hobbes plush

This is new! I’ve never made a plush like this before! This was a commission for a wonderful customer of mine for their daughter’s birthday. I used a Hobbes pattern made by Huggable Friends (huggable patterns on etsy) with some edits to change the way the stripes are done. I satin stitched all the stripes on the body, arms, legs, and tail. The head stripes had to be hand-sewn. I’m really happy with how this guy came out! I may be willing to do him again in the future, he just needs a lot of time for all those stripes!

DIY Calvin and Hobbes Mural

Calvin and Hobbes is my favorite comic strip of all times

The creator of Calvin and Hobbes, Bill Watterson, never licensed any of his characters for anything - so there are no mugs, no stuffed characters etc… So to say that I really like this mural is an understatement.

“Tiger, tiger burning bright,

In the forests of the night.

What mortal hand or eye,

 Could frame they awesome symmetry?"

The answer is the Amazing Zakeno! This was for a commission I requested of her, and I absolutely love the way he turned out! Calvin and Hobbes is my favorite comic of all time so I will treasure this guy forever!

You so mahvelous, Kir!
