anonymous asked:

Could you do Dark with a POI trying to show him Hamilton and Dark actually enjoying it possibly?

Sure! Here you go! I tried keeping it relatively spoiler-free for those who don’t know what all happens in the musical.

You reached forward and pressed the volume knob on the radio, shutting it off after the last song had ended. It had been a long car trip and you took the opportunity to show Dark a musical that you had enjoyed: Hamilton. You figured he wouldn’t dislike too much since it had historical influences. He seemed to like history at least a little.

“So? What do you think?” you asked, looking at Dark for an outward reaction.

There was a pause before he answered. “Some parts of it were better than others.” You couldn’t gauge an exact opinion from that statement.

“Is that good or bad?” Dark shrugged at the question and you grimaced a little. You couldn’t read him at all. “Well, what parts were better?”

Dark thought for a moment. “I prefer moments of action over moments of romance,” he stated. You figured as much. “I enjoyed the second act more. Particularly the songs before the one about the 1800 election.”

Again, you figured as much. “So… you like it?” You felt a smile spreading across your face.

“I did not say that. To be concise, I like parts of it. It’s not necessarily bad, though.”

That would have to do, you suppose.

*there are way more namjoon tracks but this list was getting too long* *just peep his mixtape and soundcloud*

1. Rap Monster by Rap Monster

This is Namjoon’s take on “look at me now” by Chris Brown and a.k.a the first ever song to be represented by Bangtan Sonyeondan as it was the first ever track on BTS’s official soundcloud.

This is an introduction to Rap Monster as an artist and a lit track. This shit was a bop!

2. Too much by Rap Monster

This song is extremely meaningful and Namjoon’s voice sounds breathtaking. This was Namjoon’s reflection of the B-free incident. He mentions how he shouldn’t take B-free’s hate to his heart and not to over think criticism. In the beginning he sounds really hurt but omg towards the end he is going hard, and it gives me old school rap vibes.

3. Unpack your bags by Rap Monster

This song is a huge middle finger to the underground rap community who looks down on idol rappers. This was a collab with the show 4 things where he mentions how hard it was him to pursue hip hop. He mentioned 4 struggles he faced in the industry. Check out the episode, the show also shows how he interacts with his producers and Bang PDnim and this was where the really famous “ Solo, or Bangtan” moment was born. We really got to know Namjoon as an artist personally and his teenage days. This is complimented with a really cute music video.

4. P.D.D (Please Don’t Die) by Rap Monster

This is a track where he collabed with Warren G  prior to his mixtape in L.A and this gives me chills because of that prominent West Coast feel. Check out the MV and the naver behind the scenes.

5. Something by Rap Monster (a.k.a my all time favourite song I don’t know why tbh)

HOLY SHIT THIS SONG TAKES ME WAY BACK! I feel as if nowadays the producers really autotune Namjoon’s singing voice and make it really shaky but hear you can prominently really hear his singing skills and It is such a sexy love song. It really gives your romantic feels and reflects on a sad teenage love story.

6. Where u At by Rap Monster

Here we have high school Namjoon talking about how school has gotten the best of him. In a culture where education and status are everything, he talks about letting his parents down and confessing to his relatives about his future in Hip-Hop. Its an extremely relatable track where you think about where you want to head in the future.

7. Favourite Girl by Rap Monster

This is such a cute fuckboy song omg Namjoon’s voice is so cute in this. Young love amirite.

But I have a secret meme with this song. In 6th grade I accidentally blasted this and my teacher started singing along to it since the chorus is in english and ever since my friends have been taunting me with this song.

8. Monterlude by Rap Monster

The instrumental to this was included in the Skool Luv Affair album. This is in english and this is such a cute love song. Namjoon would spoil his girlfriend omg.

9. Promethus by Yankie feat Rap Monster

Namjoon teamed up with some popular K-rappers and his verse in this made my pussy drop BUT EVERYONE IN THIS SONG DID SO AMAZING THIS IS SUCH A TURNT SONG I WAS JAMMING TOO HARD

This song is based off of the seven sins and Namjoon plays lust..ofc.

He uses some sick korean wordplay.

10. Bucku Bucku by MFBTY feat Rap Monster

MFBTY are already korean hip hop legends and the fact that such “old” and wise rappers decided to have Namjoon feature is an honor.

He also had a little role in another one of their mvs here

11.   PRIMARY (프라이머리) - U (Feat. Kwon Jin Ah 권진아, Rap Monster 랩

This song is really relaxing and I love Primary’s beats and Kwon Jin Ah’s soothing voice, But Namjoon’s soothing rap was so sexy. It was just so hot omg.

12. Awakening by Rap Monster from his mixtape

This song was from his mixtape which you absolutely need to check out and I suggest you see his other music videos such as the legendary Do You  and Joke.

This song was extremely powerful and eye opening. Just ready the lyrics and you will know why.

“In  the moment of my failure
will someone hold my hand?
in the moment when I come down from the stage
will that person be next to me?
just tell me that I can survive
in this cold world, just feel my vibe
every night inside me I quietly fight with myself
my heart pounds, my colleagues stab me in the back
while saying that I became a moron after joining a company
yeah fuck you I’m an idol, yeah yeah I’m an idol
at one time I hated it but now I love to get that title”

13. I believe by Rap Monster

Extremely uplifting and it brings you a huge amount of self-confidence, its a self-loving song and its a self reminder to always believe in yourself no matter how much you fall. Also has a little appearance from Jimin.

14. God Rap By Rap Monster

This song talks about Namjoon being an athiest but also has a message for believers. It talks about controlling your own life and to be your own idol. It says how you have the power of god in you and how you are extraordinary.

15. Throw Away by Rap Monster

“got an automatic dick”

16. Rush by Rap Monster feat Krizz Kaliko also from his mixtape

Funny story this is how they got together and created this lit korean meets american rap track.

Namjoon goes really hard in this, check it out!

17. Drifting by Rap Monster also from his Mixtape

This song has a theme that goes with “Reflection” and “Always”, He says how his thoughts are drifting and how feels lost (almost like the track lost in wings). Its put you in a trance where you, yourself starts to think about where you are in life and what purpose you have.

18. Life by Rap Monster from his mixtape

This song got me tripping because Namjoon is a lyrical genius. The amount of questions this song got me saying is insane. Just read.

“ the little me inside myself was always lonely
why is there no opposite word of loneliness?
could it be because people, until they die, have no moments of not being lonely?
it’s necessary to seek a moment to be alone
yeah that’s a life
we live inside danger
through the reward that makes us able to see this beautiful world “

were we born to die, were we born to live
are we living to die, or are we dying to live
the nametag with my name on it, is that my life?
or is it death

who knows…

life, fall in love
life receives injuries from us and
is lonely because of the wind and
we wanna be right
but always wrong
were we born to be wrong?
is life something like that?
(in the end, for our whole lives we don’t know what tomorrow will be)”

19. Monster by Rap Monster from his mixtape

20. Joke. (you should probably know this)

I really did’nt want to include this because his 2 most famous tracks are Do you and Joke and I wanted to keep this list to the underrated but tbvh I was really surprised when I figured out that people don’t know this track.

In this track he said how he is mocking rappers who only have good flow but no sense of meaningful lyrics.

The lyrics in this song make no sense but the rap flow is too damn good. WHEN WATCHING THIS YOU WILL BE LIKE HONEY PLEASE BREATHE. HE RAPS SO FAST.

21. DO YOU BY RAP MONSTER ( (you should also probably know this)

In this track he talks about how at a young age society tells us what to be, how to look, what to wear, how to behave. He says fuck whatever they say and just do you.

23. Illest Bitch

A really cute confession from Namjoon going through Puberty

He also calls out white and black people in his latest single that is almost 5 minutes long. The song has a beginning, middle and end and is classic Lamar. He also warns to get your shit together by April 7th. Could his fourth album be released in less than a month?? Kendrick is gonna have hip hop fans saying Drake who? This latest single continues to solidify Lamar’s status as the greatest rapper of this generation. What do you think of Kendricks’s new song?

anonymous asked:

I have a few questions for the hiphop au(sorry theyre kinda angsty) How do you think Iwaizumi would react if he saw his uncle now? And what if his uncle promised he's changed and wants to "form a team" with Iwaizumi again and tries to convince Iwaizumi to box again? Would Iwaizumi believe him or give it a shot?

OHH Thank you!! Good question!! Heheh, and this AU screams for sad hcs, doesn’t it? I never mind the angsty asks for this one :D

The relationship between Hajime and his uncle is complex and difficult. The emotions Iwa has towards his uncle range from guilt to fear, over respect and anger to even something like love.

And even after all what happened Iwa still can’t let go of him. His uncle is the only family left. He and his wife raised Iwa, they took him in when he was little and were there for him.
His uncle hasn’t always been so angry. sure, his statements and his world view have always been kinda questionable but as a young kid Hajime didn’t notice and later it was something he grew up with. It got to him. Not always agreeing …getting older even agreeing less and less ..but it was there and..and just ..it is what it is. .HIs life, his family
Hajime’s uncle adored his little sister (Hajime’s mother),  he was strict with her, not always agreeing with her life choices, but loved her, and he didn’t take her death so well. But he was there for Hajime and tried. And Hajime is thankful for that. Also knowing that his mother loved her older brother (his uncle) makes him want to ..mh..love and respect him too…a connection he has to his mom…his family. He doesn’t want to disappoint him. There is guilt and fear

So this all said, Hajime still sees his uncle. Less and less and he is glad when he isn’t there when he visit his old home and his aunt (we get a glimpse here). But he sees him. And he feels responsible. He even tries to help them out with money. More his aunt than him..he is a drunk, he doesn’t want him to get the money for the wrong things. with all that happened sure Iwa slowly losing all his respect for his uncle. But there is more to this. And he just can’t break off the contact.
Also an interest thing to think about: after the drunken make out with Oikawa he goes back to his old home and visits his aunt and uncle ( he didn’t know his uncle wouldn’t be there…yes, he could assume so cause Sunday afternoon and he hoped so..but he dint know for sure)

So their relationship is strained and Iwa isn’t cheery around his uncle and he is happy if he doesn’t have to see him, but they do see each other on occasion.

You ask what would happen if his uncle promised he would change..or has changed. Mhh.. I think the problem with this is, that the uncle doesn’t really see he is wrong, so he doesn’t see the need to change. He is pissed at the world and at Hajime for quitting boxing and „running off“. I don’t think he would admit his mistakes and try to change. Not at this point in the story
I also guess for Iwa to believe that he would need to see it first. Test it out. Not only for the boxing part but for other important things. His anger, the alcohol use, his slurs and view on the world…Iwa would need to see that there is change and awareness. And I think even then he wouldn’t go back to boxing with him.
He still boxes once and then. Uses it as a workout and stress relief. But he doesn’t compete anymore and he mostly doesn’t fight against someone not even for practice but just uses the punching bag. He did stop after the incident but started again just once in while for a little workout.

Black History Month Spotlight: The Jpop Edition

Hey everybody! Yesterday on the first day of Black History Month, I posted my Black History Month: The K-Music Edition post. Even though I’m a khiphop blog so I mostly post about stuff going on in Korea, I like Jpop as well! I know of quite a few Black people in jpop so I thought I’d give them some shine too! (Side note: My BHM k-music post was actually supposed to be just as long as this one! I got sick in the middle of making it so I just posted what I did. I’m going to add more onto that post soon so look out for it!)

Mendy Sekiguchi

Mendy (also known as Mandy) Sekiguchi is a half Black, half Japanese performer (read: dancer) from Japan’s LDH company. Mendy was born in New Jersey but moved to Japan with his parents when he was very young. He is a member of Generations from EXILE Tribe and even made it into the legendary jpop group, EXILE.

Nesmith is a singer under LDH (get used to seeing that! Seriously). He is Black and Japanese. Nesmith has been a member of multiple groups during his time in LDH. He was a member of Nidaime J Soul Brothers, which was the second generation of J Soul Brothers. When that ended he was in The Second from EXILE Tribe as well as EXILE and Dance Party Earth of which he is still currently a member of!

Crystal Kay

Crystal, a Black and Korean descent, does numerous things but she is most known for being a singer. Crystal started her career in 1999 at just 13 years old. Eight years later in 2007 she had first number 1 album on the Oricon charts titled, ALL YOURS. In 2014, she signed to LDH where she became a member of Dance Party Earth. Crystal still operates as a solo artist under the label as well.

Jero (government name: Jerome Charles White Jr.) is the first ever Black Enka singer in Japanese history! When Jero, of Black and Japanese descent, came into the scene in 2008 with his first singe, “Umiyuki”, he entered the charts at number 4. He sparked much conversation about black artists. Jero fought with his record label, Victor Entertainment, to keep his hip-hop image despite the fact that he was in a more traditional Japanese genre. In the end, his company allowed him to keep his style. Y’all look at his slaying that doo rag and hat combo!

Elly (government name: Rikiya Elliot) is a performer in LDH’s Sandaime J Soul Brothers, the third and current generation of the group. Elly, of Black and Japanese descent, has been a part of 3JSB since 2014. He has also been involved with acting over the years. Elly has a little brother who is also in the recently debuted LDH group, The Rampage.

I sadly don’t know much about Likiya and can’t find much info about him (The Rampage is like brand new!) but y’all should look into him and his group as well as well! What I do know is that He was born in 1990 and is a performer (again, that’s a dancer for those who may not remember) just like older bro up there!

What about the boys S/O teaching them how to hip hop dance?

Of course! Hope you like it!

Korekiyo Shinguuji

  • He can’t do this at all.
  • He’s just not used to moving like this.
  • He’s impressed by the abilities that your body possesses, but that doesn’t change the fact that he looks like a cactus on drugs.
  • He follows your instructions to the letter, but he just can’t seem to move in the way you’re asking him to.
  • Which is pretty frustrating for him, but you honestly find it hilarious to watch.
  • Eventually he gives up, instead choosing to sit on the sidelines and watch as you practice.
  • It’s much more enjoyable for him, you’re very talented and it’s fascinating to watch the way your body moves.
  • He’ll have to observe your practices more often, but he won’t be participating again any time soon.

Amami Rantarou

  • When you propose the idea, he’s actually really excited! It sounds like a lot of fun!
  • He likes when you two do things together, even when he kind of has no idea what he’s doing.
  • But he really does want to learn anything you want to teach him, so he’ll follow your instructions.
  • And he’s actually not bad for a beginner! He’s listening attentively, asking questions, doing what he’s told, and really trying!
  • But honestly, he doesn’t really care about hip hop.
  • It’s fun! But he’s not gonna get into hip hop culture any time soon, he just likes being able to spend time with you doing something fun and learning more about you.
  • Maybe you’ll make this a regular thing.

Ouma Kokichi

  • “Hip hop? I can do that.”
  • …What?
  • Sure enough, he doesn’t wait for even a second before he begins showing off that he can in fact hip hop dance.
  • Extremely well?? ?
  • He doesn’t need you to teach him.
  • You wonder if you even could.
  • If anything he should be teaching you, frankly.
  • You actually ask him to, and he says no. His talents can’t be taught, they’re the genuine ability of a natural born leader!
  • He won’t even say where he learned it.
  • Natural talent, he insists!
  • But-
  • He didn’t practice for 17 hours a day the second he started dating you or anything like that.
  • And he CERTAINLY didn’t have his subjects find the best hip hop teachers his society had to offer for him.
  • And obviously he didn’t have constant training to try and impress you.
  • No way.

Shuuichi Saihara

  • He’s not really sure he can do any of this.
  • The way you dance, you just make it look so easy, he could never do that!
  • You promise him that it’s a learning process, and that he’ll get it if he just tries.
  • Besides, you wanna help him!
  • He acknowledges how talented you are, and says that yes, you’re probably a wonderful teacher, but he just doesn’t think he’s capable!
  • Finally after some back and fourth, he agrees to a few quick moves.
  • And honestly, he’s not very good. But you’re pretty sure he could be if he wasn’t so nervous about it!
  • You tell him to relax, hip hop isn’t about being tense, it’s about having fun and dancing your way.
  • He doesn’t really understand entirely, but he tries to loosen up a bit anyway.
  • And he does improve, once he starts having a little more fun with it!
  • He probably won’t be doing this again any time soon, but he really liked trying it with you.

Kaito Momota

  • He’s really excited, he knows a little bit of hip hop and he loves to dance, so he’s pumped to learn more, especially from you!
  • He’s a pretty good dancer and he’s very fit, so he’s easy to work with, especially since he’s eager to learn.
  • Beyond this just being something fun he can do with you, he actually enjoys it as a personal hobby as well.
  • But something he enjoys on his own AND with you? Now that’s just perfect!
  • He picks up the moves pretty quickly, so that’s not too difficult, but he keeps getting off topic.
  • Cracking jokes, tickling you, little things like that.
  • You keep having to get him back to focusing!
  • But you’ll admit you’re having a lot of fun.
  • This’ll definitely be a regular thing now.

  • He really, truly has no idea what he’s doing.
  • He doesn’t even know if his body CAN move in the way you’re moving yours.
  • He does his best, but the instructions just don’t make sense to him, and he can’t really figure out what he’s doing.
  • You can tell it makes him kind of upset, actually.
  • So you may or may not make up a few moves that you know he can do.
  • And when he sees he’s actually able to keep up with you, he’s elated!
  • Look! S/O! He can do it!
  • You’re glad he’s enjoying himself now, his happiness is more important to you than whether or not he can dance.
  • If he’s having fun, you’re happy.

Gonta Gokuhara

  • He’s terrible.
  • Absolutely terrible, not even close to good, just awful.
  • But he’s having so much fun, really, and he’s just adorable.
  • You bet with some practice he could actually be pretty good!
  • But right now it is just embarrassingly funny.
  • “Am I doing it right?”
  • Sure Gonta why not
  • This is 100% going to become a regular thing.

Ryouma Hoshi

  • No.
  • But-
  • No.
  • He is a terrible dancer and he doesn’t even wanna try.
  • You beg for a little bit, but ultimately, there’s no way he’s gonna do it.
  • However, he thinks you look pretty amazing when you dance, so he’ll still show up to watch you practice.
  • You really are amazingly talented.

All Facts Pt. 2 - Snap Dogg

Iwa-chan, do you remember how we first met? How you’ve been the light in this stuffy, dim club; still burning with the passion of your performance?
And I knew I was doomed the moment you smiled shyly, abashed over my interest for your music.
And how I wanted to kiss Tetsu-chan for introducing us? And how I wanted to beat this stray cat  for introducing us when he told me later to not get my hopes up ‘cause as far has he knows you are not into guys?
Of course you don’t remember. How could you remember something you don’t know.
