Prince John surrounds himself with such opulence and
wealth, he sleeps at night surrounded by bags of gold! He is quick to leap on
opportunities to trap Robin Hood, but his tendency to take things at face value
means he does not perceive Robin Hood’s gypsy disguise; but he learns from the
experience, and traps him at the archery tournament, by disrobing and arresting
him. Hiss’ continual warnings go in one ear and out the other, although John is
fond of inflicting physical punishment on his loyal (and much-berated) royal
advisor. His inferior Ni shows in his inability to concern himself with how
extreme taxation will impact his future “job” security, and his unwillingness to
see through Robin’s initial disguises; with the result that he is “taken for a
fool” several times.
His motives are rational… to himself, and he delights
himself with his own reasoning, which sees people as objects beneath him who
should “all pay equally” in order to sustain his lavish lifestyle. It does not
take much to speak to his massive ego; John reacts to any compliment with
delight, he often loses his temper when humiliated, and he uses charm when it
suits him. Hiss must resort to emotional manipulation to calm him down
(reminding him “what would your mother say?” and using shameless flattery to
cover up his mistakes).
Traits: traits: cunning, resourcefulness, and ambition.
Prince John was obviously cunning enough to “steal” his
brother’s throne, he shows a resourceful nature in his elaborate tourney to
trap Robin Hood, and his ambition has devastated Sherwood Forest.
The boy looked around at the city below him and frowned. Everything had gone to shit. And worst of all, the poor people were the ones suffering the most. Andrew had taken it upon himself to become a crime fighter, but was one with Robin Hood-like tendencies in the fact that he would steal from pompous assholes that had loads of cash and give it to people who were much less fortunate.
He hopped down into an alleyway and was making sure there weren’t any drug trades going on when he saw someone standing in front of him. Until now, he’d just been a myth to most people, but if this person takes a picture, who knows what will happen, “Shit… Uh… Hey.” He said, voice gravely and intimidating.
