Canna-Tips for better sleep
Sleep is a fickle thing for some of us, some nights I get maybe 3-4 hours if I’m lucky. Stones, herbs and teas, etc. can all be useful to bring on a restful sleep.
Stone energy is something I strongly believe in, they are part of the earth and the earth gives out tremendous energy in many ways. Many stones connect to the realm of dreams and sleep, some are better to help clear the mind to let sleep rush in. Amethyst stones helps calm thoughts and welcome sleep, Labradorite is another great stone to calm the nerves and mind, it’s my favorite go to stone for this purpose. Quartz can bring on easy dreams while Moonstone can help with intuitive dreams.
Adding herbs into the mix is a great way to add power, again another being of earth. You can use them as oils, incense, or teas to bring a quicker result. Catnip is a great herb for restful and calm sleep, which is funny enough that for cats it makes them get the ‘kittie-crazies’! Steeping for a tea is the best way, but also mixing with Indica can be helpful as well. You can make canna-tea using steams but if you use the flower you’ll want to make a latte of sorts since the THC isn’t water-soluble. Here is a link on the best way to make canna-tea. Lavender and Chamomile is your typical choices and work just the same. I’d recommend Lavender oils if you like to use Lavender as its more potent. Chamomile works as a great incense, which you can mix with a bit of cannabis flower. Yes this will “hot box” your room, as long as you don’t over do it you’ll be fine. Another top is cutting off your connection from technology about an hour before bed. Harder to do, I’m addicted to my phone, but after I put my phone down it takes about 30 minutes to finally go to sleep. Take this time to meditate, journal, read, and/ or stretch/yoga.
Also keep a sleep record, help you track your sleep and experiment ways to help you find you best sleep. There are many apps and websites, or you could simple keep a record in a journal. Happy sleeping!
