. I’ve been trying to find a job - for what - over a year now.”

“I told you I don’t want you to work at that place. You can find another job, Y/N.” He said, looking at you with a seriousness that you had never seen him in before.

“Why? I need money and they’re kind enough to let me work there. I’ve met the boss as well. She’s really kind and she’s young, perfect. I don’t want to get into a fight with an old lady again.” I explained, remembering back to my previous job that I said up from because of the bossy bitch of an owner.

The fork he was holding on was set down with a thud before he stood up, his breathing hard.

“I’ll tell you once again, Y/N. I don’t want you to work there and it’s best if you listen to me.” He warned, making you completely shocked. “What?”

“Listen, we can find you another job, okay?”

“No. This is my chance, Yoongi. My boss even told me that she was going to pay me more if I could do my work. I won’t just give that up because you said so. And what’s up with that tone? Why would you use that tone with your… with your girlfriend?”

“You gotta be kidding me,” he sighed and pulled a hand through his hair. “Are you using that against me right now? So what if you’re my girlfriend? Do you even consider this as a relationship? Have you even had a boyfriend before? How childish are you, Y/N?!” Shocked and angry, you stood up as well and walked over to his side, facing him.

“So what if I consider this as a relationship? So what if you’re my first boyfriend? So what if I’m being childish? At least I’m not being moody twenty-four seven, like you!” You snapped, glaring at him.

He didn’t even budge a bit. He just stared at you. Before he burst out into laughter.

If it was any day but that day, you’d be happy to finally hear his laugh but then you realized that this wasn’t a laugh that told you that this was all a joke, that he was just kidding, that everything had been a prank.

No, it was a humorless one and you hated it more then his stone hard, careless face.

“Agreeing to this ridiculous thing was a big fucking mistake. You’re naive, bothersome and nothing but a big fucking mistake. You’re desperate, Y/N.” He picked up a napkin and wiped his mouth before throwing it on the not up eaten plate of pasta. He was turning around, stalking towards his room when you decided that it was enough.

“Do you even like me, Min Yoongi? Or am I just what you just called, naive, bothersome and a fucking big mistake? Oh, and let’s not forget desperate. Is that everything you see in me?” You asked, swallowing the lump in your throat. This was not a time to look like a loser.

“That’s exactly what I think of you, Y/N. The only reason I agreed to the whole boyfriend and girlfriend thing was because I felt bad for you. You’re desperate for me to show you any kind of affection and it got annoying, I had to do something. And then you’re naive, not even realising that I don’t want anything to do with you.”

You took a few steps towards him with your clenched fists by your side to keep you sane. “Why are you like this? Why are you treating me like I’m nothing when all I’ve done is to care for you?”

He looked at you and something in his eyes flicked before it vanished and he was back to his stone cold face. But this time, there was a frown on his face.

“You want to know why?” He asked before continuing without even waiting for my response.

“You’re not my style. You’re not someone I can fall in love with. You’re childish and annoying and carefree. You fall too easily and you love too hard.”

It hurt, what he said, it hurt like a thousands of needles just went through your whole body before repeating the same process for several times. God. “That’s not the only reason, isn’t it?” You asked, challenging him to confess everything.

“There’s more than those things about me, right? You’re cold to everyone. You’re rude and you don’t care about people who cares for you. Why are you like this, Min Yoongi? Why do you treat people like they’re not worth a shit?” With each question, you took a step closer to where he stood, just outside his room.

He seemed shocked about your questions because something flicked in his eyes once again, but this time, it stayed. He looked so fragile that you were afraid that he was going to break. You had never seen him react to something you said like that. He’d usually just ignore it because, apparently, you were annoying.

“Answer the damn question, Min Yoongi.” You said, this time, you took two big steps until you were a few feet away from him. “Why do you keep pushing me away?”

Silence.

“You’re not her.”

It was enough but he didn’t stop there.

“You’re not her and you will never be her. You’re name’s not Ji Hyo. You don’t have her short, wavy hair. You don’t look like her and you don’t even have the same accent. You don’t have dresses and you don’t use make up. You’re desperate for my attention when I was the one desperate for her attention.” His eyes softened but his shoulders stiffened, as well as his whole body.

“Have you ever loved someone so much that it hurts just by knowing that she could still have such an affection on you everyday because of her damn company?! Her face is everywhere I go and now, I’ll need to hear about her from your mouth as well?” You gulped and watched as his forehead made a small crease between his eyebrows.

“I love her even when she’s not here but I don’t love you even when you’re here, constantly. I miss her when the last thing I want is to see her but I don’t miss you even if you leave home for days. I need her as if she’s my oxygen but I don’t need you even if you give me everything that I need. I want her like she’s some kind of obsession but I don’t want you, because you’re too easy.”

“Stop, please, stop.” You said, collapsing down on the floor when you felt like your legs would give out any time.

He looked down at you before saying something that would break you and leave scars all over.

“I will never be able to let her go, like I can let you go.”

You didn’t come home until late last night. You knew obsessively checking your phone would do nothing to help your fragile emotions, and Pop’s wasn’t exactly an option. Instead, you walked around town until the wee hours of the night, never stopping for too long in any one place, which means that Sunday is a beautiful day of rest for your weary legs.

And still, Jughead hasn’t called. The rest of the group has texted you, and someone must have filled Kevin in because your correspondence with him thus far has been texts about how stupid Jug is being and about the level of mediocrity he reaches while you are far out of his league, anyway.

You’re not inclined to agree, but the sentiment is the same.

Once 11 am rolls around, you schlep yourself into the kitchen for a bagel and orange juice. It’s no breakfast burger at Pop’s, but it’ll do.

By the time you’ve finished, you decide to just talk to Jug first. Make the first move, and maybe he’ll come around.

“You know when your phone buzzes, it means I’m trying to talk to you, right?”

Jughead slams his locker closed Monday morning as he finally acknowledges you. “And you know me not answering means I probably can’t talk, right?” He shoots back, but there is a playfulness you can see in his eyes. This is good, you can work with this.

“Walk me to class?”

As the two of you head down the hallway, you ease into a comfortable silence. But silence is all you’ve had this weekend, and you’re not about to let it continue.

“Listen, Jug. I miss you. You’re my best friend. Please, can we just do this again?” You gesture between you and Jughead, indicating the natural way it felt to be walking with each other. “I don’t see why, if I can put aside my feelings, we can’t just continue on as if nothing went wrong.”

You see his face drop a bit as you say that, and you hope you haven’t said the wrong thing again. But before you can express that concern, he perks up slightly.

“That would be… Good, I think. We can pick up from where we left off?”

And, although it still hurt to know he didn’t feel the same, you agree.

Everyone meets at Pop’s after school, the usual routine, but you see the confusion on Betty, Kevin, and Archie’s face as they walk in to see Jughead at the booth. You hadn’t yet had the time to tell them your conversation with Jug.

“Hey, guys,” you greet as they get to the booth. Archie slides in next to Jug and Betty and Kevin fall in next to you. Avoiding the obvious and trying to not bring any more awkwardness, you ask, “Where’s Veronica?”

“She’ll be in right after us,” Betty answers, smiling tentatively at Jughead to acknowledge him before turning back to you. “She said she was going to check in with her mom befo-”

The door to Pop’s swings open and V walks in, smiling softly at the group until her eyes fall onto Jug. She speeds up her walk to the booth, stalking over angrily.

She moves her arm past Archie to grab at the soft collar of Jughead’s shirt. “What the hell are you doing here?”

Archie, alarmed, pushes her back a bit and she lets go of Jug. Also angry now, but more indignant than raging, Jughead jumps over the back of the booth the confront her. “Whoa, V, what was that for?”

You get up, hoping to explain that everything was fine, but Jughead pushes you slightly to the side as Veronica gets a hard look in her eye, her jaw setting in a hard line. “Don’t push her to the side, you’ve done that enough! You don’t get to touch her! Not anymore. Not after what you did! She deserves better than someone who breaks his best friend’s heart and then shuts her out just because he’s a loner that doesn’t want to confront his feelings!”

You look between your friends, more confused than ever about her strong reaction and the sudden bashful look on your beanied best friend. “V, what are you going on about? Jug and I talked, it’s okay. Everything is back to normal.”

The three still seated have also stood up by now, painting a very unusual picture as the group stands around the booth without actually sitting in it.

Betty softly grabs at Veronica’s arm, looking at the other staring patrons of Pop’s. “C’mon, V, we’re making a commotion. Let’s just get out of here, go somewhere more private, and all of us can have a conversation.” Betty pointedly looks at your face, crumpled in concentration as you try to understand the situation. Ronnie softens, placing her own hand onto Betty’s and giving you an apologetic look.

“Fine,” she concedes, sighing. “We’ll go to my house. My mom said she’s on her way here to start her shift, anyway.”

The others agree, and although you are still utterly lost you allow Kevin to escort you out of the diner behind B and V, Jughead and Archie trailing behind.

The walk to Ronnie’s house had been awkward to say the least, with you trying to alleviate the tension.

Once inside of the house and settled in the living room, you are about ready to burst with curiosity. However, no one seems inclined to start the conversation, with all of you sat in a circle waiting for the first word from anyone.

You take it upon yourself once again. “So, would anyone like to explain exactly what went on at Pop’s?” You ask innocently.

Jughead sighs. “Well, yesterday, I get a call from Veronica. I thought that it was about the two of us, and so I didn’t answer. Next thing I know, Veronica is outside of my house screaming bloody murder and-”

“Oh, as if you didn’t deserve it,” Veronica interjects from where she sits leaning against Betty, arms crossed. “And don’t pretend that’s the start of the story.” She turns towards you now, arms uncrossing in favor of playing with the hem of her sleeve. “After we all split on Saturday morning, Betty and I took a shower and about an hour after Jughead called us. Not the other way around. We answered, wanting to know how he felt about the big blow-out.”

“Yeah,” Betty chimes in. “We didn’t blame him exactly, not after the conversation we had with you that night. We knew it would have been hard for him to hurt you that way, too, and we all know you can’t force feelings.”

“And we figured he could use a friend. Not as much as you needed us, but still. So when he asked us to come over, Betty and I went to his house. Then he started talking to us about how he felt really bad, and that he just wanted to know if you were okay but that he didn’t want to ask you himself because he didn’t want to mess with your emotions.” Veronica glares at Jughead with the last statement, and you wait for her to continue but she doesn’t.

“Okay, but I still don’t see the problem here?”

Archie reluctantly cuts in, sitting up slightly as he cracked his back. “Well, then I get a call from Veronica as she leaves, telling me that I needed to talk to Jughead because he was acting suspicious. So I headed over after practice, hoping it wouldn’t take to long because, uh, well honestly I feel like I shouldn’t be in the middle of a lonely Jug feeling feelings for the first time.”

“Meanwhile,” Kevin interjects, “I get a surprise visit from B and V and they explain what had gone down the day before. Geez, I go to the next town over once and I miss your declaration of love!” You give shoot an apologetic look to Jughead, but he shakes his head. “So then I text you, but don’t get a reply until the next morning.”

“Wait, what happened at Jug’s house though?” you inquire. This tale gets more confusing, and V’s rage still makes absolutely no sense.

Archie continues. “I go over to Jug and, well, he tells me how he’s feeling and then I tell V because honestly it’s pretty messed up to hurt you like that?”

“Actually, you only told her when we said that she hadn’t answered Kevin’s texts yet,” Betty reminds him.

“And once she knew, she went ballistic, tried calling him first to no answer and so she goes and bangs on his door,” Kevin picks up the story seamlessly. “And that’s what he was referring to by her ‘screaming bloody murder’,” he finishes off with finger quotes.

Jughead, finally annoyed at being talked over, goes back to the story he started. “Yeah, so she’s yelling for all of holy hell to hear and comes in telling me I have no right to talk to you after what I did, which made no difference because we already weren’t talking.” He looks into your eyes, and you hate the little flutter you still feel there despite it being unreciprocated. “But it turns out that Archie,” he throws a glare the red-head’s way, “has no code of honor whatsoever and told her everything I confessed the previous night.”

You start to put it together. All of the phrases they’d been using, ‘everything I confessed’, ‘tells me how he’s feeling’, ‘a loner that doesn’t want to confront his feelings’.

You look at Jughead, and although you can hear Veronica once again getting angry on your behalf, you can’t distinguish between the words. Your focus is Jug.

“You like me,” you whisper, and you see him still. The others stop their conversation.

“Oh,” Kevin says, “I thought we mentioned that part. Had we not gotten there yet?”

Everyone is silent once more. “Y-You like me, Jughead.” It’s not a question. It’s not even a statement. It’s an accusation, and everyone knows it.

Alex!

Alexander felt a strange rush of emotions at the sight of the familiar handwriting. All his hatred for Thomas bubbled up, and constricted his airway. At the same time, he felt a fluttering in his stomach. This was the boy that he was in love with.

Did a quick doodle for the Infected!AU again, this time of Big Mac and Granny Smith! I’ve been itching to draw the two of them; it’s been quite a while since I last did, and I’m happy with the result. Also the first time I’ve drawn them anthromorphic! :3 Once again, though, don’t mind what he’s holding too much; it isn’t his actual weapon, it’s a farming tool, and the only reason it’s here is just to give him something to hold over his shoulder (like I did with AJ). Could I have done a gun? Yes. Was I too lazy to draw one? Yes. As for the fam pic, it was mostly to put them all together and partly to show off the height differences. Big Mac’s clockin’ in at about 7ft there.

Anyway, the characters: let’s start with Big Mac. He, like the rest of his family, are the de-facto lead farmers of the settlement (which I’ve started to tentatively call “Sanctuary”) Shining leads. Aside from farming and the occasional outing to hunt, Big Mac is basically a “blacksmith”, if you can call it that. Not in the traditional sense, but in the sense that he’s really handy stallion that can fix and build primarily weapons and tools, given the right supplies. He can kinda work on cars too, but that’s more Caramel’s thing.

In this AU Big Mac still doesn’t talk much, but moreso if that’s at all possible. His usual quips of “eeyup” and “eenope” don’t happen as often, and he opts to answer with his expressions, body language, or huffs of sound (grunts, laughs, snorts, you get it). There’s rumors among the kids that it’s because he remained quiet to avoid getting found by the Infected for so long that he forgot how to speak. Which honestly isn’t too far from the truth: not that he’s forgotten how to speak, but he prefers to listen and watch than to speak. You never know what’s lurking in this world, so Big Mac makes it his own personal job to do a lot of the listening and watching so the others won’t have to be as hyper aware. It’s because of his attentiveness that he barely misses anything; he’s usually the first to catch on to when things aren’t quite like they seem (Mac was the first to realize Twi was bitten but that her bite was actually healing when she returned to the settlement, something the bite wounds shouldn’t actually do if it were a normal infection). His silence makes him all the more intimidating and, as he should, he isn’t quick to trust, but he can still be the gentle giant we know him to be.

Fun notes: the watch he’s wearing belonged to his father, and he’s wearing two lockets: one contains a family photo of him and the Apples, the other contains a photo of him and his spouses, Caramel and Cheerilee.

So now Granny Smith!  Whenever I watch MLP and Granny’s featured, despite the way she sometimes move she doesn’t seem like and elder who is fragile or “rickety” as it were. Despite her age, Granny moves like someone half her age, and though she sometimes needs aid moving about with her cane she doesn’t let that stop her from helping as much as she can. The elder mare can often be seen either working the farm, planting or harvesting crops, acting as the settlement chef, sewing and making clothes, tinkering… she’s pretty good at a lot of things, farming and handling a gun specifically. She’s good enough to be one of the teachers for the youngsters in how to properly handle a weapon, anyway, and she can be a mean strategist, what once being in the army in her younger years and all. Even still, Granny remains a steadfast matriarch of the Apple Family and basically is everyone’s grandma in Sanctuary; special treats, sneaks the kids cookies before desert (when they have the ingredients to actually make cookies anyway), that sort of thing. As for her eye? She lost it a long time ago and usually wears an eyepatch on it (the thing she’s holding). She loves telling the gruesome story of how she lost it to youngsters, and they eat it up every time.

So yeah! I hope you guys enjoy the image and thank you for takin’ a look! You’re more than free to ask me questions if you have any about this AU. ^.^

Princess

Peter Hale x Reader

(NOT MY GIF)

*requested

Imagine: You have a major crush on Peter Hale, but, because of the Pack, you have to keep it a secret. One day, when he comes to your house injured, you are not able to hide it any more and comes clean to him.

Word Count: 1560

Being ordinarily human in a town crowded with supernatural creatures could be pretty boring sometimes; especially when all of your friends saw you as a fragile thing who could get broken if exposed to a high amount of shit. It was stupid, though. You were not a doll or anything related, for God’s sake; plus, even though fighting was not your thing, you could help on other stuff, like cleaning and bandaging the injured. Your aunt Melissa had taught you a lot of medical stuff, making you perfect for this task. However, bone killer Scott shut you out entirely, pledging you were too young to be on this life.

“As if I cared!” You snorted, angry. “Fucking Scott. Fucking rules. Fuck! Fuck!”

You threw, bored, the remote control on the couch’s corner, giving up on finding a decent show to take your mind away from the horrible powerless feeling you were experiencing. People needed your help and you were stuck at home, not able to do nothing about it. Why did you let people manipulate you like that?

“This calls for some booze”, you thought, standing up and heading to the kitchen. Sure, drinking would never solve entirely your problems, it’s not like it’s magic, however, you would at least calm down. Otherwise, it was very likely that you would rip Scott’s throat with your bare hands.

While trying to reach the highest shelf to grab the tequila bottle, you could not help but giggle, suddenly imagining what the pack would do if they discovered your secret crush on Peter Hale. Poor tiny human Y/N falling for a monster. It was ironic.

Finally getting hold of the bottle, you took a sip straight from it, not bothering to get a glass. The liquid went down burning and you smiled, enjoying the sensation. It was damn good, as usual.

Taking short steps, you went back to the living room, ready to put on some music and swirl your hips to it. All of that was probably due the alcohol excess, you were never a strong drinker. Yet, whilst you set up the stereo, you heard odd noises. As if someone was walking clumsily through wood sticks, breaking them with its feet.

“Shit.” You muttered, approaching the window and slyly looking through a brief shaft. There was nothing there. “I’m going crazy. That’s it.”

As soon as you returned to the room, you heard it again. This time, though, the door was swung open and a bleeding light brown haired man leant against the doorframe. What the hell was Peter doing here, at your place? Has he lost his mind?

“Hey, princess.” His voice was weak and he coughed, blood staining your carpet. “Care to help me a little?”

Your thoughts were mingled and confusing, but you propped up and went to help him. You pushed the door closed behind you and dragged him to the couch, staring deeply at his eyes. He seemed so defenseless!

“What happened?”

“Kate is back in town.”

“Kate as in Allison’s aunt?” Your eyes were widened as you quizzed him worried. “Fuck, wasn’t she dead? How did she come back?”

“As it seems, she was not killed. She was turned.”

“Into a werewolf?”

“Not quite, princess. We still have to figure out that part.” You could notice him struggling to talk and it shattered your heart the mere sight of your beloved hurt.

You always had a thing for bad boys, that was true; however, when Peter tagged along, you knew he was different. Sassy, slightly bossy… Heck, a perfect match for you. Still, you had to keep it a secret from him and everybody else. No one was allowed to know about your feelings, because it would turn out to be a major problem, considering how overprotective your cousin could get. Argh! You hated it. All of it.

“Y/N?”

“Yes.”

“Are you okay?”

“Sure I am.” Your reply came out with a fake laugh and a awkward gulp. “I think I should be asking you the same thing.”

“Uh, I’ll be okay. I only a need a shower.” He smirked tenderly, reaching to touch your right cheek. “Your heart is beating like crazy.”

Yes, this you could not hide or disguise. Seeing him hurt and in pain made your heartbeat go crazy. More than it would normally get when you were around him.

“I’m just…” You licked your lips, fighting to keep it together. “You scared the hell out of me.”

“Uh, I’m sorry.” Hale seemed disappointed, which made you bit your bottom lip. “You were the only person who came into my mind.”

“I’m flattered you considered me as an option.” A sarcastic remark slipped. “People tend to treat me like I’m made of glass.”

“What?” Peter sat up straight, wincing in pain by doing so. “You’re so tough, princess. So resilient. I bet you would make a badass werewolf.”

“Damn, this is so good to hear.” A smile curved your lips, for you were genuinely satisfied. “Now, enough with this. You need to shower and I’m going to find you clothes.”

“All right.” Hale nodded and tried to get on his feet. You could nearly feel his ache to walk and, once more, made your poor pumping organ skip a few beats. “Where is the bathroom?”

“I’ll take you there.”

Right then you realised how hard this situation was going to be. You cared too much about him to keep your shit under control for that long. It was a true challenge for your sanity; one you hoped to win.

Twenty minutes later, you found yourself lying lazily on your bed, staring at the white ceiling and pulling carelessly the soft fabric of your denim shorts while waiting for him to come out.

You took a deep breath in order to relax; yet, before it made any effect, the door was opened and a shirtless dripping water Peter walked through it, looking refreshed. This tore apart any chance of relaxation. Matter of fact, it made you more tensed up than ever.

As you sat upright, your gaze locked on him and you licked your lips, nervous. Hale must have found it pleasing to watch, for he chuckled, delighted, leaning to grasp the bundle of clothes that were by your side.

“Do you like what you see, princess?”

“I would appreciate if you call me by my name.” You retorted, looking away. “Why don’t you get dressed already?”

“Does my nudity bother you?”

“Yes. I mean, no. Why would it?”

He traced your jaw with his long slim fingers, getting you to look at him. Once you finally gave up and rose your chin, meeting his eyesight with yours, you found them soaked with tenderness. His blue eyes engulfed you like a high strong wave.

“Confess.”

“Huh?”

“Confess.” The raspy voice requested, his thumb stroking leisurely your cheekbone. “Tell me you love me, because I can hear your heartbeat from miles away.”

“Please, don’t make me do this.” You did not break the eye connection, no matter how quivery your voice were. “I don’t want to say it.”

“But you do love me.” He knelt in front of you. “God, you’re beautiful.”

“Why?”

“Why I find you beautiful? Because you are! So perfect and freaking gorgeous.”

“No.” You shook your head, giggling. “If you know how I feel, why do you want me to confess it?”

“Well, I wouldn’t want to make a fool of myself by falling for a girl who wasn’t in love with me as well.” A sinking feeling hit your stomach as you slowly understood what he was saying. “Oh, fuck! Did I scare you?”

“No, you didn’t.”

“So kiss me, please.” Peter asked, smoothly. “Go on, princess.”

A smug smirk enlightened your face and then you crashed your lips onto his, tasting all at once. He grasped your waist and pulled you closer, whilst you tugged his hair, wanting to release all the tension built up. It was so much better than you had imagined! His tongue fought with yours for dominance, the whole kiss heating up the place.

“Easy, tiger.” You whispered, splaying your hands on his chest as Hale was inches away from popping your shorts open. “I didn’t think you were this excited to be with me.”

“Ever since I laid my eyes on you, I knew you were going to be my doom.” Peter pecked your lips and continued. “The worst was that I didn’t care at all. I wanted you to crush me with your love. I wanted you to break my walls.”

“Did I?”

“Damn hell you did.” Both of you chuckled. “What about me? Did I crack Mrs. Y/N Y/L/N?”

“You know you did.” Your voice was soft. “I am hopelessly in love with you.”

Peter Hale hid his face on your neck, smiling against it, half surprised half glad by your statement. He stayed quiet for awhile, just sucking on your skin and leaving love bites behind. When he finally reached your ear, he could not help but mutter the words you wanted to hear:

“I love you too, princess.”

Your heart warmed up upon hearing that and you sealed your lips once more, realising how deep were your feelings towards each other. You two were meant to be. Definitely a love written on the stars.

I decided to make this long instead of breaking it into parts, its 10,000+ words, let me know what you all think!

 Sorry I’m not writing as often,but please be patient and I’ll get there. Thank you for all your support. I hope you enjoy this. xx

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Jackson Nathaniel Teller get your ass back here right now!”
Jax froze midstep and hung his head whilst you fought to keep the smug smile off your face as you slowly crept forwards.
“You too, (Y/F/N), (Y/L/N)!”
A groan left your lips and slowly in sync, both of you turned to face the wrath of Gemma Teller.
She stood in the doorway of her house, hands on her hips, elbows out, and an angry flint in her eyes.
Jax sighed and nudged you with his elbow.
You exchanged a dreaded glance with him and together you walked towards his mother.
“Either of you little shits wanna tell me why i have three missed calls from the principal?”
Gemma said, her voice stern and her eyes burnt through the both of you.
Even on a good day, you knew better than to mess with Gemma, and today was definitely not a good day.
“It was nothing, Gem.” You said and fluttered your eyelashes pleadingly, hoping that your puppy-dog effect might rub off on her. Of course it didn’t work. This was Gemma Teller, after all.
Gemma raised her eyebrows at you and her gaze lingered on you before she glanced at her son.
“Jackson?”
Jax sighed and rubbed his hand through his thick blonde hair.
“It was nothing Ma. Just some kids getting smart. We handled it.”
Gemma stared him down with pursed lips till he looked at his feet and Gemma leant against the door frame, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Who threw the first punch?” She asked.
You looked at Jax and he met your eye before his infamous smirk spread across his lips.
“She did.” Jax said and nodded towards you.
His mother glanced you over and reached her hands towards you.
She grasped her hands either side of your face and leant close before pressing a kiss to your cheek.
“Good girl.” She said.
You grinned and Jax laughed beside you.
“Now get your ass home before I have your parents calling me too.”
You nodded and waved goodbye to Gemma.
Jax threw his arm over your shoulder and walked along side you as you walked down the driveway., the afternoon sun shining down on you between the trees.
“I told you she wouldn’t be mad.” Jax said and you scoffed and laughed.
“You think I was worried? You shoulda seen your face!” You teased and Jax laughed too.
Both of you walked along the pavement as the sun shined down on you, teasing each other and laughing as he walked you home.
Eventually you stopped outside your house and you could both see your father, peering out at you through the gap in the curtains.
You rolled your eyes and turned to Jax.
“See you tomorrow?”
“Me and Ope will pick you up.” He confirmed.
You nodded and smiled at your best friend and he smiled back, the same smile that made your heart swoon.
And you walked into your house, leaving a sixteen year old Jax Teller on the street, watching after you and hoping that maybe one day his best friend would be his old lady.
You had grown up in Charming, born and raised and you loved the little town and all its unique quirks.
The sun was always shining, the weather was always warm and the towns people were always smiling. Well, almost always..
It was the roar of motorcycles flooding down Main Street that changed their faces from happy and content smiles to disapproving frowns and glares.
The Sons of Anarchy had always done their part in Charming, helping out at fundraisers and the town knew they could rely on the club when times got tough. Yet they often seemed to forget that, and seemed to focus on the danger that emitted from them.
Your father was one of those people, and he had been furious the first day he saw Jax Teller and Opie Winston walk you home from school.
He had warned you your whole life to stay away from ‘boys like that’, and he had lived his whole life in fear of the Sons of Anarchy.
They were gunrunners, criminals, outlaws and killers and he didn’t want his precious daughter to be mixed up with such horrid people.
But when you were seven years old and the boys in your class had stolen your backpack and had been tossing it to each other while you cried, it had been Jax and Opie that had stopped them and made sure no one ever messed with you again.
And from that day on the three of you had been your own little gang.
Your father still didn’t approve and you weren’t sure he ever would, but you didn’t care.
Because when you were with them you didn’t feel like a little girl that couldn’t defend herself.
When you were with them you weren’t afraid of anything.
And you had grown to be tough and strong, after Gemma took you under her wing.
You didn’t have a motherly figure in your life after your mom had passed away and your father had never even dreamt of being with another woman. But Gemma showed you how to be a girl that no one would mess with and you would be eternally grateful to her for transforming you from an innocent lamb into a lioness.
It was only inevitable that you’d fall in love with Jax at some point.
He was carefree, the prince of Charming, and anywhere he walked he left a trail of chaos and girls practically drooling over him.
He was charming and funny, smart, caring, ridiculously handsome and confident and he was fiercely loyal.
You were close with Opie too, of course, but it was Jax that made your heart skip a beat and when he was around somehow you struggled to find words, as the thoughts of him filled your mind.
He was your best friend, the love of your life, the prince of Charming. And you, you were the Girl Next Door. Well, technically you lived down the street, but you knew you would never be good enough for him, that you’d never be his princess.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Your cheeks were stiff from dried tears and you stared at the sky, watching the sun slowly fade into the horizon.
Opie passed the joint to you and you took a long drag before passing it to Jax, who sat on the other side of you.
The three of you sat in silence, unsure of the right words to say.
Honestly you didn’t want them to say anything. You didn’t want anyone to say anything.
Nothing anyone said could change what had happened.
Your father was dead. You had been the one to find him, seated at the kitchen table, gun in his hand and a bullet hole through his head.
He had never really recovered after losing your mother and he had struggled raising you alone. Still, you never thought he would leave you. At least not like that anyway.
The smoke filled your lungs but your body remained numb.
And so the three of you sat in silence, on the concrete ledge of the roof of the funeral home, dressed all in black as you mourned the loss of your father.
Jax hadn’t left your side since you’d found your father, dead in the kitchen and you knew both himself and Opie had been uncomfortable, attending the funeral of your father, a man who had disapproved, no, hated them.
But they had decided to attend, to support their best friend.
Jax knew what it was like to lose a father and you were eternally grateful for his support.
They had stood either side of you as you read the passage in front of your fathers friends and family, and they had sat beside you while you sobbed over the freshly covered grave.
But now your tears had dried out and the reality was sinking in.
Your mother was gone, your father was gone, and you had no family left.
At least not in Charming.
That was why your Aunty was shipping you off, forcing you to move across the country to live with her.
“When do you leave?” Jax asked quietly, his voice breaking the silence.
You glanced at him and met his gaze, his blue eyes filled with sorrow.
“Tomorrow.” You whispered, your voice cracking slightly.
Jax nodded and wrapped his arm around your shoulder and you rested your head on his shoulder.
Opie squeezed your hand gently before standing and heading downstairs to find a drink, leaving the two of you alone.
For a while you sat in silence, his arm around you as you stared out at the horizon.
Everything seemed so fragile, so small. Every moment was fleeting, passing by and you weren’t sure if any of it really mattered anymore.
“I love you, (y/n).” Jax whispered.
A sad smile formed on your lips and you nodded against him.
“I know.” You whispered.
You knew he loved you, as a friend.
But even now, as you sat at your fathers funeral, the only thing you wanted was Jax. For him to love you as more than a friend.
But you were leaving.
And he was staying here.
The rest of the night you stayed on the roof, until the early morning and at some point you had fallen asleep, wrapped in each others arms. A perfect way to spend your last night in Charming, wrapped in the arms of the boy were hopelessly in love with.

8 YEARS LATER

“Back in black! I hit the sack, Ive been too long Im glad to be back.”
You sung at the top of your lungs as the music poured out of the speakers and your car sped along the familiar roads.
It was only fitting to play such a song as you drove, heading for the town you’d left so many years ago.
You never had made it back to Charming after you had left that morning so many years ago.
Something had always stopped you. Maybe the emptiness that filled your heart every time you thought of your father and the way he had passed, or the heartache you felt when you thought of Jax, imagining him with random girls.
You had no right to be jealous really, it had been eight years since you’d left and you’d kept in contact at first, but eventually you had drifted apart.
The last you heard was that Jax and Opie were prospecting, but it had been years since you’d heard from either of them and you wondered if they’d still be around,or  if they’d even remember you.
You thought about them often, remembering the mischief the three of you used to get up to. the nights you would spend staring up at the sky, or the afternoons you’d spend on the back of their bikes, speeding along the streets with the wind blowing in your hair.
But you had a new life now, a good job, a good apartment. You didn’t have a boyfriend but you didn’t particularly want one.
You were fiercely independent and you did well on your own. There was even talk of a promotion coming up and you knew you were in the perfect position for it.
It had taken you by surprise when you’d received the phone call from the council in Charming, informing you that the tenants of your fathers house had left it in a mess.
He had left you the house in his will and you had become the official owner when you turned 21, but back then the thought of returning to your hometown had been too painful, so you’re Aunt had helped you hire an agency and rent the property out.
But it was time to sell it. There was no point in leaving it with strangers when you could benefit from selling it. You could even use the money to buy your own house in the city, or open your very own business. It was time to move on.
And as you drove a mixture of emotions flooded through you.
Nerves, excitement, fear.
You didn’t know what to expect and one part of you was praying you would run into Jax, and reunite just like old times while the other part of you prayed you wouldn’t.
You knew he would have an old lady by now and you weren’t sure how you felt about it.
He would always be the one that got away, and you don’t think you could truly ever be over the feelings you had for Jackson Teller.
You car sped along the road and before you knew it you passed the familiar ‘Welcome to Charming’ sign.
The town hadn’t changed much and you drove through Main Street, eyeing the familiar shop fronts and the new ones too.
Charming certainly had a certain ‘charm’ about it and no matter where in the world you went, it would always be home.
You knew you couldn’t put it off much longer and you finally turned into the street on which you had lived so many years ago.
You drove past the picket fences and the perfectly trimmed hedges, the front lawns with kids playing outside, under the sprinklers as they laughed in the sun.
Your heart leapt into your throat as you drove past the Teller house and you couldn’t help but glance at the half dozen bikes parked out front.
You gulped and gripped the steering wheel til your knuckles turned white and you drove on and eventually you turned into the driveway of your fathers house.

Birds chirped outside the window and you groaned.
You never had been a morning person but last night you had gotten barely any sleep.
It was hard for you, to be back in this house and the memories had haunted you all night long. It still smelt the same. At least you thought it did and waves of nostalgia kept hitting you, desperate for a time when this was your home.
You sighed and rolled out of bed and rubbed your eyes before yawning and stretching your arms.
Of course, you hadn’t thought about bringing any home appliances with you.
You had only packed a few bags of clothes, unsure of how long you were intending to stay for.
But you’d forgotten that the house was empty, including no furniture, no cutlery, and no fucking coffee.
You rummaged through one of your bags and yanked out a towel and headed for the shower.
The local diner used to make the best coffee in town and you hoped that that was one thing that hadn’t changed over the years.
After a quick shower you tugged on your ripped skinny jeans and pulled an old band t-shirt over your head before shaking out your damp hair and letting it fall down your back.
There was no time for makeup, you needed coffee desperately so you grabbed your sunglasses and your keys and headed for your car.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The diner had kept its word; it still had the best coffee in town.
But honestly, it could have been the worst, you were too tired to notice. You only craved the hit caffeine.
The old woman behind the counter had remembered you and had insisted on feeding you a full breakfast, the Charming Classic, complete with two eggs, toast, hash browns, bacon, sausages, and grilled tomatoes.
By the time you’d finished your plate you could barely more, you were that full and you slid out of the booth before paying for your meal at the counter.
By now the sun was out and the heat hit you in the face as you walked out of the diner, the bell on the door chiming behind you.
The street was already alive with the hustle and bustle of the morning.
You glanced around the street and smiled to yourself as you looked over the hanging flowers and the store fronts. It was good to be home.
Across the street Jax pulled off his gloves and stuffed them into his pockets.
He lifted his hands, littered with rings and removed his helmet.
The wind blew his blonde hair and he slicked it back.
Chibs and Tig were to his left and Juice was to his right and they too removed their helmets and placed them on their bikes.
Main Street was already buzzing with people and Jax ignored the nervous yet curious looks coming from the locals.
He scanned the street, looking for Hale, when a girl caught his eye.
For a moment, his breath caught in his throat as he looked at her.
Her back was facing him and her hair hung loosely down her back. There was something about her, he felt like he knew her, but he needed her to turn around.
“Jax! Let’s go, brother.” Chibs called and Jax snapped back to attention.
“Yeah.” Jax said and stood straight.
He followed his brothers up the street but he couldn’t help but look back.
And as he did, the girl turned flashing her face only for a moment and Jax froze in place.
But almost as quickly as he saw her, she was gone, turning a corner into a store.
“You okay man? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.” Juice asked with an eyebrow arched.
Jax swallowed and nodded slowly.
“Something like that.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ever since you were young you had always had a habit of twiddling your thumbs when you were nervous. That, and blinking your eyelashes like an idiot.
And right now your thumbs were going wild and you were practically chewing your bottom lip off. To say you were nervous was an understatement and you wanted to start your car, turn around and drive away from here.
But you couldn’t put it off any longer.
You knew deep down you wanted to see him, needed to see him.
But you were filled with dread, knowing that a man like Jackson Teller wasn’t going to be single.
You wanted desperately to see that smile once more but you weren’t sure if you could face his girlfriend. Or worse, his old lady.
You sighed and pulled the keys out of the ignition.
It was now or never.
Before you could change your mind you stepped out of your car and closed the door behind you.
Teller Morrow hadn’t changed much from what you remembered and you glanced around the lot, taking in the sight of it.
Several bikes were lined up and you gulped as you looked at them warily.
It wasn’t too late to turn around.
There weren’t any members outside, and no one had seen you yet.
You could just turn around and walk right out of here.
You were debating your options in your head and you barely noticed when a car pulled in behind you. It was only when the door slammed shut that you turned around.
Your heart leapt into your throat and you stared wide eyed at Gemma Teller.
She stood in her class in ensemble: jeans and a black low cut top, flashing her cleavage and her scar. Her dark hair framed her face and she wore her usual large sunglasses.
You watched her as she shifted her hand bag on to her shoulder. She hadn’t seen you yet, or recognised you at least and your heart was beating rapidly.
“Hey Gem.” You said.
You cursed yourself, knowing how nervous your voice sounded.
Gemma glanced at you and lifted her glasses on top of her head.
“Well well, long time no see.”
You smiled and Gemma walked towards you, arms open wide and you embraced her hug. She had always been the closest thing you had to a motherly figure after your mom died and you hadn’t realised quite how much you had missed her after all these years.
She smelt the same as she used to, perfume and cigarettes and you hugged her tightly.
“What are you doing here, sweetheart?” She asked you as you parted and she placed her hands on her hips.
You ran your hand through your hair and glanced around the lot.
“I’m selling dads house, so I’m back in town for a while.” You told her truthfully.
You hadn’t intended to stay more than a week, but you had missed this town and the more time you were spending here the less rush you were in to leave.
Gemma nodded as her eyes ran over you.
You were just a teenager when you left, awkward and rebellious. But now you were a fully grown woman and your body had definitely filled out. You had curves now, in all the right places and you looked a hell of a lot different to when you left. But your eyes were the same, always sparkling and you still had the familiar traits Gemma remembered.
You had broken her sons heart when you left and she knew you probably had no idea of the hurt you had caused that boy.
“Well lets go inside. I, for one, could use a drink.” She winked at you and you grinned back.
Gemma linked her arm through yours and together you walked towards the clubhouse.
You had seen the number of bikes outside and your heart was beating rapidly in your chest.
You weren’t sure what type of welcome to expect.
Gemma must have sensed your nerves and she squeezed your arm gently before pushing open the door.

The smell hit you almost instantly and you felt a wave of nostalgia wash over you.
Alcohol, ciggarettes, and cheap perfume were the essence of the Clubhouses very own signature fragrance and you breathed it in deeply.
Your eyes scanned the room, taking in sight the empty table and sofas and the empty bar.
“They’re in Church.” Gemma told you and you nodded.
You were thankful you weren’t walking into a room full of Sons but now your nerves were back, knowing it was only those wooden doors that separated you from Jax. This was his territory, his home, and you were invading it. You weren’t sure if he’d even want to see you, let alone have you in his clubhouse.
“You wanna beer?” Gemma asked you.
“Please.” You nodded and smiled, following her to the bar.
Your eyes continued to scan the room and you looked the wall of framed mugshots, standing proud.
A smile formed on your lips as you ran your eyes over the familiar faces, and the unfamiliar ones.
You saw Opie’s and you smiled, looking at the man he had grown into.
The other faces passed you by as you looked at each of the frames and you gulped once you found Jax’s photo, sitting proud beneath the wooden SAMCRO sign.
He hadn’t changed much at all really, although you weren’t sure how old this photo was.
But his hair was still long, and blond, and those blue eyes of his pierced through you. You could recognise those eyes anywhere.
“How longs it been?”
Gemma broke your thoughts and you turned back to her, accepting the beer she was holding out.
“Eight years.” You said.
“Lot of shits changed in eight years.” Gemma said.
You smiled and nodded.
“I know.” You told her. Gemma had always had a way with words and you couldn’t help but feel there was a famous Gemma Teller lecture on the way.
But instead, she surprised you.
“He misses you.”
You looked at her, her dark eyes watching you closely and you knew she wasn’t lying.
But before you could speak you heard a door open and you turned almost instantly.
You didn’t recognise the first man that entered the room, and surely if you had known him you would recognise that mohawk. But his soft face was unfamiliar and  you only recognised the kutte on his shoulders.
He nodded towards Gemma and looked at you curiously before moving into the room, the rest of the club filing in behind him.
“Holy shit!”
Opie practically ran across the room, nearly bowling his old man over in the process and you  moved towards him, unable to keep a grin off your face.
He wrapped his arms around you and swept you off your feet into a tight bear hug.
You laughed as he squeezed you and eventually he placed you back on the ground, where he towered over you.
“Look at you, Ope! Your huge!” You said teasingly and squeezed his large biceps.
He laughed loudly and nudged you.
“Never thought I’d see your face round here again.” Opie said, his tone still light yet the both of you knew how much he meant his words.
You shrugged his comment off and grinned up at your old friend.
It had been years since you’d seen Opie and except the beard he hadn’t seemed to change all that much. His eyes seemed tired, and you could tell he had seen pain but there was still that light that had been there so many years ago.
Silence fell between you but it wasn’t uncomfortable.
Eventually more men filled the room and you glanced around,  the butterflies simultaneously returning to your stomach.
And then you saw him.
He walked out of the clubhouse, his head hung low as he blew out a cloud of smoke and passed a joint back to one of his Brothers. He walked with the same kind of swag he walked with as a teen and your heart was almost beating out of your chest when he glanced up and met your gaze.
Blue eyes pierced through you and he froze for a moment, his mouth dropping open as he took in the sight of you.
The rest of the room could have been on fire and you wouldn’t have noticed, the only thing you were focused on was Jax.
Slowly, he began to move towards you, his eyes never leaving yours and you gulped.
Opie glanced between the two of you, sensing the nervous tension in the air and he chuckled lightly before shaking his head and walking to the bar, leaving you to reunite with Jax.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Hey.”
Your voice was brittle, nervous but just that one word echoed through him.
For years he had dreamt of this day, dreamt  that one day you would return, and you would stand in this club house once more.
But it had always been just a dream. Jax knew you would have no intention of coming back to this town that haunted you with memories and as you stood before him he fought desperately with his mind, begging for it not to be playing a trick on him.
Begging for this to be real.
He moved closer and his eyes only left yours to glance over your body quickly.
You but your lip nervously and you fluttered your eyelashes. Not in a flirtatious way, but in a way that you had always done when you were nervous.
“You gonna just stare at her?” Opies voice boomed from across the room, followed by laughter.
You laughed too and suddenly Jax knew he wasn’t dreaming.
A grin broke across his cheeks and suddenly his arms were around you, engulfing you entirely into his body.
He lifted you off the floor and squeezed you and you buried your face in his neck, letting his scent fill your lungs and you breathed him in.
Eventually he placed you back on the floor and he stepped back to look at you once more.
His grin never left his face and you stared into his eyes.
“Your back.” He spoke.
You nodded, your eyes never failing to leave his gaze.
“Ye ganna introduce the lass, Jackie?” A voice called from across the room and both of you glanced towards the man who spoke, his wide grin almost distracting you from the scars across his cheeks.
Jax laughed and threw his arm over your shoulder.
Together you walked towards the men.
Their faces were friendly yet curious to see what kind of girl could get both Opie and Jax to react like that.
Jax introduced you to his club, firing off a list of names you would have to ask him to repeat later on.
“And this is (y/n), an old friend.” Jax beamed and nudged you.
You couldn’t help a blush rising to your cheeks as you nodded to the smiling faces.
They welcomed you with cheers as they raised their beers in your direction.
“Come on, let me get you a drink.” Jax said and you followed him to the bar.
Gemma still sat, watching you with an amused look on her face and as Jax approached she stood, smoothing down her shirt and her jeans before pressing a kiss to her sons cheek.
“I’ll leave you two kids to it.” She said with a wink before sauntering off outside.
Jax chuckled and shook his head before passing you a beer and gesturing for you to sit.
You obliged and slid onto one of the barstools before taking a sip.
“So what brings you back here?” Jax asked, his haze falling bak onto you and he looked at you with furrowed brows.
You licked your lips as you placed your beer on the counter and swiped a loose strand of hair out of your face.
“I had some trouble with the tenants in dads old place, so I thought it was probably time to sell it on.” You said.
Jax nodded and took a swig of his beer.
“So your not staying?” He asked.
You shook your head and smiled sadly.
“I don’t think I could.” You said.
Jax studied you closely and he sensed the pain in your voice.
It was still a struggle for you, even after all these years to be back in a town that held such painful memories and that was clear to him. Yet he still couldn’t help feeling disappointed.
It didn’t seem fair that you would leave again, after only just coming back into his life after so many years.
But he nodded understandingly.
“How are you anyway? Couldn’t help but notice your kutte.” You said.
Jax laughed and glanced down at the Vice President patch on his leather and nodded.
“Yeah, its a new addition.” He said proudly.
You sat at the bar for a while, reminiscing on the old times with Jax and Opie joined you for a while before heading home to see his family.
Eventually though it was time for you to head home and you stood and smoothed down your hair.
Jax walked you out and neither of you spoke as you headed for your car.
The night air was crisp and cool and you shivered slightly in the breeze.
Jax noticed and put his arm around your waist, pulling you into his warmth as you walked.
“When do you leave?” Jax asked quietly.
You stopped in front of tour car and looked at him with a shrug.
“Im not sure. Maybe a couple of weeks.” You answered.
Jax nodded and leant against the car as you opened the door.
“You should come by the club tomorrow night. We’re having a party.” Jax said.
You smiled at him and nodded.
“I’ll try to make an appearance.” You winked and Jax smirked back at you.
“It was really good to see you, (y/n).” Jax said quietly.
“It was good to see you too, Jax.” You smiled back.
From the conversations you’d had with him tonight it seemed he was single, no old lady.
But you hadn’t exactly asked outright so you didn’t want tog et your hopes up. Yet you couldn’t help the feeling of hope that crept into your mind.
It was silly, of course. You were leaving. But you couldn’t help but want Jax to feel the same way, and you wanted nothing more than to reach out and touch him.
But you didn’t.
Instead, you slid into the seat of your car, waved goodbye to Jax and drove away.
And just like he had all this years ago, Jax watched you drive off. Only this time he felt something had changed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was past 9pm by the time you got home the next day and after fumbling with your keys and flicking the lights on you dumped the load of paperwork onto the floor.
Who knew selling a house would be such a pain in the ass.
You had spent all day with a real estate agent, going over the property and discussing the market.
You had been grumpy all day, after getting barely any sleep yet again, and the last thing you wanted to do was get dressed and go to a SAMCRO party.
You walked around the living room and drew the curtains before sitting on the floor in the middle of the room and opening the carton of chinese food you had bought in the way home.
It probably wasn’t a good idea for you to go to the party anyway, you thought to yourself.
You were only in town to sell this damned house and it would only be a couple of weeks before you left again. It had been nice, seeing Jax again after yearning for him for so long.
But who were you kidding?
He wouldn’t feel the same way, especially not after so many years. And you were leaving.
There was no point in getting attached when it would just hurt more when you had to say goodbye again.
No, you would stay home. On the floor of an empty house eating chinese food.
You’d also bought a bottle of wine and you left the food on the floor as you walked to your bag and rummaged through it to find the bottle.
You pulled it out proudly, almost as if it was a newborn child, and you didn’t bother looking for glasses. You knew there was none.
So you opened the bottle and took a long gulp of wine.
Tonight you would enjoy your own miserable company.

You woke to a loud pounding on the door and you groaned as the room focused in front of you.
It was dark and you rubbed your eyes.
After drinking the bottle of wine and finishing your chinese, at some point you had passed out on the floor of the living room.
The pounding continued and you stumbled to your feet.
“Im coming!” You yelled. What time was it? The sun wasn’t up so it must be late, you thought.
Eventually you made your way to the front door and you swung it open.
Jax stood in the door way, the dark night illuminated by the moon shining down behind him.
“Good morning.” He said with a coy smirk on his face, as he glanced over your rumpled skirt and messy hair.
“What the fuck Jax? What time is it?” You asked and stifled a yawn.
“3.15.” He answered.
You groaned and leant against the doorway and wrapped your arms around yourself.
“What are you doing here?” You asked.
Gradually you began to wake up more and you suddenly felt self conscious under his gaze.
You were still dressed in your business skirt and shirt and your hair was a mess.
“You didn’t come to the party.” Jax answered. He glanced behind you, into the empty  house and noticed the bottle of wine and the empty food carton on the floor.
“Yeah, sorry Jax. I got home late.” You explained.
He nodded.
“Wanna go for a ride?”
“Its three in the morning Jax.” You groaned.
Hr laughed loudly and looked at you through his eye lashes as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a cigarette.
“Never stopped you before,” He winked.
You sighed and stood straight.
“Let me get changed.” You said before shutting the door ad leaving him in the night as you walked to your bedroom.
What were you doing? You thought to yourself. You had not gone to that party to stay away from Jax. You didn’t want to complicate things. And here he was, on your doorstep in the middle of the night.
You pulled off your skirt and tugged on a pair of jeans before ripping iff your blouse and rummaging through your bags for a sweater.
Its just one ride. You told yourself, desperately trying to convince yourself that this wasn’t a bad idea.
Quickly you tugged on some socks and your boots before walking back to the front door.
You knelt by your bag and pulled out your keys before walking tot he front door, opening and closing it behind you.
The night was crisp and the faint smell of tobacco filled the air as Jax leant against his bike, puffing on  his cigarette.
The moonlight shone down on him and even in this light he was ridiculously handsome.
You locked the door and slid the keys into your pocket and as you approached him Jax tossed his cigarette to the ground.
He held out a helmet and you took it before tugging it down onto your head and buckling the strap.
You watched as he swung his leg over and sat on his bike before looking back at you, a mischievous spark in his eyes.
You couldn’t help the grin spreading over your face as you placed your hands on his shoulders and swung your leg over the bike and sinking down behind him.
You shifted your hands to bis waist and you clutched at the leather as he brought the bike to life, the loud roar ripping through the quiet night.
Jax turned back to you and you nodded, reassuring him.
Slowly you rolled out of your driveway and you wrapped your arms tighter around his waist and pressed your face against his back, leaning your body with his as he turned the corner.
Gradually his speed increased as you moved through your street and into the open roads and you let the scent of his leather fill your lungs.
The streets blurred past you as the bike roared through the night and you held on toJax tightly.
Maybe this wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

After an hour or so Jax pulled into a wooded area and rode slowly through the trees.
The track was familiar to you; it was where he used to bring you when you were young.
The area was surrounded by looming trees but it cleared out into a small opening and you had spent countless nights here, getting drunk with Opie and Jax, or simply lying on the ground and staring up at the stars.
The trees began to clear and Jax pulled the bike to a stop before killing the engine.
You swung your leg over first and lifted the helmet from your head before shaking your hair out and handing it back to Jax.
“This place hasn’t changed.” You said quietly. Your voice sounded delicate in the quiet of the night.
You couldn’t hear the roads from here, and the only sounds were the distant noises of animals and the light wind rustling through the leaves.
Jax followed you as you stepped over the grass and moved into the middle of the clearing, looking up through the opening in the trees and looking at the stars.
It was just as beautiful as you remembered.
You sat on the ground and Jax sat next to you.
Neither of you spoke for a while. You sat content in each others silent company.
“Why did you never come back?”
His words broke the silence and you struggled with your answer.
You glanced down at your hands in your lap and twiddled your thumbs.
“I couldnt.” Was all you said.
Jax nodded slowly and you sighed.
“It was too hard for me. After dad died I just couldn’t bare to bring myself back here.” You told him truthfully. “I was scared.”
You looked back up at the stars and admired their beauty.
“Did you want to? Come back?” Jax asked.
You turned to him and he met your gaze. Even in the dark light his blue eyes shone brightly and you smiled sadly.
“Everyday.” You whispered.
Jax studied you closely.
He reached his hand out and squeezed yours gently. The moment his hand touched yours you felt sparks shooting through your body.
His eyes locked on yours and he moved closer slightly. You weren’t sure if your heart had ever beat faster than it did in this moment.
As your heads slowly moved closer together you noticed everything about him. You noticed the slight speck of green in his blue eyes, barely big enough to notice. You noticed the small scar on his cheek and for a moment you wondered how he got it. You wanted to know everything about his life since you left,you wanted to know everything about this man that was right in front of you. But more than anything you wanted to feel his lips on yours.
Gradually his head moved closer to yours and you could feel the heat of his breath on your lips. You licked you lips nervously and glanced at his before looking back into his eyes.
Just as the loaning became almost unbearable Jax’s lips pressed against yours and the warmth of his mouth sent currents running through your body.
Your hands reached out and held either side of his face as his wrapped around your body and you whimpered slightly as his mouth moved in sync with yours.
Your lips moved in harmony with his and you ran your fingers through his thick hair, desperately clinging to him.
His mouth grew hungrier and he kissed you more fiercely now,exploring your mouth with his tongue. You could taste the cigarette and whiskey on his lips.
He gently pulled your body down till you were lying and he hovered his body over yours.
You opened your legs and Jax lay between them, his groin pressing against yours and you moaned softly at the weight of him on top of you.
Both of your breathing became more rapid as you made out on the grass like a couple of horny teenagers.
His fingers traced down your body and he gently slid them beneath your shirt and you whimpered softly as the coolness of his rings mixed with the warmth of your skin.
For a moment your lips parted and Jax smirked down at you before tracing his lips down your neck.
You arched your neck for him, allowing him to suck gently at your soft skin and you moaned once more.
His fingers traced further up your body and he cupped your breasts through the fabric of your bra.
You moaned and squirmed beneath him and Jax smirked as he lifted to his knees and tugged your shirt over your head.
Your hair splayed out around you messily and you looked at him through thick eye lashes.
A blush rose to your cheeks as he admired your body and gingerly you sat up and reached behind you to unclip your bra.
You met his gaze as you let the fabric fall from your skin and you tossed it onto the ground beside you before leaning back onto your eyebrows.
Jax licked his lips as his eyes explored your bare chest, and he was amazed that you could be covered in dirt and sweat and still smell and look like the best thing he’d ever seen, and he didn’t waste much time before leaning back over you.
He pressed a kiss to your lips once more before trailing them down your neck and across your chest.
Hr sucked gently as he moved, leaving a faint trail of bruises from your collarbone to your nipple.
You moaned as his tongue licked around your nipple and he sucked gently.
Jax growled at the sound of your whimpering beneath him and an urgency came over him.
His lips sucked rougher around your nipple now and his fingers fumbled with the button of your jeans.
Your fingers were in his hair, tugging at the strands gently.
Once he got your jeans unbuttoned he tugged them down your thighs quickly followed by your panties. He wasted no time in removing his own clothes and he hovered over you once more, his lips exploring your with an urgent hunger.
Your lips moved with his and you felt his fingers stroke through your wet folds and you opened your legs slightly wider, enjoying the feel of his hard cock on your inner thigh.
He works you with his fingers expertly, knowing just how to make you shudder and moan his name into the night.
He moves his fingers against you til your on the verge of your release when he stops and slides himself inside you, his hands moving to hold you by the hips gently.
He fills you slowly and you both moan as you stretch around him.
Slowly he rocks his hips against yours and it doesn’t take long til your begging for more.
His thrusts became rougher and harder and with each move he leaves you breathless.
The night is filled with the sound of your moans and his growls and his skin slapping against yours.
When you cum you scream his name as your walls clench around him and Jax growls as he finds his release, his hot seed filling you.
He slows his movements and gently slides out of you before collapsing to the ground beside you.
Both of you are panting heavily and he reaches for your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours as you both catch your breath and stare up at the stars.

You pressed your cheek to his leather as he rode through the night, your fingers clutching at the leather around his waist.
You couldn’t quite explain the mixture of emotions that ran through your body as you rode.
Making love with Jax had been everything and more than you could have ever imagined and you were still coming down from that high.
You had both laid beneath the stars for a while, lying naked on the grass.
Jax had helped you dress yourself and plucked leaves from your ruffled hair.
Neither of you had spoken much, but it wasn’t awkward or uncomfortable.
And as you drove closer back into town the reality of what had happened began to hit you in waves.
As the wind swept your hair out behind you a tear rolled down your cheek and you didn’t bother to wipe it away.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Are you sure about this, (y/n)?” Your real estate agent asked you.
You rolled your eyes and smiled at him from across the desk.
“For the millionth time, I’m sure.” You told him.
“We could get more for the property if you wait til the report comes back. It wont take more than a week.” He told you, a hint of concern in his voice.
“I know, Jeremy. But I need the house sold, like now.”
“Alright, whatever you say (y/n).” Jeremy said and shuffled the papers on the desk.
“I’ll get the ads up and the paperwork sent off right away.”
You smiled and stood, smoothing down your skirt.
“Thank you.”
Jeremy stood too and walked towards the door of his office before opening it for you.
You lifted your handbag off the chair next to you and swung it on to your shoulder.
“I’ll be round this afternoon to put the ‘For Sale’ signs up.” Jeremy told you.
You smiled and thanked him before walking past him and out of the office.
As you walked you felt your handbag vibrate and you sighed as you pulled out your cell phone.
He was trying to call you, again.
You hit ignore.
That makes it eight missed calls from him. Since you’d woken.
You’d lost count of the amount of times you’d hit ‘ignore’ to Jax’s calls in the last few days.
The last thing you needed was to hear his ‘we’re better off as friends’ speech.
So you saved him the bother and you’d been ignoring his calls ever since he’d left your house that night.
The next morning you’d woken and headed straight to the office,determined to get the house sold, and get the hell out of Charming.
You tossed your phone back into your bag and continued walking to your car.
You fumbled with the keys and eventually unlocked your door.
After sliding in and sticking the keys in the ignition you wound down the windows and turned the radio on, letting the music fill the air.
Your car pulled out of its park and you drove along the street before stopping at a red light.
Seconds past and thats when you heard it.
You could always hear them before you saw them and you gulped and gripped the wheel.
In a matter of seconds a dozen bikes sped past you and you recognised each member that passed.
None of them saw you, however and you were glad.
But that still didnt stop your heart almost beating out of your chest as Jax sped past you followed by his brothers.
Finally the light turned green and you drove on.
You needed to get out of this town, and quick.
The rest of the day passed quickly.
You had spent your time doing touch-ups on the property after you had bought some paint down town, and a camp chair too, so now at least you had something to sit on.
Paint splatters covers your grey tank and speckled your cheeks but you didn’t care. The only person you were seeing today was Jeremy, and he had just left after erecting the ‘For Sale’ sign on the front lawn.
You were lucky he put up with you, really. He had your best intentions at heart and wanted you to get the best price for your fathers property.
But money was the last of your concerns. You just wanted it sold.
So you had argued and argued and finally he had agreed to put the ads out at a generously reduced price.
The house was a steal.
It wasn’t in the greatest of conditions but for the price you were asking for, you knew the buyer wouldn’t care.
A bargain.
You heard a knock on the door faintly over the blasting noise of your music.
A frown came to your lips and you knelt, resting your pain brush on top of the bucket.
You hadn’t heard any bikes pull up yet you still didn’t feel completely relieved.
Its probably just Jeremy. You told yourself as you walked through the house.
You quickly turned the volume down on your portable speakers and walked to the door.
As you reached for the handle you wiped your hair out of your face and swung it open.
It wasn’t Jeremy.
It was Gemma fucking Teller.
She stood leaning against the wall, her oversized sunglasses framing her face.
You sighed when your saw her pursed lips and you crossed your arms over your chest.
“What do you want, Gemma?” You asked.
She would have to be deaf to not hear the attitude in your voice and she raised her eye brows at you.
She paused before speaking, taking in your messy bun and your paint splattered face and clothes.
“That how you answer the door to all your visitors?” She asked coolly.
“Only the ones I don’t wanna see on my doorstep.” You bit back.
You had no right to be so catty, really. Gemma had done nothing wrong, and neither had Jax. It was you that had cut all contact yet you still felt irritated having her turn up like this and you knew she was about to give you one of her famous lectures.
She smirked slightly at your words and lifted her sunglasses, letting them sit on her head.
“There a reason you’ve been avoiding phone calls?” She asked you, her dark eyes watching you closely.
“Been busy.” You shrugged.
Gemma sighed and stepped closer.
“Listen here, missy. I don’t know what happened between you and Jackson. But you have no right to turn up in this town after all these years and break his heart all over again.”
You glared at her but she didn’t budge.
“You owe him an explanation at least. Dint you dare leave town without telling him exactly why you came back just to rip his heart out.”
Her words cut through you like ice but you didn’t let her see it.
Instead you sighed and rolled your eyes.
“Get off my porch, Gemma.”
She looked you over once more before pushing off the wall and turning her back.
She took two steps before she stopped.
“He loves you. Remember that.” She said over her shoulder before walking down the steps towards her car.
You closed the door quickly and pressed your back against it, looking around the empty room.
Fucking Gemma Teller and her fucking lectures.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Two days had passed since Gemma had turned up at your front door, and it had been a week since that night with Jackson.
You sat alone in the diner, staring at the plate of food in front of you, poking it gingerly with your fork.
The phone calls had become less frequent but they hadn’t stopped, yet you still hadn’t found the courage to answer any of them. Not even Opies calls.
“Something wrong with the food, darlin?”
You glanced up and saw the waitress standing by the booth, a look of her concern on her face as she looked at the plate of food in front of you, untouched.
“Not at all. Just not as hungry as I thought.” You told her and smiled warmly.
She smiled back at you and left you to your own misery.
You sighed and left the fork on the table, resting your chin in your hand and your elbow on the table and you glanced into the street.
Even at night time Chamring still had a certain spark about it.
The streets, illuminated with street lights and neon signs in windows, the smell of fried food filling the streets.
Gemma was right, of course. You knew you couldn’t leave with out talking to him.
You didn’t even really know why you were ignoring him at all.
Someone had placed an offer on the house today and Jeremy had called you excitedly, knowing your be glad to hear of the progress. But you hadn’t been.
The offer was more than you were asking for yet you couldn’t bring yourself to go down to the office and sign off on the papers.
There was something you had to do first.
You sighed and slid out of the booth and after tossing a twenty dollar tip on the table you left the diner.
You had driven down but you didn’t head to your car.
It was only a short walk to TM,and you could use the time to figure out exactly what you were going to say.

The walk had been a good idea, giving you a chance to clear your mind and as you walked into the TM lot a wave of confidence washed over you.
You saw the row of bikes lined up and the light filling the lot from the open doors of the garage.
Music pumped through the walls of the clubhouse,but it wasn’t loud enough to signify a SAMCRO party, which you were relieved about.
As you walked silently into the lot you could hear the faint banter and smell of weed and almost instantly the nerves returned.
No one had seen you yet, and you knew it wasn’t to late to turn around.
But you couldn’t bring yourself to stop your feet from moving and gradually you turned the corner to the picnic table.
Jax sat with his back facing you, but you could recognise his blond hair anywhere.
Opie sat beside him and opposite them sat Juice and Tig.
All of them talking amongst themselves, puffing on cigarettes and joints and sipping on beers ad whiskey.
You fumbled with your fingers.
Juice spotted you out of the corner of his eye and he turned to you, smiling warmly.
Eventually they all saw Juice looking at something and all of them turned.
You felt so small, so fragile when those blue eyes fell on you and for a moment you forgot you weren’t alone.
Silence fell and Jax closed his mouth tightly.
The rest of the men stood and Juice and Tig headed inside, nodding to Jax.
Opie walked to you and kissed your cheek before heading inside, leaving you alone with Jax.
He turned his back to you and took a long swig of his beer.
You forced your feet to move and you slowly walked towards the table before sliding onto the bench opposite him.
Jax took a long drag of his cigarette, and you watched him blow it out.
He still didn’t look at you or say anything and you twiddled your thumbs in your lap.
“How are you?” You asked quietly.
Almost instantly you regretted saying anything at all.
Jax glanced at you with a raised brow.
“How am I?” He repeated.
You blushed and gulped, unsure of how to respond.
Jax scoffed and rubbed his hand across his face.
“Jesus Christ, (y/n). What are you doing here?” He asked you. There was a coldness to his tone and you shuddered slightly.
“I.. I thought we should talk.” You said quietly.
“Now you wanna talk? I tried calling you. A million fucking times. But now you wanna talk?” Jax snarled now and you could definitely sense the anger radiating off him.
You stood and dropped your hands.
“This was a mistake.” You said.
“Typical. You cant keep running forever, (y/n).” Jax said.
You had only taken a few steps when he spoke and you stopped.
“I shouldn’t have come back.” You said and Jax spun in his seat.
His nostrils were flared and you knew he was angry.
“So why did you?” He asked and he stood.
“You know why.” You told him and you felt tears rising behind your eyes.
“No. I don’t know. You could have sold the house from the city. We both know that. So why’d you come back? Why now?” He stepped closer to you, narrowing the gap between you and you stepped back.
You didn’t know how to answer him.
“It doesn’t matter why, Jax. The house sold. Im leaving again, so you can just pretend this never happened.” It wasn’t exactly a lie. You had an offer on the house, all you had to do was sign it over.
Jax scoffed and shook his head before looking at you once more.
His blue eyes were filled with fire and you shuddered under his gaze.
“So thats it, huh? Your just gonna forget about me and you?!” Jax snarled, his voice rising.
You stepped back once more and your back hit the wall.
“I could never forget about you, Jackson.” You spat back.
He smirked evilly and moved closer, placing his hands on the wall either side of your head.
“So what, you just wanna fuck me and leave, huh?”
You gulped and glared at him.
“Atleast you got what you wanted.” Jax snarled and turned, walking away from you.
You clenched your fists.
“Fuck you!” You screamed. God, it made you angry that he was right. You had treated him like shit all these years, and especially this week.
Jax shook his head and continued walking.
“You wanna know why it took me so long to comeback?” You yelled.
Finally he turned back to face you and you stepped closer to him, your body shaking with emotion.
“Because I fucking love you, you idiot!” You yelled. “I was so fucking terrified that if I came back you would have moved on, that you’d have an old lady. And i knew I wouldn’t be able to handle that. And yeah, maybe I shouldn’t have fucked you the other night. But i thought id do you the favour of ending things with me. We both know I cant stay here!”
Jax stared at you, his mouth slightly open.
You breathed heavily, and you had never felt more vulnerable that you did right in that moment.
“What did you say?” Jax asked slowly.
You scoffed ad turned around.
“Forget it Jax. I’ll be out of town by the end of the week.”
Your footsteps were rapid as you walked away from him and you didn’t hear him call after you.
Suddenly though, you heard heavy footsteps behind you and before you could react he grabbed your wrist and spun your body to face him.
His hand gripped your face and he crashed his lips against yours.
For a moment you let him in, let him kiss you so desperately.
But you quickly came to your senses and you shoved him away from you with all your force.
“I love you.” He said quietly.
You froze, only your eyes moving to meet his.
“What?” You whispered.
“God, (y/n), I love you. I have since you left.” Jax said.
A tear escaped your eye and you let it roll gently down your cheek.
“It broke my heart when you left. And Ive been with other women, lots of them. But every women I have ever been with, I have seen you. Its always been you.”
His words echoed in your ears and you stared at him as tears rolled down your cheeks.
You stepped closer to him and he reached his hand out, letting his finger gently wipe away the tears.
“I cant lose you again.” Jax whispered.
His blue eyes glistened with his own tears and you gulped before you stepped closer and reached up to kiss his lips.
“The house didn’t sell. I only got an offer.” You told him truthfully.
Jax grinned and shook his head slightly. He reached his hand out and swept your hair behind your ear before holding your face gently, his thumb stroking your cheek.
“Dont sell it.” He told you. “Stay here, in Charming.”
“Ive got a job Jax, and an apartment-“
“So quit. We’ll find you work here. Please, (y/n), I cant lose you again.”
You looked into his eyes and saw the hurt you had caused him all these years, the begging.
Slowly, you nodded.
“Okay.”
Jax grinned and pressed his lips against yours.
“I love you, (y/n).  I really love you.”
You grinned back at your best friend, the love of your life.
“I love you too, Jax.”

Why Hawke Must Side With The Templars

Okay, I’ve needed to get this off my chest for a while.

This whole mage templar dispute thing - it’s driving me nuts. I was recently looking at statistics as to how many people sided with the templars vs those who sided with mages, and I just - ugh. There was an outrageous amount of people that sided with the mages - most in fact. Okay fine, I get why people sided with mages. I do get why, however, when I say I understand why, that does not mean, for any reason, that I agree with that decision.

And here’s why.

Let me first explain why I get why people sided with the mages - for Pete’s sake, I always play as a mage. They’re the freaking best, and I think their story is amazing.

I totally understand the mage oppression thing. Mages are being oppressed and treated completely unfairly by these templars. Meredith is fucking nuts, and the chantry is supporting it - or, in Kirkwall, becoming a neutral party which doesn’t help anyone.

Templars are out of control, and people view them as heroes, because propaganda and gossip coupled with horror stories about crazy rampant mages plague the streets. People see templars as the ones who can protect them. So, given this, as in any society, templars are given reign to be able to treat these mages badly, and people advocate for their imprisonment.

Mages are being unfairly ripped from their homes, and parents never to be able to see their children again is a huge issue. These mages are allowed little to no freedom, and they are basically kept in a Circle for their entire lives. They are even thought to be the Maker’s “unwanted” children, and are taught to feel terrible about themselves, which is completely wrong.

Mages are also thought to be able to snap at any moment, and that the majority are actually insane blood mages looking for newborn children to sacrifice. Now, the side that argues mage freedom is the side that firmly believes that these mages should be free because not all mages are like that, not all are crazy blood mages, and a lot of them are better people than most. They’re clearly at a disadvantage in society, and viewed as a major threat, which isn’t true of all mages. It’s unfair, and the fear that’s associated with these people is out of control.

For the most part - this is true! Most mages want nothing more than to live peaceful lives. I completely - TOTALLY understand that, and definitely agree.

If given freedom, these mages have power that could help so many people! They would also be much less likely to be prone to blood magic because they’ve been backed into a corner and have no choice. If they were given this freedom, mages would be able to thrive and wouldn’t go to such drastic measures to protect themselves, which templars CLEARLY provoke inside them.

Is that right? Is that a pretty good explanation?

Right, now listen to my side.

Mages. Are. Fucking. Dangerous. It doesn’t matter what anyone says about control. One of my absolute favorite lines from DA2 is Fenris’s quote that goes: “I have no doubt that mages can be good and decent men, able to resist temptation. But how many temptations do you wish to offer a man before he will give in?” This is the absolute truth for these mages. They are offered ultimate power every single time they close their eyes, or are backed into a corner. Some are stronger than others and are able to resist this, but there are many mages out there that are given this incredible power and have absolutely no idea what to do with it or how to use it - or worse yet, abuse it.

They’re dangerous. There’s no getting around that fact. They’re dangerous, badass, and extremely powerful. They are able to tap into the essence of the fade and create and do things that no normal man can - and when one says that a mage’s power is like that of a templar’s sword - a templar isn’t able to set an entire city on fire or summon an army of demons with a swish of his blade - whereas a mage has every ability to do so with a wave of their hand.

You cannot compare. You can’t.

Let me also make something very clear - there is so much evidence in Dragon Age lore that proves that not all mages are born with the innate willpower to be able to muster and master this power. Weak or strong, in either case, each is given the exact same amount of power. The weak cannot handle this power, and therefore fall prey to powerful demons - which result in death and destruction. The powerful, or even borderline powerful, have a much better chance at mastering this ability, and are therefore born with the ability to control magic.

Anyway.

Mages are susceptible to possession and summoning beings of great power, they are capable of burning down a city - a SINGLE man in one instance is capable of this destruction. And if one feels threatened, even a little, it takes but a slip of the mind to allow a demon to enter and turn them into an abomination.

Mages have power beyond comprehension, and a lot of it hasn’t even been explored yet. This exposure to the fade allows them this ability, and though there are those who are able to control this power, not every mage is like this. And therefore incredibly dangerous.

So, with that, it is no surprise that the Circle was created. And it makes SENSE. Come on people, the Circle is absolutely necessary. Mages are capable of being a danger to others and themselves! The Circle was meant to teach them how to control this. The Circle’s creation was meant to be a safe place for mages to practice their magic and master is so that they can eventually become successful citizens of Thedas without being a danger to themselves or others.

However, now the Circle is a prison, as the templars have turned it into that, and its former purpose has been skewed.

This is where the debate gets tricky.

The Circle is necessary, definitely, but it absolutely needs reformation. It cannot continue to treat these people this badly and lock them up. That’s why it’s so important that mages are put in these Circles and taught how to control their magic. And when they can, they can leave. That would be the most ideal set up. But it’s not like that, because people don’t trust them.

Which makes sense for the most part because of what they’re capable of.

Soooo, anyway, I need to get back on track here.

So, then this whole Kirkwall thing happens, and mages and templars are at each other’s throats, and finally Anders takes things into his own hands and blows up the fucking Chantry because it’s a neutral party and will inevitably incite rebellion.

Let’s break this down, shall we?

Meredith is pissed because she suspects blood magic in the ranks of the Circle, and Orsino has had it with her bullshit so he’s not taking it anymore. So they’re arguing.

At this point in the story, it makes sense for Hawke to wonder if Meredith is actually on to something, or if she’s just bullying Orsino. (In my opinion, sadly enough, I realized before it had even been revealed at the end, that the man who killed Hawke’s mother had been in cohorts with Orsino, so I would have supported the raid with that information) However, without that information, there would have been no evidence to support this raid of the tower, so the mages would absolutely have my support at this point.

Then, as Orsino goes to try and get help to calm the dispute, which I completely agree with, Anders blows up the fucking Chantry.

No…no…NONONONONONONONONONONO.

WORST THING YOU COULD DO MAN.

A mage, KILLED the Grand Cleric for ALL mages. He did it - in the NAME of mages.

He doomed them all, as Orsino said.

The line is so fragile at this point, that there is so little hope for mages.

But this line is where people tend to get confused who to side with - or not confused, because most people side with mages.

No, bad idea. Lemme tell you why.

I did at first, I actually was like - fine. Mages are oppressed, this needs to stop. I need to do what’s right for these innocent mages and defend them! -

- And then something happened.

During the fight, mages were turning into abominations and killing people. They were being either backed into a corner by templars, or they were using blood magic and summoning demons to protect them - but still killing people.

That was when I paused the game, sat back, and realized my mistake.

I see Anders’ bigger picture thing - but I saw an even bigger picture.

Think about this.

If you support/protect the mages - you are supporting and protecting BLOWING up the damn Chantry and all the Grand Cleric had done to keep peace, you are supporting this war and mages and that decision to kill those innocents. You’re supporting the mages who turn into abominations or resort to blood magic. You are supporting the right for mages to use their magic to kill people. You are supporting Anders. That is what everyone in Thedas would see, and therefore your credibility would be lost to the majority of the population.

So, after I thoroughly thought that through, I restarted the last bit of the game to change my decision.

I changed it because I saw the fact that in this situation, people would NEVER listen to my Hawke and what he had to say if he didn’t support the safety of the people as well as the Chantry. They wouldn’t listen to him because he would have been a mage protecting mages, and that’s all the people would have seen. The only respect he would have earned would be from the mages that fought for their lives and those who rebelled in the Circle’s throughout Thedas - and may I remind you, that is a VERY small population.

Hawke, as a mage, already gains a portion of respect from those people. What he needs is to earn the trust and respect from those who are not mages. He needs to show them that he will fight for THEIR safety and protect them from crazy mages who would blow up the damn chantry and kill thousands of innocents by turning into abominations or using blood magic.

THAT is where he needs to draw his influence.

Because of what Anders did, and HOW the war started, there was no chance that my Hawke was going to side with murderers. Because THAT, if you break it down, is exactly what he would have been doing if he sided with the mages.

Now that my Hawke is viscount of Kirkwall AND a goddamn mage, how much do you think the city respects that? He is their CHAMPION. The one who stood up for the citizens and vouched for the safety of the city. They BEGGED him to become viscount. What do you think he is capable of doing now that he is viscount? He can change the CIRCLE. NOW he has influence over these people who see a mage and RESPECT him! That is the type of mage that the people need to look up to and see to feel safe. That is where Hawke can make a change.

Instead, if you go the opposite route, the people chase you out with damn pitchforks and curse and spit at you.

Great. How much influence do you have now? Yes, he is someone that the mages respect, but that’s it. Everyone else would see him as a threat, just like the rebelling apostates.

My point is that Hawke, MAGE Hawke ESPECIALLY, should absolutely, in that situation, side with the Templars. He still doesn’t agree with Meredith, and he stands up to her by sparing the lives of mages who surrendered - WHICH GAINS THEIR RESPECT.

The all around benefits of siding with the Templars FAR outweigh the benefits of siding with the mages. If people took even two seconds to think about this, they would see that, no matter how you look at it, siding with the Templars and protecting the city is the right thing to do.

All that people see though, is the unjust that mages face, and they right away jump to this HUGE decision to start a war and side with the side that they think is innocent. Noooo, guys. NOT in this situation. This situation does not WARRANT that action! This PARTICULAR situation must have Hawke defend the people, so that they can see that this mage is a protector for all, and that he stands with the right and just and wants to bring justice to the Grand Cleric and all who died in the Chantry. THAT is what Thedas should see.

Mages need to be vouched for, I know that, and what they’re going through needs to be changed, and in the end, the war did start a movement for their fair treatment, but again, for this particular situation, siding with the Templars is the best way to go.

Hawke can still stand up and defend these mages afterwards, he can still draw his influence from being viscount and make changes through that. It’s not like he doesn’t have the chance now to do something about it - he still can! Especially now that he’s viscount - and someone that the people respect and praise for his actions to protect the city.

Think about it, if the Templars had blown up the Circle because they believe that mages were using blood magic and killing people, do you think I would have sided with the Templars?

Absolutely NOT.

Anyone would be able to see that what they had done was unfair and unjust and that they had gone too far. The people of Thedas would see that Meredith had gone mad, and that the templars were out of control, and therefore, this would have warranted Hawke’s action to side with the mages and bring justice.

What Anders did doomed the mages of Kirkwall and ruined chance for compromise.

Now, I can’t necessarily say what he did was…not without reason or didn’t end up serving a purpose, in that aspect I think what he did was necessary, but just because it was, this would mean that Hawke’s actions to side with the templars was also necessary. That’s tricky, I know, and one action would have to lead to the other. What Anders did ended up serving as the momentum mages needed to finally break free of the hold the templars had on them, so, as I said before, in a way this was necessary.

But so was Hawke’s decision to side with the templars.

If this doesn’t help you see the reasonable side to this - then I have no idea what will.

But yeah, that’s my side, the logic behind it had been thought through VERY thoroughly, and overall, this was the conclusion I came to-

As should you.

 Also, I’m open for request so if you would want to drop one in my askbox that would be great! :) I Love You All-

You groaned in annoyance as well as pain when you heard rapid knocks on your apartment door. You contemplated getting up from your cozy white sofa, a couple seconds later deciding you didn’t feel the need to do so.

“Door’s open.” Your raspy voice attempted to inform, only for it to crack when your throat tightened. You had taken a sick day off of work considering you were… well, sick. You think you got it from your younger sister who had the flu last week when she stayed a couple nights with you. A fun weekend with your sweet sister had turned into 2 days of care giving. Now, here you were sleeping the whole day and sweating like a pig. You didn’t know what you had, but you figured it was flu related, maybe even strep throat.

You heard your door handle wiggle around but never had heard your door open. As you stared at your white ceiling, you then heard another eager pound on your wooden door, causing you to instantly sit up in alarm.

“It’s locked, Hailey!” You heard a familiar voice inform you with a hint of amusement in their voice. The ends of your lips tilted upwards, knowing who would be waiting at your door.

You threw your legs over your couch, your bare feet smacking the fuzzy white carpet beneath you. As soon as you stood up, you momentarily clutched onto your stomach in pain, earning another groan from your throat. Your head was pounding, still needing to get used to all the blood pressure falling from being so used to lying down all day. You then wrapped your small fingers around the ends of your light brown cardigan, which hung past your butt, around your front frame, suddenly feeling cold.

You tiptoed to your front door, thankful that you lived in an apartment and the door was only around 8 yards away from the living room. You set one hand on the freezing door knob, keeping your other phalanges around your sweater. You gradually twisted the doorknob, attempting to move as little as possible. When you opened the door, you were met with Spencer Reid with his standard awkward smile and two Starbucks coffee in both of his hands.

“I heard you were sick today and decided to stop by after work to check on you,” Spencer stated, inviting himself in and making his way to your marble island in the kitchen so he could place the coffee’s on the counter. When you didn’t reply, only smirking to yourself, Spencer turned around and raised one eyebrow, questioning your silence. Normally, you always were the one to talk out of the two of you. Your best friend studied your face, taking in your weary and sickly appearance. You hadn’t noticed considering you were eyeballing your favorite coffee drink Spencer had gotten you.

“Hailey?” The tall doctor inquired, capturing your attention. Your hair was up in a messy bun, small strands of hair falling over your face. Dark bags were placed under your exhausted y/e/c orbs and your lips were slightly parted. Spencer smiled again, still keeping his eyes on you. You reminded him of a small child at that instance.

“Have you eaten anything?” Spencer questioned, casually strolling to the other side of your counter and turning his back on you so he could open the cupboards. You watched lazily as he grabbed a plastic cup and brought it to the fridge’s water dispenser. Once the cup was full of cool water, Spencer rotated back around and began taking steps towards you again. He handed you the glass of water, carefully making sure you had it in your hands before letting go of the cup. You shook your head violently, realizing that nothing but drugs and water had entered your stomach today.

Your friend sighed and examined your face, there was still makeup on your face, most of it being around your eyes from all the rubbing you had done. Spencer then brought his eyes to your living room, noticing all the blankets on your couch. No wonder why you hadn’t gotten any better.

“Hailey,” Spencer began, bringing his hazel eyes back to you, You stared up at Spencer, still a bit dazed from your nap earlier. “Can you go take a cold shower for me while I make you something to eat?” He quietly asked you, taking a step closer to your short figure. Spencer was 6’1 and you were only around 5’3, so looking up at him would result in neck cramps sometimes.

You stuck out your lower lip and sunk your shoulders as well as hanging your head low, landing on Spencer’s chest. You whimpered, not wanting to walk all the way up your stairs to your bedroom at the moment. Spencer noticed, his chest rising and falling much higher and deeper than usual.

“I-I guess I could carry you upstairs.” Spencer shyly suggested, awkwardly smiling when he felt your head go up and down on his chest. Without warning, you then lifted your head up as well as your arms like a little girl would when her parents would carry her. Spencer chuckled and then bent his knees so he could put one arm around your knees and the other around your torso. Without hesitation, Spencer hoisted you up into his arms, bridal style, causing a small shriek to escape your throat. The two of you completely forgot about the water, not noticing the fact that you had dropped the plastic glass onto the ground. You then rested your head on your best friend’s chest and snaked one arm around his head.

As Spencer carried his friend up the stairs, he kept his eyes on you the whole time. You looked so fragile and composed. Your eyes were closed, completely forgetting that you were in the arms of Spencer.

“Hailey,” Spencer mumbled, staring at the two of you in your bathroom mirror. He liked the reflection he saw. Carrying you while you lay asleep in his arms. He smiled to himself, now looking down at you. “Hailey, you need to take a cold shower.” Spencer insisted, bumping her with his arm. You opened your eyes, now gazing up at him. A simple nod and Spencer put you down, already missing your warmth in his arms.

Spencer rotated around, preparing to leave until he overheard a quiet whimper from behind him. He then stopped, turning half way around to see you standing there with your arms up in the air. He furrowed his eyebrows and swallowed nervously. He really hoped you weren’t gesturing what he thought you were. Your eye’s lit up, the amusement glimmering in your bright orbs for the first time that night. Spencer awkwardly chuckled, now knowing you were only teasing him.

“After you’re done, get dressed and come downstairs, I’ll have dinner ready.”

Spencer informed you before pacing away and closing the door behind him. You then smiled to yourself before getting undressed. Spencer didn’t have to take care of you but he was. You adored that about him, how warm hearted he was.

 After you took a frigid shower, which you despised, you got dressed in leggings and a red hoodie. You already felt better, now finding it more comfortable to walk. Your face felt refreshed and your body felt clean.

You still took small steps down the stairs, not wanting to make a ton of movement just in case your stomach ache decided to come back. You glanced up from the ground when you arrived at the bottom and didn’t see Spencer anywhere. Well, you had only looked in front of you, which was the kitchen, but when you turned your head to your living room you froze. You couldn’t believe your eyes. Before you was a fort that Spencer must have set up. When your best friend saw you standing there completely appalled. He dashed out of the fort and stood by your side.

“Feeling better?” The tall man asked, glancing down at you and mirroring your smile. All you did was nod before what happened next. You didn’t even see it coming. “Good, so I can do this!” Spencer whispered playfully before sweeping you off your feet and zooming into the tent with you in his arms. You giggled after a surprised scream escaped your throat.

Spencer leaned down, you still in his arms and then dropped you only a few feet off the ground and into a pile of pillows and blankets. You shrieked in astonishment, Spencer then landing right on his butt next to you. This was entirely unlike Spencer. You turned and looked at your friend who was now staring at you, a serious expression on his face, almost startling you.

Then, he brought your coffee in between your guys’ faces, causing you to snort and lift your shoulders up, a dorky thing you did when you tried to contain an obnoxious laughter.

“I should get sick more often.” You slyly mumbled, causing a chuckle from Spencer as he put his arm around you after handing you your coffee. You sunk into his arms, finding yourself completely dumbfounded when you felt Spencer’s lip on top of your head.

“I- I’m sorry,” Spencer muttered, not realizing what he did until now. You only blinked in shock before turning your head and lifting yourself up to Spencer’s level. You two stared at each other until you finally worked up enough guts to kiss his cheek. Spencer’s face immediately flushed 50 shades of red, you mirroring him.

The end of the night ended with you sitting on Spencer’s lap and binge watching all the Harry Potter movies until 3 a.m. Tomorrow, the both of you would be exhausted at work but it was all worth it. You fell asleep with Spencer’s arms wrapped around your waist while your back faced him, your head resting in the crook of his neck. Spencer didn’t fall asleep until he knew you were. He enjoyed taking care of you and hoped he would be able to do so again.

Plastic stars are pretty in the innocent, easily impressed view of a child who doesn’t understand the underlying mechanics of glow-in-the-dark paint or underpaid foreign workers. Dirk is a mechanic, he knows that. He knows about phosphors. He knows about broken labor laws. But in the blurred haze after an indeterminate sleep he’s content to simply lay back and bathe in artificial starlight.

Dex helping Bitty in the kitchen is such a regular occurrence lately that it takes Nursey a good couple of minutes to realize that Bitty isn’t actually in the room with them.

He stops short where he’s stooped down low in front of the open fridge, looking for leftover pie, and blinks up at Dex’s back. “Yo, where’s Bits?”

Dex doesn’t bother turning around from where he’s stirring something on the stove. “Class I think? Not sure.”

“So you’re just… cooking. By yourself.” Nursey stands up and lets the fridge door swing closed, pie forgotten.

“I keep trying to tell you guys it’s not a big deal,” Dex huffs. “All you have to do is–”

“–follow the instructions, yeah yeah, whatever. Why are you cooking?” Nursey narrows his eyes. “Is this for dibs?”

“Oh fuck off, Nurse. Unlike some people, not everything I do around the Haus is just because I–”

But lightning strikes Nursey’s brain then, and his eyes widen, a smirk creeping onto his face despite how fast his heart suddenly starts beating. “Oh dude, hold up, is it for a girl?
