High school musical is a metaphor for bisexuality in that basketball is the straights and theater is the gays and when Troy’s dad said “you’re a basketball player not a singer” Troy says “WHAT IF I WANNA BE BOTH” and the whole team acts like they’re SHOOK
what she means:
Gabriella opens her mouth at the start of breaking free to sing and can't because of stage fright. But then the first line of the song is sung by Troy?? Was she meant to start it instead? Did he take her lines because she was nervous? Did they sing the whole song singing the wrong parts? Was that not really difficult and confusing to do? Do they switch back at any point? When? Or was there maybe a whole line at the start of the song that Gabriella was meant to sing that we never heard???? Did something come before we're soaring, flying??? What are we missing out on? Will we ever know???
I’m so sick of this stigma that theatre geeks’ favorite musicals can’t be High School Musical or Les Mis or Wicked or Phantom or Hamilton or any other popular musicals. Like. There is a reason it is popular, and that’s because it’s good.
