Have you ever wanted to play with Berry Sweet Sims? Perhaps a rainbowcy, but felt like there wasn’t much direction? Well then this is for you! Follow a pastel rainbow through 9 generations in this colorful challenge!
Hello! I always notice people asking other resource blogs where they can find a free download for Photoshop, so I’ve decided to compile this list of all different tutorials to download PS made by other users here on tumblr (: I’ve only gathered links for Photoshop CC, CS5, and CS6 (a few are extended/portable versions). Please reblog or like this if you’ve found it helpful! If you see any links are broken or they contain viruses/whatever, please let me know and I will take them down!
I was thinking about YOI, as I do every waking moment of my life, and I noticed something I thought was odd at first. I mean, I had noticed before but had written it off for the most part and put it in the back of my mind, but: Victor has a missing 6 seasons of skating.
We know from flashbacks that he was a junior world champion by the age of 16
and that he was very well known by the age of 15/16
(you can find a fan-translated version of that magazine here)
However, he only has 5 Senior Grand Prix medals and the same number of Senior World Champions. The Grand Prix medals at least are confirmed as consecutive in the show (but I don’t think it’s much of a stretch to extend that to World Championships)
meaning that the ages of 17-~22 are completely missing.
(So. Do I have a point or am I just pulling out the obvious? Both.)
Anyway, I was running through the possible reasons for this, and my first thought was writing error, but the creators care too much about the show to make such a glaring mistake. And then I remembered a line from episode 4. A line that was brought up so casually and quickly moved past for things that were more important at the time, so I had nearly forgotten about it.
“You haven’t suffered any major injuries, and you’re younger than I am.“
I thought the wording was odd when I saw it for the first time. Victor is comparing Yuuri to himself. ”You haven’t suffered any major injuries,“ implying something kind of angsty: Victor has suffered a major injury.
It makes sense. It accounts for the absent years. Maybe he had to temporarily retire to take care of it, and then work his way back up. The line from episode 4 works perfectly with that narrative. Yuuri is a major Victor Nikiforov fanboy; he would know about anything that happened to Victor during his career, so he wouldn’t react strongly to the line.
The only question I have left is, what happened to Victor?
This album contains Fifth Harmony’s “unreleased” songs/songs that didn’t make it onto one of their albums.

I just saw a different promo for Shadowhunters that shows a (barely) extended version of the conversation with Alec and Isabelle and honestly I can’t believe Alec actually goes to her and asks her how you know it’s the right time to have sex, like Alec is so far gone on Magnus in every way humanly possible it’s not even funny. And Isabelle’s just so excited for him because she told him once that he never talked to her about anything important and yet here he is, finally going to her for advice, just like she always wished he would. :’)
I read a spoiler about 6x11 that Emma, Regina, and Wish!Robin will be returning to Storybrooke together, through what else but a magic wardrobe rebuilt by August...Any thoughts about the symbolism there? My mind immediately went to "closeted gays" lol
Oh, you did not just ask that, Anon!? I don’t have time to write all these volumes! …but okay, if you insist. Don’t twist my arm. (Please, twist it! 😏 )
I have a few answers here. Let’s start with…
You know how Pilots subtly introduce the themes for an entire series? There were a million ways for them to show us Emma’s job as a bail bonds person. They chose to have her on a fake date with a man. He thinks it’s the real thing. She has another agenda. Is Killian simply Ryan - the very, very extended version?
After that, we saw her come home, showing us once more that she was really only playing a part. She wasn’t comfortable in those shoes. I’m sure most women kick off their shoes and sigh in relief after… but you have to take into account that this is television. Everything you are shown is significant. They even zoom in specifically to draw attention to her body language.
If it wasn’t supposed to be part of the introduction of their main original character, then it wouldn’t have been included. You can explain queer coding away easily, since it was developed to fly under the radar. It’s the sum total of all the different instances that makes it impossible to deny in the case of Emma Swan and Once Upon a Time.
A little after, Emma and Regina meet. Emma looks completely captivated at first. Her body language, her stance, the licking of the lips, the way she looks a little annoyed by the existence of Graham.
Just look at her look at her.
Here is the moment that changes everything. Emma meets Mary Margaret. She meets her fairy tale mother and only after that moment we see her being put in the wardrobe. It’s symbolic. Emma doesn’t want to lose her family, she doesn’t want to do anything that rocks the boat too much. So she hides who she really is.
So yes, I absolutely think this moment was linked to Emma being closeted and that an episode where Emma comes out of the closet… means something. In fact I think it means exactly what it should mean.
The evolution is not happening in a vacuum here. Last episode gave them so many romantic fairy tale scenes. Wishes. Princesses. Singing. Saving. They were getting ready to leave while holding hands. They even marked the two obstacles they have to face before they can be together by having both shoot arrows at them.
Isn’t it interesting that the first issue was Snow White? You know, the mother who made the decision to put Emma in the closet?
…and that the second issue was Robin Hood? The man Regina thinks she should be with? In both of these moments something good was about to happen. Regina almost had Emma convinced when the Charmings showed up and without Robin’s intervention, they would have had an easy time getting back.
Emma said she remembers who she is - and I think she meant the Emma we met in Season 1. Last season we had Ruby’s story and as I’ve mentioned, the wolf is Emma’s guide, so it should have been a precursor to what’s going to happen for Emma later on. I think we’re all ready for later on.
We also started the season with these little gems…
…and they heavily insinuated all of our characters had some Untold Stories - the premise of this season, remember?
So if their entire show was meant to show us how women are socialized - put into a closet of expectation - and told what they can and can’t do - except they used a 28-year-old orphan who hadn’t gone through the process before instead of with an infant - then it makes sense Emma couldn’t come out before we got close to the end of their story.
It does imply that once they come out of the closet in the next episode, it will have to become more and more obvious to everyone how they really feel about each other.
Then there is the extended symbolism, where Emma going through the wardrobe marked the moment when Emma went to her very own Narnia. It was when she became part of the fairy tale world. She went through and became a fairy tale character. It wasn’t when she broke the curse or when magic came to Storybrooke. Things got crazy the second she woke up in that jail cell after the car crash - because that normally doesn’t happen in our world - or it really, really shouldn’t. Hospital’s the way to go. So I think going through the wardrobe also marks the moment when she left our world… and if they’re going back to Storybrooke through the wardrobe, it may be them coming back from their Narnia and we’re on our way to split the two worlds again into our world and the Enchanted Forest.
I was also thinking about Wonderland and how… the wardrobe also had restrictions. It only had enough magic for two to cross to another realm, so if Emma, Regina and Robin go through it, that may be the reason there are negative consequences. If we were supposed to link it to the Wonderland rules, the same applies, because only Emma and Pinocchio went through.
I’ve written about it here, but in short… there lies another story hidden beneath the surface. Pinocchio is the symbol of lying and August W. Booth is a reference to the concept of the unreliable narrator. It would make sense that the biggest secrets of the story are hidden behind those two characters. In fact, it would almost be odd if they didn’t use them to mark some sort of lie or warped reality that wasn’t obvious at first.
I think it’s possible the 7-year-old boy who found Emma as a baby couldn’t be tracked down because the newspaper or the police changed the gender to protect the child’s identity. When we landed in Once Upon a Narnia, the stories of our world were warped and so Regina’s story - in this case - was hidden behind that of Pinocchio.
I suspect Regina was the little girl who found baby Emma and saved her life. Emma was found outside of the woods of Storybrooke. Their ages match. Even if we leave this Narnia, it would be a beautiful modern fairy tale. Regina saves baby Emma, Emma saves Regina by giving her a son and in the end they end up saving themselves and each other when they meet again.
If this is really the case, then Pinocchio was always Regina. They were both the only ones who went into the wardrobe and now they will both come out together…
In which I desperately try to avoid giving you spoilers…
You’ll recall that I had a sneak play of “Episode 2″ of this way back in April 2016.
I was very excited then, but such is the nature of these things that I was restricted in what I could say - I did always know that Jack was going to be in this, and in fact I had an over-eager conversation with Nathan at the closing party of The Distance where I mentioned the tie choice they’d made for Jack and mentioned that it was one of my favourites. Bless him, he was suitably enthused about it!
(Look at that tie - isn’t it gorgeous?)
So, what do we have? OK, here we go, with something that’s half-review, half epic fangirling!
Part graphic novel, part ‘choose your own adventure’ game, the 4th season* of ‘Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries’ sets out it’s stall in the pre-credit sequence: Murdoch Foyle is back, taunting Phryne even as he is supposedly led to the gallows to be hung for the murder of her sister Janey.
This: “Murder at the Opera” is the first of a proposed eight episode series**. It’s not a spoiler to say that the reappearance of Foyle is the over-riding arc of the season. But he makes only a slight appearance here, book-ending the plot of a murder at The Princess Theatre in Melbourne.
We pick up, well, it’s not clear actually. We’re definitely post-airfield, but *when* exactly we are, and whether Jack did ‘come after’ Phryne are never clarified - the evening at the Opera is described as a date if you choose one path through the many routes available to you, but if you choose another, well, let’s just say that Phryne’s Boudoir is still receiving it’s fair share of overnight guests…
The art work is gorgeous - a selection of everyone’s favourite Phryne outfits can be chosen from, and we spend the first Act of the ‘novel’ with Jack in a tux. Phan-girl heaven!
(The above is just one of several outfit options available to you - all of them gorgeously realised)
(Jack in a tux!!!!!)
And the music! Greg J Walker’s excellent compositions from the TV show are all here, often in extended versions that really help to enhance the mood and tone of Lisa Jeong’s excellent artwork.
The whole thing is at times reminiscent of the dizzy heights of Season 2: Phryne and Jack flirt and banter; Aunt P is scathing but ultimately concerned for Phryne and her Found Family; and Dot continues her character development arc in a marvellous piece of undercover work.
If you’re worried that you might not have the skills to play the game, worry not. It is very, very intuitive, and in fact the game won’t let you move on until you’ve discovered a vital clue, going so far as to pretty much tell you which screen you need to be going to if you are trying to ‘go the wrong way’.
Phryne does a lot of sleuthing, all of it with her trademark wit and zeal. She’s less afraid to ‘get her hands dirty’ than she perhaps is in the TV show - there’s a bit in an alley that would probably usually fall to Hugh to deal with, but here the constraints of producing artwork mean that it’s Phryne doing the physical work.
The plot is clever, well written, and - it makes sense! The use of little summary boxes for storage in your ‘detective journal’ delivers some absolute gems such as this:
Really, when it’s written down like that, the whole thing does come across as faintly ridiculous. Kudos to Nicholas Bell for managing to make Murdoch Foyle so intimidating.
I have no idea what the release schedule is going to be, and at the moment it’s on iOs for iPad or iPhone only - I know, I know! If, like me, you have an Android phone, and the only iteration of Apple you own is the Mac Mini, then this *is* disappointing. But you’ve maybe got a friend who’s willing to lend you their iPad - it’s worth asking them, and that’s how I’m able to join in all the fun. There is a reason for this: the people at Apple and Android have very specific requirements for what’s contained within the code of the applications they allow onto their platforms. I am told, by people who work in the industry (including the aforementioned owner of the borrowed iPad), that it is much, much easier to code for iOs first, and then adapt to Android later - try it the other way and you apparently find yourself pretty much reinventing the wheel each time.
It appears that the cost is 2.99 of your local currency (seems to be that in both US Dollars and UK Pounds). I’m honestly going to spend more than that on my lunch tomorrow, and this has far less bad calories in it. I presume that the rest of the run will cost the same, meaning that the whole Season will be about the same price as a Box Set DVD release.
*Season 4? Why, yes. Look, we know we’re not getting a TV Season 4, at least not anytime soon. This has eight episodes and it picks up after Season 3. So, you know…
**Not to be too blunt, but if sales aren’t what they need to be, they won’t have the capital to release them all. I’m sorry if that ‘sounds like blackmail’. I know that ‘everyone’ has an Android phone, but as detailed above, that’ll be coming later. For now, if you have an iPhone or iPad, please support the game. Supporting the game means supporting the show, and creators deserve to be paid for their effort. Tin Man is run from a tiny space, smaller than Phryne’s parlour, with people crammed in and working their guts out. They’re an amazing team, and they so deserve to have this be a success after how long they’ve been working on it.
Original Tour Cast (Troy Iwata, Rebecca Duckworth, Jon Friestedt)
people have been asking for more songs from the tour production of the lightning thief musical so here’s “on the same boat” !!! it encompasses the majority of the quest post-medusa so a version of this song might show up in the extended musical but it will most likely be very different
(btw note grover’s line “if we’re lucky they’ll end up in an abyss" said w/ a heavy wink to the audience as a reference to hoh, which was the last book released before the musical came out :))))
Hello! It’s been a while since I’ve posted something like this… so bear with me! It was requested by an anon that’s entering a university as a Graphic Design major, so here are some supplies I recommend and why! (I may do a spoken and visual extended version as a video, so let me know what you guys think!)
(disclaimer: this is my opinion and I haven’t tried everything in the world, so if you have your own recommendations definitely reblog and say so in your caption! I’d love to check out your favorite supplies!)

[ I’ve recently started this series on AO3 where I take Magnus and Alec scenes from the Shadowhunters TV show and I write extended or alternate versions of them. I’d really appreciate it if you checked them out and showed them some loving. Also, go and watch my Malec videos here - because I am proud of them too - Side Note: I do not own the gifs that are in this post so credit to the original owners ]
forgive me if this offer only extended to the user you messaged but could i get recs for joanna live performances? shes my fave artist of all time but ive never really heard any live stuff
I am absolutely always ready to recommend Joanna Newsom live performances! here are some of my favorites.
let’s start with a classic song and a consistent member of Joanna’s setlist. “Emily,” in 2010. it’s probably her most loved song, and the intricate arrangement and instrumentation of the studio version become really dynamic when live. that final chorus is a miracle. a miracle!!
“Leaving the City,” in 2013. p4kfest! this isn’t in a technical sense her best performance of this song - she sounds kinda tired, and I think she even messes up the harp part at the beginning - but it’s a really magical one because i believe it’s the first time she performed it at all. these people are hearing it for the first time ever! as such, they are not remotely prepared for the chorus with its multiple rhyme schemes, contradictory meters, and her fingers doing fucking laps on the harp. they start cheering, as one does. it had to be awesome to be there.
“In California,” in 2016. this is mostly here because it’s one of my all-time favorite jnew songs, and she doesn’t perform it that often. also I think her dress is gorgeous. AND I HAVE TORN MY SOUL APART FROM PULLING ARTLESSLY WITH FOOL COMMANDSSS
“Cosmia,” in 2011. this one’s great because there’s some banter at the beginning. also, it’s just Joanna and her harp, which I LOVE for cosmia - the studio version, like most of Ys, is just so complex and multilayered in its arrangement and the number of instruments involved. but this is a song about loneliness and grief, and I find it gets a lot more intimate and chilling when it’s just her.
“Sapokanikan,” in 2015. this is one of her best performances vocally, imo. those high notes at the end are so clear and gorgeous. love it love it love it.
ok, so, now: Best Live Performance Ever. “Baby Birch,” in 2010. what makes this the best Joanna live performance of all time? the song builds and builds so slowly with just her and the harp, and then when we hit that cathartic climax, all the instruments and elements (violin! trombone! cymbal! electric guitar! vocal harmonies!!!) that have just sneaked in and out so far come in and carry us through. everything’s working together so well, and the outro is gorgeous. but what really makes this is how openly emotional Joanna is, both in vocals and expression. this is her most gut-wrenching song, and it’s all there. best live performance.
(honorable mention for this #deepcut audio of “Only Skin” from before Ys was released. it’s on piano, not harp (!), and it’s an altered version of the song’s last couple of movements. it’s an early draft. I love it because it feels like a window into her creative process.)
Here it is, people~ ^^ Since there were quite a few who wanted the Mafia Boss drabble to be turned into a series, I have granted your wish haha. Basically, this is the extended version of that drabble. Hope you’ll like it, lovelies! Enjoy~
WARNING! Those who don’t handle violence and strong language well, be ware. This is not, I repeat not, a series suited for young and sensitive readers.
All characters in this series, aside from the members of BIGBANG, are fictional. Any resemblance to real life people, in name or otherwise, are purely coincidental.
Summary: Finding out that the man you loved was a feared mafia boss was the last thing you had expected.
What mods do you recommend for someone who's just getting their Morrowind modding feet wet?
The first thing I recommend to people is to try Morrowind with a bare minimum of mods first to experience the world and gameplay in its original form - this way you have a sense of how various mods come in and shake things up and can make an informed decision if you like it or not. I will purposely steer away from most graphics and content mods here since they are each a whole ‘nother ball of wax for another time, but if you’re ready to look at adding mods to the game, the starter pack which I recommend would include:
Wrye Mash Standalone- if you’re planning on installing a bunch of mods or want to swap out different graphical replacers, then Mash is a must. It’s the best mod manager for TES3. The Morrowind Modding Wiki has a fairly comprehensive article on using Mash and it may seem daunting, so I would say the two most important features for players are Installers (you can put mod packages into a folder to install/uninstall using Mash rather than cluttering your Data Files folder if you then decide to try removing a mod) and Repairing a Save Game.
mlox - this program should be used in tandem with Mash to organize your mods. This program uses an extensive database of mods to set a load order with the best chance of eliminating conflicts and errors.
Morrowind Code Patch - still actively being supported by our resident wizard, Hrnchamd, MCP was just updated to 2.3. The effect the patches included in the MCP have on the quality of life when playing cannot be overstated.
4GB Patch and Exe Optimizer - these two programs combined significantly reduce the number of CTDs you will experience while playing. Even if you don’t want to use mods, use these. Install MCP first, then 4GB Patch, then EXE Optimizer - the order is important.
Morrowind Graphics Extender XE - major graphical enhancement to the game without even updating any models or textures. I would recommend limiting your distant land to under 7 cells. Removing the artificial “veil” by being able to look across the entire island is great for screenshots, but removes some of the mystery which lends to this old game’s charm. I personally use the beta version from Hrnchamd which can be found here and have found it to be relatively stable.
tes3cmd (<– warning, direct download to latest version as of this post!) - To get to the download page yourself, follow the MW Modding Wiki instructions. I recommend this insanely powerful program to players for one primary reason: Multipatch. tes3cmd can create a patch from your entire load order to fix a number of common issues. The MW Modding Wiki has instructions for creating a batch file to help make the multipatch creation easier since tes3cmd is a command line program with no GUI.
Morrowind Acoustic Overhaul - this mod overhauls the environmental, music, and effect sounds in the game. Even having the option to have a player voice. This mod is an impressive technical feat which will truly help immerse you in the world of Morrowind.
Morrowind Patch Project - like the unofficial patches you may be familiar with from later Bethesda titles, the MPP is an extensive bug squasher. Version 1.6.6 is the latest, but you will need to install 1.6.5b first.
Boats and Silt Striders - makes the “fast travel” services of boats and silt striders have a “scenic” option where you can actually ride the ship or giant flea. Excellent, must have mods. If you’re wanting another excellent transportation mod by abot, check out Guars.
Fatigue and Magicka Overhaul - managing fatigue and magicka burn in TES3 is fairly challenging. Not that it’s wrong, but this mod - along with other alternatives like it - make the systems function a bit more like TES4 and TES5 while still remaining balanced for TES3. Note: if you’re playing a magic character, you might be interested in Mastering Magicka which is a gameplay mod focused on magic users. You’ll just want to turn off its magicka regen feature if using it with this mod.
Go To Jail - instead of just getting warped outside of an Imperial Fort, you will actually serve your time if you commit a crime. This mod may be geared more towards thievish players, but it’s still a great addition to the game.
Graphic Herbalism - geared more towards magic characters, this mod makes it so if you pick from a plant, it will change visually as a helpful queue not to bother with it.
Morrowind Containers Animated - this mod makes containers open when you activate them like in the later Bethesda titles. A relatively simple mod, but to great effect.
There are so, so many more amazing mods out there. I myself keep a very full mod list when I am actually playing and not modding. Get in there on MMH and Nexus and find your own diamonds in the gold! Or feel free to ask me if you’re looking for something in particular. if you think I missed some crucial mods, feel free to let me know.
