It’s been a while, Tumblr, but I could very easily slip back into old habits. Endless sleepless nights filled with gif making and reblogs. Finding ways to twist and shape different scenes into something new.
I miss it.
All this Victorious has really kicked me in the nostalgia.
It’s funny to think how far we, the fans, and the cast, have come since then.
Waiting up ‘til the early hours watching a crappy live stream on a tiny screen with every new episode.
Yeah. I still miss it.
finally caught up on black sails (yes I watched 3 seasons in a week instead of working on my essays for my pointless Masters, what of it)
so many feelings?
This show is a gift, and I just can’t believe it’s so underrated. How goshdarned rare is it to get as complex and well-realised a LGBT character as Flint? How much of a motherflipping breath of fresh air is Anne Bonny and Max’s relationship?
Honestly Black Sails could so easily have been the Epitome of Trash but no, we get these wonderfully diverse characters, plots which revolve around conflicts in which all sides are in some way sympathetic, the fascinating development of John Silver’s facial hair, that cracking theme tune, sO MuCH and IT’s enDING whY
i’m gonna do this as a ship but if you wanted it individually let me know however i’ve never written for this as a ship before so i was excited to see what i can do and i hope you like it
How Speirs and Liebgott became friends exactly no one ever quite figured out. What they did know, however, is that after they became friends, it was rare to see one without the other.
Things were different when it was announced the war was over. They both had different plans: Speirs wanted to stay in the Army and Liebgott wanted to go home to California. They promised to keep in contact, but Liebgott didn’t uphold his end of the promise.
The two years following the war, Liebgott was at home but no one knew what he was doing during that time. Speirs also tried to get in contact, and many times Liebgott held his letters, tracing the familiar script on the front of the envelope, but ultimately got rid of them. Eventually, with no response, Speirs let himself become distracted by his work, and stopped writing.
Even though Liebgott wasn’t writing him anything, he was a little more than disappointed when Speirs stopped sending letters. Speirs had his reasons, Liebgott was sure, for not writing back. He knew he had stayed in the Army was probably very busy with his career.
Liebgott also had to have had his reasons for not writing back, Speirs told himself. He had his family and was trying to make that work on a cabbie’s budget.
Throughout the years, Speirs tried to write Liebgott, but either the letters would get sent back or he wouldn’t get anything back at all. Liebgott hid all the letters, or burned them. He wanted to forget the war, and sadly, this also meant forgetting everyone in it.
They had spent much time together in the final parts of the war when it was winding down, and learned to love the small mannerisms each exhibited. That’s how it happened, really, their story. That’s all anyone needed to know about them.
Speirs stopped writing after all those years of trying, and they both moved on eventually. However, they stayed at the back of each other’s minds, because even if only for a short while, they knew what they had was real.
It’s not even a shounen ai.
It’s a sports anime with a canon gay couple.
Please please please, I don’t want to alienate LGBT representation in anime any further than it already has by placing YOI in the yaoi category just because of Victuuri. Rarely do we see gay representation outside of yaoi (if you even consider that representative…) so I want to keep this intact.
In which Jungkook takes the KTX from Seoul to Iryeong hoping to gain inspiration for his latest novel. He stumbles upon an old village myth about a boy who would wait in the snow for his lover to come home. Intrigued, Jungkook writes a diary about the emotions he’d collected and crafts his characters. Yet, each time he walks along the train tracks and kneels in the cold, unrelenting snow, he thinks he sees himself here, kissing a boy wearing blue, blue and only blue. Jungkook leaves Iryeong only to realize that he is the reincarnation of the boy’s lover and the boy’s name is Kim Taehyung. Dear Diary, Jungkook lets grief ink the pages black, it will be my turn to wait in the snow for him.
