Hello! Can I please request you write something about Jumin getting drunk and suddenly calls out Rika's name while MC/Reader is taking care of him?

Title: Shadow

Fandom: Mystic Messenger
Genre: Romance/Angst
Characters|Pairing: Jumin Han x MC/Reader/You

Disclaimer: This post is word heavy

a|n this was the most evil request i’ve ever received. whoever you are, thank you for breaking my heart while writing this. how could you. *cries for juju *also cries for self

The shadows of your heart
are hanging in the sweet, sweet air
The secrets that you hide
controls us and it’s just not fair

You were not ignorant of anything. In the little time you were able to spend with the members of the RFA, you have been given clues about the former mistress who used to run the association. The former mistress who, according to them, died due to suicide. You were not able to meet her in person but you’ve been given photos of her to look at while she was still alive.

They said her name was Rika.

What a beautiful name. What an even more beautiful personality. She made the organization to distribute and bring happiness for everyone. They said she’s engaged to be married to the current acting President, V. You wondered how was he able to cope up with her death?

You knew that Yoosung, Rika’s cousin was still mourning. It’s a given. He said they’ve been close since he was young. Everybody in the association admired and respected her and of course — in return, you did as well. With all the praises and beautiful things about her, you couldn’t help yourself but look up to her. A perfect role model. She did everything by herself, turning the RFA, which was named after her, an organization that would reflect her wishes.
Her pure, untainted hopes.
What a wonderful woman, you mused.

Yet, you found yourself as the replacement of the woman who died and left this earth. All of a sudden, just by accidentally downloading an app, you found yourself slowly become a part of something warmer than the sun — the friendship you gained with each member.

You are not ignorant. Yes, definitely, you weren’t. You are the kind of woman who knew where her boundary lies. You were not the type to go beyond or over something without carefully thinking about it.

But in the hands of love, everyone looses their own reasoning.

❝ You saved a man!! ❞

Plot: You’re one of Korea’s top surgeon and there’s an accident in Big Hit Bulding and you’ve to perform an emergency surgeon in front of the guys.

Words count: 2,3k+

Genre: “Real life”??

For anon, I hope you like it cutie! - M.

Gif aren’t mine, credits to the owner! ♥

P.S. Y/N’s older than Jimin because she couldn’t be one of Korea Top Doctor if she was Jimin’s age.

It was two years that you didn’t see Jimin, either because of his schedules but also of yours. You were dating for a few months when you were teenagers, but your crush hadn’t diminished over the years and despite the distance, you were left in excellent relationships.

So when he asked you to see you, because he knew you were back in Korea after two years of absence because of your work, your heart had made a deadly leap and the smile had no longer left your face.

You were older than Jimin, to tell the truth, was your younger brother the person who had made you know, but he had always been more mature than his age and it was for that reason that you had developed feelings for him.

Despite the agitation of that day, you had decided in less than twenty minutes what to wear and you were extremely satisfied with your outfit. Nothing too sexy but not too chaste, yes you wanted to win him over somehow because you still liked Park Jimin.  By checking your phone you wrote a message to him, telling him that you were out of the building and that you couldn’t get in as they had perfectly made you understand it wanted the pass.

You watched in the reflection of a showcase nearby, wishing to have put less lip gloss and wondering if those shoes matched the skinny jeans you wore at that time.

“To Hell, I’m fine so…” You murmured when a hand tapped on your shoulder and his reflection in the showcase smiled at you.

And that was another blow to the heart for you because you didn’t know how it was possible but he had become a thousand time handsome than you remembered.

Slowly you turned and his smile became even more gentle and especially bright, as he opened his arms and allowed you to hide among them. It was a hug full of meaning, of words that didn’t need to be said. You laid your chin against his shoulder, with heels you could reach his height, forcefully clenching your arms around his waist and fully inhaling his scent that still had some effect on you.

“You’re even more beautiful than I remembered!”

“And you even more inclined to flirt.”

Jimin burst to laugh, moving little to be able to look into your eyes while moving a strand of hair behind your ear.  The butterflies in your stomach have begun to dance, you can even feel your legs shaking and your hands, pressed gently against his back, tremble in the same way as your legs.

“Can we g-go inside..? I wouldn’t want your fans to think anything strange if they see us… ”

He simply nodded and loosened the grip on you, transforming the hug and leaving only a hand resting against your back in order to guide you. You didn’t remember that jimin so at ease, but you liked it because for once his shyness didn’t interrupt any kind of contact.

You followed him quietly, observing the building and listening carefully to what he told you and remaining fascinated by the fact that they had just moved and the achievements they reached. Obviously, you know them, you’re a fan of BTS even if you never admitted it with him and at the bottom of your heart you always knew that they would achieve a worldwide success.

Jimin continued to speak, without ever leaving your side and especially without moving the hand from your back when two people almost jumped in front of you, making you just wince.

“YAH! JUNGKOOK-AH! HYUNG! ” Jimin screamed, covering your with part of his body almost wanted to hide you from two of his bandmates.

The youngest smiled at you immediately, despite the slight redness on his cheeks made you realize that he was extremely embarrassed. While the other moved Jimin and took your hand, pretending a kiss on your hand and making you blush immediately.

“Hyung!”

“Jimin-ah, you have so charming friends and you don’t tell us???”

Namjoon smiled at his friend, obviously, it’s all a joke at that time and in his gaze, you noticed something different. The way he watched Jimin when he kissed your hand makes you realize that there is something you don’t know, something the latter hid from you, and curiosity was already starting to pop inside you.

“Nice to meet you.” You murmured with a little bow, seeing Jungkook observing you with the same smile that Namjoon had addressed shortly before to Jimin.

“Our pleasure, Noona. Jimin told us a lot about you! ”

“Jungkook-ah!”

That confession could do nothing but please you, while you mentally began to dance a kind of victory dance. If he had spoken of you, there were extreme possibilities that your crush wasn’t one side type.

Together with the other two, you started walking in the direction of the rehearsal room, where the other four were simply chatting as they had finished a heavy day of rehearsals.

“Finally!” Yelled Taehyung, who you immediately recognized thanks to his characteristic smile, as he approached you and vigorously shook your hand with joy.  At that time you understood why him was so tied to Taehyung, they were practically two cupcakes disguised as sunbeams.

“Guys, she’s Y/N.. My childhood friend, do you remember? ”

The other three greeted with a nod of the hand and a huge smile, but suddenly a strange roar echoed all over the floor and caught all eight of them by surprise.

“What the heck..” Seokjin and Yoongi murmured in chorus while screaming outside the rehearsal room began to make you realize that something had to have happened.

Without waiting and ignoring the “where the hell are you going y/n?” by Jimin, you ran to the door and opening it you found yourself in front of a cloud of dust and smoke, while some people were screaming to call the rescue immediately. The building was new but apparently, a non-bearing column had collapsed, causing all that dust and maybe some injured.

“Where are you going? We stay in the rehearsal room until the rescue arrives. ”

Jimin’s voice was shaken, trembled and you could feel it perfectly but you weren’t instructed to remain helpless in those situations. You smiled to reassure him and you started walking in the midst of the smoke, knowing that he wouldn’t follow you because that of the unknown was a rational fear of every human being, and he didn’t know what was expected in the midst of that cloud of dust.

Cloud that immediately began to dissipate thanks to the perfectly functioning ventilation systems, so your view was more facilitated in following the groans of some of the wounded. With a clinical look, you realize that no one seemed to have really hurt when a moan different from others took your attention.

You paraded your shoes and ran towards that voice, biting your bottom lip forcefully when the boy who was looking for help was on the ground with a metal bar stuck into his abdomen.

“Hey, I’m Y/N. I’m a surgeon and you’re in great hands.. But I’m telling you now that this bar will have to come with you to the hospital unless firefighters saw it. ”

Your voice was sweet and kind, one of the first things they had taught you was to reassure the patient in any way. The more nervous the patient was, the more was the risk of aggravating any condition.

A middle-aged man came up to you, coughing lightly, and you asked if the rescues had already been warned and his affirmative answer gave you more security and peace of mind.

“What’s your name?”

“Lu.. L-Lu.. ” He began to say but immediately began breathing with wheezing, almost as if he had something stuck in his throat.

It was an alarm bell for you so you immediately bent your head backward and opened his mouth, recovering in the meantime from your bag a small portable flashlight. By making light in the oral cavity you noticed a huge amount of soot, caused by the fall of the column, and some pieces of concrete that obstructed the airways. And it was certainly not the best news for you at that time.

“Don’t talk, try to stay conscious, all right?” You ordered to him, but his breath became every second ever more strenuous, while his heartbeat decelerated rapidly.

He would be suffocated if you hadn’t intervened promptly. Luckily the bar in his abdomen, somehow, stopped the bleeding and wasn’t the main problem. You turned to the man next to you and ordered him to find any kind of knife and a lighter, causing an absolute confusion in man.

“DAMN IT, MOVE!” You screamed, however, keeping the calm and the cold blood, while the man nodded and began to run in search of the objects that you had just asked.

“Y/N what are you doing???” Jimin asked after reached you along with the other six, while you started poking around in your purse finding what you needed.

You didn’t love vodka, but that little bottle found in your hotel room’s mini bar would have been incredibly helpful. With fast and precise gestures you would remove the tip and the barrel with the ink from the pen found in your bag, starting to pour over half bottle and thanking the man who had just returned with a small kitchen knife and the lighter. It had passed a few moments but no one could be wasted, so you took the knife and spilled the remaining transparent liquid on the blade and then repeatedly pass the flame of the lighter on it, trying to sterilize it as much as possible.

“Is she going to do what I think..?” Hoseok asked, with a distraught tone, while Jimin was blocking your hand and observing you as if you were crazy.

“Y/N; It’s not a movie. ”

“Exactly and if you keep holding my hand, this boy will die. ” You hissed in a cold tone, the surgeon who was in you had just come out in the open, yanking gently your wrist and rid from his grip.

With precise moves, you swipe your finger on his Adam’s apple, until you reach the cricoid cartilage. You had taken that action so many times that you could have done it even with your eyes closed. Two deep breaths, made by holding the pen ledge between the teeth, and you started practicing a small incision of an inch, pressing forcefully to make the cut as deep as its length.

Immediately the cricothyroid membrane showed up in front of you, in all its horrible appearance, so effortlessly you practiced the second incision albeit smaller, putting without problems the straw of the ballpoint pen.

The beating of the boy, you had tightened his wrist a second before, was slowly increasing and bending toward him you blew twice in the straw, hoping that he will automatically resume breathing. The compressions were not a useful action at that time because with the compressions you risked of moving the metal bar and aggravating his conditions.

One, two, three, four, five, you were almost at the sixth second when the boy’s chest began, again, to rise and fall and a sigh of relief will escape you from your lips, while you are sitting backward.

“What the hell is this, a Grey’s Anatomy episode..?”

“Daebak….”

“HOW THE HELL DID SHE DO IT???

“NOONA YOU SAVED A MAN!”

The voices of the six Bangtan arrived soon after, while your gaze rested on the boy next to you who hadn’t distracted his eyes from you even for a second. You were dirty with blood on your blouse, on your hands, and maybe even on your face, but he was looking at you in a way that could, incredibly, make you blush.

“How the hell did you do it..?”

“You never asked me what I did to live, Jimin..” You murmured with a smile, controlling in the meantime the young man’s heartbeat. It was slow but stable and luckily the rescues came right at that time.

“Who has practiced this tracheotomy?” one of the men asked, observing you and then laying his gaze on your dirty clothes; “Who gave her permission, Miss? You could kill him. ”

“I’m a surgeon.”

Showing your badge made the paramedic open wide his eyes, whispering to his colleague “She’s Y/N Y/L/N, unbelievable…”

“You should bring this man to the hospital right away, you’re not here to whispering silly things.” You hummed slightly annoyed and they immediately nodded, bowing with reverence and checking the boy’s vital parameters, deciding how to act because of the metal bar.

In slow steps you walked away, going to slam against Seokjin who was watching you with admiration, though he hadn’t yet pronounced a word.

“Noona.. Are you a surgeon?? ”

“Yes, Jungkook.. I was abroad to take a specialization, but let’s say I graduated very early. ”

“Daebak” all seven murmured in chorus, making you blush slightly.

“Y/N.. You opened that man’s neck. ”

“He couldn’t breathe jimin..”

“Daebak…”

“GUYS IT’S NOT A BIG DEAL” You exclaimed, embarrassed because of their looks when all of a sudden, all seven encircled you, hugging you with a loud screams of pure joy.

“G-Guys, I can’t breathe!”

“NOONA YOU’RE AMAZING!!”

“Hey, let her, you can’t touch Her!” Jimin almost seemed to smoke with jealousy while he was pushing them away, who began to tease him jokingly and pinching his side.

“May I ask you something, Y/n?”

“Obvious.”

The wait wasn’t one of the things you loved most, but knowing him you knew that however shyness was part of him so maybe you had to give him time to formulate the phrase in the best way.

But without saying anything he leaned towards you and grazed your lips with his, for a handful of seconds, leaving you completely shocked. The whistles of approval arrived almost immediately, while two of their managers came running to tell them to leave the building but your gaze couldn’t move from Jimin’s, who was blushed as much as you.

“Will you give me a date, doctor?”

“Surgeon, please. And yes, I waited all these years only for this. ”

- Five Years Later -

Dean drove as fast as he could to the hospital, his heart racing as he ran the worse case scenarios in his mind. He turned off the engine, and ran inside the building, running to the closest nurse. “I’m here for Y/N!”

The nurse checked the clipboard she was holding. “She’s in Room 156.” Dean barely waited for the man to finish telling him which room she was in before he sprinted to that direction, throwing the door open.

“Y/N! Are you okay? What happened?” he fired various questions as he held her face in his hands, his eyes roaming around her body.

“I just fainted at work. It’s okay, Dean.” She put her hands on his wrists, giving it a squeeze before pulling it down to her lap. “I’m okay.”

He kissed her forehead, rubbing her back while doing so. “You’re going to take a one week vacation from work. Deal?”

Y/N laughed, but nodded. “Only if you’re taking a week off too.”

“I will.”

“Y/N?” The general doctor on-call knocked on the door before entering. She was in her mid-40s, a hijab framing her tanned skin, and a mole on her left cheek. She’s only been working in the hospital for a couple of months, but knew of Y/N from working several shifts with her already. As well as the fact that Y/N was promoted to be head nurse two years ago, and that role meant that she was to remember all of the names of the doctors that are in her precinct.

“Hey, Dr. Hussain.” Y/N greeted, giving the woman a warm smile.

“Oh, Y/N. How many times do I have to tell you to just call me Sarah?” She waved her hand, dismissing the formalities between them. “I heard about what happened, and the other nurses told me you’ve been feeling pretty unwell these past few weeks.”

She nodded, ignoring the worried looks Dean was giving her. “Yes. I just thought I was coming down with something.”

The doctor nodded, pulling out her charts.

Penelope & Derek’s Matchmaking Service

Prompt: The reader and Reid both have a crush on the other person but are too scared of ruining their friendship to tell the other person. Penelope decided to give them a little push and drags Derek into her mischevious scheme.

A/N: This was an idea that popped into my head because I could definitely see Morgan and Garcia meddling in their coworkers love lives. I’m not opposed to making a part two of this, so let me know if that’s something that you would want. Also, anyone who can catch the subtle F.R.I.E.N.D.S. reference that is in here somewhere is my favorite person ever. Enjoy :)

Penelope sighed in frustration as she watched you and Spencer alternate staring at each other. It was almost painful the way that neither of you actually caught the other doing so. It was like some form of fate caused you to look away a second before Spencer decided to look up. Derek noticed her standing in the doorway. “Hey Baby Girl,” he called and walked over to her. She muttered a “hello” before huffing and crossing her arms. “Whoa whoa whoa, what’s the matter gorgeous? Those processing systems in that big brain of yours hung up on something?”

“How does it not drive you crazy?” she mumbled and Morgan raised an eyebrow at her.

“How does what not drive me crazy?”

“The two of them!” she whisper-shouted and spun around walking off toward her lair. Derek rolled his eyes, but obediently followed her down the hall.

“Gonna need a little more information sweetness,” he told her, leaning against the doorframe.

“Oh c’mon, do I need to spell it out for you? (Y/N) and Spencer. The way those two are pining after each other it’s both sickening and sweet at the same time. I’m not even a profiler and I can tell that they are head over heels. I mean I know (Y/N) is because she told me one night when I got her super drunk with the intent of forcing the information out of her, but that is beside the point,” Penelope explained as she pulled up the bullpen’s security video feed and maneuvered the cameras so they were facing you and Spencer’s desks.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m people watching.”

“Do you do this all the time?” Morgan asked standing behind her chair.

“Only when we don’t have a case or anything else to do,” Penelope defended, “You would not believe how boring it gets in here and you people never come visit me!”

“But why- you know what nevermind. Just please tell me that you don’t mess with the cameras in my office.”

“My vision, you are the object of my affection but for the most part my attentions have been focussed on my current OTP as you never do anything interesting in your office.”

“Forgive me for actually doing work instead of making googly eyes at my coworkers.”

“So you have noticed!”

“Of course I’ve noticed. The whole team has noticed. The only ones in the dark about it are the two of them,” Derek chuckled. Penelope smiled as she watched the two of you. You had gone over to ask Spencer something, but he had been so focused on his work you’d startled him and he’d almost spilled his coffee all over himself.

“They are so cute,” she sighed, “Derek I want my OTP to be together!”

“Somehow I don’t think we get a vote or have the power to make that happen,” he replied, kissing the top of her head. Penelope suddenly perked up.

“But what if we did?”

“What are you talking about?” he asked as she spun her chair around.

“What if there was a way that we could force Reid’s hand and make him admit something or ask her out?”

“Baby Girl, Reid has specifically told me that he doesn’t want me messing with this. You think I haven’t tried to get him to make a move?”

“He told you that, but he never told me,” she chirped, turning back toward her computer and started typing away. She pulled up a website for custom floral arrangements and started clicking on various options.

“What are you doing?”

“Creating something that all of you men hate. Competition,” she replied, patting the side of his face. A few more minutes of meddling the order had been placed, ready to be delivered tomorrow morning.

“Why do I get the feeling I’m going to be the one he blames for this?” Derek sighed shaking his head.

“Ha, do not worry my vision. If all goes bad, we pretend like it never happened,” Penelope told him.

You walked into the bullpen the next morning smiling happily as you carried two cups of coffee. You glanced around looking for Spencer, before nonchalantly setting one of the cups down on his desk and arranged the mountain of sugar packets you’d also brought into an orderly pile. You quickly scurried back to your desk and sat down, trying to look casual as you waited for Spencer to arrive. “No coffee for the rest of us, I’m genuinely hurt,” Derek teased, as he sat down on your desk.

“Hey, the only order I remember is Spence’s because it’s the easiest thing ever: a large black coffee and then just bring the whole container of sugar to him,” you replied trying to casually look around him.

“Uh huh,” Morgan muttered, clearly unconvinced.

“Good morning,” Reid said as he walked over to his desk past the two of you.

“Hi, Spencer,” you chirped, “I stopped for coffee this morning and brought you some.”

“Thank you so much, you would not believe the morning I’ve had. How much do I owe you?”

“Don’t worry about it,” you replied tucking your hair behind your ear.

“Well, thank you. Did you know that coffee was banned three times in three different cultures: once in Mecca in the 16th century, once when Charles II in Europe banned the drink in an attempt to quiet an ongoing revolution, and once when Frederick the Great banned coffee in Germany in 1677 because he was concerned people were spending too much money on the drink,” he rambled. You smiled and shoved Morgan off of your desk, so you could actually see Spencer.

“Well, I didn’t know that, but I do know that banning coffee should be a crime,” you giggled. Reid smiled back at you and opened his mouth to say something but suddenly went pale. “What’s-”

“I have a delivery for a Miss (Y/N) (Y/L/N),” a man said cutting you off.

“That would be me,” you replied, turning around. “What can..I..do..” you stuttered as you came face to face with a huge vase of lilies and red roses.

“Sign here please,” the delivery man said, handing you a clipboard and setting the vase down on your desk. You scribbled your signature down on the form and handed it back to the man. “Have a nice day,” he said walking away.

“Yeah, you too,” you muttered still too focussed on your flowers.

“Oh my god, those are gorgeous,” JJ mentioned as she walked over to your desk.

“Who are they from?” Emily asked, joining the two of you.

“I have no idea,” you replied, pulling the card off the side of the vase.

“Read it,” JJ urged leaning in closer. None of you noticed that Spencer had unconsciously leaned closer to the group as well trying to listen.

“Nothing can ever compare to your beauty, but these flowers are certainly a nice way to compliment it. I hope these make that lovely smile of yours appear on your face, signed your secret admirer,” you read out loud and closed the card.

“Oooh, this is interesting,” Emily said nudging your shoulder.

“Any idea who it could be?” JJ asked.

“Not a clue,” you replied, sitting back down in your chair, “I’m not seeing anyone and no one has asked me out recently.”

“Anyone who you hope it is?”

“Yeah, but considering he hasn’t shown the slightest sign of interest I’m pretty sure it isn’t him,” you mumbled. Unbeknownst to you, Spencer had wandered away into the break room fuming. This happened every time he’d finally work up the courage to ask you out on a date or flirt with you at all something would happen. Morgan would come interrupt,  Hotch would suddenly announce that you had a case, or in this case, some jerk would write you poetry and send you flowers. He downed the rest of the coffee that you had bought him and started making another cup.

“You ok, Pretty Boy?” Derek asked watching Spencer stir the coffee quite angrily.

“Just peachy,” Spencer growled.

“Ya know, you could just ask her out. (Y/N) has no idea who sent her those flowers,” Derek casually mentioned.

“Ha yeah right, I’m reasonably certain she’d rather have fancy flower man whoever he is,” he grumbled.

“Fancy flower man? Really Reid, that’s the best you can come up with?” Derek asked trying not to laugh.

“I have plenty of other vulgar things I could call him so don’t push it.”

“Hey, I’m not the one encroaching on your girl, but I would recommend you do something about it before you loose her to fancy flower man.”

“You think I should what?”

“Well, you’re her friend. I’m pretty sure you can find a way to top the giant array of flowers that he sent her.”

“I definitely could,” Spencer muttered, deep in thought, “I need to get to work but first I’m going to get Garcia to figure out who sent those to her.”

“Uh,” Derek stuttered, trying to come up with a way to divert him, “Why does it matter who it is? You should be more concerned with your plan to woo her, you can worry about who it was later.”

“You’re right. I’m going to take my lunch early. I need to go get a few things,” Spencer said and quickly rushed back to his desk to grab his wallet. Derek sighed in relief, happy that he’d managed to redirect Reid’s thought process, and made himself a cup of coffee. Your sudden presence in the break room caught his attention. “And where are you going lady of the hour?” he asked sipping his coffee.

“I’m grabbing another sugar for my coffee and then I’m going to get Garcia to find out who this admirer person is.” Derek did a spit take and started coughing. “Whoa, you ok?”

“Yes, yes, I’m fine. But maybe you should just let this play out? See if he reveals himself to you?”

“Derek, I just want to know who it is so I can tell him I’m not interested. There’s only one guy who’s attention I want and he seems to not really care.”

“Sweetness, Reid is a great guy just a little awkward and shy when it comes to ladies, you might try being a bit more obvious about it,” he teased. You furrowed your brow and slowly turned your head toward him.

“How did you know I have a crush on Spencer?”

“I’m a profiler and I’m really good at my job.” Derek replied.

“Yeah sometimes I forget what we do for a living.”

“And the fact that Penelope can’t keep her mouth shut,” he muttered quietly to himself. Just not quiet enough.

“What did you say?”

“Nothing!”

“I’m going to kill her!” you growled and stormed off toward Penelope’s office.

“No no no, wait!” Derek shouted as he chased after you. You tore the door open and walked in.

“Hello my lovely, what can I do for you today?” Penelope chirped. You narrowed your eyes at her before flicking her on the side of the head.

“OW!” she shrieked. “What was that for?”

“I cannot believe you told Derek that I like Spencer. I told you that in confidence and you swore you wouldn’t tell another soul,” you fumed.

“Technically you told me that while you were drunk.”

“Same thing!”

“But you know I tell my chocolate thunder everything, so you should’ve expected this.”

“Ugh, my life is over,” you whined. “Spencer is still acting weird and now some stranger has sent me flowers. Can you make yourself useful and tell me who sent those at least?”

“I take offense to that comment!”

“Who told shared a secret that she swore she would take to the grave?”

“Fine,” she muttered, “but I already know who sent them. I looked it up earlier.”

“Then who is it?”

“It’s uh, Brian in payroll,”

“Brian in payroll?”

“Mhm,” she mumbled, twisting a piece of hair around her finger.

“Uh huh, does Brian in payroll have a last name?” you asked crossing your arms.

“Yes, yes he definitely does.”

“Yeah? What it is then?”

“Well, I can tell you that it is most certainly not Morgan or Garcia.”

“Penelope,” you groaned. “Why would you do that?”

“I’m just trying to spice it up, you know force our dearest doctor’s hand.”

“Yes and in doing that you’ve managed to scare him. He took off fifteen minutes ago,” you grumbled flopping down in the chair beside her.

“Aw, sweets it’s gonna be ok.”

“My life is over.”

“Hey look on the bright side, at least you got some bitchin flowers,” she said trying to lighten the mood. You lifted your head and glared at her.

“Not funny.”

“(Y/N), you need to get back to your desk and take a look at this,” Derek said as he walked into Penelope’s office.

“And you! You knew she was going to do this and you didn’t stop her,” you growled and stalked over to him, poking his chest.

“As upset as you are right now, I really think you should just go back to your desk. You might like what you find,” Derek replied pushing your hand away. You narrowed your eyes at him.

“If this is another part of this BS plan you two have going on, I’m going to kill you both,” you grumbled, stalking down the hallway.

“What are you doing?” Penelope whispered at Derek, as they followed you.

“Just watch,” he replied with a smug look on his face. You were expecting to see yet another bouquet of flowers that the two of them had sent to you, but you certainly weren’t expecting this. Your desk was scattered with various pieces of paper and rose petals. A large white teddy bear was sitting in your chair with a bouquet of gardenias nestled in its arms and a bag of (Y/F/C) tucked in beside it. You stood rooted in place out of surprise until Derek gave you a slight nudge. You walked forward and picked up one of the pieces of paper. You smiled as you recognized Spencer’s handwriting and started reading. It was a poem by Christina Rossetti, one of your favorites actually “I loved you first”. You had talked about this with Spencer months ago, when you both discovered your shared love of poetry. From the looks of it, he had managed to write down all of your favorite poems on these little notes (probably including a few of his own favorites) and put them all over your desk. You plucked the bouquet of gardenias out of the bear’s arms and smelled them.

“Red roses traditionally symbolize love and passion while gardenias’ symbolize pure, secret love which more accurately displays how I feel about you,” Spencer mumbled from behind you. You immediately spun around and dropped the bouquet back in your chair, before throwing your arms around his neck and crashing your lips into his. He seemed to be stunned for a few seconds, before kissing you back and wrapping his arms around your waist. Hoots and hollers came from all around the office, mainly from Penelope and Emily. You separated a little breathlessly and rested your forehead against his. The pair of you were smiling from ear to ear. “Please tell me this isn’t a dream,” he muttered closing his eyes.

“Nope,” you replied popping the “p”, “I’m real.”

“So I take it you like me too or else I think you’ve been sending some very mixed signals.” You chuckled and kissed him again.

“Does that answer your question?” you asked, after you’d pulled back.

“I think it does, and to think I had a whole speech planned out to make you at least go on one date with me,” he replied scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. You just shook your head and smiled at him.

“That’s so sweet, but how on earth did you have time to set this up? I couldn’t have been gone more than fifteen minutes,” you said, turning slightly to look at your desk,

“14 minutes and 23 seconds actually, but I’ve had the notes sitting in my bag for about a week now,” he told you.

“Ok, that’s enough, back to work all of you,” Hotch said, commotion having finally drawn him out of his office. There was a collective “sorry” muttered from around the office, before Hotch turned his attention to the two of you. “Do we need to have a conversation or can I trust that this isn’t going to affect work?”

“I think we’re good,” you answered.

“Good, now I need to call Dave and inform him that he owes me twenty bucks as do the two of you,” Hotch chuckled motioning JJ and Emily. The two women groaned slightly before reaching for their purses.

“Wait, what?” Spencer asked raising an eyebrow, keeping his arms wrapped around your waist.

“To make a long story short, we started a pool going for how long it would take the two of you to get together after three months of watching the two of you flirt. I had yesterday, Hotch had today, Rossi had tomorrow, and JJ had next Monday,” Emily explained as she walked up the stairs and handed the money to Hotch, who gladly pocketed it and went back in his office to presumably call Rossi who was off on vacation time.

“I cannot believe this! How many people in this office are invloved in our love lives?” you cried in frustration, even though you were smiling.

“Wait, who else is involved in our love life?” Spencer asked, looking down at you confused.

“And that’s our cue to run chocolate thunder,” Penelope muttered, as she took off running dragging Derek along behind her. You shook your head and laughed, all irritation suddenly vanishing.

“Wonder what that was about,” Reid thought out loud, as you unwound from his arms and moved all his gifts out of your chair.

“Don’t worry about it, just remind me to tell Brian from payroll to send her some flowers,” you told him. He looked very confused but just shrugged and kissed your forehead. You grinned up at him, knowing that this was the start of one of the best times in your life.

Please write a short fic about tony catching peter drinking i would die omg

“Hey, Peter,”

He froze, eyes widening as he heard the all-too-familiar sound of expensive leather brogues scuffing along the floor a few meters from him, and he turned quickly, brow furrowed into a deep V as he watched Tony wander up to him, all smiles and casual posture, hands buried in the pockets of his grease-stained jeans. He looked like he’d come straight from the workshop, stopping only to throw on a leather jacket along the way.

Why he was here at all, however, made no sense at all.

“T- Mr Stark,” Peter said, trying to communicate with him through eyebrow movements alone. If it turned out that he had to suit up and help out somewhere, he was pretty fucked, considering the fact he’d had a bit to drink at the party he’d been invited to.

Well. He said ‘a bit’. It was possibly more accurate to say ‘a fucking shit-ton’, but whatever.

Tony looked at him blankly, before shooting another smile toward the circle of people who were stood around Peter and staring quite blatantly at the both of them. “Hello, ladies and gentlemen, I’m afraid I have to take Mr Parker away. He’s an intern at Stark Industries, you know how it is. Lots of work, yadda yadda, okay bye,”

And before Peter could even open his mouth, Tony had grabbed him by the arm and snatched the solo cup out of his hand almost angrily, pulling him away from the group of people and through the crowds of rowdy teenagers that littered the huge house.

“Uh, Mr Stark, wha’dd’ya want me for, exactly?” Peter asked, speaking loudly above the blaring music and wincing at how slurred his voice came out.

It had been a weird month, okay. He was just trying it out.

Tony paused, and Peter saw him purse his lips even tighter before beginning to walk again, guiding Peter through the crowds and holding him tight as he stumbled a little.

“Hey, Parker, leaving so soon?” Flash called out from somewhere to his left, and Peter stopped turning to face him as the other boy wandered toward them. “We haven’t even begun yet, Jesus, are you a pussy or what-”

“Kid,” and suddenly Tony had let go, spinning around and walking up to Flash, who seemed to suddenly recognise who exactly Tony was, because his eyes went hilariously wide and he stumbled backward a few steps. Peter snorted involuntarily, and he saw Tony turn briefly, before shaking his head and looking back to Flash, “it seems like you’re having an absolute ball here, but I’m gonna say something and I’m only going to say it once.”

Tony looked down at Flash, eyes harsh as he drew a little closer. “Leave. Peter. Out of it. Do you understand? He is not here for you to manipulate, not here for you to bully into trying out crazy shit for your amusement-”

“Tony, what the fuck,” Peter blurted, frowning and stepping forward, more than a little put out. He’d only just managed to get accepted by Flash and all the other popular kids, and Tony was just going in, ruining it all, “you’re not my dad- don’t tell me or my friends what I can and can’t do.”

Tony turned, eyebrows raised. “Friends?” He snorted, shaking his head and walking over to Peter once more, taking him by the arm. “You haven’t called in with Aunt May for two days now,” he hissed into Peter’s ear, “she’s worried sick. You are coming with me, right now.”

“No ‘m not,” Peter pushed his hand off, looking over at Tony in anger. “You are fucking….embarrassing me…. in fron’ of my friends-”

“They are not your friends!” Tony snarled, pulling his arm again, “your friends are all currently at home, worrying their asses off because this is not like you, Peter, and they didn’t know what to fucking do, so they ended up calling me. Now you will fucking follow me out of this goddamn place right now, or I am hauling you out.”

OH OH OH PLEASE TELL US A BOARDING SCHOOL STORY PRETTY PLEASE

so my school had this thing called “senior skip day,” except that senior skip day didn’t exist and every year the administration sent out emails in the spring that were like DON’T FUCKIN SKIP CLASS OR YOU WILL RECEIVE RESTRICTION (restriction was like, my boarding school’s equivalent of detention where instead of staying after school you had to go to bed early and help stuff envelopes advertising the summer program until your hands were BLOODIED AND CRIPPLED BY CARPAL TUNNEL) and every year the seniors were like YOLO THEY CAN’T PUNISH ALL OF US!!!!!

  • spoiler alert: yes they can? THEY ALWAYS CAN.
  • 200 years of american high school and teenagers still think that there is a cap limit on kids in detention and that you can leave after 15 minutes if the teacher doesn’t show up.

anyway, my senior year, we all got together and nattered at each other until some brave soldier (i feel like it was my friend paula but WHO KNOWS) was like “OK SENIOR SKIP DAY IS THIS THURSDAY!!!! NOBODY GO TO CLASS OR UR A SCAB.”

  • she didn’t say scab because she’s not from the 1920s and we aren’t newsies, though this story would be way more interesting if we were
  • what she said was “YOLO THEY CAN’T PUNISH ALL OF US!!!!!”
  • except not yolo because it was 2009 and drake hadn’t been invented yet except as a dear sweet boy in a wheelchair.

we also used this email system to communicate with one another that has very deeply informed the way i understand email and which probably makes it very frustrating to be my friend and receive emails that have subject lines like “URGENT” and then just 42 links to the same florida georgia line youtube video.

  • I’M NOT ASHAMED, but in that way where like i kind of AM ashamed so i’m really aggressively NOT ashamed?

so the day of reckoning rolls around and my alarm goes off at 8 (class started at 8:05 but i liked to PLAY WITH FIRE when it came to being late; my mom actually asked the school to stop emailing her when i was a sophomore because i was late so often that their rote “Mrs. Ofgeography we are emailing you to say—” was CLOGGING UP HER INBOX and she was like “i GET IT MY CHILD IS THE MOST BORING MISCREANT OF ALL TIME.”) and i looked at my roommate elle and she looked at me and went, “you going?”

“hell no,” i said. “YOLO. they can’t punish all of us.”

elle, who was far prettier and far cooler than i was with the notable exception of her obsession with tswift’s “love story” and her tendency to look at the endangered species list and cry sometimes during study hall, quickly bizounced across the street to this shopping center thing where all the cool kids smoked in secret where huge trucks dropped off clothes for the Dress Barn. i think there were also tennis courts nearby. more importantly there was this chinese food delivery place and a lil restaurant that made HELLA BAGELS.

  • WHAT KIND OF BAGELS?
  • FUCKIN
  • HELLA.

off goes elle! meanwhile i’m like, “yessssss i’m gonna use senior skip day to watch 14 hours of tv shows and eat frozen peanut butter bars that i stole from the dining hall! I’M GONNA LIVE LIKE I’M 23 ALONE IN CHICAGO ON A WEEKEND WHEN MY ONLY PLAN IS TAKEOUT AND CUDDLING WITH THE FAUX-SNOW-LEOPARD BLANKET I WILL ONE DAY SURELY OWN.”

of course, during this time the administration was continuing to send out emails that reminded us with increasing urgency that senior skip day was NOT A THING and that we were ALL GETTING RESTRICTION if we didn’t get our STUPID ASSES TO CLASS, GODDAMNIT, WE ARE NOT RUNNING A CIRCUS HERE.

but i was like! yolo, motherfuckers!!! i already got into college, YOU CAN’T TOUCH ME.

at some point during the day elle and our friend ginna came back to the room with takeout from the chinese delivery place and we sat on our floor eating it and probably watching veronica mars or looking at the endangered species list and crying.

all of a sudden, elle said, “guys shut up, guys shut up, GUYS SHUT UP,” and ginna and i were like, “WHAT we have a LOT to SAY about FRIED FUCKING DUMPLINGS, ELLE,“ and elle said, "did you hear that?”

“hear what?”

that!”

‘that’ was the sound of one of our dorm moms, mrs. f, knocking on doors and saying things like, “IF YOU DON’T GET YOUR BUTTS TO CLASS IN 5 MINUTES YOU’RE ON CATEGORY 4 RESTRICTION FOREVER.” elle quickly scampered up our raised beds to hide in the corner, where a tiny human like elle could actually hide from view; i leapt immediately into what we called a closet but was basically a cubby with a flap that was DEFINITELY not meant for a 5'8” individual with knobby as hell knees.

our door, which was never locked because we both hated the effort of typing in the lock code, opened. mrs. f said, “mollyhall?”

i held my breath.

  • i should add here that i seemed to be operating on like a scooby-doo level of logic where basically i thought that she was somehow NOT ALLOWED to investigate?
  • like, if she can’t see me, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY that she could prove i’m in here, right?
  • she’ll just poke her head in and be like oH GOSH NO KIDS HERE and leave!!

you can see the flaw in my logic.

mrs. f sighed. “mollyhall, i know you’re in here, i literally heard your voice ten seconds ago.”

  • there’s no WAY she guesses i’m in the closet!!!

“mollyhall, i know you’re in the closet.”

  • NO YOU DON’T
  • I AM SCHRÖDINGER’S SENIOR

“mollyhall—”

there was a creak. mrs. f stopped. it wasn’t actually a “creak,” so much as this like, prolonged groan? like it’s the sound an elephant would make if it sat on a really large accordion.

i poked my head out of the closet. mrs. f looked at me. elle sat up.

i said, “where’s ginna?”

  • YOU KNOW WHERE GINNA WAS.

“um,” said elle, “she’s in the—”

  • GINNA NO

ginna yes.

i really wish i could describe the sound the ceiling made when it collapsed. it sounded a lot like the way losing your breath feels. i sort of remember ginna falling in like, really slow motion, like i could see the expression on her face. i didn’t really think about how i would describe this in words. ginna’s face said:

  • oh no.
  • what have i done?
  • this was a mistake.
  • i regret a series of decisions that i have made.
  • is there a way out of this?
  • are those oreos under mollyhall’s pillow?
  • why are there oreos under mollyhall’s pillow?
  • mollyhall, you HAVE a food cupboard, what good is a food cupboard if you don’t—
  • oh, crap.

she belly flopped onto the floor. i mean, the girl bounced. and then she just laid there. mrs. f looked at her. elle looked at her. i looked at her, still mostly in the closet. we were all going to get category 4 restriction forever.

ginna said, “hi, mrs. f. i feel like i should explain.”

“Let me get one thing straight ! ...I’m not” - Batmom x Batboys

Summary : What if one of the batboy was gay and he was scared to tell Bruce and Batmom ?

I couldn’t choose just one batboy, so I wrote a mini-story (ended up actually being longer than I anticipated…sorry for the long read ? Each story have a different title and the name of one of the Batboy is always written so if you wanna skip some of them, and just read the one you want, it’s easier :-)) for each of them…I have no idea where this idea comes from, but I just wanted to write it. So here’s for an unplanned story that just somehow showed up today in my head, and wouldn’t leave until I wrote it. Hope you’ll like it

Fear of what you might think - Dick Grayson

Dick Grayson was the kind of young man that never had trouble talking his way out of almost any situations. He wasn’t a shy guy, he was charming and cute, full of empathy and always had kind words for anyone in trouble.

And with you ? Well, he had been calling you “mom” since he was but an eight years old child (he will always remember the day he was scared that his actual mom be mad at him for calling that…and the hug and soothing words you gave him after, reassuring him that, of course she wouldn’t, she loved him, she would only like the best for him), and talking to you always been extra-easy.

So…This was new for him.

Never before had he been afraid to tell you something. And yet, here he was, pacing up and down the Manor, gathering the courage to finally go to see you in the Batcave (where he knew you and Bruce were), to end up avoiding the grandmother clock that would lead him to said cave…

After almost two hours of incessant pacing, finally, Alfred stopped him, and, putting a tray of tea, coffee and biscuits in his arms, said :

-Well Master Richard, if you’re that restless, could you please bring this to your parents ? I feel a bit under the weather today, and I fear that going down in the coldness of the cave will truly make me sick.

At the time, Dick didn’t really thought much of it, but now that he was looking back to it, he was 98% sure that Alfred knew, and just gave him that little push that would help him finally say what was on his heart.

His heart was beating at a hundred miles an hour as he was getting down to where you and Bruce were, taking one slow step at a time. Two steps back up, one step down. Alfred had told him to hurry before the tea and coffee would turn cold but…Why was this so difficult ?!

Reggie Mantle x Reader Locker-room Confessions

Request:
Could you maybe do a Reggie x reader where the reader is Jughead’s sister and she’s getting bullied by Chuck and Moose and he catches her crying in the locker room looking for Archie and comforts her and tells her nice stuff and compliments her and just fluff and cuteness.

A/N: This was my first request so I enjoyed it plenty, I hope you love it or least like it! It takes a while to get to the Reggie x Reader only because I wanted it to have a good storyline.

Words: 1511

Pairing: Reggie x Reader

Summary: Reader is Jughead’s sister and gets bullied and Reggie comes to the rescue.

Spoilers: There may or may not be a kiss.

Warnings: Like three swear words.

Being Jughead’s sister was not easy at Riverdale High. Everyone questioned you for the small similarities and differences that you had with each other. You hung out mostly with Jughead’s friends since you grew up with them as well.  You were only a year apart in age, but not by grade level. Some even questioned you both if you were twins and Jug became tired of it, so he would claim you were fraternal twins. The high school caste system was not really in favor of you and your brother. You’re brother Jughead had it worse with The Goonies as he called them. He was “freak” to them because he was different than the testosterone filled, brainless guys at your school. Jug was the brooding writer, keeping to himself. You however would dress like him plenty of times, but you liked to try different styles and colors. You were usually the one they’d catch smiling more often. You just tried your best enjoy the hell hole that high school was especially in a small town.

During the weekend you had a sleepover with Veronica and Betty at Veronica’s house. You were mesmerized by the aesthetic of Veronica’s. There was something about big homes that you thoroughly enjoyed, since your family had a small house. You didn’t complain though, you were just happy your family was back together and your dad was getting his act together.

You were thankful for these friends that made Riverdale suck a little less. You had fun with them, as they helped you escape from life for a while when you hung out with them. Veronica was new, but it felt like you had known her all your life. It was now Sunday morning and you all had just eaten breakfast.

“Here you go” Veronica spoke up while you were hanging out in her room.

“What’s this?” You questioned her as you opened the gift bag and took a box out with the most mesmerizing sneaker wedges you had wanted when you guys went window shopping a week before.

Your eyes dilated, and a small smile was forming on your face until you looked up and spoke up “I- I- I can’t take these Ron.”

“Now why not? Those would look great on you with that crop top you bought, but never wore” Veronica declared.

“You would look amazing, (Y/N)” Betty budded in with a smile on her face.

“I just, you guys can’t keep buying me stuff, my parents, and I am not going to be your charity case” you declared with a sad look in your face.

“Oh c’mon you are not my charity case (Y/N/N), I simply bought the wrong size shoe and can’t return them” She retorted.

“Yeah, I was there they would not let her return them” Betty innocently added on the lie.

“You can’t return them?” You questioned Ron with hopeful eyes.

“Nope and now that I look at them they’re not really my style and I don’t want to see them go to waste” Veronica added on with a smirk on her face.

You thanked her, and promised to wear them on Monday, with some ripped skinny jeans and the crop top as you left her house to work your shift at Pops.

Monday came and you hesitated on the outfit, but you put it on anyway since you weren’t going to let down Ronnie, and weren’t going to let your money go to waste by never wearing the crop top.

You took a quick glance in the mirror and smiled confidently and walked out of your home to get to school.

As you arrived, you felt all eyes on you and it made you slightly uncomfortable until you caught a glimpse of Ronnie and Betty and walked towards them.
“Hey” you said shyly to the blonde and brunette.

They turned to look at you and you heard gasps coming out of their mouth with a wide eyes plastered on their faces.

“My god! (Y/N) you are gorgeous” Betty declared.

“The phoenix rises! (Y/N) you look hot!” Ronnie added on and you couldn’t help but cover your face and giggle as Kevin approached you three by the lockers.

He did a double take not believing it was you until he added to the compliments “Smokin’ (Y/N), if I weren’t gay you’d be on my list” as you all laughed at his words.

You all departed to your classes and plenty of people complimented you on your outfit.

It was the end of the day and you were at your locker, when The Goonies approached you in the empty hallway.

You just gave a huff closing your locker thinking you just might get catcalled, surprised though that Reggie was not with them. You remembered you actually hadn’t seen Reggie with them for a couple of days now.

The Goonies were surrounding you, you couldn’t escape them, and they trapped you against your locker.

Moose spoke up “Look at the ugly duckling thinking she is turning into a goose.”

“Yeah Goose” The other jocks repeated.

“Don’t you mean swan?” You retorted sarcastically.

“Whatever, besides you’d never be a swan” Moose scowled at you “I just wanted you to know that not even like that, no one will even look your way”

“I don’t know” Chuck added on “You’d be a good, onetime thing, don’t you think she’d like maple syrup?”  He spoke to the guys and he creepily caressed your cheek as you swapped his hand off your cheek.

“What do you think freak? Would you like a bit of Chuck in your life” he whispered in your ear.

“You’d really consider this piece of trash?” Moose spoke up

“The thing about trash is, you use it, and then when you’re done with it you throw it away” Chuck gave you a smirk as he turned to collect high fives from the guys and you took it as a chance to flee and go looking for Archie in the locker room to ask him to take you home, or ask him where Jughead was.

As you fled from The Goonies, you heard the collective laughter from the venom filled mouths as you tried to hold in your tears.

You arrived at the locker room and much to your dismay it was empty. You started hearing the rain from the outside and realized they probably cancelled practice.

You sat down in one of the benches and started sobbing, until you felt someone sit next you so you stopped and turned your attention to see who it was.

“I am so sorry about those jerks” Reggie spoke up as he rubbed his thumbs up to cheeks to rid of the tears “They never did learn how to treat a lady” Reggie added.

“What are you doing?” You questioned him, confused as to why he was being so nice to you when he was the one that bullied your brother.

“I- I am” He stuttered as he grabbed you by the hand, not knowing what to say.

“Wow a speechless Reggie that’s new” you chuckled.

“I’m just really sorry about those assholes, I’ll take care of them though” He smiled at you.

“How?” You asked him.

“Well I am captain of the football team (Y/N)” He stated.

“Why would you help me though? They bullied me, and you bully my brother with them” You spoke up “What’s the difference?” you added on.

“(Y/N) I am really sorry about that, I regret ever being rude to Jughead, I really am” He said with disappointed look on his face.

“Why were you rude to Jug? Does this mean you are going to leave him alone? I noticed you haven’t been hanging out with the guys for a while now” You rambled on, not knowing how to react this soft side of Reggie.

“Um” he mumbled while scratching his head “I kind of have a crush on you” He spoke softly with a small smile on his face.

“What?” You gulped as he caught you by surprise.

“I promise to apologize to Jughead,  I know I was stupid for going down that route” He paused and spoke again “I’ll apologize, I swear, wo- woul- would you go out on a date with me? Please?” He proclaimed with a sparkle in his eyes.

“Only if you apologize to Jug” You smiled at him, surprised to seeing this vulnerable side to Reggie made him so much more handsome.

“Deal, Thank you, I will, I’ll also take care of the idiots who bullied you” Reggie proclaimed as he pulled you in for a hug.

As you two pulled away you started missing his tight hug until Reggie grabbed you by the chin and planted his lips on yours.

Your stomach was filled with butterflies and your lips were in sync with his.

“(Y/N) where are you? Moms going crazy, it is raining and you’re not answering your- uh- phone” Jughead interrupted your kiss with wide eyes and wide mouth plastered on his face and you couldn’t help but smile.

Tom Holland Imagine (prompt)

prompt: 49. “We’re just friends.”

56. "What if I told you I’ve been in love with you since I was eleven?”

a/n: this is kinda cute

word count: 1468

Waking up in an unfamiliar bed, you rubbed your eyes, blurring your vision for a second. You heard Tom’s light snores from the makeshift bed he had made on the floor to your left. You were in Tom’s bedroom, you had been in here a couple of times before since he bought the flat, but you had never stayed the night. He’d had a welcome home and a housewarming party for himself all in one at his new flat the night before after months and months of travelling. All of your school friends were there.

Tom met you on the first day of year seven, both of you were wearing shiny new school shoes and your uniform hung off both of you a few sizes too big so you had room to grow into them. His was the first voice you heard when you walked into your first class of the day - he was loud and confident, the polar opposite to your shy and quiet manner. Somehow along the course of the first few weeks of school, you and Tom had struck up an unlikely friendship, and soon you were welcomed into his friendship group. During the later years of your schooling life, when Tom started landing roles in big films, your friendship was tested when he was away from home for weeks and weeks at a time. You didn’t always talk, he found it hard to keep in touch all the time when he was working, and sometimes he pissed you off when he forgot about your scheduled Skype sessions. But always, when he returned home, he’d come to your house with a new DVD and some popcorn, and you’d spend the rest of the day snuggled under a blanket on your sofa, enjoying each other’s company.

Trying carefully not to wake Tom from his slumber, you crept out of his bedroom, shutting the door gently behind you. Making your way into the kitchen, you heard Harrison talking to Tessa as the television buzzed quietly in the background.

“Morning,” you said into the next room, your voice a little hoarse.
“Sleep okay?” Harrison asked as you made yourself a coffee from the machine.
“Mmhmm,” you replied. Once your coffee was done you sat with Harrison in the living room where Tessa sat across you both. “How long have you been up for?”
“Not too long. Did you have a good night last night?” Harrison wiggled his eyebrows at you.
“Yeah it was a cool party, nice to see everyone together again.”
“That’s not what I meant.”
“What did you mean then?”

“You know, in the bedroom,” you scoffed as he said it. Harrison had been trying to set you up with Tom for as long as you could remember. He had always been able to tell that you had feelings for Tom, even if you never admitted it out loud.

“He slept on the floor, okay?” You petted between Tessa’s ears. “Nothing happened. Nothing ever happens.” Harrison shot you a look as if to say Really? “How many times do I have to tell you?” You poked his arm. “We,” poke, “are,” poke, “just,” poke, “friends,” poke. “We’re just friends,” you repeated.
“If you say so,” Harrison rubbed the spot you poked him in, the tone of his voice telling you he didn’t truly believe what you were saying.

Your attention was brought to the doorway as Tom stood leaning against the frame, the floorboards creaked underneath his feet. His hair was messy, he had sleep in the corners of his eyes and there was some dried drool beginning to crust around the corners of his mouth. He smiled sleepily as he caught your gaze. Pushing himself away from the doorframe he joined you and Harrison, sitting on the arm of the sofa closest to Harrison, his legs stretched out over him so he could tickle Tessa with his toes.

It was currently 11:30 and you were trying so hard to get your presentation done for tomorrow’s class. You grabbed the broomstick that was becoming less for sweeping and more for hitting on your ceiling in shallow attempts at getting the ruckus to quiet down.

Say my name.

Author : Mel

A/N : this is what happens when I have to pee at 4am, and my kid’s radio is playing “Say my name.” by Destiny’s Child.

You were sitting on the edge of the bed staring at the floor and trying to keep your nerve when the Impala pulled in outside. You waited quietly and patiently for them to come into the room. You hoped they didn’t get hurt on this hunt, or your nerve would be gone. Holding your breath as their boots came loser to the door, you glanced up as it finally opened and Dean walked in smiling, with Sam behind him.

“Hey baby.” Dean grinned at you. Both boys looked unhurt, which gave you a sense of relief for just a moment, but you didn’t miss how Sam instantly furrowed his brows at the sight of you.

“What’s my name, Dean.”

“What?” His smile was gone and he was confused.

“Say my name.”

Family

Ford leaned against the gates beside his brother. They were currently outside the gates of Wildwood Middle School, Piedmont, waiting to pick Dipper and Mabel up from school. They had arrived in California unannounced. They’d docked the Stan O’ War II over in Emeryville and had been picked up by Dipper and Mabel’s parents. Neither party had told the kids they were coming - it was a surprise. It was roughly two months into the school year and two months since the older Pines twins had first set sail on the Stan O’ War. They had decided to pay the kids a visit. Dipper and Mabel’s father, Jason, had been overjoyed to discover that his supposedly ‘dead’ Uncle Stanley was actually still alive and that Ford was here too. It had been a fairly tearful reunion on both parts - Ford had barely met his nephew before and he’d been elated to finally get to know him properly. The younger twins’ mother, Kristen, was really pleased to meet them too.

“What time did Kristen say the kids finished?” Ford looked over at Stan. “Three, wasn’t it?”

Stan checked his watch. “Yeah, they should have been out by now, surely.”

As if on cue, a loud bell rang out across the school grounds and a minute later kids started filing out, meeting up with their parents and friends and leaving. The older Pines twins scanned the sea of children for any sight of Mabel and/or Dipper. After five minutes, Mabel’s familiar cheery voice could be heard over the crowd. Stan and Ford stayed put, waiting for her to get closer. Mabel walked right past them, barely able to see them beyond the taller kids either side of her. She seemed to be looking for her parents.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Stan called.

Mabel whirled round and gasped. A wide smile instantly spread across her face and she ran towards them. “GRUNKLE STAN! GRUNKLE FORD!” She exclaimed, running up to them and embracing both of them in tight hugs. “What are you doing here?!”

“Well, we were passing California and thought we’d come and visit you.” Ford was beaming, hugging her tightly. “We docked the boat over in Emeryville.”

“We couldn’t resist coming to see you,” Stan grinned, lifting Mabel up and embracing her tightly. The little girl wrapped her arms around his neck, giggling.

“It’s so good to see you too! What’s the boat like? Have you found any monsters? Have you found any treasure?!”

“Relax, pumpkin,” Stan chuckled, setting Mabel back down again. “We’ll explain everything when we get home.”

“You’re staying with us?!” Ford didn’t think it was possible for Mabel’s smile to get any bigger, but he was proved wrong. “Really?!”

“Yep,” Ford grinned. “We’ll be staying in the spare room at your place,”

“How long will you be staying?”

“Dunno,” Stan shrugged. “Until your parents get fed up and kick us out.” He smirked.

Ford laughed. “That could either be in an hour or a month.”

“Dipper’s gonna be so happy to see you guys!” Mabel turned round, scanning the crowd for her twin. “When he eventually gets out.”

Ford stood on the tips of his toes to look over the heads of the parents in the crowd. For a moment, he was looking for the familiar blue and white pine tree cap, but then remembered the boy had traded hats with the ginger Mystery Shack employee (Wendy? Was that her name?) before they had left Gravity Falls. Sure enough, he soon spotted the boy amongst the crowd. “Dipper!”

Dipper perked up as he heard his name being called. He frowned. That couldn’t be who he thought it was, could it? No, they were out on the boat - That was until he saw Grunkle Ford’s head above those of the other parents. “Grunkle Ford!” He rushed forward, shoving kids out of the way.

A split second later, Ford had been tackled by the young boy. He laughed, scooping Dipper up into his arms and hugging him tightly. “Good to see you too!”

Dipper laughed, his deerstalker hat lying lopsided on his head, as he wrapped his arms around Ford. “What are you doing here?”

“We were sailing past California and decided to come and see you.” Ford grinned, putting Dipper down beside his sister. “We’ll be staying at your place for a little while.”

“Really?!” Dipper’s reaction mirrored his sister’s. “Wait… we?”

Stanley laughed. “Hey, where’s my hug?”

“Grunkle Stan!” Dipper ran over to the other man, hugging him equally as tightly. “You’re here too?!”

“Course. What, you thought Ford left me on the boat so he could see you all by himself?” Stan chuckled, hoisting Dipper up into his arms for a better hug. “No way was I staying put on the boat!”

“Come on, you guys!” Mabel grabbed Ford’s hand and started dragging him towards where the car was parked. “Let’s go! I’ve got so much cool stuff to show you!”

Ford laughed and looked over his shoulder at Stanley. “Yeah, Stan, come on! I can’t drive, remember?”

Stanley scoffed and put Dipper down, following his brother and Mabel over to where they’d parked their parents’ car (they’d borrowed the family Volvo). “Only because you forgot how to,”

Ford tried to look indignant, which was kind of difficult with a hyperactive thirteen-year-old clinging to his wrist. “Hey! It’s not my fault I didn’t drive for thirty or so years while I was lost!”

Stanley shoved his brother’s shoulder playfully as he caught up to them, Dipper by his side. “Yeah, I know, Poindexter. Those alien cars were too weird, huh?”

“Do you have any idea how difficult they are to steal - I mean operate?” Ford coughed.

Stanley burst out laughing. “You tried to steal one? My brother, Mr Couldn’t-Even-Take-Free-Samples? Didn’t that Sanchez guy ever lend you his car?”

“A) It was a ship, not a car,” Ford held up a finger. “And B) No, he was always the one driving.”

Stanley rolled his eyes as they got to the car. He climbed into the driver’s side. Ford went to open the passenger side door, but Mabel beat him to it. “I wanna sit up front!”

“No fair!” Dipper protested. “You had shotgun on the way here!”

“Did not. You’re lying,” Mabel stuck her tongue out at him.

“Am not!”

“Are to!”

“Am not!”

“Are to!”

Ford gently pushed Mabel out the way and stood in front of the door to the front passenger seat. “Right, how about I get shotgun privilege, since you can’t decide who gets it?”

“No!” Both of the younger twins cried in unison. “That’s not fair!”

“Grunkle Ford Mabel had it on the way here!” Dipper protested.

Ford shrugged. “Maybe I want to sit in the front seat for a change?”

Stanley was laughing. “Just sit in the front, Mabel.” he chuckled. “But Dipper gets shotgun on the next two trips, okay?”

Mabel stuck her tongue out at Dipper again and climbed into the front seat, dumping her school bag on the floor. “Thanks Grunkle Stan!”

Dipper pouted and got into the driver’s side rear seat. Ford sat next to him and pulled his seatbelt on. “It’s alright Dipper. You get shotgun next turn, anyway.”

Dipper smirked. “Okay,”

Stanley started the car and adjusted the rearview mirror. “Seatbelts on?”

“Yes!” The three passengers said simultaneously.

Stan looked in the mirror at his brother. “Was that really necessary?”

Ford crossed his arms, a smug grin on his face. “Yep, now would you just drive?”

Stanley rolled his eyes and put the car into gear before pulling out into the road and heading back towards the kids’ house. Ford leaned back in the seat, one arm around Dipper’s shoulders. Dipper leaned against him. “So,” Dipper said. “What’s the boat like?”

“It’s not bad, actually,” Stan said. “McGucket helped us with a lot of the construction, so as you can imagine it’s got a lot of tech built into it. He somehow managed to invent and then integrate a filtration system that filters all the crud and salt out of the seawater and then even heats it so we can have a functioning shower and taps and everything. That way we don’t have to make frequent stops at ports to have the water tanks refreshed.”

“He also hooked up fully functional solar panels so we could have a constant source of power,” Ford added. “He’s found a way to use the panels to charge a main battery in the boat so that we have power during rainy days too. There are several backup batteries on board too.”

“He even managed to set up a system so that we could have constant phone and internet signal.” Stan said. “The man’s a genius.”

“So you can, like, watch TV and stuff while you’re on the boat?” Dipper grinned. “That’s awesome.”

“Well, no, on account of the fact that we don’t have a television on board,” Ford pointed out. “As much as Stanley wanted to have one, it would use far too much power. We each have a laptop, though, and plenty of books.”

“What! No TV?” Mabel gasped. “How on Earth can you manage without TV?”

Ford laughed. “That’s what Stanley said, but he’s been just fine so far.”

“So far,” Stan emphasised. “Trust me, I’m slowly going insane on that boat what with Ford’s incessant rambling.”

“I do not ramble!” Ford said indignantly. “I have perfectly meaningful conversations with myself!”

“First sign of madness - talking to yourself.” Stan pointed out. “Face it, Poindexter, you’re losing it.”

Ford laughed. “Of course I’m insane if I spent the last two months stuck on a boat with you.”

Stanley glared in the mirror at his brother, only causing Ford to laugh again. “You know I can still throw you overboard in your sleep.”

“I can swim,” Ford crossed his arms. “Plus, I know you wouldn’t throw me over.”

“Could we see the boat?” Mabel asked. “It sounds really cool!”

“Of course! We could take you down after dinner, if you wanted,” Stan offered as he pulled into the driveway. The kids immediately jumped out and ran up to the front door. Ford climbed out, soon followed by his brother. Stanley locked the car and followed the kids up to the front door. Dipper unlocked the door and let them in.

“Mom! Dad! We’re home!” He called.

“Why didn’t you tell us Grunkle Stan and Grunkle Ford would be here?!” Mabel demanded as her mother came out of the kitchen.

Kristen laughed. “It was meant to be a surprise! They arrived a couple of hours ago.”

Mabel turned and glared at Stan, smirking slightly. “So you told them you were coming but you didn’t tell us?!”

Stan put his hands up in defence, grinning. “Hey, you were happy to see us, weren’t you?”

There was a snort from the kitchen before a small pink blur knocked Stan over and started licking his face. The man laughed and lifted the pig off his chest. “Good to see you too Waddles.”

Ford knelt down and gave the pig an affection scratch behind the ear. Waddles snorted happily before trotting off into the living room. Ford stood back up straight and looked at Kristen. “So you weren’t particularly against having a pig in the house?”

“No, he’s surprisingly well trained,” Kristen looked to where the pig was settling down into a small dog bed. “No mess and he barely leaves hair anywhere.”

Dipper grabbed Ford’s hand and started dragging him towards the stairs. “C’mon Grunkle Ford you gotta see our bedroom!”

“Hold on Dipper,” Ford laughed. “Let me take my shoes off first.” Dipper waited all of thirty seconds while Ford removed his shoes before dragging him up the stairs again. Mabel dragged Stan upstairs too. The kids showed Stan and Ford all their schoolwork, pictures, projects and everything they’d been doing since they left Gravity Falls. Dipper showed Ford a journal he’d been writing in, similar to Ford’s own journals, and Mabel showed Stan all the new sweaters she’d knitted. She presented both of her grunkles with a new sweater each. Ford’s was a deep navy blue with a golden six-fingered hand embroidered on the front. Stan’s was dark red with his ‘Order of the Holy Mackerel’ logo on the front.

At about five o’clock, Kristen called up the stairs. “Dinner’s ready!”

Mabel and Dipper instantly dropped whatever they had been holding and rushed downstairs. Ford and Stan followed them. They sat down at the large dining table in the kitchen just as Kristen was setting down plates of lasagne portions in front of the kids. She gave another plate each to Stan, Ford and her husband before taking her own and sitting down.

“So,” Kristen started. “What sort of things do you eat on the boat?”

“Dried and canned things, mostly,” Ford said. “We’ve got a freezer on board, so we can have frozen meat, veg and fish too, but nothing anywhere near as good as this,” he placed a forkful of lasagna in his mouth.

Stan was wolfing down his food at a rapid pace and nodded. Ford whacked his shoulder. “Stan! Eat properly, not like a pig!”

Waddles gave an indignant snort, causing the family to chuckle. Stan swallowed. “I’m not that bad!”

“At least chew your food, don’t inhale it.” Ford rolled his eyes and kept eating. He looked across the table at the kids. “How was school?”

Dipper seemed to go quiet as Mabel instantly burst into a speech about everything she’d done. “Well, first off in Chemistry we got to make crystals, then in Biology we dissected a kidney, then in Art we got to draw any creature we wanted - I drew Waddles, obviously, and Dipper drew a gnome - then in English we had to write a short story, then in -”

Ford seemed to zone out to what Mabel was saying, more focused on Dipper. The boy had his hands folded in his lap and his head was down, his dinner sitting on the table forgotten. He kept clenching his eyes shut and wiping them with the back of his hand. Ford cleared his throat and put his fork down. “Dipper? How was your day?”

Dipper seemed startled by the question, rubbing his eyes furiously. “Oh, it was… it was fine. Kind of boring, really,”

Ford frowned as the boy kept eating, albeit slowly. He decided not to press the issue any further at the dinner table. Mabel was still excitedly telling her parents all about the story she had written in English. Once they had all finished eating and the kids were excused from the table, Dipper went straight back upstairs. Ford heard him slam the bedroom door shut. Mabel, however, frowned and went into the living room and began watching TV. Waddles trotted after her and sat on the floor in front of the couch.

Ford rose from the table. “Excuse me a moment,” he said, tucking his chair in and heading upstairs to the kids’ room. He knocked on the door gently. “Dipper?”

Ford heard sniffling from behind the door, before a quiet “Come in,” was heard. The man turned the doorknob and let himself in. Dipper was sat on his bed cross-legged and wiping his eyes. Ford closed the door quietly behind him and sat beside the boy.

“Care to tell me what’s wrong?”

Dipper stayed quiet for a moment, thinking. “.. have you ever felt like no matter what, people are still really mean to you, even if they don’t know you?”

Ford bit his lip and weighed his options. He could approach this question in several different ways. He could ask why Dipper felt this way, give a quick laugh and assure the boy that he had, or reassure Dipper that he was a perfectly wonderful young man who didn’t deserve the treatment he was getting. He opted for the straightforward answer. “Yes, unfortunately these -” He held up his hands and moved his extra fingers “- meant that, without even getting to know me first, my classmates treated me horribly.”

Dipper nodded, quietly avoiding Ford’s concerned gaze. He wrung his hands in his lap, biting his lip nervously. “Right… should have guessed that…”

Ford laid a hand on Dipper’s shoulder gently. “Trouble with kids at school?”

The boy nodded, tears stinging his eyes again. “Yeah, they keep picking on me, and calling me mean names,”

“Can I ask what?” Ford asked gently.

“Dipshit, dipstick, starboy and… uh…” Dipper bit his lip harder, almost enough to draw blood. “Freak,”

Ford felt an icy chill go down his spine. He was more than used to hearing others call himself a freak, but to learn that Dipper was also on the receiving end of such insults was sickening. His grip on the boy’s shoulder tightened momentarily. He loosened his grip, pulling Dipper closer to sit in his lap. He shuffled back on the bed, sitting up against the wall. “Di - Mason, can I tell you something?”

Dipper, still unused to hearing his real name from anyone other than his parents, took a moment to answer. “Yeah,”

Ford swallowed and took a deep breath. “When I was growing up, between the ages of four and eighteen, I had a similar experience to yourself. People took one look at my hands and decided that, as I was different, I should be punished. At every opportunity, I was insulted, shouted at, shoved, punched, kicked, beaten and I was frequently the primary target in food fights. After a while, I’d had enough” He held his left hand out in front of Dipper. “See that scar?”

Dipper held Ford’s hand in both of his own, looking at the thin scar running across the knuckle of his sixth finger. “Yeah,”

Ford took another deep breath. “I was fifteen when I did that. I locked myself in the bathroom one evening with a knife and attempted to remove my finger. I thought that maybe, if I got rid of the extra fingers, I could be normal. People would stop picking on me and I could finally get along with my peers.” His hand was shaking slightly, his voice beginning to crack. The memory was still painful. “I was a fool, and if hadn’t been for Stanley, I would have succeeded. He broke the door down and brought me straight to a hospital. He made it absolutely clear to me that removing my extra fingers was not the solution. It took me thirty years drifting through all sorts of interdimensional horror to realise that.”

Dipper was quiet, his mind processing everything that Ford had said. He hadn’t expected his great uncle to confess something like that. His thumb ran absentmindedly back and forth across Ford’s scar. “I sometimes wear make-up,” he eventually said. “To cover up my birthmark. I use Mom’s foundation. That’s why I always used to wear my pine tree hat, ‘cause it pushed my hair down over my forehead so nobody would see it.” The boy turned around so he was sitting facing Ford. “I don’t like wearing makeup, but it’s the only thing that stops them laughing at me. They laugh at me for wearing makeup, too,”

Ford sighed quietly, pulling Dipper into a hug. He laid his chin on top of Dipper’s head. “It’s tough,” he said quietly. “Especially when it’s not something like a person’s weight, which can be altered with some effort.”

He felt Dipper tremble in his arms and felt something wet seeping into the top of his shirt. He stroked Dipper’s back gently. “It’s okay… shh… it’s okay…”

Dipper laid his cheek against Ford’s chest, listening to his heartbeat. Ford lifted his sleeve to dry the boy’s tears. Ford ran all six of his fingers through his nephew’s hair soothingly. “It’s going to be alright, Mason. I know your classmates’ behaviour may tell you otherwise, but the biggest supporter of you is yourself.” He kissed the top of Dipper’s head gently. “You’ve always got Mabel too. You’ve always got your twin by your side, which is more than can be said for some people.”

Dipper nodded, wiping his nose on a tissue. “Yeah, I guess. She’s got so many friends, though. I don’t want to be a burden on her.”

Ford squeezed Dipper’s hand. “I felt the same way when I was at school. My brother had the potential to have a lot of friends, but he constantly spent his time keeping bullies away from me. He could have been very popular if it hadn’t been for the fact that he was protecting me. But let me tell you something: he wouldn’t change his actions for the world. You can ask him - he doesn’t regret any of it. I’m sure Mabel would be more than happy to spend time with you.”

Dipper smiled. “Thanks, Grunkle Ford.”

Ford smiled. He turned Dipper round to face him. “Besides, I’m sure you remember some of those curses from the journals. If people continue to give you trouble, have at it.”

Dipper laughed and hugged his uncle. “Thanks Grunkle Ford, seriously.”

Ford hugged him back and ruffled his hair. “No problem. Now, what do you say we got and get some ice cream from the parlour down the road?”

Dipper smiled and got to his feet, pulling Ford up off the bed. “Sure.”

Proximity (01)-My Place at Six

Prompt: Sebastian meets his newest neighbor and immediately finds her to be an interesting and genuine person. Before he knows it, he’s developing feelings for his much younger friend that he tries not to act on because of their age difference, only the proximity of their lives has other things in store for the couple.

Warnings: fluffy, some language

“Really, (Y/N),” Sebastian grumbled as his neighbor turned friend approached the table they normally sat at together. “It’s seven in the morning and you’re already calling me a diva on Instagram?”

“You’re the one who ordered two drinks,” she teased in reply and sat down across from him, dropping her canvas satchel in the seat beside her.

“One’s for caffeine and the other is for taste,” he huffed as if she should have predicted that. “Besides, it’s going to be a long morning for me,” he sighed again as he tapped his pen against the table. “And I’m not a fucking weirdo who gets five shots of espresso like some people,” he said before locking eyes with her.

“That was one time and it was by accident,” (Y/N) protested as she sipped her latte.

“You fell asleep in the cab!” he laughed. “I had to carry you to your apartment!”

“And I’ve learned from my mistake,” she sighed. “Only two shots…for now.” Sebastian rolled his eyes at (Y/N) as she flipped her watch to face her.

“You better not get another coffee when you get to campus,” he chastised her.

“Says the guy who already had a cup in his apartment and then buys two more,” she laughed, an arrogant smirk falling onto her lips.

“How do you know I had one this morning?” he quickly asked her and looked up from his work.

“Your coffee maker is like Shocky from How I Met Your Mother; my lights flicker every time you use it.” Slowly, her eyes crept over the table and landed on the papers tucked beneath his arms. “What are you working on?” she asked, trying to pluck the sheets from his grasp.

“Top secret! Sorry, civilians aren’t allowed to see,” he teased while shoving he papers away from (Y/N).

“Marvel is really buckling down on you guys, huh?” she asked while continuing to sip on her drink.

“After Tom Holland forgot to turn his script in,” Sebastian muttered under his breath.

“Come on, cut him some slack,” (Y/N) pestered Sebastian in return by shoving his arm. “He burnt the script as soon as he got home.”

“Or that’s what he wants you to think!” (Y/N) couldn’t help but laugh at Sebastian as he sipped his iced coffee.

“Okay, Seb, calm down,” she chuckled, “your Mackie is showing.”

“It’s seven thirty, don’t you have Psychology and the Legal System in half an hour?” Sebastian asked as he checked the time on his phone.

“Damn, do you have my whole schedule in there?” she asked while propping herself up on her elbows and leaning over the narrow table to look at his phone screen, leading him to laugh at her sarcastically. “My professor canceled this morning, but I do have to run into the library before my next class and print off my report.”

“The one for Maladaptive Behaviors and Psychopathology?”

“Seriously, Sebastian, do you have my schedule memorized or something?” she laughed as she shifted her book bag onto her shoulder, preparing to make the short hike to John Jay College for Criminal Justice.

“I like to know when I’ll be seeing you again,” he said wit ha smile in his voice. “Plus you slam your door when you leave, let your books and papers lay scattered around your apartment, and meticulously date things.”

“Well, I’m sorry my organization had lead to your inconvenience,” she huffed and took a long last sip of her latte.

“It’s not an inconvenience to me,” he laughed while drinking his iced coffee. She hurriedly grabbed his green tea frappachino and took a sip before placing it back in front of Sebastian and smirking at him.

“Stalker.” (Y/N) gave him a short wink before walking about of the Starbucks and making her way toward her college campus to prepare for a short day of intense classes.

Sebastian slumped forward over his newest script, Logan Lucky, where he would be playing a NASCAR driver, and took a long sip of his drink. He finished his first ordered drink and then dropped it into the trashcan beside his table.

Seb Stan: You’re from the south, right?

(Y/N) had tried desperately to lose her southern accent but one night, when tipsy and watching a movie at Sebastian’s place, she let slip one too many ‘yalls’ and said ‘ain’t’ a few too many times as well. He picked up on it quickly and, thinking about it now, he smiled at how free she was when not focusing on managing her accent.

Cute Neighbor: who told you? 😒

Seb Stan: Your drunk-ass!!

Seb Stan: Tell me about NASCAR 😫

Cute Neighbor: Seb, I’m in class!

Cute Neighbor: Since when do you care about NASCAR?

Sebastian smirked and twirled his phone between his fingers, knowing she’d eventually call him when she was free. Slowly, he flipped through the photos on his phone, allowing smiles to creep onto his lips as his eyes landed on her gentle face and soft hair.

Ever since they met three months ago, Sebastian had been completely entranced by everything she had to offer. She was constantly upbeat and playful in her mannerisms. More than anything he enjoyed the realism in their relationship. She wasn’t just apart of his life because of his fame, she didn’t know him because of convenience of status or through mutual friends of celebrity; he met her through proximity and has gotten to know her through the same thing.

“Hey neighbor,” (Y/N) called over the phone.

“Are you outside?” Sebastian asked.

“Yeah,” she huffed as though out of breath. “Don’t tell my advisor, but I’m skipping our meeting.”

“Don’t do that, (Y/N),” he huffed lightly.

“I’ll reschedule,” she said. He could almost hear the shrug in her voice. “I’m going to go home and work on a couple of worksheets.”

“Okay,”Sebastian replied. “Are you free for dinner?”

“Oooh, Seb are you asking me out on a date?”

“NASCAR, remember?” Sebastian huffed, unable to hold back the smile forming on his face as (Y/N) alluded to going out on a date.

“Oh right,” she huffed. “Your place or mine?”

“Mine,” Sebastian called back to her. “Do you want to order food or cook?”

“I can cook tonight,” she said softly. “After all, you have bought me coffee twice this week; it’s the least I can do.”

“Alright, so my place at six?” he asked.

“Sounds good to me.” He couldn’t help the smile rising onto his face.

“Okay then, it’s a date,” he teased with a smirk, a sense of hope lingering in his chest.

“Hey, Jeremy? Remember when you first got that Squip?”

Micheal was talking to himself again, sitting in the dark in Jeremy’s bedroom. It was honestly quite pathetic; venting and talking to nobody.

Well, almost nobody.
