Kaya (aka White-Starcloud’s mooncat ) (using my own name cause I’m lame like that).

As a child Kaya had always loved the idea of being able to use magic and someday become a strong mystic people would look up to. She practised hard and developed strong wind and fire magic as a result. As she grew older however she became more of an introvert and reserved person due to some personal reasons. To help her rather sickly mother she also practised healing magic. While it might not be as strong as some of the town’s best healers, it can still (hopefully) save a life in case of emergency.

She eventually left town and opened the Dragon Hill Tavern in the nearby mountain hills. While her focus is now more on her business, rather than magic, she still likes to use it regularly to make sure her skills don’t dwindle. While she doesn’t go to town often, she tries to visit her mother at least once or twice a week.

About the Dragon Hill Tavern

Dragon Hill Tavern is located by a traveller’s path in the mountains, surrounded by green hills and many small caves in nearby area. These hills and caves are home to many Dragonfly Dragons, hence the tavern’s name.

Due to its location, it’s a rather remote place and doesn’t get as many visitors as the taverns or pubs in & nearby town. As a result, rather than a tavern, it’s more known as a quick rest & drink stop for travellers. While the official opening hours are 6 pm- 2 am, it mostly depends on the visitors themselves. Early morning visitors have a rather high chance of being ignored though.

Those who frequent the tavern will get to learn that its owner loves collecting all sorts of weird, special or valuable artefacts. This can vary from paintings, cloth, jewellery, unknown objects, gemstones to even “information”. If you got no money on your hands you can try trading or if you’re looking for a certain special object, you might just be able to find it here. Will also safekeep objects for a certain price (unless highly dangerous or meant to be used for harmful purposes).

*Special: Good friends or trustworthy people can ask to adopt a trained Dragonfly Dragon (or maybe even receive one as a gift).

Dragonfly Dragons

These tiny dragons can grow up to 25cm (about 10 inch). Their name comes from their wings, which resemble those of a dragonfly. The tip of their tail resembles two leaves. Colors vary between green, beige/yellow, grey or brown hues.

They live in groups in the mountains and their main diet consists of small insects and sometimes fruit & nuts. They aren’t fond of too cold weather though so they mostly keep to the lower hills and caves. During snowy winters, you can find many of them seeking warmth inside of the tavern.

They are rather weak and can’t do any remarkable damage unless they attack in group, but in return are very fast and hard to catch. A well-trained Dragonfly Dragon makes a good and loyal companion and can get used to deliver letters.

Y’all seriously need to learn to fact check things you see on here.

1.) it wasn’t Disney who turned down Coco but DREAMWORKS.
and to those who STILL erroneously insist that Disney/Pixar turned down The Book of Life

2.) People getting mad at this:

Marigolds are traditional to our culture as well as to the holiday, ESPECIALLY in petal form. Not the best example but that’s like getting mad at different Christmas movies for using mistletoe.

3.) “Oh it’s the same plot.” Has anyone looked up the plot for this movie other than outright bashing it from the trailer?
“The footage, raw though it may be, spun a compelling story about Miguel, a sweet kid who loves music despite the fact that his abuelita banned music long ago, thanks to an ancient drama involving Miguel’s great-great-grandfather—a dashing musician—who walked out on the family. That musician, Miguel discovers at the start of the film, is his town’s most famous son: deceased film star and music supernova Ernesto de la Cruz. On the eve of Día de Muertos, Miguel breaks into de la Cruz’s mausoleum in order to borrow the famous skull guitar that hangs there so that he can enter a talent competition and convince his family to embrace music again. Once Miguel touches the guitar, he becomes something of a living ghost. His family can no longer see him, but Miguel can now see all of his dead ancestors—who look like fantastically decorative skeletons—crossing over a bright bridge made of marigold flower petals from the Land of the Dead. Looking for help and answers, Miguel travels to the Land of the Dead—a dazzlingly vibrant, stacked metropolis inspired by the Mexican city of Guanajuato—himself and sets off an adventure with trickster skeletal companion Hector to find the rest of his family, de la Cruz, and the answer to how he can fix this curse.”
You know how insistent Pixar is on always making original films. So don’t you think that they would continue that?

4.) “But the white director who thinks he knows everything because he’s been to Mexico.” That’s right, a white person who is not of Mexican/Latinx culture can not truly KNOW our culture simply by visiting it. And Lee Unkrich knows this fact. Which why he assembled a group for the sake of making sure the movie is culturally accurate, rather than him taking on that role

you know, a team of actual latinx. Including someone who was a huge critic of Coco, and is a critic of Disney, Lalo Alcaraz. He is most famously known for his response to the action of Disney attempting to trademark Dia de los Meurtos (which will be our next point). It’s not Alcaraz selling out. It’s him working together with the movie so it’s not just Disney trying to bring in more Latinx fans but rather creating what Unkrich’s true mission: “a love letter to Mexico.” This team along with many other Latinx creatives (like Adrian Molina who was originally just a writer and then promoted to co-director) and a fully latinx cast (again, as insisted by Unkrich), are working together to make it a Latinx piece of media. ( http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/12/pixar-coco-gael-garcia-bernal-dia-de-los-muertos-miguel )

5.) We all know and got rightfully angry at Disney for attempting to trademark Dia de los Muertos. This was due to the similar original name the movie had. As expected, it received intense backlash to which Disney quickly revoked the request to trademark. Unkrich was the first to vocalize that this was a mistake. This even leading to that point most likely has to do with him being a white man not of our culture, but this humbling experience is what really knocked that message into him and he began recruiting people like the ones in the above point to make sure that the movie itself is true to the people, culture, and holiday, in ways he himself could never fully grasp.

6.) It’s about the Day of the Dead like The Book of Life. My response to this is easy: look at how many movies are there about Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Valentine’s day, Saint Patrick’s day, etc.

7.) Gutierrez himself doesn’t want it to be a competition but as two wonderful films about one aspect of Latinx that will hopefully lead to more in the future.

I love The Book of Life, and is one of my favorite movies if I’m being honest. When it first came out I was filled with such pride and joy for many reasons. One of course for it being a gorgeously rendered film, but for it being such a positive and beautiful representation and celebration of Mexico. As someone who grew up only seeing white main characters, with people like my family and I as only side characters, it brings me such joy to see more media being produced in which Mexicans are the focus along with our culture (which is agreeably much more diverse than what is being tapped into). We still got a long way to go as Mexico is still only one group of Latinx culture, but we are witnessing the stepping stones of Hollywood beginning to reach out and representing this community by working with people of those cultures. The Book of Life will always have a special place in my heart, but I’m not letting my love of that movie keep me from supporting Latinx creators that are putting out Coco. I’m finally getting the representation that I craved as a kid and loving it.

Your Character’s Personality

Personality is the most important thing about your character.

So, whenever I see character sheets, most people just put a little paragraph for that section. If you’re struggling and don’t know what your character should say or do, what decisions they should make, I guarantee you that this is the problem.

You know your character’s name, age, race, sexuality, height, weight, eye color, hair color, their parents’ and siblings’ names. But these are not the things that truly matter about them.

Traits:

  • pick traits that don’t necessarily go together. For example, someone who is controlling, aggressive and vain can also be generous, sensitive and soft-spoken. Characters need to have at least one flaw that really impacts how they interact with others. Positive traits can work as flaws, too. It is advised that you pick at least ten traits
  • people are complex, full of contradictions, and please forgive me if this makes anyone uncomfortable, but even bullies can be “nice” people. Anyone can be a “bad” person, even someone who is polite, kind, helpful or timid can also be narcissistic, annoying, inconsiderate and a liar. People are not just “evil” or “good”

Beliefs:

  • ideas or thoughts that your character has or thinks about the world, society, others or themselves, even without proof or evidence, or which may or may not be true. Beliefs can contradict their values, motives, self-image, etc. For example, the belief that they are an awesome and responsible person when their traits are lazy, irresponsible and shallow. Their self-image and any beliefs they have about themselves may or may not be similar/the same. They might have a poor self-image, but still believe they’re better than everybody else

Values:

  • what your character thinks is important. Usually influenced by beliefs, their self-image, their history, etc. Some values may contradict their beliefs, wants, traits, or even other values. For example, your character may value being respect, but one of their traits is disrespectful. It is advised you list at least two values, and know which one they value more. For example, your character values justice and family. Their sister tells them she just stole $200 from her teacher’s wallet. Do they tell on her, or do they let her keep the money: justice, or family? Either way, your character probably has some negative feelings, guilt, anger, etc., over betraying their other value

Motives:

  • what your character wants. It can be abstract or something tangible. For example, wanting to be adored or wanting that job to pay for their father’s medication. Motives can contradict their beliefs, traits, values, behavior, or even other motives. For example, your character may want to be a good person, but their traits are selfish, manipulative, and narcissistic. Motives can be long term or short term. Everyone has wants, whether they realize it or not. You can write “they don’t know what they want,” but you should know. It is advised that you list at least one abstract want

Recurring Feelings:

  • feelings that they have throughout most of their life. If you put them down as a trait, it is likely they are also recurring feelings. For example, depressed, lonely, happy, etc.

Self Image:

  • what the character thinks of themselves: their self-esteem. Some character are proud of themselves, others are ashamed of themselves, etc. They may think they are not good enough, or think they are the smartest person in the world. Their self-image can contradict their beliefs, traits, values, behavior, motives, etc. For example, if their self-image is poor, they can still be a cheerful or optimistic person. If they have a positive self-image, they can still be a depressed or negative person. How they picture themselves may or may not be true: maybe they think they’re a horrible person, when they are, in fact, very considerate, helpful, kind, generous, patient, etc. They still have flaws, but flaws don’t necessarily make you a terrible person

Behavior:

  • how the character’s traits, values, beliefs, self-image, etc., are outwardly displayed: how they act. For example, two characters may have the trait “angry” but they all probably express it differently. One character may be quiet and want to be left alone when they are angry, the other could become verbally aggressive. If your character is a liar, do they pause before lying, or do they suddenly speak very carefully when they normally don’t? Someone who is inconsiderate may have issues with boundaries or eat the last piece of pizza in the fridge when they knew it wasn’t theirs. Behavior is extremely important and it is advised you think long and hard about your character’s actions and what exactly it shows about them

Demeanor:

  • their general mood and disposition. Maybe they’re usually quiet, cheerful, moody, or irritable, etc.

Posture:

  • a secondary part of your character’s personality: not as important as everything else. It is advised you fill this out after. Posture is how the character carries themselves. For example, perhaps they swing their arms and keep their shoulders back while they walk, which seems to be the posture of a confident person, so when they sit, their legs are probably open. Another character may slump and have their arms folded when they’re sitting, and when they’re walking, perhaps they drag their feet and look at the ground

Speech Pattern:

  • a secondary part of your character’s personality: not as important as everything else. It is advised you fill this out after. Speech patterns can be words that your character uses frequently, if they speak clearly, what sort of grammar they use, if they have a wide vocabulary, a small vocabulary, if it’s sophisticated, crude, stammering, repeating themselves, etc. I personally don’t have a very wide vocabulary, if you could tell

Hobbies:

  • a secondary part of your character’s personality: not as important as everything else. It is advised you fill this out after. Hobbies can include things like drawing, writing, playing an instrument, collecting rocks, collecting tea cups, etc.

Quirks:

  • a secondary part of your character’s personality, not as important as everything else. It is advised you fill this out after. Quirks are behaviors that are unique to your character. For example, I personally always put my socks on inside out and check the ceiling for spiders a few times a day

Likes:

  • a secondary part of your character’s personality, not as important as everything else. It is advised you fill this out after. Likes and dislikes are usually connected to the rest of their personality, but not necessarily. For example, if your character likes to do other people’s homework, maybe it’s because they want to be appreciated

Dislikes:

  • a secondary part of your character’s personality, not as important as everything else. It is advised you fill this out after. Likes and dislikes can also contradict the rest of their personality. For example, maybe one of your character’s traits is dishonest, but they dislike liars

History:

  • your character’s past that has key events that influence and shape their beliefs, values, behavior, wants, self-image, etc. Events written down should imply or explain why they are the way they are. For example, if your character is distrustful, maybe they were lied to a lot by their parents when they were a child. Maybe they were in a relationship for twenty years and found out their partner was cheating on them the whole time. If their motive/want is to have positive attention, maybe their parents just didn’t praise them enough and focused too much on the negative

On Mental and Physical Disabilities or Illnesses

  • if your character experienced a trauma, it needs to have an affect on your character. Maybe they became more angry or impatient or critical of others. Maybe their beliefs on people changed to become “even bullies can be ‘nice’ people: anyone can be a ‘bad’ person”
  • people are not their illness or disability: it should not be their defining trait. I have health anxiety, but I’m still idealistic, lazy, considerate, impatient and occasionally spiteful; I still want to become an author; I still believe that people are generally good; I still value doing what make me feel comfortable; I still have a positive self-image; I’m still a person. You should fill out your character’s personality at least half-way before you even touch on the possibility of your character having a disability or illness

Generally everything about your character should connect, but hey, even twins that grew up in the same exact household have different personalities; they value different things, have different beliefs. Maybe one of them watched a movie that had a huge impact on them.

Not everything needs to be explained. Someone can be picky or fussy ever since they were little for no reason at all. Someone can be a negative person even if they grew up in a happy home.

I believe this is a thought out layout for making well-rounded OCs, antagonists and protagonists, whether they’re being created for a roleplay or for a book. This layout is also helpful for studying Canon Characters if you’re looking to accurately roleplay as them or write them in fanfiction or whatever.

I’m really excited to post this, so hopefully I didn’t miss anything important…

If you have any questions, feel free to send a message.

a quick tutorial on how i set up my one note bullet journal !!

one note has recently released a new update so my version might look a little different, but it’s still reasonably similar so hopefully this is easy to follow (-:

obviously you can customise this as much as you like, but this is the base which i tend to follow lately. here are some of my older spreads as well:

How to Kill a Campaign Before It Starts

(Not actually one that happened to me, but being submitted with the blessing of a player involved who doesn’t get online much (Player 2, in this case).  This was the character generation session for a D&D 3.5 campaign.  This was back around 2004 or so, so there’ll probably be a bit of paraphrasing.)

Player 1:  *After rolling stats.*  Do you allow mulligans at all?

DM:  Nope.  What you roll is what you get.

Player 1:  Normally I have no problem with that, but you may want to make an exception, here.  *Shows rolls to DM.*

DM:  *Looks at rolls, shrugs.*  That’ll suck.

Player 1:  *Puts sheet with his rolls in the middle of the table, collects his dice, and stands.*  Well, maybe I’ll get to play with y’all some other time, hopefully under a DM who’s more reasonable.  *Walks out.*

Player 2:  *Picks up sheet, jaw drops.*  Dude, his highest roll was a nine!

DM:  Yeah, your point?

Player 2:  You know what, fuck this.  I’m not dealing this kind of bullshit.  *Stands.*

Player 3:  If [Player 2]’s out, I’m out.  He’s my ride, he’s the only way I can get here.

Player 4:  *While Players 2 and 3 collect their gaming equipment.*  Fuck no!  I am not soloing this shit!

(The DM just sort of stared and sputtered while all four players walked out before even getting as far as picking out feats or skills.  From what I’ve been told, he still thinks the players were being unreasonable.)

“We don’t call him Man-Ape,” executive producer Nate Moore told EW during our set visit. “We do call him M’Baku.”

The problem was self-evident. “Having a black character dress up as an ape, I think there’s a lot of racial implications that don’t sit well, if done wrong,” said Moore. “But the idea that they worship the gorilla gods is interesting because it’s a movie about the Black Panther who, himself, is a sort of deity in his own right.”

Director Ryan Coogler and his co-writer Joe Robert Cole (American Crime Story) borrowed some inspiration for the character from Marvel scribe Christopher Priest, who had an acclaimed 1998-2003 run on the Black Panther series.

“You learn that M’Baku is essentially the head of the religious minority in Wakanda and we thought that was interesting,” Moore said. “Wakanda is not a monolithic place. They have a lot of different factions.”

In Priest’s story line, M’Baku was enraged that his White Gorilla cult was outlawed, leading to a clash with the Panther. The character’s exact role in the film is still being kept under wraps, but the filmmakers confirm that M’Baku and his Jabari tribe are, once again, not happy with the young, new ruler (played by Chadwick Boseman).

“A lot of the writers who did some of the most interesting work around the character, they treated Wakanda like a truly African country,” Coogler said. “When you go to countries in Africa, you’ll find several tribes, who speak their own languages, have their own culture, and have distinct food and way of dress. They live amongst each other, and together they make the identity of those countries. That’s something we tried to capture. We wanted it to feel like a country, as opposed to just one city or town.”

M’Baku has a grievance with T’Challa, but he and his followers were equally unsettled by the previous king, T’Challa’s father T’Chaka — who was assassinated in Captain America: Civil War after trying to engage with the world beyond the closed-off, technological paradise of Wakanda.

“In M’Baku’s worldview, T’Chaka made a huge mistake going to the U.N.,” Moore says. “‘We should never engage with the outside world. That’s a terrible mistake. And if his son is anything like his father, I don’t support him being on the throne.‘”

“Man-Ape is a problematic character for a lot of reasons, but the idea behind Man-Ape we thought was really fascinating. … It’s a line I think we’re walking, and hopefully walking successfully.”

“In this movie, it’s a little tricky to define who’s a [good guy],” Coogler says. “The film very much plays with those concepts, looking at conflicts and different motivations, and who’s with who. M’Baku is a really interesting character, and I’m excited for people to get to see him.”

I just had the most random thought that I now really want to happen.

let me set the scene. the squad is at school, as usual, and marinette, for some reason, has alya’s phone. (wouldn’t put it past her to take someone’s phone considering her track record ayy lmao) she’s taking selfies on it, some super cute but most just pulling incredibly dumb faces.

then, on the cusp of one hella gorgeous photo where she looks like an actual angel, sunshine boy™ adrien agreste comes over from behind with a friendly and slightly awed* “hey marinette!”
(*he’s a one woman man, of course, but dang. she looked real cute in that almost selfie. can ya really blame him?)

she sees him in the phone screen and she’s shook. her expression transforms into one of pure unadulterated joy and somewhere in the seconds that pass instantaneously and yet feel like hours, she captures a photo right then. he’s in the background, looking incredible as always, and her eyes have just shifted toward him, and her expression is lovestruck. like, undeniably so. but something happens in the moment that prevents her from even noticing or looking back on the photo, and she gives alya her phone back later without having even seen said glorious selfie.

then alya. oh, alya. being the wonderful friend and impeccable wingman she is, she spams the squad group chat (bc don’t even try to tell me they don’t have one) with several of marinette’s selfies, pretending to be mad about mari taking her phone. but they’re all stunning photos, of course. and (, of course, ) the one is included. adrien sees the photo and.. oh dang. has this always been a thing? has this always been her beautiful reaction to simply seeing him? is there a reason she’s so happy? and how has he literally never noticed such elation on her face before?

he messages nino immediately. ‘dude. this photo. marinette looks really happy to see me?? I mean, it looks like she does anyway- maybe I’m reading into it. does this mean anything? is she normally this excited to see her friends?’

nino’s reply is instantaneous.

‘dude. DUDE.’

'what?’

'are you actually that blind? pay attention to her expressions and mannerisms the next time u see her. hopefully you’ll understand. we’ll see.’

he follows nino’s instruction and after surprisingly very little time at all, it hits him like a ton of bricks.

she does not, in fact, act this way around all her friends.

that spark of light in her eyes, that elated smile; those are marinette specials reserved for very few things. raspberry macarons, fashion, and apparently:
himself.

“plagg, I think.. I think marinette dupain-cheng likes me.”

Imagine Chris making you feel safe.

A/N: Inspired by the terrifying IT trailer I watched earlier today, that’s still seared in my brain actually. If you don’t like scary movies or clowns, don’t watch it. Learn from my mistake, we don’t all have Chris to make us feel safe. 😂

Chris walked out from the bathroom and raised an eyebrow at you; you were watching something on your iPad that you were holding at arms length and on mute. He chuckled which made you flinch as you looked up at him. “What are you doing?” He laughed when you did, walking over to join you on the bed.

“I’m watching the new IT trailer,” you told him and you heard him heave a sigh. “What?” You giggled when he shook his head at you, chuckling. “It’s on my Facebook wall and it started playing as I scrolled past it, and you know me- I’m a very curious person.”

“You’re also a very timid person when it comes to scary movies, so don’t watch it.” He instructed as he picked his book off the bedside table to read a little more before bed. “Aren’t you needy tonight?” He teased as you forced your way into his arms, resting your head against his chest; his arm wrapped around you and rested lazily against your thigh.

“I’m always needy,” you lifted your head to kiss his jawline and he smiled, pulling you closer to him as he returned his attention to his book. Truth be told, you just wanted to be closer to him while you finished watching that terrifying trailer. “That looks like a very good book, babe,” you glanced back at him, testing the waters to see how immerse he was in his reading before you continued watching the trailer.

“Mm hm,” he hummed in response and said nothing more.

You smiled as you turned back to your iPad and pressed play, you held it a distance away from you and watched the horror continue to unfold. Even on mute, you were absolutely terrified because Chris was right; you were timid when it came to scary movies which was why the two of you never watched them during movie nights. You tried hard not to flinch or react too harshly because you knew Chris would scold you, but you couldn’t help yourself when the clown pounced at the camera. You yelped and jerked away from the iPad, tearing Chris’ attention from the book and onto you.

“I told you not to watch it,” he recited almost monotonously because he’d already expected you to. “Now what?” He quizzed, an amused smirk on his lips as he watched you pull away from him to put your iPad aside. “Are you going to spend the whole night asking me to check out every creak and thud?” You rolled your eyes as you took off your glasses, tucking yourself into bed; beside you, Chris tried hard not to laugh as he continued to tease you. “‘Cause I will not be doing that, especially not when I have an early morning meeting tomorrow.”

“I’m perfectly fine, Captain,” you retorted, turning your back towards him as you tried to go to sleep. “It wasn’t even that scary.” It was terrifying and you could still feel your heart pounding. “And it’s unrealistic anyway, clowns are- they’re dumb.”

“Mm hm,” Chris tried not to laugh; he knew you were terrified. “Well, since you’re not scared and you’re going to bed- I hope you don’t mind me finishing the book downstairs.” You felt the weight on the bed shift and you quickly sat up; your head snapped in his direction so quickly that it nearly gave you whiplash.

“Why can’t you just finish your book here?”

“Because you’re going to sleep and I don’t want to disturb you.” He was trying hard not to laugh as he leaned forward and kissed your forehead. “Goodnight, baby.” You huffed and laid back down, pulling the covers up to your chin. “Don’t let the clown demons get you,” he sang song as he walked out of the bedroom, turning off the lights as he left.

“Hilarious!” You called and heard his laughter follow him downstairs. “It’s just a trailer, Y/N.” You mumbled to yourself and closed your eyes. “It’s fiction. Stephen King writes fiction, it’s not real.” You heard a thud on the roof and your eyes shot open. “It’s probably just a rat, or a bird. Relax, Y/N.” You heard scuttling against the hardwood floor and you buried your head under the covers. “But you’re a writer and writers write from experience which means-” A blood curling scream escaped your throat when you felt something jump onto you; it was only Dodger, but you were too deep in your own imagination to realize that.

“Y/N?!” Chris scrambled upstairs; his rational side told him he had nothing to worry about, but like you- he caught a glimpse of the trailer and had a vivid imagination. “Fucking hell,” he cussed when he turned on the lights and saw you hugging Dodger with a sheepish look on your face. “Are you trying to give me a heart attack?”

“If you didn’t leave my side, we wouldn’t have this problem.”

“If you didn’t watch the trailer, we wouldn’t have this problem.”

“Can you just stay here?” You asked with an adorable pout and he chuckled softly, holding out a hand. “What?” You quizzed as he walked over, taking your hand and pulling you out of bed. “Where are we going, Chris?” You asked when he tucked your arm under his, leading you out of the bedroom.

“I thought you’d like to join me while I make a round of the house and check all entry points,” he told you and you chuckled, hugging his arm tightly. “That way you’ll believe me when I say everything’s locked.” Your grip tightened around his arm when thunder crashed outside; Chris chuckled and kissed your head. “Scaredy-cat,” he mumbled into your hair.

“I am not,” you yanked your arm out of his and crossed your arms over your chest.

“Okay,” Chris held up his arms in mock surrender and walked ahead, padding down the staircase with you following behind him. Your whole body flinched when another roll of thunder roared, but it wasn’t until you heard a thud come from behind you that you rushed back to Chris side and slipped your hand in his. “Yeah,” he chuckled softly, entwining his fingers with yours. “You’re very brave.”

“Why did you let me watch that trailer?” You frowned at him then scanned your vicinity warily, flinching at another stroke of thunder. “You know how bad I am with scary movies,” you scolded and he scoffed with an amused smirk, “especially when there are clowns involved. I hate clowns, Chris. They’re so- Oh God!” You yelped, making Chris jump too. “It’s just our reflections,” you chuckled sheepishly when he frowned at you.

“I told you not to watch it, but you’re so God damn stubborn that you watched it anyway.” He pulled you along as he checked the front door. “And of course I know how much you hate clowns, you practically had an anxiety attack when that clown tried to approach you in the lobby of that hotel we stayed at in Malaysia.”

“What kind of hotel has clowns as entertainment?” You argued as you shuddered at the memory. “Nobody likes clowns, they’re creepy and they’re not even that funny.” Chris chuckled as he moved on to check the sliding doors that led out to the backyard. “There’s a reason people use clowns as serial killers and possessed demons, Chris.”

“Relax, baby,” he chuckled and squeezed your hand. “It’s just a trailer, okay? It’s fiction, you have nothing to worry about. Look, we’re checking all the entry points- there is nothing and no one that can get in here tonight.” You huffed and he chuckled again, “if you don’t trust grade-A locks, at least trust your grade-A boyfriend. I’m not going to let anyone get to you, I’m Captain America for a reason. Hm?” He poked you in the cheek and waited for you to crack a smile; it didn’t take long. “There we go,” he smiled. “You’re okay, I’ve got you.”

“Let’s check the back door and go to bed,” you said and he nodded, taking lead with you slightly behind him. You bit back your smile as you watched him check the lock. It never once ceased to amaze you that he would do whatever he needed to make you feel safe, even if the reason you felt unsafe was irrational and stupid. Any other guy would’ve just told you to stop being an idiot, but not him; Chris always accommodated you and your overactive imagination, and that was one of the many reasons you loved him.

“We good?” He quizzed and you nodded, smiling. “Okay,” he lifted your hand to his lips and kissed it. “Let’s go to bed.” He said, pulling you alongside him as the two of you made your way back upstairs. “Hopefully you can sleep soundly now that you know you’re safe, and now that it’s raining.” He looked to the ceiling, smiling at the soothing sounds of the rain falling against the roof. “I know how much you like sleeping to the sound of rain.”

“I do,” you smiled, hugging his arm. “And I always know I’m safe around you,” you told him and he smiled. “Like you said,” you poked his side, “you’re Captain America for a reason, right?” He chuckled and scooped you into his arms, bridal style. “Chris!” You laughed, wrapping your arms around his neck.

“Gotta keep you close to keep you safe, right?” He winked.

“Right,” you chuckled and tenderly pressed your lips against his.

so i just rewatched gotg vol 1 with autistic + adhd peter in mind and here’s my thoughts: (this is an ironically long post for someone with adhd making an adhd headcanon but i did super simplified bullets so hopefully it isn’t too hard to read)

  • no one ever thinks he’s listening because he doesn’t look like it. he doesn’t make eye contact and he’s always listening to music.
  • music is stimmy and comforting.
  • he’s touch averse so he hesitates taking his mom’s hand when she asks him to and regrets it for the rest of his life to the point that he can hear her voice when gamora’s telling him to take her hand.
  • he has meltdown after his mom dies
    • which is reasonable for anyone in that situation but him going from generally silent/really quiet to screaming out in raw anguish and having to be carried away from the room suggests meltdown to me.
  • he runs outside because it’s too loud and too much is happening and that’s when he gets picked up by yondu.
  • his helmet blocks out light and sound and he wears it whenever he’s overstimulated.
  • dancing/singing is totally a stim for him (which i feel hardcore, i dance and sing all the time even when it’s not Appropriate).
    • also he literally spins around and around during come and get yr love.
  • “I don’t learn. one of my issues.”
    • such an adhd thing. I’ve not learned from a single gotdam one of my mistakes.
  • music is a big comfort thing, so is his walkman.
  • “hooked on a feeling, blue swede, 1973, that’s MY SONG”
    • maybe he repeats the titles and bands of songs as as stim?? that’s definitely part of his SI in music though, memorizing info about the songs he likes
  • he’s panicking in prison bc sensory overload, too loud too many people touching him,
    • when he’s getting dressed he looks like he’s in pain maybe bc the clothes feel bad and wrong.
  • “the guards will protect her, right?”
    • could be black and white idea of morality?? that’s the Right thing to do so why wouldn’t they do that??
  • helping gamora bc hyperempathy.
  • he’s bad at small talk and can’t tell when he’s over sharing
    • “oh. you don’t care”
  • doesn’t get that slicing throat isn’t a universal symbol, then explains the symbol and that it’s a metaphor in earnest probs bc he’s had trouble with them in the past.
  • “how are we gonna sell it when we and it are still here??”
    • bad at planning ahead and impulsive. doesn’t think things through.
  • “I was just kidding about the leg” “what?!”
    • didn’t realize it was a joke until after
  • panicking when his Walkman is gone, “wait wait wait” is maybe palilalia
    • he doesn’t even have time to explain, he just rushes off to get it because it’s Important. also he attacks anyone in the way of his comfort object.
  • tossing the orb as a stim. (throwing and catching stuff is good as long as you don’t drop it.)
  • echoing from pop culture (footloose metaphor).
  • “right right okay you’re right” is palilalia.
  • again with the hyperempathy, saves gamora even though he barely know her.
  • “I have a plan… I have part of a plan!….. 12% of a plan.”
    • totally adhd impulsivity.
  • “it’s a fake laugh!” could be read as he’s learned to identify emotions and he definitely knows that rocket is faking the laugh.
  • “we’re all losers. I mean. people who have lost stuff”
    • he’s really bad with words and trying to convey his emotions.
X-Men Preferences: Discovering Your Hobbies

Fandom: X-Men

Warning(s): just one word 😇😇😇

A/N: I should really work with other fandoms too but for some reason I just can’t get enough of my X-Men boys soo yeah…Perhaps another time! I am so tired today, but hopefully I’ll be able to get some work done. I hope you liked it! (currently working on some requests on Charles and Hank) 😊

Charles: At first, Charles liked to admire you as you took care of your plants. He couldn’t help but gaze at you, how perfect you looked surrounded by all that greenery. You treated them all with so much love and care that it was a precious image to behold. Soon enough, you got him to join in too as a way to rewind from all the things he had in his mind.

Erik:  When he found out about your love for solving puzzles, he was shocked to say the least. He wouldn’t stop teasing you, “And I thought I was the old one in this relationship.” or “So you hide an 80-year-old inside you. Good to know.” You bugged him so much about actually giving a try that he finally gave in, but let’s just say Erik is not one for things requiring patience.

Hank: That giant furball has two left feet so when he walked in on you dancing ballet so gracefully, he just froze on the spot. Ever since, he won’t stop grinning like an idiot every time you even put on your pointe shoes because according to him; “You…um…You look even more beautiful when you’re dancing and I didn’t even think that was…ahem…possible.”

Alex: Summers is all about sports and when he found out about your skills when it came to playing volleyball, he loved the idea immediately. It’s pretty much become a habit for the two of you to play together at least once a week. (Spoiler alert, it’s more like you playing and him losing because he’s constantly just staring at you because “Damn, you’re so hot in those shorts. Please wear them everyday.”)

Warren: Coming from a rich family, Angel learnt how to play the piano from a very young age but now he simply hates the idea, probably because in his mind it’s connected to so many unpleasant memories. But when you play your guitar, you are so passionate about it that he can’t help but be taken away.

Kurt: Your little blueberry was ecstatic to discover your love for finger painting and you didn’t even have to ask him before he joined in and you both looked like toddlers covered in paint. Your masterpieces always end up looking like a bomb of colors has exploded on them and they are so bad but you made them together and that’s enough to make you want to hang them everywhere.

The Only Exception (Part 8)

Summary: AU. Reader is given the task of running a popular love advice internet show when her coworker is fired. Her cynical attitude toward love makes her offer some harsh advice, and more than a few hearts are caught in the aftermath. Will hers be one of them?

Pairing: Bucky Barnes x reader

Word Count: 2,733

Warnings: language, fire, panic, dangerous situation, rescue, drinking, bad jokes, I’m off the handle because I no longer care

A/N: If you don’t like it, don’t read it. After the posts I saw last week that personally attacked me…I wish some people put half as much effort into helping others and the earth as they do being genuinely awful.

Anyways, it’s fiction.

hi, do you have a post about binding safely? I want to show my mom so she can see that it's not unsafe if you do it right. thanks!

I did try my best to make a comprehensive but not too long Binding 101 post here - and one that can hopefully be read and understood by people who don’t bind & have no desire to bind themselves, at that!

Of course this post won’t include everything, but it should hopefully cover most of the basics. It may not be exactly what you were looking for though, because even when done safely, binding is not ever completely danger-free.

Why do people bind their chest?

There’s more than one reason to bind, of course, but the most common one among trans people is physical gender dysphoria.

The feeling of disconnect or dislike towards a part of your body can be hard to explain in word sometimes, especially since many people experience it in very different ways. But it is a feeling that is draining, that is painful, and that can do tremendous harm to a person’s mental well-being.

So, binding one’s chest in order to hide these parts of our bodies, both from ourselves and from others, can be a hugely relieving and freeing thing. And something that makes life so much more bearable and enjoyable.

How do people bind their chest?

There are many different ways to bind your chest, some more dangerous than others.

Ace bandages (and any other brand of similar bandages) and tape are a no-go if you want to keep yourself safe while binding. They are capable of messing you up pretty seriously even if you only bind with them for a very short time.

Some safer DIY options could be [sewing your own binder from scratch], [making one out of a camisole], [making one out of a pair of tights] or making one of out shapewear underwear [link 1] + [link 2].

However, the best option is to get a binder that is professionally made. [gc2b] is a company that makes binders specifically for trans people and it is where I have got my binders from, but [Underworks] is another popular place that a lot of people buy from. And of course there are many more aside from those two.

Wearing one (1) high compression sports bra in your right size can also be one way to bind you chest. Although keep in mind that they are not designed to be work for longer periods of time and that the lower band of it will put a lot of focused preassure on your ribs (while a binder will distibute it more evenly). Wearing multiple sports bras on top of each other, or wearing ones that are too small for you, is not safe.

When should you not bind your chest?

There are numerous medical conditions that could make binding very unsafe, so if you worry binding may trouble you for those reasons, it could be a good idea to talk to your doctor about it.

I personally have asthma and that makes binding a bit more dangerous for me than for non-asthmatic people, as my breathing is already a bit worse than it should be. So further restricting it by binding is something I would like to avoid doing, which is part of the reason I am working towards getting top surgery to have my breasts removed. Still, the possible dangers of binding are still worth it for me when I weigh them against the certain mental suffering that comes from not binding.

Even for people without medical issues though, there are times when you should not be wearing your binder:

  • When you sleep.
  • When you exercise*.
  • When you have already worn it for 8 hours**.
  • If you’re new to binding: when you are alone***.

*Some companies like Underworks sell [binders specifically made for swimming] and [gc2b have said that their binders are ok to swim in too]. You should still be very careful when swimming in a binder though, as it does restrict your breathing and movment a bit. And be sure to wash the binder you swim in regularly, as having chlorine left in it can irritate your skin.

**The given maximum of binding hours per day in one go is 8. But everybody’s body is different, so not everyone can safely bind for that long. Personally I can usually only manage 6 hours before my ribs start to hurt pretty bad. And it’s best to not start with trying to go for the 8 hours limit right away when you get your first binder; it’s better to start binding for a smaller amount of time in the beginning and the gradually increase it over time, to allow your body time to adapt to it.

***Binders can be difficult to get out of on your own sometimes, especially in the beginning when you haven’t yet figured out the best way to do it. So in the beginning, it is best to only bind when you have other people around that can help you out of your binder in case you would need help getting it off.

How do you take care of your binder?

Binders will get worn out over time, just like any other piece of clothing. However, it may be more noticable in binders than in regular clothes, as their compression ability will visibly get worse and worse the more worn out it gets. Getting a new binder about once a year is usually recommended, but it really depends on how much you wear it.

You should wash your binder regularly. Doing this might actually help it last longer, depending on the style of it.

Some have tags that say they are machine-wash safe, in which case you could absolutely wash them that way. But personally I always handwash mine, just to make sure they’re not unnecessarily damaged.

I use a small amount of mild detergent and cold water. Spend a lot of time rinsing it out afterwards with just water, to make sure there is no, or at least no big amount of, detergent left in it. Then I carefully scrunch it up into a ball to get as much water out as possible (don’t twist, because you don’t want to stretch the fabric) and then hang it on a hanger over the bathtub to let it drip and dry completely overnight.

For the style of binder I have (the gc2b ones), washing it regularly in cold water helps the fabric retain some of its elasticity. Which is something that can help it bind better for longer.

It may be ideal to wash it after everytime you’ve worn it and sweated in it, to prevent it from irritating your skin, but washing it just once a week is enough if you can’t do it more often than that.

What are the dangers of binding your chest?

Binding will inevetably wear out the elasticity of your skin and the breast tissue in your chest area after a while. How long it takes varies from person to person, as everybody’s body is different. But you will likely notice some difference within the first year if you bind a lot. This has little to no known actual dangerous side-effects in itself, but it will make your chest sag more and may affect how the result of top surgery looks if you plan on getting that in the future, as well as affect what types of surgeries you can get.

Even safe binding will likely give you some aches in your ribs, back and shoulders. But it is still best to take your binder off and give your body a break once you start feeling pain.

Excessive and unsafe binding comes with a lot of dangers:

  • Difficulty breathing, which can lead to fainting and, if binder is not removed, suffocating.
  • Extremely irritated skin.
  • Damaged (bruised, sprained, brokwn) ribs.
  • Damaged ribcage.
  • Damaged lungs (if punctured by a broken rib).
  • Damaged spine.

These things can usually be avoided as long as you bind safely, however.

How do you know if the pain/side-effects you get from binding is normal or not? When should you be worried?

Listen to your body and learn to interpret its signals. Everyone has different pain thresholds and everybody’s body has different limits, after all. So you will need to learn your own.

But some general signs and side-effects, normal and not, are as follows:

Normal:

  • Sore arms, shoulders, neck and/or back. This soreness may linger for a a couple of hours after you take the binder off, or not show up until the day after. It should go away completely after 2 days without binding.
  • Getting a bit out of breathe after having climbed a set of stairs or similar. Although you should still be able to catch your breathe again without too much difficulty.
  • Some chafting under your arms.
  • Increased chest and back acne.
  • Slight anxiety caused by feeling restricted.

Not normal, take the binder off as soon as you can and see a doctor if the symptoms don’t go away within a couple of days:

  • Difficulty breathing, especially if even after you’ve taken the binder off.
  • Not able to take deep breathes, cough or sneeze.
  • Sharp pain in chest or ribs.
  • Lightheadedness, feeling like you’re about to faint.
  • Losing vision, having your ears ringing or getting a tingling sensation in your fingers, even if just for a moment. (Often signs that you are about to faint.)
  • Feeling too sore/too restricted/too tired to do everyday activities that you could do without problems before you started binding.
  • Numbness in arms.
  • Bruising.
  • Skin rashes.
  • Nausea during or after binding.

Not normal, go see a doctor as soon as you can, could be signs of a serious injury:

  • Any of the symptoms from the list above, if you are feeling very worried about them. Better safe than sorry.
  • Not able to breathe at all.
  • Blueness in your libs or fingertips.
  • Fainting.
  • Sudden intense bursts of claustrophobia and/or panick attacks, especially if you do no get those when not binding.
  • Noticable change in ribcage shape.

Wow, that’s a lot of dangers. Is it really worth it?

For many people, including me: yes.

Like I said in the beginning, there are many reasons for why people bind. But mine is dysphoria, so that is the only thing I can talk about here.

Dysphoria is not a joking matter. It is often a very intense and painful kind of suffering. And taking these risks is often still better than having to deal with the dysphoria that we have when we are not binding.

This may be difficult to understand if you are not dysphoric yourself. But please try to understand that people would not knowingly be taking these risks if we didn’t feel like we needed to.

anonymous asked:

Can I resend my graves request about him falling for somebody he was initially irritated by? If this doesn't inspire you though then just ignore it lol 🙂🙂

Here you go! There will be time lapses! This turned out way longer than I expected lol

Master list

Imagine: Graves falling for you despite his original annoyance with you.

“Another screw up?” He asked, irritation clear in his tone. He didn’t understand what you were doing even working at MACUSA, week by week it was just another mistake of yours that slowed his work process down.

“Yes sir…” You dropped your head down, not wanting to meet his disappointed gaze. You admired Mr. Graves so much, he was the best of the best, and yet no matter how hard you tried nothing ever seemed to go your way.

The director tossed the folder of paperwork onto his desk, rubbing at his temples as he tried to figure out a way to correct the mistakes. The paperwork would take forever to go through now.

“Do you like your job, Ms, Y/N?”

You glanced up, eyes a bit wide at his sudden question. But, the beat of your picked up its pace and you worried so for your future here.

“I-I do, sir. Very much.”

He leaned back in his chair, kicking his boots up on the desk as he stared you down. “Then I suggest you start lessening your incessant need to make mistakes.”

The threat was evident on his voice, and you felt much like a child being scolded by a parent. This was torture, and you felt the beginnings of tears in your eyes.

“I promise to try harder, sir. I’m so sorry.” You bowed a bit, trying to show some respect before you moved to leave his office.

He watched you go, dark eyes following every movement as he thought deeply to himself. You were a constant headache for him, but he couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty over the dejected state you were in.

****

You rushed down the halls of the large building, apologizing to the other aurors as you bumped into them. You had just finished up all your reports and you were eager to hand them to Mr. Graves yourself. You had looked over every little detail, and even asked your friend for help to make sure nothing was missing. Hopefully, he’d be congratulating you this time…

“Mr. Graves!”

You opened the door to his office, smiling widely until you saw Madame Picquery standing there, stern look on her face. Just your luck that he would be having a meeting with the president.

“I-….” You blushed deeply in embarrassment, suddenly feeling very small.

Graves raised his eyebrow at you, letting out a sigh as he apologized to the president. She just waved him off, giving you a small smile before excusing herself. You watched her go, swallowing the nervous lump that had developed in your throat.

“I sincerely hope you have a good reason to be barging into my office without a knock.” He warned, taking a seat as he picked up his pen and began writing down some information.

“Well I…um…”

“Out with it…” He grew annoyed, tilting his head towards you in frustration.

“I finished my reports, sir. I just wanted to deliver them to you…”

He seemed slightly impressed by that, and he held his hand out for you to hand him the folders. He opened them up, clasping his hands together and resting his chin atop them as he read over your work. He had to admit, these were far more detailed than your last ones, and as far as any errors went he could find none. He closed the folder, not even glancing up at you as he continued his own work.

“Good job.”

As far as compliments from the director went, this was probably as good as it got, and you would take that. You smiled brightly, clapping your hands cheerfully as you thanked him for his time.

“Thank you, sir! I promise not to let you down again!”

You turned on your heel, and as you moved to open his office door you tripped over the trash can, barely catching yourself on the doorframe. The bang of the metal drum rang loudly through the halls and his office, making him look up at you.

You stood silently against the door, eyes screwed shut in disbelief of your clumsiness. You finally got a moment to shine, and then this. How perfect, you thought. With a sigh, you mumbled an apology and slowly walked out of the room after putting his trash can back.

Unbeknownst to you though, Graves had watched the whole thing with a small grin on his face that he hid behind his hands.

*****

Percival strode down the hallway, briefcase in hand as he headed towards his office, he was beyond exhausted. The last few nights trying to deal with an investigation had finally taken a toll on him, and all he wanted was to finish up his reports and head home. He turned the corner, stopping when he saw you walking into his office with a pile of papers. They were no doubt more paperwork on the case from the other aurors. With a heavy sigh he continued on, stopping in his tracks when he found you halfway under his desk. You were scrambling around, cursing to yourself about something he couldn’t quite hear.

“What are you doing?”

You squeaked in surprise, instinctively jumping back only to hit your head hard against his wooden desk.

“Ow!”

You held your sore head in your hands, trying hard not to cry at the pain.

“I was just…”

Truth is, you managed to drop all his folders when you came in. And your luck would have it that he showed up just now.

Graves looked down at the floor, gritting his teeth when he saw all the papers scattered about. He would’ve yelled just then, completely done with all the issues of this week, but when you looked up at him, cheeks stained red, and eyes looking as innocent as ever…he didn’t have it in him anymore.

He placed his briefcase on the desk, kneeling down next to you as he started to reach for the papers. You quickly started doing the same, trying to stop him from helping.

“Oh no, Sir! Please let me, it was my fault after all!”

As you went to retrieve one, your hands brushed, and you both froze. His fingers hovered just above your hand, yet the heat of his palm was still felt. Just then your heart skipped a beat, blood rushing to your face even more now and all you could do was stare down at your hands in wonder.

Graves looked up at you, his expressive eyes staring straight into your soul and making you fidget nervously. You should’ve moved, but his gaze held you in place.

He let his fingers trial softly over the back of your hand, sending a shock of electricity throughout both your bodies that even caught him by surprise. He held his breath for only a second, before he let his fingers slide off your hand and he grabbed the paper.

“Go get us some coffee. I’ll pick this up.”

You were somewhat at a loss for words, your heart was still beating madly in your chest and you stared up at him with a shocked look.

“Sir?”

“Coffee. Black.”

You nodded quickly and ran out of his office.

****

Graves chuckled softly at your words, taking a sip from his mug as he spoke.

“What kind of American doesn’t like coffee?”

You smiled sheepishly, organizing the papers in his filing cabinet. The past few weeks had been spent like this, and your boss slowly began to warm up to your presence. Ever since that brush of skin things had been different. Though he still made you nervous.

“I suppose that is un-American of me.”

“Hm.”

Graves watched you closely, eyeing you over the rim of his coffee mug as you leaned forward to put a paper away. He wasn’t sure how this happened, or even where it began. Somehow you worked your way into his very heart and it drove him endlessly mad. He was always far too busy in his career to even pursue romantic relationships. The furthest he’d go is taking a woman home and that’d be the end of that. Yet, you made him stop that all together. Perhaps it was the one night he shared with another coworker, only to look down and see your face moaning in pleasure beneath him. Whatever the case, he couldn’t bring himself to let you go. That’s why he invited you here so often, of course he never stated that though. He wasn’t sure how to further this…whatever it was.

Perhaps it was your clumsy nature that made him like you, it was rather endearing at times. You always got this embarrassed wide eyed look that made it hard not to smile at. Or maybe it was your eagerness to please him. You were simply cute, a breath of fresh air amongst the stern women he worked around.

He looked you over, running a hand through his slicked back hair as he took in every detail. From the way you hummed peacefully to yourself, to the way you bit your lip in thought. It was all so tempting a sight, and he’d be damned if any other man took that from him.

****

“Mr. Abernathy, that’s very kind of you but I’m not-”

“Oh come on, just one date?”

Your supervisor smiled at you, leaning over the front desk as he tried his hardest to convince you. But, you weren’t interested in him one bit, you knew his reputation around here after all.

“I really-”

“Abernathy, shouldn’t you be off supervising the wand permits?”

Graves leaned against the counter, glaring at the shorter man. Abernathy, ever fearful of the director, nodded quickly and rushed off down the hall, nervously looking back at you both.

You sighed in relief, giving Percival a grateful smile. “Thank you. He’s a very persistent man.”

“He’s a rat.”

You giggled at that, getting up from your chair as Graves motioned for you to follow him. The wall to his office was rather silent, and you kept stealing glances his way in wonder. You hoped you hadn’t done something wrong.

“Mr. Graves-”

“Percival is fine.”

A smile made its way onto your face, and you nodded happily at that. “Percival…is everything okay?”

He ignored that, and as soon as he stepped into the office with you he shut his door, grabbing your arm and pushing you against the wall. The papers you held flew everywhere, and you gasped as his lips descended onto yours.

“Mm!”

Your hands flailed around for a second, trying to comprehend what was happening. But, the warmth of his mouth on yours made you melt into the kiss, and you slowly let your eyes flutter closed.

Graves held you firmly against him and the wall, his hands trailing down your sides and resting on your waist. He had waited far too long to do this, and as your superior he should’ve thought it through a little more but right now he didn’t care. He pulled away, his warm breath brushing across your cheek as he spoke.

“What have you done to me…?”

FTM Makeup Tutorial

hello, im reese!!! today i am going to make a sorta useful tutorial on how to use makeup to help you achieve more traditionally masculine features and hopefully help pre-t trans boys and nonbinary people pass better. i hope you find this helpful!

first thing we’re gonna work on is EYEBROWS, which is usually the first thing people work on to achieve a more masculine face, but its not just about thickening eyebrows, in fact, its not about that at all. The only reason male’s eyebrows look thicker is because plucking them isnt standard, and their eyebrows are not ARCHED like feminine ones.

this is the difference between male and female eyebrows. Also, More straight eyebrows make the eyes appear more deep set, another masculine feature.

we’re going to want to make the eyebrows less arched, and more straight, by drawing over them in a way similar to this (excuse the microsoft paint)

already a bit more masculine! and you dont need to thicken up the eyebrows very much, coloring in the arches thickens them up wuite a lot.

eyes are very simple and optional, try some brown pencil eyeliner on either side of your waterline to make them smaller and more narrow, and apply some VERY LIGHT eyeshadow under your eyebrows to make your eyes appear more deep set

this will also make your eyes look slightly more far apart, but the difference is minimal and completely optional.

feminine and masculine lips are more similar then theyre made out to be, but you female lips have a more traditionally pink tint, whereas male lips are more flesh toned.

so applying a little bit of foundation over the edges of your lips should do the trick, along with some clear lip gloss so you dont look too washed out

VIOLA!

but wait, theres more!

now for the best part, countouring. masculine faces and feminine faces are extremely different shaped, with women’s faces traditionally more triangular, and men’s faces more angular

this is a fantastic reference, but definitely tone down the features and dont exaggerate as much as the images seen here, just follow the basic idea. Mens bones stick out more, with less smooth contour and more sharp angles. Also note the ridge above the eyebrows.
