I will never not dig this song.

“I Go Crazy,” Flesh for Lulu

anonymous asked:

oh yea?? you're a SPIDEYPOOL fan??? name five of their albums

1) the debut album: we’re not friends
2) we’re more like lovers, feat. superior spider-man
3) is this your dream or mine? high school anthems feat. hypno hustler
4) their smash hit: no killing
5) hit me spidey (one more time) feat. hit monkey

I did this thing.

01.) a song you’d kick zombie ass to during the apocalypse
Mumford & Sons - Dustbowl Dance
I mean it doesn’t really get much more epic than this, does it?

02.) a song you’ve heard live
Sigur Rós - Svefn-g-englar (live at Paradiso)
I was at this very gig. I cried. A lot.

03.) a song that reminds you of your favorite fictional character
Iron & Wine - Woman King
This song just exudes Éowyn.

04.) a song that was your middle school/high school anthem
Linkin Park - Breaking The Habit
I really didn’t like my life back then. Music was an escape. I loved this album to bits.

05.) a song that reminds you of your best friend
Muse - Psycho
kristoffernordfeldt and me shouted along to ths in the car once. It was great. Any Muse song always reminds me of her, to be honest.

06.) a song that would play in the movie trailer of your life
Jason Mraz - Song For A Friend
It had to be Jason Mraz song, so it might as well be my favourite Jason Mraz song. (Also look at that babiest of faces in that video. How old is that. Wow.)

07.) a song that reminds you of somewhere
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home
I’m on a nearly empty bus from Tongariro National Park to Taupo. The sun is coming in through the window. The bus turns and I have the most magnificant view of this gorgeous New Zealand valley.

08.) a favorite song from last year
Paolo Nutini - Iron Sky
It has THAT Charlie Chaplin speech.

09.) a song with a color in the title
Jamie Lidell - Green Light
I always get this song stuck in my head when I’m waiting at a traffic light.

10.) a song that would be your own country’s national anthem
Tangarine - Lessons And Sermons
I don’t even know why. Some home town pride, maybe?

11.) a song by an artist you’re not-so-secretly crushing on
Hozier - It Will Come Back
Oh man I’d let Hozier do things to me, you know?

12.) a song that reminds you of your favorite season
Ingrid Michaelson - You And I
It’s almost as if the sun starts shining the second I press play on this one. Springtime even in the middle of winter.

13.) a song you play when you need to go on a crying jag
James Vincent McMorrow - Follow You Down To The Red Oak Tree
Have you heard this song?

14.) a song you’d like to kiss to
Elbow - Mirrorball
For some reason this song is really sexy to me.

15.) a song with lyrics you’d like to tattoo on yourself
Passenger - Life’s For The Living
Don’t you cry for the lost
Smile for the living
Get what you need and give what you’re given
Life’s for the living so live it
Or you’re better off dead

Me singing the national anthem for my high school graduation 2015 :) It was an honor!!

So I recently graduated, as I may have said. A lot. And I got to achieve one of my dreams before leaving high school: singing the National Anthem in front of a crowd. High school was a great adventure, that I’ll never forget. I found parts of myself, I found my dreams. I found my best friends that I hope I will have forever.
Hopefully the next dream that comes true will be either meeting Taylor, or recording my songs. (hi taylorswift)

The Wombats ‘Glitterbug’ - album review

English indie rock band The Wombats have released their third debut album entitled Glitterbug in mid-April this year, and in classic alternative yet popular fashion, they just keep getting better. The Wombats’ debut album A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation was a clear exemplar of indie rock high school anthems, while their second album This Modern Glitch was more experimental with underground dance music. Glitterbug is nonetheless a step forward from the two, fully embracing the growing pop energy and living up to the album’s exuberant name. The fan base is clearly enthralled by the band’s revival of the post-punk aesthetic of honest and witty alternative lyrics mixed with modern dance music and catchy tunes.
