Exclusive sneak-peek behind the scenes with Lea Michele and Jenna Hipp as they take baby Bowie for a hike to celebrate Earth Day 2016. 🎉🌎

“We planted trees with good intentions in honor of people we love, past and present. It was very sweet and sentimental”, says Hipp. Lea loves being in the middle of nature and giving back to her environment. The point of planting trees in honor of loved ones is to put good energy back into the earth and take a moment to appreciate all of the amazing resources we are given every day. Our world is so beautiful, let’s all work together to keep it that way. Plant a tree for someone you love today! 🙌🏼🌱🌿💕

First taster of baby rice!

Why? The experts all say to try and keep your baby on just milk until about 6 months. They say the longer you wait the better. In some cases I can agree with this, and after reading into the reasonings behind what the experts say, I can understand clearly that it’s due to their stomach lining not being developed enough. Daisy is 16 weeks old and I’ve been contemplating trying her on baby rice for a little while. It’s definitely not something I rushed into but she just never seems full. We changed her milk onto hungry baby milk but it just made her really constipated so we had to change straight back. But she still is never full! Some days it feels like all I’m ever doing is feeding her. So I tried literally 3 or 4 spoonfuls of baby rice. This was my own personal decision and I did it because I feel like it’s the right thing to do for my daughter. A lot of people might and probably will disagree with it but each to their own.

What? Daisy absolutely loved it! I thought she might take a while to get used to it but she got stuck in straight away. I was only going to give her 2 spoonfuls but she started crying for more when I took the spoon away. So I gave her a few more and she really enjoyed it all! She licked the spoon dry! The box says 4 months +, so really we are only a week or so early! I’m glad we tried it because she seemed a lot more satisfied.

How? I bought  Hipp organic baby rice (as you can see in the top photo above) and followed to instructions. I took one little spoonful of the rice powder, put it in her little bowl and mixed in some of her warm bottle until it was runny enough that there were no lumps. It was nice and smooth so that it would be as easy as possible for her to swallow it.

What did your little one think to their first taster of food?
