hope this does well

ok here are my thoughts now that I’ve had some time to think.

-I’m happy Jackson opened his own studio. and as for his solo album, I hope it does well (which it probably will cos his fanbase there is pretty solid)
-although a part of me does fear that he’ll end up missing in a lot of got7s group activities when they do come back in the future. I hope it doesn’t happen but that’s the only negative thing that lingers in my mind tbh cos of the whole lay with exo thing rn. other than that I’m so happy he’s doing well in China and has now got himself into a position where he can do all this.
-JJP comeback….. honestly idk how to feel about this the most. I love all the songs Jinyoung has made for GOT7 and I love a lot of the songs Jaebum has composed for the group but like :/
-arrival was their highest selling album to date. like they’ve been growing. so why would you in the middle of that have a subunit comeback? it’s diff for Jackson cos he’s promoting in China.
-like what’s the reason behind the JJP comeback? is it cos Jackson will be releasing his album around the same time so they’re doing this to kinda keep “GOT7” active in Korea but not exactly active? if that even makes sense.
-I think one reason I’m slightly annoyed is cos a lot of the members since debut have been grossly under promoted by JYPE. so when this happens it’s like??? what the other members gonna do? you didn’t even give them a chance to get themselves out there. I mean Mark is supposed to be the visual of the group but he just had his first solo photo shoot this year? lmfao.
-tbh what I wanted was for them to have a break and do activities on the side if they wanted to during this “break”, take the time to create a well produced & written album in their own time, have a comeback later in the year, promote and then have a world tour.

idk I guess I’ll wait for JYPE to release more details cos I’m still kind of confused. however I hope Mark, Youngjae, BamBam & Yugyeom get a lot of rest since I didn’t read much about their plans for them. they’ve all worked hard this past year.

Hi Father, I hope you are well. I'm just wondering, when does scrupulosity become a sin. I have struggled with it for a while towards myself and have heard it can become sinful, any advice would greatly be appreciated. God bless.

Hello Jack,

Scrupulosity is never a sin. It is an affliction of the mind and heart, that we suffer while we are on the way to appreciating how much God is our Father, how much He cares for us, and how much He desires that we have joy with Him in heaven. God would never judge or punish us for having an affliction like a cold or a flu. Neither does God judge us for the affliction of being scrupulous. God bless and take care, Fr. Angel

You’re sitting in the theatre. Everything is perfect. It’s accurate, it’s visually stunning, everyone is on point. It’s a perfect adaption. The title flies on screen.
Deep voice: Fullmetal Alchemist
Everyone in the theatre:(slightly different intonation) Fullmetal Alchemist.

Please remember that today Jin is ALSO graduating.  He’s graduating from having to wake up at ass o’clock in the morning to drive a grumpy, half-asleep Kookie to school.

The concert will make Matthew the world’s youngest ever conductor!

Matthew’s performance will form part of NSO’s ‘Animal Magic!’ show which will also feature Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky and Peter and the Wolf by Prokofiev.

Neil Bennison, music programme manager at the Royal Concert Hall, said young conductors like Matthew are rare.

Successful conductors have to be team managers, leaders, motivators and diplomats, and these people skills take time to develop and require a level of maturity that only comes with years of experience.Orchestras can be pretty merciless to conductors for whom they have no respect, so you’d have to be a supremely confident young maestro to win over a lot of hardened professional musicians.

Derek Williams, NSO conductor and Matthew’s music teacher, added:

I spotted Matthew’s musical talent very early on in his musical tuition as I’ve been teaching him violin for five years. There aren’t many children who have the ability to conduct a 75-strong orchestra from memory and it’s a really incredible thing to witness.

Can we be honest for a moment and say that it’s rare to hear anything positive on the news, especially when it comes to black children? Matthew Smith is definitely making history. This young man is talented. I hope he does well and goes far.

Dearest Jane Fans –

I want to begin this letter by telling you about the magic of Brett Dier.  He took a character – built from the beginning with secrets and moral lapses – and made him so likable, so funny, so sincere in all the right ways, that most of our writers’ room became #teammichael by the end of the first season.  And I honestly don’t think I’ll ever love a moment on our show as much as I loved Michael’s vows to Jane…  Which is to say, this was a devastating episode for us to write.

It was also a decision made very early on, when I thought about our story as a whole.  And even in season one, I knew it would be a hard thing to actually do, which is why there was a line (which many of you noticed) about how Michael would never stop loving Jane.  And the Narrator confirmed, “For as long as Michael lived, until he drew his very last breath, he never did.”  Honestly, I put that line into the script at the last minute to hold our feet to the fire, to make sure we went through with it.  Because even back then, the writers could all see the magic of Jane and Michael together.  Not to mention Rogelio and Michael!

The other reason I put that line in the script was to prepare you… a little.  If the writers and actors loved Michael so much, then I knew it would be devastating for the fans.  So then, the only surprise we had left, was when…

And again – that goes back to the magic of Brett Dier.  Originally, I thought Michael would die earlier.  But Brett is such an incredible actor – he gave us such great comedy and drama and first-rate exposition delivery (!), often all in one scene.  And he and Gina… well, there’s that word again – magic.  So, we changed some things in the writers’ room.  Jane and Michael got married.  They had sex. They moved into their first home. And I’m so glad we did that and I’m so glad all those firsts for Jane were with Michael.  But this is a telenovela, as we so frequently remind you.  And we are only at our midpoint.

You’ll recall, back in the pilot, Jane was on a path.  Things were mapped out.  And then she was accidentally artificially inseminated and everything changed.  Well now, everything is changing again.  How does our romance-loving hero move on, how does she get back the light and the hope…?

Well, it’s certainly not quick.  And that’s why we’re now three years later in our story.  We’ll be flashing back to those three years and filling in gaps, but mining emotions realistically is something we work hard on and we knew the immediate pain of that loss would overwhelm our storytelling.  After talking to grief counselors, this felt like the right time to reenter Jane’s journey.  She’ll always feel Michael’s absence (and trust me, we will too), but it opens up our storytelling in new and exciting ways, while allowing for the light and bright Jane world that we love to write.

Which brings me to something I feel really badly about.  The timing.  I’ve had so many tweets lately about how Jane is a bright spot these days. And I know you just watched a gut punch of an episode.  So, I just wanted to reassure you that Jane’s optimism will rise up.

Thank you guys so much for watching the show, for caring so passionately, and for going on our journey. And thank you so much to Brett. For his talent.  His passion.  His humor on set.  Michael will be missed in Jane’s world, just as Brett is already missed in ours.

With love,

Jennie Urman

I’ve heard Skam being compared to the UK series Skins a lot, and while usually Skam is referred to as a better quality version of Skins, one thing I think Skins got right that I hope Skam does as well is, at the end of the series, giving all its actors their “curtain calls”. Just in case they don’t, I decided to make one myself. This video is sort of how I imagine/hope the very last moments of the series look like.

Ghost in the Shell

I want to clarify this movie for my followers who commented on my last post about it.

Ghost in the Shell is not an action movie. While there are action elements in the movie, extremely well done action, the movie deals with very interesting concepts and ideas about Humanity and individuality. This is a beautifully dressed Human drama/thriller.

This movie was so interesting to me and I loved all of it, but I don’t think everyone is going to like it. I’ve never seen any of the Anime, so for all I know this is just completely shitting on the source material. But I loved it. And I really want to watch the 1995 film.

I know a lot of people are unhappy about Scarlett Johansson being cast in the role. And all ill say, to avoid spoilers, is they address it and handle it very well. And frankly, Scarlett Johansson did a really good job.

This movie is also stunningly beautiful. I saw it in 3D, and it was so worth it. It reminded me of Blade runner. The world was beautiful. The Animation was impeccable.

I throughly enjoyed this movie, and it’s sorta opened me up to Anime now. So I’m on the hunt for the 1995 film. I highly recommend this movie. It was a fun time.
