It once belonged to founding father of ‪#‎Bellingham‬ Edward Eldridge, he came to Bellingham from Scotland along with Captain Henry Roeder in 1853. Upon his arrival he opened a lumber mill that would supply San Francisco with much of the wood needed to rebuild the city after the great fire. Ironically enough the first two homes of the Eldridge family burned down in 1878 and 1894, and in 1907 the milkman discovered yet another fire to the garden home and struggled to wake up the owners Hugh Eldridge and his wife.

The Eldridge Mansion, once known as the finest home on the Puget Sound now lies vacant, haunted, and for sale… Oh and the dinky car that comes with it… Probably haunted too, just saying. 088/365
