As I stress over the amount of work I have to do for school, I long for an opportunity to take a break and travel far, far away. Although I can’t necessarily afford to fly to Scotland at the moment, Tom Sterling’s grand tour of the beautiful country is the next best thing.
Highlands of Scotland with Tom Sterling takes us on a journey to a small but culturally tremendous region. I wish my job required me to travel all over the globe and make lecture films for the world to see. I’ve never been to any country in Europe, so the thought of a personal tour of one of Europe’s most beautiful tourist attractions makes me want see the film–and travel more.
Tom Sterling has traveled from Quebec to Bermuda to Scotland, and has been featured in National Geographic and The Smithsonian. His fascination and amazement with the world and his eagerness to bring it to the screen and share it with those around him is just one reason to watch his perspective on the wonderful country that is Scotland.
Highlands of Scotland with Tom Sterling will be showing at The Marquee in Union South on Monday, February 22nd and Tuesday, February 23rd at 7:30 pm and you can also enjoy a pre-show buffet influenced by the region’s cuisine. Tickets can be bought online here or by calling 608-265-ARTS.
