his reaction was too precious when his manga was getting an anime

My top 25 NaLu moments! (Part 2)

Okay, let’s continue this! Here’s part two for my favorite NaLu moments. Part 1 can be found here, if you’re interested in seeing the numbers 25 through 16. Now let’s move on to 15 through 6 (yes, I decided to extend it, it’d just get too big). Thanks a lot to everyone who read this, I love y’all. Also, once again, there are spoilers here for the current arc. If you haven’t caught up to it yet, it’s best if you don’t read this. Also, sorry for any grammar mistakes.

Part 3 is here.

Since 222, I’ve seen that Cross had stirred some displeasure within some of the fans, to put it lightly so I’ll put him in another perspective, since i feel that he was entirely dehumanised. Long post ahead

Not much is known of his background, only that he unwillingly became accomplice of the 14th and promised Neah that he’d watch over Mana. Meaning that Cross was already around 35 years ago when Sokalo was still a kid. Hoshino has revealed that Cross is the closest to the truth, and he carried a lot of sorrow which he eases with alcohol. He used to be a member of the Science Department before he became an Exorcist, then somewhen even got control over Grave of Maria. Cross has been in war for the longest time, just who knows exactly how many people he lost to this war, Anita was just one of the many.

He first meets Allen when he wasn’t Allen yet, therefore he demands him to stay away from Mana before mysteriously disappearing. Second time when sadly the Earl catches up with Mana and supposedly forcefully merges with him, resulting in broken memories, more than they already were. Cross is furious because if Allen didn’t hit Mana with his left hand, then this probably wouldn’t have happened and if it wasn’t for Tim he would have hurt Red, who unknowingly brought about Mana’s demise. He even says it out loud to Allen out of anger before he once again vanishes.

The third time they meet is at Mana’s grave stone, that’s when Cross realises that Allen is an Accommodator and probably with Tim’s help that he’s the vessel of the 14th. He instantly takes him to Mother and watches over him, he sits by Allen’s side gazing at him, trying to figure out what goes through Allen’s head. He expresses his frustration why Allen is the host when Neah has been dead for 30 years, why is the vessel an innocent child? When mother asks him if some good for nothing was it he quickly attacks. She also says that she’s not supporter of the 14th, yet she’s willing to stand beside Cross even when a child was to be sacrificed - if Cross was a horrible person he wouldn’t have such blind trust.

He is shown to look after Allen even outside the room, Mother might have told him to feed him himself so that way he’s gain Allen’s familiarity but there was no need for him to cook for Allen or wash his soiled sheets, Allen didn’t see him he could have slacked off and leave it to Barba. But he didn’t, he continued the routine, always returning to watch Allen until he realises just how deep Allen’s love for Mana ran, that without Mana, Allen didn’t want to live. Bringing up his memory Cross manages to make Allen function again, but he wasn’t the same - and this both angered and horrified Cross. He’s enraged that Allen loved Mana so much that he mirrored his personality, suppressing his own, when Cross was aware that Mana might have not even loved Allen, just Neah. After all it was very suspicious that Mana stumbled on Allen by accident, it’s too convenient. After some time Allen was deemed healthy enough to leave Mother’s and start his apprenticeship. It is shown that to Cross’ approval did Allen take on the Walker surname, this shows that Allen already held Cross high enough to accept Mana’s surname as his own.

The manga didn’t detail Allen’s apprenticeship much, Cross appeared in a flashback when Allen wondered how could he continue fighting without his eye, he recalled Cross explaining he wore the Exorcist coat to become the Akuma’s target, this way luring them away from civilians.

The anime dedicated an episode to their past but it lost its credit when Allen said that “Mana’s death was nothing compared to the hell Cross put him through.” Yeah, thanks, fuck you too. The episode made it look as if Cross forced Allen to work 24/7 whereas in the manga Allen said that he lived off rich acquaintances and Allen only gambled when they were really broke, he didn’t even mention manual labour. It doesn’t make sense that Cross treated Allen like some pimp and that he’d send Allen out to work even when they lived at a Maharaja’s palace. Or how he forced Allen to risk capturing a lion - which by the way, Allen is scared of - for his own entertainment. That whole episode was a trainwreck that derailed both Allen’s and Cross’ character and I don’t even want to think about those women developing crush on Cross.

Cross could be harsh and he was physical with Allen like 3 times, his behavior cannot be classified as abusive, he never used violence to beat Allen into submission or instill fear in him, he never made Allen believe he was worthless and only existed to cater to Cross. On the contrary, he did everything to irk him and lure out his “Dark Allen” traits.

He did everything in his power to distance himself from Allen and empathise with him as little as he can, thus shoved his debts on Allen to make Allen hate him. He didn’t expect however that Allen was willing to close everyone in his heart to show him the least crumble of love and Cross was already there and you can hardly feel indifferent towards someone who loves you. And Allen’s affection does have it’s reaction, Hoshino said that Cross grew to love Allen as his own child. Cross might not be a good role model but he was there.

When Allen was 14 he promoted Allen into a fulltime Exorcist and sent him to HQ, while he himself- he actually went back all the way to Romania to give Rosanne to Krory, then proceed to China. Despite his warnings, a group of Exorcists follow him to Edo, where he uses them as decoys to slip into the Ark, they were the ones insisting on following him anyway.

He finds the Egg, which he cannot destroy so he goes and saves Allen and co. from the freshly awakened Joyd, then meets the Earl. Lavi and Chaoji falls, which fills Allen with bitterness, causing him to lunge at the Earl. Cross scolds him for letting the blood flow in his head and tells him to get over it; Allen is bound to know what would happen if he dwelled on their death. Allen stops the download and Cross praises him for it.

His next relevant scene is when Leverrier turns up for the first time and reveals that he is very much aware that Allen has something to do with the 14th. Cross shows momentarily surprise and concern, but he quickly cloaks it and says that “inspect all you like”. Cross knew that Leverrier would be unable to have info from Allen when he himself had no idea what was going on, but like this he gained some time, resistance would have been futile.

During the invasion when Lulu Bell captured Miranda the Generals came to an agreement that if they keep holding back for Miranda then they won’t destroy the Egg, which is the Earl’s primary source of power. After some seconds of hesitation Cross gives the ok to the all out attack and smiles when Allen saves Miranda. When the Level 4 blows Allen away he looks frightened.

After the Level 4 fight he made a secret pact with Leverrier offering up everything he knew just to talk to Allen.

And finally we arrive to that fateful night. After being isolated from each other, forbidden to talk they finally meet and he quickly wants to fill Allen in. Allen is naturally shocked but they had no time for Allen to really let his emotions wash over him, right now Allen had to soak up all the information Cross was providing.

Hearing the truth of course breaks Allen, and Cross remembers the same broken child he picked up 4 years ago - and he finally drops his indifferent air. He kneels down and hugs Allen to himself to show that even if he couldn’t tell whether Mana really loved him or not, Cross did care for him and not just as the vessel of the 14th. If he didn’t, why would he comfort him? If he was truly as shameless as he likes to pose as, he would have just bark to “get over it”. An unstable mind would have been even easier for Neah to take so why even bother with comforting if he didn’t care? Why would he refer to Allen as sacrifice if he wasn’t precious? If Allen didn’t mean him anything he’d be merely payment. He even bitterly notes that he can’t berate Tiedoll for caring because he grew to care for Allen too. This also strongly implies that as far as Cross knows, Allen can’t be saved. He knew Allen would be gone one day and he tried to let Allen experience happiness before his time came. Looking after might have been his duty but that never entailed making Allen happy, the bare minimum that was expected from him is to keep Allen alive, yet he sent Allen to the Order, because it was Allen’s dream to become an official Exorcist. Cross could have simply taken him to Edo, they were in Indiam he could have taken Allen to the Ark and make him play, who knows Allen might have even disappeared right then and there. Before joining the Order Allen’s sole purpose of living was to destroy Akuma, there’s a chance that Allen might have even willingly submitted himself to Neah, since his only goal was to free the Akuma. This situation could have been much more advantageous to Cross, but he didn’t take it; he let Allen be Allen and live his life to the fullest, surrounded with people he loved.

Then he drops that “what if i told you that when you become the 14th you must kill someone you love” bomb. Allen then snaps and shows that their relationship is not that asymmetrical when it comes to tough love. Allen pretty much gives zero fucks about what Cross said about the 14th and this - this fills Cross with joy. The boy who wanted nothing more than to see his deceased father had found meaning in his life.

Before he disappear he leaves a message to Allen. He doesn’t ask him to yield, he asks him to find out the truth himself, he repeats many times to ask the 14th. Why does Cross still urge Allen to keep walking his own path and drop the mask of Mana? Again, it would have made it much easier for the 14th if Cross broke Allen’s mind or just leave him without even that message, yet he still pushes Allen to carry on.

And finally we arrive to that dreaded 222. Allen wakes up in Neah’s dreamscape, petrified to realise that he’s been swallowed up when Cross appears and faces Allen with the truth. He told Allen that he cannot change the fact that he, “Allen” would disappear. So Cross offers an easy way out: give up and stay with him. This situation is as if Allen had a terminal, incurable disease where he could only hope for the best, which is like a less than 1% rate of survival. Cross is sure that Allen would disappear, so in the last moments, he thanks him for being the host and offers to stay and seek sweet relief in his own memories. In the end, Cross wants to ease Allen’s pain as much as his situation lets it.

Being told that you’re doomed and you almost surely cannot prevent it is sure a painful slap for Allen, he is tempted but resists - and in that moment, Cross is proud of the young man he raised, a part of him was glad that Allen had still had fight in him, that he was determined to fight to the very end even if it would kill him.

And probably this is what Cross means under wolf in a sheeps clothing. Allen refuses to be the gentle sacrificial lamb, even though he has no chance of winning he still fights with tooth and nail until his last breath, it’s basically his old, but much softer Red persona shining through. He is scared, but he refuses to yield, if he must go down he will do it while fighting.

Now you must be saying that if Cross cared he wouldn’t have asked Allen to disappear for Neah, but you forget some important factors.

Cross is an Exorcist, whose duty is to save humanity. Cross will fight to save as many as he can, but he knows that he can’t save everyone and sometimes he has to choose between two things. During his life Cross lost many, many people so he learned to distance himself from the dead. He was ready to sacrifice Miranda’s life to destroy the tgg and save people from turning into Akuma. The Order is terribly weak compared to the Noah, risking the life of millions is not worth it for one life. If they risk and save Miranda that’s good, but there’s a big chance that they fail and have Miranda dead and the Egg stays intact. The Order cannot afford to fail.

It’s similar with Allen. Cross is torn between his love for Allen and his sense of duty, which dictates that he prioritises Neah. But why would Cross want Neah to return when he was shown to be so ruthless? Gentle reminder that Neah single handedly massacred the Noah clan sans Road and the Earl, a feat no one else managed to pull off. Allen on the contrary was unable to Exorcise Joyd from Tyki. The power gap between the two is great.

If you want to end the war, then Neah is the sensible choice out of the two. Cross wants Allen to live but he doesn’t want the death of the millions who died for this war to be in vain. He can adore Allen to bits, but he knows that sentiments like that won’t change he war. Strictly speaking, by just sacrificing Allen this long war could be brought to an end, choosing Neah is less risky. The sooner the war ends, the more lives they can save, the sooner the dead can find their peace. Just because he is ready to sacrifice Allen it doesn’t mean he doesn’t love him.

But let’s imagine that Allen somehow manages to win, would his problems get solved? Absolutely not. Allen has yet to learn that the father he adored, the man who taught him how to love and laugh, who accepted him, the devil child with his grotesque deformity is not dead; and his body is currently used by his greatest enemy, just like his is used by Neah: if Allen somehow wins he has to destroy Mana again. Allen couldn’t bring himself to kill Tyki, where’s the guarantee that he can kill Mana/Earl? Most likely he would be unable to. This is what Cross is trying to shield Allen from: the terror of realising that all his suffering was completely in vain, that he was the one to spur up the Earl from whatever slumber he was in which resulted in Mana’s insanity and the pain of killing the person he loves the most.

But of course, Allen stays true to himself and his promise, deciding that it doesn’t matter if he loses himself if he can keep it. Seeing his determination Cross cracks and gives Allen a purpose. Cross betrays Neah. He can’t choose between his heart and duty, so he creates a flip the coin situation, survival of the fittest, fight to the death. He knows that was a mistake because Allen can be danger to Neah’s plan, who could finally put an end to this war. Either Allen wins and learn the truth or loses and disappears, he will suffer. Allen is so important to Cross that he pretty much gambles the survival of humanity for Allen’s sake.

Golly they animated my favorite chapter in the manga, now it’s in the anime and its better than I could have ever hoped for. I’m ready to gush about Shigeru and Touko Fujiwara now and I’m so excited to do this because they are the absolute best most wonderful people in the world and I’m so glad that Natsume is with them. This isn’t really a post that has any actual meaning to it, either. No speculations or theories, just me gushing about how much I love Shigeru and Touko and how wonderful they are. Spoilers, and a ton of really sappy praise ahead.

Firstly I want to talk about them as a couple, pre-Natsume. They are older, and have lived in the house that Shigeru, and presumably his parents, grew up in, for a very long time. What I adore about them is how much they love each other. They are so close and kind to one another. They tease each other a little bit, as you can see through the series, but past that they’re happy and content and comfortable with one another. And oh gosh they went on that date and it was so cute because Touko wanted to go to the aquarium and Shigeru agreed and it was so perfect and lovely and they were so happy.

Now, as individuals. Shigeru is so kind and gentle. He’s a reserved man, probably doesn’t talk a ton regularly, and I am positive that his best friend is Touko, but he’s so wonderful. He doesn’t make fun of Touko for wanting to go to the aquarium, and they have a lovely time together. He’s so stable and kind and gentle. And when he goes to the funeral, he overhears these adults talking about how they don’t want to take this kid in and how they just want to pass him to someone else, and his first reaction is something that looked a lot like disgust? Honestly, same Shigeru. BUT then he sees this sad kid just sitting alone and dirty and I assume he thinks “How can I help this child be happy and safe?” So his first reaction is to just go home and think about whether or not he and Touko could maybe take the kid into their house. Like he starts cleaning that room, he gets lost in thought. He’s probably thinking “Yeah this could work. Yeah. He could stay here if he wants to. That would be good!”. And he is so understanding of Natsume’s situation too. He hears all this stuff about Natsume being a trouble child, and rather than forget and avoid this little child he’s like “Well then I’m just gonna offer approval, love, gentleness, and genuine affection and let this child relax in this safe and calm environment.”

And Touko, she is an absolute angel. This is the type of woman who is so genuinely sweet and kind. She called to that crow in the middle of the street without caring about what anyone thought of her. She made friends with this crow and was so happy every time she saw it and I’m so happy that it made her happy. And she loves Shigeru so much, and their relationship isn’t strained or stressful because they don’t have children. And nobody ever says anything about them not having kids as a bad thing! She does seem to want children, but she’s never bitter or sad about it, and isn’t mean to any children because of it. She’s so wonderful. One of the biggest scenes I love though is

THIS SCENE. Where Natsume mentions a white crow that she can’t see. Her reaction is surprised at first, but then it doesn’t turn into her saying “Where?” or “What are you talking about?” She realizes that Natsume can see something she can’t here and her reaction is

SHE’S GLAD. She is so wonderful and lovely. She is a beautiful woman who loves this child so much and loves her husband so much and they are the ideal couple. (Also its so cute because when she goes on the trip, she turns to the crow and leaves him in charge of taking care of the house while she’s gone so Honestly? Same, Touko. Same.)

Now to talk about these two as a couple WITH Natsume because that is one of the most precious things ever. Firstly, I think it’s important to know that Shigeru and Touko have only ever been told that Natsume is a troubled child, but they want to take him in anyways. They clean out that room, they buy him furniture. And they don’t even jump to this conclusion right away either. Shigeru thinks long and hard before he even brings it up with Touko, and when she says yes, they spend even more time making sure Natsume is going to have a comfortable place to live. THEN on top of all of this, they fight tooth and nail with his other family to let him come stay with them. They even ask him if he wants to live with them, giving him a choice that no other relatives have ever given him before. On top of that, they don’t force him to become part of their family either. They are so patient with him, and don’t make him into a replacement for their own non-existent children. They understand that they aren’t taking this kid in because they want a child to be happy, or because they are being selfish. They’re only thinking of Natsume and how to make his life better. They aren’t completing their family with Natsume, just giving him the option to join it if he wants to. It’s so refreshing and wonderful.

Also, quick side note. I love how quiet and shy Natsume sounds in this episode before he opens up to them a bit more. Like, usually Natsume talks pretty normal around Shigeru and Touko in most episodes. He’s not afraid to be a bit loud, or excited. But before he opens up to them, he’s very quiet and shy, probably trying his best not to upset him in any way so that they don’t start treating him badly because of it. I fully expect that Natsume had been through quite a few familys where he was treated fine at first, until he began acting out slightly. Then, as soon as his behavior was “bad”, the family members started acting colder or harsher to him so the poor baby expected Shigeru and Touko to do the same BUT THEY DIDN’T!!!

Like, one of my favorite parts of the series is how Touko and Shigeru react to Natsume when he’s in the hospital after he fell off that cliff. The rest of his family is really bitter towards him, saying that he jumped off the cliff so he could hurt them. But Shigeru and Touko? They are so kind and gentle to him. Like, this is a kid who is at risk for growing out of his family. If Shigeru and Touko hadn’t come along, I fully expect Natsume would have been cut out of the family at 18 or whatever age is considered the minimum for adulthood in Japan. He would be forced to get a job, or pay back his relatives in some way for them taking care of him for so long, or just cut out of their lives and forgotten, told as a horror story to make sure their kids value and treasure their parents more. Like, if it wasn’t for Touko and Shigeru, Natsume probably would have ended up hurt worse than he was when he fell of the cliff, or homeless at 18, or worse yet, going with that Yokai who wanted him as a pet. But what do Shigeru and Touko do?

They ask him so calmly if he wants to go live with them where it’s quiet and peaceful, and they are so ready to take him in because they don’t see a troublemaker or freaky kid, they see a lonely, sad boy who hasn’t got the attention and care he needs. They decide that they are able and willing to give him that attention and I love it so much.

We Need to Talk About Servamp

Okay, so yeah, episode 12 happened. And I can see some people pretending it didn’t exist, or saying they wish it ended at episode 11. Others are happy, and personally, I need a lot more time to look it over, collect my thoughts, and really think about what I think about the ending of Servamp. But, here is what I gathered from just a few hours of thinking. This is going to be a long post, so get ready! Okay? Let’s go!

First, I wanna talk about Hyde’s item breaking. Was it really short? Hell yeah. Was there enough detail? Hell yeah. Sure, it was short, and even if I didn’t get that far into the manga yet, I feel like they might’ve skipped things. Even if they did, it doesn’t matter. The scene had really good animations, and it showed the pain, angry, and worried feelings of Hyde and Licht very well. Sure,  they kind of made his contract item get sliced pretty fast, but the reactions to the event happening sort of made it worth it. Hyde calling out to Licht before the Jin escaped his body, Licht not leaving him there, and actually calling out to him, and running into the battle field injured just to find him, and then Licht actually cradling Hyde once he did find him, and then risking his life just to get them BOTH out of there when the ceiling almost fell on them. He kept the injured Hyde hedgehog close to his chest through the building falling to pieces, and then after when the rest of the group was waiting for the sloth pair to get done with the battle with Tsubaki. If that isn’t character development, and good animation, then seriously? I don’t understand what would be.

Second, is the conversation of Kuro’s character development. Even if episode 12 was sort of a disaster, I will praise it with all my heart. We got to see Kuro stepping up, trying to protect Mahiru, and everyone else. We got to see him trying to defend Hyde, since the Servamp was weakened from the fight before, as we see here:

He literally looks so determined to do right here, and stop running away from his problems like he would earlier in the anime. He wanted to finally face everything, and act like the older brother that he should’ve been earlier on. As we also see, he actually fights like he wants to protect something, instead of the one time hits and then running away in his cat form. When he is fighting against Tsubaki, he tries to talk to him, and tries to understand him, and he finally even accepted Tsubaki as his younger brother. He also learns that the master literally didn’t say a thing about Tsubaki before Kuro killed him, and as we also see here, Kuro actually feels bad:

And when Mahiru joined the fight, and got hurt, Kuro got so angry that he went back into his lion form, almost trying to kill Tsubaki again, as we see here:

And if it wasn’t for Mahiru, who jumped in front of Kuro when he was about to kill Tsubaki, Kuro probably would’ve killed him without blinking. Which also means that Kuro needs Mahiru in order to feel balanced and to not go too far like killing when he defending with all his strength. He wouldn’t have done that earlier either. Kuro literally went from a running away from his battles and fears, to actually wanting to defend the things he loves and cherishes. And no offense to most of the characters, since they all went through their own developments, I think Kuro’s was the most major development we would see in this anime.

Finally, the last thing I need to talk about for this episode. Did Tsubaki really need a hug to feel better? Haha maybe he did, but I don’t think it was just that. I feel like he needed closure. When Mahiru went into his memories, and seen what the Servamp had gone through, even I felt bad for him. Sure, Kuro did it, but he regret it so much, and was trying to fix it. Even Tsubaki thought it was strange that their creator had not even tried to mention him before Kuro killed him. I am not too sure what to say about that, but maybe, getting a hug and actually coming to terms that it wasn’t anyone’s fault for what happened is what Tsubaki really needed. A hug from Mahiru was just a bonus, but when Tsubaki healed Sakuya from getting in the way of his sword attack he told him:

And, turned around with a smile, and finished with:

Meaning whatever happened after Mahiru hugged him, and his attacks faded, maybe made Tsubaki realize that he was dragging so many of his subclass who had nothing to do with what happened in his past, into his own family problems. Which is probably why he said personal problems. Honestly though, I just want to know if Kuro and him made up before the Sloth pair went back down to where Misono and the others were waiting for them.

Okay, I think my analysis is done. Now the only thing on my mind, is reading the manga, and finding out everything I can to see if we are getting another season. By the looks of how the anime ended, I am not positive, and my hopes are low, but you will never know. Until then guys, the Servamp and their Eves now have peace…for now.

Oh! And one more thing! Can we get some apperication for this part in the ending?

Look at the smug ass grin Mahiru has on his face when he caught Kuro. Look at how precious that is!

Also, Kuro’s reaction to getting caught too. These two still have a long way to becoming stronger, but now that they are one, and are really comfortable with each other, I have high hopes for them.

Anyway, now I am done. Thanks for the 12 episodes of Servamp! It was a lot of fun and I sure had a wild ride with it.

Reaction to Kagami's MikaYuu Response.

Let me get this straight: According to the author Yu and Mika are “just family” and he has no intentions of focusing on romance, in the series, “Owari no Seraph”. Now let me tell you why I think this is utter bullshit.

• Speaking in general, there’s so many romantic hints between the majority of the characters, there’s even multiple harems. For Kagami to say there’s no romance in OnS almost makes me think he doesn’t even read his own writing.

Now on to Mikaela and Yuichiro’s relationship.

• Near the beginning of the Manga Shinoa asks if Mika is Yu’s girlfriend and his response was not a simple “No” he instead says: “Are you concerned with our relationship?” And leaves it at that.
• Yu is always thinking and talking about Mika
• There was multiple times where Ferid has said questionable things to Mika like: “So this is love..” “Are you going to save your precious princess?” ETC.
• Mika always blushes around Yu.
• Mika always brings up the fact of wanting to run away with Yu, and still up to Chapter 47 he hasn’t given up.
• All the physical contact and expressions is hard to ignore between the two, it’s not something just “family” would do, especially two guys.
• Yu had no reaction to seeing Shinoa and Mitsuba practically naked.
• Both openings of the Anime series had to do with love and confessing feelings. In the first Ending, it’s obvious the song is about how Mika feels. There is also a line that says: “It’s my fear of love and what’s dearest to us”.
• The song “Insanity Love”, a soundtrack in the Owari no Seraph CD was claimed to be put there “just because” and is not related to the series at all, but if that was the case, why does it explain Mika and Yu’s relationship so well?
• All the official visuals show Mika and Yu always strangely more and more close to each other
• Bears. If you look in the backgrounds and some of the visuals you can see bears always being seen with the two of them. It is known that the symbolism for stuffed bears means “love”.
• Mika’s reasoning for living is Yu. He even stated how he would be okay with dying as long as he could see him one more time.
• The amount of how protective Mika is over Yu is not “normal”. Even if someone was not hurting him, his expressions are almost the look of someone who wants to kill.
• Yu didn’t even realize THE MAN WHO KILLED HIS FAMILY was right beside him because he was too busy staring at Mika to notice.
• Yu always notices Mika’s presence before any of the Shinoa squad, he sometimes doesn’t even acknowledge them.
• Yu-Chan is always trying to get Mika to drink his blood, and Mika refuses to drink anyone elses.

Now getting to things I’ve noticed in the game.

• In Mika’s description it says Mika thinks FONDLY of Yu. This word is not lightly used in Japan, even for family it is rare. Being fond of someone is usually explained about someone who that person is in love with.
(Also, I think it was proven canon Mika has feelings for Yu, but I could be wrong.)
• You can basically make Yu and Mika get together. If that doesn’t say anything, I don’t know what does, honestly.
• They mention wanting to adopt children together.

There’s so much more signs that’s Mika and Yuichiro are MORE THAN “Just family”.
Either Kagami is blind to his own writing or he doesn’t want us to know MikaYu will eventually end up canon.
I just hope he’s not stupid enough to throw away such beautiful potential, and disappoint the majority of the Fandom. Also, I found it kind of funny he mentioned most of his fanbase population is males, when it’s quite the opposite.
Kagami has set up Owari no Seraph so perfectly for MikaYu to be canon, his manga would become majorly popular if they were to become officially together. Especially considering it would be the first Shounen to have the main character be in a relationship with someone of the same sex.
I’m hoping he won’t throw this opportunity away, but instead will reflect on what his Manga clearly shows: The love between not just family, but something much more.

Hi. I totally adore Natsume/Tanuma pairing. If it's not too much trouble I was wondering if you would do a compilation of your favourite moments of the couple, anime or manga, either is fine.

Ohhhh my gosh, I am SO SORRY for taking like four+ months to get to this thing! School was hectic for me and now that it’s summer I’ve calmed down a lot and also I’m in a TanuNatsu mood right now so let’s start!

TAEHYUNG: Taehyung has said that he has never been in a serious relationship before. Although he does like affection and cuddling, he’s going to want to take it a bit slow. Jin and Taehyung are one of the most traditional ones in Bangtan, so he’s going to take a moderate amount of time in transitioning from kisses to regular cuddling. Given that, he’d want to cuddle a lot - it’s like you unleash the cuddle monster out of him. Whenever he’s just feeling bored, tired, or happy, he’s going to want to be able to hold you. Especially with Bangtan having comebacks every few months, there’s going to be drastic changes in time spent together when during his comeback period vs. not. Taehyung is the type to acknowledge that every time spent with you is a precious memory etched into his heart, so that’s why he feels the need to cuddle a lot. If on the couch, he wouldn’t have a specific preference; he likes any cuddling positioning so along as you’re near him and he’s able to hold you. With that, you two are most likely going to end up spooning the most. He’s going to be the bigger spoon, having your head tucked into his neck. Taehyung is the type to playfully nuzzle his nose on the crown of your head, giggling while he does so.

When asleep, I have a feeling that Taehyung will be in a fetal position - he’s like the guy that turns into a baby when sleeping. So you’d have to adjust to his posistion. There are various ways you can do that, but the posistion he would like the most is when you are, to say, the “dominant” one in the posistion. He likes snuggling onto things, like pillows, so he would rest his face on your stomach, while wrapping his arms around your torso. He’s going to fall asleep listening to the beat of your heart, his head snugly fitted between his neck and shoulders. For some reason, I see him as the guy who gets comforted by having your scent near him, so he would throw his legs over yours, while maintaining the fetal posistion. In return, you’d stroke his hair while he falls asleep, wrapping yours arms his neck area. He’s going to love it if you press kisses on top of his head, murmuring “I love you”s while you both drift off to sleep.

SEOKJIN: Jin is a true gentleman. He crushes on people easily, but he seems to have a hard time falling in love, which is different. Jin used to go to an all-boys school, and he mentioned that he hasn’t interacted with much girls during his school years because of that. Similar to Jimin, he would want for you to be sitting in between his legs. Cuddles with Jin aren’t going to be very playful or such, but you’re going to love his cuddles anyways because they’re so calm and soothing. After a long day at school or work, it’s going to be perfect. After he comes home from practice, you two will just sit there on the couch in this posistion, watching TV. Unlike Jimin, he’s not going to hold your hands from behind. Instead, he would massage your shoulders, asking about your day. Jin is really the listener type on most days, so you’d be the one chattering on and on. Other times when he’s too tired himself, he’d just wrap his arms around your waist, indulging in the sweet times you two are having together. Being the romantic he is, (he’s probably learned all his romance stuff from mangas and anime lmao) he’s going to kiss the top of your head occasionally, smiling softly as he does that. He’s going to want you to be the big guy when cuddling, and just relax as you lean your head on his chest - his shoulders were just made for cuddling mfh.

While asleep on the bed, the posistion I’m about to describe is quite similar to the “sweetheart’s cradle”. Jin is going to lie on his back, and you will lie on your stomach, resting your head on his broad shoulders. This will give him an ego boost; even though Jin acts really confident about his looks, I see this as a facade of sorts. I see Jin sometimes getting worried that he’s known for looks and nothing else. That being said, He’s always up for deep pillow talks, and on some days, he’s going to talk about the future and in his career. I see him having a lot thoughts and plans for his future family; like what age he wants to marry at, how many kids, and etc. Jin is going to discuss them with you, and is the type to get excited when you are both on the same page, even if the future he’s dreaming about is years away. During pillow talks, you will want to boost his self-confidence from the inside, by saying things like “yes, you’re really handsome, but there’s more to that than you.” to build his self-esteem. He’s going to wrap his arms around your shoulders, smiling as he drinks in everything you say. He likes your arms, folded and against his chest, as he feels very manly. Overall, cuddling on the best with Jin is going to be sweet, but relaxed.

- ADMIN J

A/N: I got a little carried away with this one….but I swear each time I wrote it gets longer than the other boys’ versions AHAHAHA. But guys, just a reminder, ships are closed >.<

See you tomorrow!

My SS Reasons

I realise that I’m later than VERY late for this, but after the things that have been transpiring with Sakura Hiden lately, I wanted to inject a little positivity back into the fandom. Thus, I regained my motivation to write this. My apologies if it ends up being rather long.

So for starters, I don’t think I could have been described as a “shipper” until after the manga had already ended. Allow me to elaborate on that.

Sasuke has always been, and will always be my favourite character in the series (despite my username), and so I always wished the best for him. Now, Sakura made a negative first impression on me. Much like Sasuke, I found her fangirling rather annoying, and in combat situations, she was in my opinion, for lack of a better word, useless. The damsel in distress trope is my joint most hated trope in all of manga/anime (so you can imagine my opinion of Hinata in The Last…), so I couldn’t have agreed more with Sasuke when he urged her to work on bettering herself as a kunoichi rather than chase him around for dates.

Now, although Sakura wouldn’t become a formidable opponent until part 2, my opinion of her gradually improved over the course of part 1, beginning from the Forest of Death. It began negatively though, because her calling Sasuke a coward during their confrontation with Orochimaru, although it was needed, I feel as though it came from the wrong person, because she was being just as much, if not more of a coward than he was, so I didn’t feel as though she had a right to call him that. Naruto was right in calling him that, not her, so that irked me a little.

But when she gave her all in protecting Sasuke, Naruto and Lee from the sound ninja, she started to gain my respect. I saw that although she still wasn’t very competent combat wise, and she knew this, she gave it her all regardless. This, coupled with the fact that she cut her hair, made me realise that at this point, she definitely was no longer just a fangirl; she was someone who took Sasuke’s words into consideration, wanted to improve her skills, and cared about his well being more than his romantic affection. Furthermore, at this point I had noticed that Sasuke paid more attention to her than Naruto did, something which Sakura failed to realise. This included Sasuke opening up to her during the bell test, complimenting her genjutsu skills after noticing she was upset, and revenge on her behalf being the first thing on his mind when he awoke with the Curse Seal activated. But I didn’t delve too deeply into it.

The point where I realised that Sakura’s crush had turned into love was during Sasuke’s confrontation with Gaara. When Sakura put her life on the line to protect Sasuke with her own body, without an ounce of hesitation, that was when I knew she was serious about him. This was also the time when I first started to actively like the idea of them as a couple, because I also obviously saw Sasuke describing her as one of his precious people, so I knew that at this point, feelings existed on both sides, regardless of the fact that they were still platonic on Sasuke’s part. So I suppose that you could say in the loosest of terms, that I started shipping SasuSaku here. I wouldn’t have described myself as a shipper yet though, I was just warm to the idea of them together.

Chapter 181 speaks for itself, so I won’t go too far into that. But I will say that it was this chapter that made me certain that if Kishi were to resolve all the romantic tension in the series between the characters, SasuSaku would be one of the endgame pairings, and I never doubted that for a second. I felt as though Sasuke needed someone like Sakura in his life, and the hug in the hospital solidified that belief.

So once the series ended, and I saw that they did indeed get together, sure I was happy, but I just took it in stride because it had been so obvious, and I had never been active in the fandom so I hadn’t really defended it before. I therefore wanted to take a look online to see some of the reactions, and I really couldn’t believe some of the nonsense that certain antis were spouting. It was literally so bad that I just had to say something. It was then that I became a shipper for both NH and SS (and ST), but mostly SS because they were getting the most hate, for such nonsensical and hypocritical reasons. I guess my love for the ship increased as I felt the need to protect it from bullshit. And through defending it, I learnt more things about their relationship, and realised that I didn’t give enough significance to certain more subtle aspects of their relationship, such as Sasuke’s smirk, or the intense eye contact that they always seem to share. I always knew that my loyalties were with SS, I knew they were endgame from chapter 181 and supported the idea, but the reasons for hating on them were very contradictory to the themes of the manga, and it just seemed like the majority of antis had a very severe case of selective reading. Thus, the antis brought out my shipper side.

Now, I’m a huge SS fan, but I do believe Karin’s feelings for Sasuke were genuine. The concern she demonstrated during the confrontation with Killer Bee, her desire to want to see his genuine smile once more, and her being absolutely distraught over Sasuke being on the verge of death and trying her upmost to save him showcased that to me. But it’s just the fact that she seemed content with Sasuke being on his dark path. Regardless of whether Sasuke’s reasons for being on that path were in any way validated, that’s not where I wanted him to be at the end of his story. So while I feel Karin’s feelings were genuine, that’s all I can say about that. Whereas not only were Sakura’s feelings genuine, but she was also actively trying to secure what Kishi, Team 7 and the majority of the Naruto fandom deemed to be a better future for Sasuke. Because while she may not have fully understood Sasuke’s motives, she knew the pain and suffering he’d have to put himself through to achieve those goals, and she knew that being alone, much like what she said during chapter 181, wouldn’t bring him happiness, and that’s all she wished for him.

So I feel as though I went a little off track. Basically I ship SS because Sakura was able to offer Sasuke something that not only no one else could, but something that he sorely needed: love with a positive future. I ship it because Sasuke was Sakura’s motivation to better herself as a person and a ninja, and it was always (at least in part) due to his influence that she was able to accomplish feats so incredible that even he had to acknowledge her skills. I ship it because after all the hardships that they faced, Sakura’s love was finally able to get through to Sasuke when his seemingly impenetrable wall of hatred and revenge had been broken, and they were able to have the happy ending that they deserved.

(I also ship it because Sarada is fucking awesomesauce XD)

My Thoughts on the Owari no Seraph Finale

There’s always an episode or chapter in the life of a shipper that you can say “This is it! This is the one that’s won me over”. I can safely say this was that kind of episode for me. The one that turned MikaYuu/YuuMika from a casual ship to an OTP. Not only did I find it really suggestive, I also think the way these boys’ feelings for each other were reinforced was absolutely perfect.

First of all, Yuu crying tears of joy after he wakes up and realizes Mika is alive. How dare you make something so freaking adorable?! I think it was so beautifully animated, the way he moves his head around and his eyes glint and finally he starts crying. Nonono too adorable, too much for my heart. I actually teared up because it was like this boy’s love for Mika (even if it’s still platonic at this point, it’s love you can’t deny that) was pouring out of the screen.

It only kept escalating from there. Yuu didn’t even care if Mika turned out to be a foe. For Yuu, Mika’s life is much more precious than that.

But still, I don’t think Yuu meant he wouldn’t give a shit if Mika was “evil”. Yuu knows Mika, so it’s not like he wouldn’t believe Mika had a reason for doing what he’s doing. And even if he had the wrong reasons, I’m pretty sure Yuu believes he can reach out to Mika at any given moment. So I think even if Mika was walking down the wrong path, Yuu has faith in him and believes Mika will come back to him.

Also, there’s something I’d like to point out. I could be wrong, since Shinoa’s sister died so this could’ve been triggered by her memories of her sister, but considering the idea of her apparent crush on Yuu was floating around, this is the impression I got. Shinoa smiles when Yuu tells her that Mika being alive is enough for him right now, but then she looks down (looking kinda sad?) and remembers staring in the direction Mika had been taken away.

Like I said, the impression I got, is that maybe she’s considering their feelings for each other as something other than platonic? In the subs she says “Yuu”, but if you listen to her she actually says “Yuu-chan” referring to the way Mika calls Yuu. So to me it’s as if she’s noticed how close they are and how important they are for each other. And I think she was looking sad because of her possible crush on Yuu and realizing there’s someone else he considers precious to him? Yeah, I know it may have something to do with her sister, but the way it played out between the mention of her possible feelings for Yuu, it just strikes me as something else. Just another suggestive scene if you’d like to call it that.

Then of course there’s the scene that completely won me over and made my heart swell with otp feels.

First of all, Yuu, how dare you?! I mean, did you see that?? “If he’s alive, I can do anything.” COME ON! It’s like, that line makes it seem as if finding out Mika is alive gave something back to Yuu. Something he thought he had lost when Mika “died”. It’s as if Mika’s the source of Yuu’s strength, he’s someone irreplaceable to him and stab me in the heart because that’s just precious!

And if I thought the scene couldn’t get any gayer, boy was I wrong. The background music sounded like something they play in movies when there’s a couple having a romantic dinner at a restaurant or something. They’re both looking at the moon, thinking about each other. For a moment I was like “AM I LOOKING AT A TELENOVELA OR SOMETHING?!”, because it felt like a cliche’d romantic scene, but of course I wasn’t about to complain. Be gay all you want, my lovelies. I encourage it!

Then, the cherry on top…

HOW FREAKING DARE YOU GIVE ME ANY MORE FEELINGS THAN I ALREADY HAD?! That forehead boop that forehead boop that forehead boop!!!!! *explodes* I didn’t expect that scene from the opening to be recreated this way, so it was such a pleasant surprise. And just knowing that at that moment they were thinking about each other, maybe wishing they could be exactly like that, so close to each other… my heart jumps like crazy.

The determination in their eyes… *explodes again* They both believe the other needs saving, so one thing’s for sure: Mika believes Yuu can only be safe by his side, and Yuu believes Mika can only be safe by his side. It’s like a vow to protect each other, support each other, and love each other unconditionally. No matter where their paths take them and no matter what happens, they know they belong together. *starts crying*

Ah, fuck. I can’t say I wanted this, because honestly, another OTP to obsess over was the last thing I needed. But I loved this episode way too much, so I don’t regret anything. I know how falling hard for a ship goes, so sign me the fuck up, I’m on my road to MikaYuu hell.

Now onto find good fanfiction and start reading the manga. Hell yeah.

Noragami 67 Reaction

I actually wasn’t going to write one of these, because I feel like this chapter pretty much went exactly the way I expected it to, but a couple people have asked about my thoughts so… Here they are!

OnS NKH Episode 12 Analysis Part 1 (up to end of chapter 40)

Sure. Also I figured it would be good to just sit down and collect my thoughts and provide a logical explanation for my negative reaction to the episode. I hope you find that my review is fair and based on reasonable points.

First of all, I would like to say that I do not believe all anime original endings are automatically bad. It is very possible to end a show differently than the manga and have a great episode. The only thing I actually take issue with is deviation from the internal logic of the original manga. This includes plots that don’t make sense in the infrastructure of the original story and behaviors that doesn’t make sense given what we know about the characters.

So in essence I will be discussing episode 12 by considering how it holds up on its own as a work of its own, with comparisons to the manga where possible (i.e. in just Part 1 of my analysis). That being said, I will treat divergences from canon harshly if the changes have a negative impact on the quality of the work, either by just not being as good as the original or, worse, by disobeying the preexisting logic in the original.

So here we go. *cracks knuckles*

As fate would have it - Chapter 12

It´s been about twelve years since Hiyori last saw Yato. Twelve years since he cut ties with her. With tears in his eyes he explained that it was all for her sake so she could finally start to live a normal life.
What he didn´t know back then was that their ties could never be cut.

Hiyori remembered everything about him, Yukine and the far shore.
At the time Yato and she parted ways Hiyori was already pregnant with a baby girl that grew up knowing nothing about her father.

oneeyedtragedy  asked:

Would you give us your opinion about Natsu and Lucy pairings? :) I saw your comment about Gray and Juvia and it was really interesting and accurate!

Awww, thanks! ^-^ And sure! I’d be happy to. ^__^

Well, Natsu and Lucy is, IMO, a very smooth sailing ship. Out of all the potential couples, Nalu is the one I have 99.9% confidence in actually becoming canon by the end of the series. I know people toss about Nali, and maybe even Lolu (both pairings I actually liked very much at one point in the story, by the way), but it should be obvious by now, and especially after recent events, that these “rival” ships have nothing on Nalu.

The recent Natsu and Lisanna scenes have been romance free. After little, to no interaction since Lisanna got back, this was the perfect opportunity to inject some tender, tension-filled moments, and instead we get foot to the face, comedy, and Natsu being Natsu. I mean, just compare Natsu comforting Lisanna, to Natsu comforting Future Lucy, and you can see the stark contrast.  And like I just said, previously to this, Natsu and Lisanna had no interactions at all. And that killed me at the time, because, as I mentioned, I shipped Nali. But when Lisanna came back, and Mashima did literally NOTHING with it, and instead had Lisanna encouraging Lucy to stick by Natsu, I knew that was it. It was never meant to really be a thing.

As for Lolu, Loke is a flirt. Plain and simple. He loves Lucy the same way all of her spirits do (although, I’m sure if she let him in her pants, he wouldn’t refuse lol), but ultimately we are shown that he’s not one for commitment, and Lucy doesn’t see him in that way anyhow, and all their “moments” are played off comedically. There’s always a punch line at the end, and they’ve made no progress since Loke became her spirit. In fact, we rarely see him anymore (which makes me sad, because I love Loke haha!).

But Mashima has shown again and again, that Lucy does see Natsu in a more than friend type of way, and that he is building up to a romantic relationship between them. Everything pushes this point, from the omakes (some of which have been completely Nalu-centric), to the OVAS (hello OVA 4), to the anime fillers, and the movie (that hug!). If Lucy likes anyone romantically, it’s Natsu. And Mashima constantly puts them in romantically implied (and sometimes perverted) situations. He makes statements on this couple through gestures (forehead to forehead with future Lucy, and current Lucy’s reaction to it and the hug from behind at the end of the GMG), rather than words. I think, if you’re truly looking at the story unbiasedly, there’s no doubt, that if Lucy has a romantic interest in anybody, it’s Natsu.

Here’s where people take issue with Nalu, though. Natsu, and, in their opinion, his lack of romantic interest towards Lucy. I’ve seen, and understand both sides of the argument, but it all comes down to Mashima trying to stretch the situation out and keep the tease of the pair going. As I said, Lucy is already pretty obvious about her affections for Natsu at this point.  But, it’s hardly one-sided. We have whole omakes dedicated to insight into Natsu—->Lucy, like him digging up a sakura tree, just so Lucy can see it, and the great care he took over the souvenirs from their prior jobs together. Natsu isn’t obvious about his feelings, however, Mashima uses things like this to show what lies underneath his usual behavior. He shows that Lucy is special to him, and he even lately went so far as to have Natsu SAY SO, when he told future Rogue he had taken something precious to him. That’s HUGE for Natsu. Natsu doesn’t often do words, he does actions.

But Mashima has shown through Natsu’s actions, too, that Natsu feels differently about Lucy than he does about anyone else. I can give many examples, but I think the only one I need is the lengths Natsu goes to, to save Lucy time after time. Specifically the one where Lucy got locked up in the GMG arc, and Natsu had to be restrained, in order to stop him from barging in after her. People will say he’s done that tons of times, for MANY people, and that would be completely right. However, it was Happy’s comment to Lucy, and the teasing about it afterwards, once he met up with her in the castle, that showed Mashima’s intentions. Natsu didn’t get teased about any of his previous rescues, but it was his insistence to go after Lucy, and the implications of it that Mashima brought up again through Happy that’s important and different from all the other instances.

Just like Gruvia, often times, it’s the outsider comments that give insight into the pairs. So, as I just said, Happy’s teasing during the GMG, and Kain’s lovey-dovey comment on Tenroujima, and Virgo’s observation in the Oracion Seis arc are what put their moments in a romantic context. Mashima purposely does this, because he WANTS these moments to be taken a certain way by the readers.

So, in conclusion (sorry this is so long!), I think all the pieces for Nalu are already there. They’ve got nothing standing in their way, and they just need a slight push to go from friends to something more. Mashima has them on a slow simmer at the moment, because they are the main characters, and their relationship status would affect the tone of the manga the most. They won’t likely hit canon until very near the end of the manga, if not the absolute end.

However, I can almost guarantee that there will be a significant increase in moments (and the the blatant romantic implications behind the moments) as things get closer to that point, and I have little, to no doubt that they will get together when all is said and done. I can’t necessarily say the same about all the other pairings, by I feel pretty certain when it comes to Nalu. ^__^

landdreams9  asked:

Hi, when did you start ship Sasuke and Sakura together? I'm starting to slowly ship them now. I used to dislike them, but analysing more of it, I came to the conclusion that there's more to the sasusaku story than I used to think. The story of a girl whose feelings grew bigger towards the boy and that she's never stopped loving him or gave up on him despite everything is actually amazing and I can say Sakura is a really strong character.

It is an amazing story, and Sakura is a really strong character, in every sense of the word :)

As for when I started to ship SS, allow me to quote myself from a previous post of mine ^_^

I therefore wanted to take a look online to see some of the reactions, and I really couldn’t believe some of the nonsense that the antis were spouting. It was literally so bad that I just had to say something. It was then that I became a shipper for both NH and SS (and ST), but mostly SS because they were getting the most hate, for such nonsensical and hypocritical reasons. I guess my love for the ship increased as I felt the need to protect it from bullshit.

So there you go, that’s when and why I started to ship SasuSaku ^_^
