Our Favorite #ReportageSpotlight Images of the Year

Earlier this year we invited Instagrammers who share Reportage’s passion for documentary photography to show us their best images, of which we’d highlight our favorites in weekly roundups. The response was impressive, and we are excited to see a community of frequent participants emerge: photographers both professional and amateur, from Tehran to Topeka.

Today, we’re taking a break from our weekly roundup to highlight our favorite nine images submitted to #ReportageSpotlight this year. Over the next week, we’ll also tell you more about the individual images and the photographers who made them. From the top, left to right they are: @jeffmcintoshpix, @nima_deimary, @oleelfephoto, @hamedshojaie, @dubyo, @liamcollardphotography, @gianlucacolla, @meganjaepearl and @zarnoosheh.

Thanks again to these photographers and all Instagrammers who participate each week. We look forward to seeing more great photographs in 2015. And, if you don’t already, follow us on Instagram at @gettyreportage.
