Homie was a stoner. He was a humanitarian, smart, relatively good looking and well received by his peers. He was a “normal” guy. I don’t believe this was a matter of him being evil, or even having a desire to pursue ill will. I think loneliness, hurt and solitude are powerful things and even the most “normal” or socially accepted among us can fall victim to them. This man was hurt, he felt unloved and alone. Why do you think cries of “I love you,” halted his rampage? Shooting up Hollywood was fucking stupid but I don’t think he’s a bad person and I wish him nothing more than to rest in peace. People are not evil, just tangible.
