Hollywood Sketchbook: A Century of Costume Illustration - Debirah Nadoolman Landis

This beast of a book (no exaggeration, it must weigh more than a small child) is absolutely amazing. I have owned it for a couple of weeks now and I am still working my way through the first half. It is perfect for both skimming through just for the ‘wows’ and also (not for the lighthearted) reading the content word for word - it is really fascinating stuff. Surprise, surprise it’s full of amazing sketches from every inspirational costume designer and stand out film you can imagine from the last century.

My modest Boxing Day haul- the Dymocks 20% off all books thing is going to be my downfall. Going back for more artbooks and graphic novels tomorrow *_____*

Holyhell that Anne Rice/Ashley-Marie Witter graphic novel is just about the most glorious piece of work this year. It’s so stunning and I recommend it for old fans and illustration afficionados alike.
