Alright people are getting salty over the “Stiles saved me.” line. You have to look at it from Lydia’s view point. She didn’t see most of the people who helped for longer than a few minutes, some she didn’t see at all. She didn’t see Kira and Malia knock out the power. She didn’t see Scott and Liam fighting off orderlies or visiting Meredith. She didn’t see Mason and Hayden at all. Parrish was only in her view point for 5 minutes at the most and her mom was there for only a few seconds before they barrelled Lydia into the Jeep.
She saw Stiles rush into her room and try to get her out before she sent him away. She saw him bursting through the doors seconds after she killed Valek and she saw that he wasn’t leaving without her. She saw Stiles almost get himself killed because he wouldn’t move out of the way when she needed to scream. Stiles was the one who held her close and tried to keep her calm in the Jeep. Stiles was the one who pulled her closer when she screamed despite it making his ears bleed. Stiles was at her head when they helped her on to the table. He was there when she opened her eyes.
Stiles was the constant.
Yes everyone helped and they were all key but right now Lydia is focused on the constant because she almost died and Stiles almost killed himself to save her.
That doesn’t make what everyone did any less important and you know Lydia would have thanked every single one of them once she had the chance but just take a moment and think about what everything looked like from where Lydia was sat.
