How to use a bullet journal, student’s edition

I’ve been using a bujo for a year now, and as a high school student, I was struggling to incorporate my bujo into my studies, aka organising my homework and stuff. Before starting a bullet journal I was using a day to day diary where I wrote down all my homework and exams. As I switched to the bujo, I was so happy to have this productivity-boosting tool, yet I couldn’t figure out how I could write down my school-related dates and assignments on my bujo, since it is not designed for long-term planning. So here are the tips I figured out through time (and a lot of studyblr scrolling hehe) on how to use a bujo as a student! Enjoy ^^

1. Have a Semester/trimester/year overview of your school/uni year

This is so far the best tip for long-term planning in your studies. With an overview of your school/uni weeks, it is very easy to jot down exam dates, deadlines, conferences and stuff.

It’s very useful when you are given, at the beginning of your school year, the planning of exams. You can easily jot down the dates and subjects of each exam in this calendar.

You can also add vacations, public holidays and weekends. I also like to highlight the days already gone so that at the end of the school year, I’ll feel the joy of highlighting the last day of school ^^

2. Weekly spreads and assignments columns

This is essential if you want to incorporate your bullet journal with study planning.

It consists of having one column of your page, the weekly assignments overview, dedicated to only writing homework, assignments and upcoming tests. The other part of your weekly spread consists of your usual daily logs. Here are some of my weekly spreads as an example (shoutout to @studypunked for the inspo)

As you can see in the pics, the left column is used solely for writing down my homework and tests.

I also like to add some decorations and pictures to give a bit of life to those weekly spreads.

I also added a month overview and a sleep log each week, but this is personal: you can become creative about how you want your weekly spreads to be.

I usually pre-do these weekly spreads for school weeks after a vacation so that if the teachers give an assignment due in a week or two, I already have the homework column of the due week prepared in advance. When I don’t have school (aka during vacations), I don’t make a weekly spread. I just do my dailies linearly.

3. Useful collections for school

I also like to have some pages of my bullet journal dedicated to other elements related to school:

Homework to do during the holidays:

My grade averages:

A spread dedicated to the list of things I had to do for UK uni application and school during last summer:

And so on… you can get creative and it also depends on your needs for school.

So here it is! This setup worked really well for my senior year and I will definitely continue to use it for university.

I hope this post was useful :)

All the teens know that if you live in Gotham and are victim to a homophobic attack, slur, or hate crime, you don’t go to the police, you go to Batwoman. She gets it done faster than the cops. The teens also know that during June, all of the Batfamily members wear rainbow arm bands. Batwoman’s even changed her red bat symbol to a rainbow bat symbol a couple of times. Nightwing can even be seen waving rainbow flags on rooftops during his patrol time. Redhood even once spray painted an entire building with pride colors and the city didn’t take it down because the public liked it so much.

may is….may is the month of family.

since childhood, may felt more like the middle of the year than June or July. I thought it was the same month as inflection point of the year. It has a lot of public holidays too.. Labour Day.. Buddha’s Birthday.. Parents’ Day.. Teacher’s Day.. but of course the main (holiday) is Children’s day !

therefore, it becomes may bam! my heart would flutter pointlessly. It’s the month with many days off from school right? I think everyone would do it if you have school days…maybe. Isn’t it that the weight of may alone approaching distinctly, perhaps our childlike innocence is still alive?

the last end of year stage occasion.. everyone, the members and company too said 2017 all together. we’ve already approached half way through the year, time really flies. yesterday I thought about the word “future”.미未(not) 올래來(coming). A word that we live by bound the most together with words of happiness and love. but suddenly there is not future. I thought that.

because its already may of 2017 that we waited eagerly for, maybe the that future is just a myth. because the most important thing is right now. I thought that saying to do it in the future- later on- that future would never come. something about it is superficial but now is the future soon. I’ve always hoped for something for the future and for something to change, but then I couldn’t manage to smell of the trees of the present. it seems that there is a little water given too to speak of. that the present is the future soon

you may be curious. In the meantime I’m getting a some things ready that are fun again. because we have a lot of things to prepare, the pace is a bit slower than before. because we want to make them more carefully and elaborately. I miss when I didn’t know about the world and had fears of the old past. but there are pros and cons. I think I want to show you since I did it so finely. still..I’m daring to do my best. dare I.

BTS is barely starting. Up until now, we have tried things we haven’t before and we want to try more. It’s barely may more or less.. It doesn’t feel like may has come somehow. The may now and the may 10 years ago have many differences but, when I see my little cousin getting excited to go to lotte world, I’m still thrilled and envious. we will be like this. the weather is warm despite it getting hotter as the summer quickens.

how is everyone’s may? In your hearts, me. us. I thought (about that) for a moment, what season, what month will i stay in. But it’s sad that I can’t hear all the stories. I will try to do my best though. Like music if I can do it. warm and hotly.

it’s national liberation day in korea (august 15th), a public holiday, so you can all rest because i doubt bighit would post anything today.

The truth is, it was the Fourth of July and a public holiday and we were playing a game and I slipped and hurt my back…And I wanted to protect the graze from the sun and said, ‘Does anyone have a T-shirt?’ And one of her friends said, ‘I’ve got this’ and we all laughed about it. It was a joke.

Part 1  Part 19  AO3

Ray stepped through the portal into the Plains with practiced ease. His stomach no longer lurched at the transition - he moved as easily as if he was stepping into another room rather than travelling thousands of kilometres into an instant.

He emerged into the throne room of the Plains castle just as Gavin arrived through the Wild portal opposite him. Their eyes met as they appeared at the same time, and they shared a smile.

“Hey,” Ray called out, “I wondered when you were gonna come. You know what Geoff wants us here for?”

International Workers’ Day

“International Workers’ Day, also known as Labour Day in some countries,  is a celebration of labourers and the working classes that is promoted by the international labour movement, socialists, communists, and anarchists which occurs every year on May Day (1 May), an ancient European spring festival. [4] The date was chosen for International Workers’ Day by the Second International, a pan-national organization of socialist and communist political parties, to commemorate the Haymarket affair, which occurred in Chicago on 4 May 1886. The 1904 International Socialist Conference in Amsterdam, the Sixth Conference of the Second International, called on “all Social Democratic Party organisations and trade unions of all countries to demonstrate energetically on the First of May for the legal establishment of the 8-hour day, for the class demands of the proletariat, and for universal peace."

Being a traditional European spring celebration, May Day is a national public holiday in several European countries. The date is currently celebrated specifically as "Labour Day” or “International Workers’ Day” in the majority of countries, including those that didn’t traditionally celebrate May Day. Some countries celebrate a Labour Day on other dates significant to them, such as the United States, which celebrates Labor Day on the first Monday of September.”

SM puts so much energy into their boygroups, they can't even be bothered to spellcheck their girl groups shit :) i hate them

YEP unfortunately boy groups are always given priority and it’s gross. So far SM fucked up in the following ways:

  • Didn’t stock the album until around 7 PM on August 7th, and some of the biggest retailers didn’t even get any stock this day - fans were turned away during the day and told to come back the next day
  • For the places that did have stock, they didn’t have ENOUGH of the albums and it sold out almost immediately, many stores didn’t get restocked until today (2 days later)
  • Released a teaser for a boy group comeback 4 days after SNSD’s mv release, before SNSD has even started their promos (they did the same to RV and released Exo’s teaser the day RV’s mv was released, and they have been completely mute about f(x) for months)
  • Sandwiched SNSD between two boygroup comebacks, all within 2 months
  • Didn’t schedule SNSD for music shows until a week after their comeback started - their album is going to be out a full week with ZERO promotion
  • (it turns out that spelling error was from a fancafe who wasn’t familiar with romanization tho, so not SM’s fault, although we all remember gilrs’ generation)

HOWEVER, here are all the ways that SNSD and Sones have overcome SM’s mistakes:

  • Holiday was the fastest SNSD video to hit 10 million views, and was the 8th most viewed in 24 hours. This an amazing accomplishment for a 10- year-old group who hasn’t had a comeback in 2 years.
  • Holiday Night has not been promoted AT ALL yet, but Holiday still manages to stay within the Melon Top 20-50.  Every other song within that range has had promotion EXCEPT Holiday. The public does not know about Holiday yet, so the fact that it is that high on the chart is due to the hard work of Sones.
  • Holiday Night was the highest selling album WORLDWIDE (beating Winner and Western Artists) on the day of release, and still hasn’t left the Top 10 even though it’s three days after availability, making it the highest ranking album by a Korean girl group EVER.
  • Holiday was #1 on the singles chart on iTunes in 20 countries
  • The scattered physical album sales of HN still outsold Lion Heart’s and Mr. Mr.’s first week sales in two days. It will soon surpass Hoot and IGAB (possibly even The Boys as well). And to top that off, many KSones don’t plan on buying the album until SNSD are competing on music shows to maximize chances of wins.  Also, some websites that count for the chart won’t ship their albums until the 9th and 10th, so those sales are not counted yet either.
  • Holiday has been dubbed by many Knetz as SNSD’s best song, even though the general Korean public hasn’t heard it.  The initial response of hearts for Holiday on Melon exceeded Lion Heart’s, and All Night is already more successful than You Think.  Again, this is with ZERO promotion. Every other song on the chart is being promoted (most of them for over 2 weeks), played in streets, shops, radio stations, and on TV, but not Holiday

Overall, Holiday Night is shaping up to be one of their most successful comebacks, despite SM’s shoddy work. So don’t get discouraged!!!

If we continue to stream the music video, stream on spotify, vote on music shows, stream on Melon, and support SNSD with all the ways listed HERE, we will continue to break our own records and get the girls what they deserve.
