LeFou tells him all about Belle’s library, obviously, and how she’s offering to teach children and anyone who wants to learn to read.

Gaston isn’t much interested in reading or writing (he doesn’t care for fiction or the thoughts of others, and he much prefers action anyway), until LeFou tells him about the memoirs that reside in the grand library. True stories. Stories of war. Stories of heroism.

That gets him thinking. He wonders if it might be worth learning to write in order to write his own tales of war.

(In the end, he dedicates his book: To LeFou, my oldest and dearest companion, and my unwitting hero.)

Nearly forgot about this yesterday, as it arrived as we were on our way out, but there was no way I could leave it, so I took it for a test drive today and it is amazing and awesome and I love it!

Also shows off my slightly trimmed beard, so that I actually have a mouth now.

If you haven’t read Hero 9 to 5 yet, well I cannot recommend it any harder, simply because it is one of the funniest and most insightful satire of comicbook conventions (conventions in comics not convention conventions, though the Orang Utan guys are at conventions and lovely at them to boot) and  just the most entertaining comic jaunt I have taken in a long time and the second book Quietus is also incredible and better if that is possible!

anonymous asked:

im curious, like i understand that your villain!saitama is big but i wanted to know how big is he? like i remember you drew a pic comparison of hero!saitama & genos vs. villain!saitama & genos but like is v!saitama taller than king(whose like 6ft1in ish) and stuff? im really interested in the deviled egg's bigness hhh

pff well I tried to do a more accurate one a while ago, but I never finished it lol, here we go, before and after:

I REALLY wish we had an official height chart so I could tell you kind anon ;-; But I guess we could work with what we have: Hero!Sai is about 5′9′’ (and I kinda shrunk genos a bit from 5′10′’) and King is 6′1′’ and a half wtf (I HONESTLY THOUGHT HE WAS WAY BIGGER?????)

If that’s official height then I think that YEA???? Villain!Sai might not be as MASSIVE as King is, more smooth and trim muscle compared to him (ofc he thick tho lol), he’d be TALLER c: can’t really give you a height number, but I guess you can throw something at me

We’ll figure this out together anon, thank you for the question ;D ♥♥♥

Hero 9 to 5: Quietus

Holy crap!

People need to be reading this book. Seriously. I just… ugh. The awesome and the … and then with the …. I CAN’T TALK ABOUT IT WITHOUT SPOILING IT AND I DON’T WANT TO DO THAT BUT TRUST ME, IT’S AWESOME, GO GET A COPY!

And yes, when I’ve come down from my new comic squee, I will try to arrange my thoughts into a more coherent format, and discuss the book in some kind of … textual detail, hopefully discussing some of the message it brings up but for moment, I’m just going to enjoy the awesome.

And yes (again) that includes those moments where some things are spelled out because, let’s face it, Some Anvils Need to be Dropped. Hero 9 to 5 always does that so well.

Hey, guys, check out this awesome Kickstarter project from the guys behind Orang Utan Comics. Written by Holly Rose (Shrapnel: Case Files) and executive produced by OUC co-founder Ian Sharman, and also featuring Ian Sharman (Alpha Gods, Hero: 9 to 5, Hypergirl, Spacescape)  and David Wynne (Hypergirl, Spacescape) in the cast, Ray Gunn and Starburst is a six part audio sci-fi/comedy sending up the tropes of classic and pulp science-fiction.

Please take a moment to check out the Kickstarter and, if you like the look of it, pledge generously!

You’ll cut me? A city full of people who can fly and shoot laser beams out the arses, and your power is that you have a knife? - It’s a very sharp knife - It could be sharper than Stewart Lee’s rapier wit, but it won’t change the fact that I have no money. - Whose Stewart Lee?

Hero 9 to 5 #5 Quitus, Orang Utan Comics

tumblr in the last one, Stewart Lee in this one, it’s like you are writing this for me Mr Sharman, and I frakking love it!
