This was Team Jercy’s submission for the first round of the Heroes of Olympus Ship Olympics! Everyone put a ton of effort into it, and we’re all super proud of how it came out, so please give some HUGE kudos to my awesome team members:

Denis Ten will perform his FS for Dimash’s cover of S.O.S. d'un terrien en detresse at the Winter Olympics 2017!
A great collaboration by two Kazakhstanis who’s recently became famous in East Asia (and not only) Denis Ten - as a prototype of Otabek Altyn from the famous anime Yuri!!! On Ice, and Dimash - as an instant sensation at the Chinese adaptation of a famous TV show-contest I Am a Singer 2017.
If that doesn’t bring him a medal, I don’t know what can.
Yusra Mardini, the syrian refugee who swam 3 hours, risking her life to save 20 other refugees, she’s a member of the refugee olympic athletes team competing under the Olympic flag at rio. This is the kind of Arabs you don’t hear about, this is the kind of Arabs I cheer for❤
I refuse to believe that All-American Olympic Hero Kurt Freakin’ Angle is involved in anything sinister or inappropriate.
These texts and phone calls have been to his grandmother. She doesn’t want him as GM. She’s scared for his well-being. So she’s threatening to release embarrassing baby photos. She’s already sent them to Corey, so Kurt knows she’s not playing around.
I THOUGHT ABOUT THIS AT 3Am SO ITS VERY MESSY IM SORRY BUT LISTEN PLEASE
we all know that Percy Jackson is on the swim team right?? Which is the biggest cliché ever (I’m not complaining i LOVE IT) and Annabeth is a badass that judo-flips her boyfriend super easily even though he’s a lot taller

Jason leaned over and kissed her. The colors of the Roman afternoon suddenly seemed sharper, as it the world had switched to high definition. “No breakups,” he promised. “I may have busted my head a few times, but I’m not that stupid.”
Will hadn’t been able to get his hands on tickets to the men’s gymnastics competition.
So instead, he had been plonking himself in front of the TV to watch whenever he could spare a minute.
In the days that followed his silver medal win he had learned what he could about the boy that he kept running into. He had found out that his name was Nico di Angelo, that he was a male gymnast representing America (even though he had dual citizenship in Italy too,) and that he was the crowd favorite.
“Nico di Angelo is the obvious crowd favorite. He trails by less than a tenth of a point. Can he pull out an all-around win for America tonight?” Will heard one of the TV announcers ask.
“Oh without a doubt. Nico di Angelo might be on the younger end of competitors here, at only 18, but his God-given talent and his natural poise and confidence have allowed him to excel here in London.” The other replied.
The camera focused on Nico’s face then. He rubbed his hands together and let out a deep breath before taking the floor.
“His level of difficulty in this routine is amazing.” Will really wanted to shout through the screen for the commentators to shut up.
Nico flipped and tumbled in a blur of red, white, and blue. He looked at home on the floor, and happier than Will had ever seen him. (Though, Will had only ever seen him after he’d tackled him)
Suddenly, Nico came out of a flip and was on the ground, gripping his leg.
“It looks like Nico di Angelo has sustained an injury on the floor. That looks to be the end of his 2012 Olympic Games.”
Nico didn’t remember much of what happened after he fell. It was a blur of medics and coaches and concerned voices and tests.
The only thing he does remember clearly is someone saying that his career is over.
He had been working his entire life to win the all-around at the Olympics and choked on the pressure. Hadn’t he told Frank just days ago that the winner was the one who could stay out of his head the longest?
“Nico, honey, the doctor’s here.” His Aunt Sally’s voice pulled him from his thoughts.
As it would happen, Nico had torn his ACL. Not a career ending injury, but it would probably need surgery once he got back to the states, and it would definitely keep him off his feet -and from training- for several months.
They gave him a prescription for some pain killers, and a brace and pair of crutches before letting him leave. He and Sally took a cab back to the village and she helped to his room.
He should have been embarrassed that his aunt had to help him undress and get in and out of the shower, but she had practically raised him. And he was too tired and sad to care.
When he was all clean and his uniform had been put away, Sally tucked Nico into bed just like when he was little. The action was comforting and more than welcome.
“I knew Percy would eat them all, so I made you your own batch and hid them from him.” She produced a huge container of homemade cookies from her purse.
“You’re going to make me fat, Aunt Sally.” He smiled at her.
“Impossible. You’re too skinny as it is.” She ruffled his wet hair and he smiled sadly at her. “Nico, you had an incredible run here. You won four medals. Everyone is so proud of you. So you have this setback? It didn’t kill you, and so it will only make you stronger.” She kissed his forehead in her motherly way.
“But, you can’t mope. So, I will see tomorrow for beach volleyball. Love you, Nico.” Sally turned the lights off and shut the door.
Nico turned over carefully and grabbed his phone off of his nightstand. He had thirty six texts and a voicemail waiting for him. He set his phone down again and closed his eyes, letting sleep wash over him.
