Long Lost Love

PART TWO | PART THREE

Malachai Parker.

The sociopath that all of your friends despise. He has manipulated and killed a handful of people here and there, but there was this one person on earth that tamed him after all of this time. You.

You basically had him wrapped around your finger the day he fell for you. At first, you weren’t attracted to him at all because your group of friends drew him out as a murderer, which he technically was, but overtime, he grew on you. Kai knew he had to have you when he first met you and that’s exactly what he accomplished.

You and your boyfriend had a talk and agreed on leaving Mystic Falls to start a new life together. You felt that a going away party wasn’t needed, although Caroline would love to plan it. So your plan was to just leave this godforsaken town and text your friends about it once you were miles away.

Alaric & Jo’s wedding day is today, but you chose to skip it since it made things complicating since you’re with Kai. Not to mention, Kai’s even attempted to kill Jo once or twice.

You had a few personal items left to pack, which wasn’t going to take more than an hour. Kai said he had to take care of a few things before the two of you head out on the road to your new beginning.

An hour passes and you’re now wondering where your boyfriend is. He said it wouldn’t take long, so you took his word for it. After 5 unanswered calls you started to get worried so you tracked his phone and drove to wherever it is located.

After driving around for 15 minutes, you arrive at a chapel. “What the hell?” You questioned as you parked, looking back and forth from your phone and the front of the chapel. Then finally, it came to you and you felt nothing but hurt and disgust. Kai is here to kill Jo.

“Oh my god.” You threw your phone on the passenger seat and hurried out of the car. You noticed the shattered glass surrounding the building.

There was an ounce of hope that you could get to your boyfriend on time to stop him. “Kai!” You screamed his name as tears streamed down your cheeks. Your hopes for starting a better life with your boyfriend was instantly crushed thanks to him. He just couldn’t help himself.

“Kai!” You called his name once again. Arriving inside the chapel, you see nothing but dead bodies and destruction everywhere. This was obviously Kai’s doing. “No no no no. This can’t be happening.” You we’re so close to having a panic attack.

Finally, you find Kai with blood on his face and all over his clothes. There was a devilish smile plastered all over his face from the evil he has done.

You also noticed that he was talking to Bonnie who was laying on the floor, looking as if she is fighting for her life. Normally, you would run to your friend to help her, but you were so distraught about everything that happened that your feet were glued to the floor.

“Kai! What have you done?!” You cried out, cutting Kai off from whatever he was saying to Bonnie.

You immediately got Kai’s attention, but Bonnie was still struggling on the floor that she slowly turned her head to look at you. Kai’s devilish smile was instantly gone and it turned into guilt. He had high hopes that he was going to get away with this. “Shit.” He mouthed to himself.

“Baby. I can explain.” Kai pleaded, slowly putting his hands up in defense.

“Explain?!” You yelled out in frustration.

Out of the blue, you see Damon vampire speed up to Kai and chops of his head with his bare hand.

And that’s when everything around you just stops. “Oh my god.” You said, then ran over to your boyfriend’s dead body. “Damon why?!” Even though Kai is responsible for all of these deaths and destruction, you couldn’t help but ask.

“You’re kidding me, Y/N?” Damon asked after he fed vampire blood to Bonnie.

You laid your head on Kai’s chest and just cried. Damon felt no remorse for you and left with Bonnie.

“You fucking bastard. How could you?!” You yelled at Kai even though you were aware that he’s 100% dead. After everything that you have been through with him and the assumptions that he was a changed man, he had to throw it all away. You didn’t even bother giving Kai and the other dead bodies a proper burial. Instead, you lit the entire building on fire.

(Days later…)

Pain. Pain is all you’ve felt these past few days. So many unanswered questions had flooded your mind.

You couldn’t live with the pain any longer and all Mystic Falls did was remind you of your dead boyfriend. Damon even offered to compel you to forget about Kai, but you didn’t want to cheat, you just couldn’t. So instead, you moved away to live with your relatives in New Orleans.

It didn’t occur to you at first that New Orleans is where Klaus and Elijah had moved to. You also recently found out that Tyler’s friend, Hayley had a baby with Klaus and supposedly has a thing with Elijah. But as complicating as the Mikaelson family is, you surprisingly grew close to them, especially to Kol, who you thought was dead at first, but he informed you that his best friend, Davina helped bring him back.

Aside from being reunited with his family, Kol felt like he had no real purpose after he was brought back to life, until he eventually connected with you. It’s ironic because your very own friends killed him in the first place, but you even informed him that you had nothing to do with his death and actually had no idea that Elena and Jeremy planned it. “What’s done is done, dear Y/N. All that matters now is being here with you.” Kol had once told you. Luckily, time heals all wounds.

Since you were far far away from Mystic Falls and have no intentions on going back, you didn’t care to update your friends that you and Kol Mikaelson are now an item. Your ex boyfriend, Kai did cross your mind every now and then, but as time went on, you thought about him less and less.

(Years later…)

The longer you were away from Mystic Falls, the less often you and your friends kept in touch. It was fine with you because they have their own lives going on and you have yours being utterly happy with the life you have with Kol.

Something you weren’t aware of was the madness going on in Mystic Falls about the devil in the flesh named, Cade terrorizing the souls of Damon and Stefan.

There also had been all sorts of nonsense going on with Kol’s siblings and the patrons of New Orleans, but the two of you always stayed out of it. Even Rebekah kept her distance from it all.

You and your boyfriend spent your years together traveling around the world. Since he has been around for over 1000 years, money was never the issue.

Although traveling was simply amazing, you made sure to make stops and stick around New Orleans for a few weeks because the constant flying made you miss being on land.

*Meanwhile in Mystic Falls*

Damon and Alaric were inside the cave so that Damon could show Alaric the weapon that could possibly destroy Cade. As Damon was chit chatting about all of his knowledge and suggesting to exchange half-assed apologizes, a very familiar figure disrupts. That very figure was the heretic himself, Malachai Parker.

“Yeah sorry to interrupt, but someone please tell me where my baby girl is.” Kai announced. Alaric looked like he’d seen a ghost and Damon shot him a glare.

Supposedly, Kai was released from hell after the 11th bell was rung and all he could think about was getting to you. His feelings for you never changed. What he didn’t know is that you’ve already moved on with someone else.

There was no way your friends dared to tell Kai your exact whereabouts because they’d rather see you continue your life without Kai in the picture, no matter how happy he used to make you.

But since Kai is a heretic and all, he used a locator spell to come and find you, no matter the distance.

“Angel” Klaus Mikaelson

“You can stay here for as long as you need Elena.” You say as you open the door for her. “You actually don’t know how much this means to me, thank you *yn*.” She says before pulling you into a tight hug. You smiled softly as you hugged her back, you would do anything to help her.

You and Elena had been friends since you were little, your parents had always been close with hers. She had told you about vampires and Bonnie being a witch a few months after she had found out herself. A month after that your father had been killed by an ‘animal attack’. You didn’t know who did it but you swore you would find out. You got so angry that you blurted it out that you knew about vampires to your mum. She had asked you how you had known and it turned out that she had known about vampires for a long time but you never knew how she had found out. Or why she was tolerant of them.

A month ago Elijah Mikaelson emerged, when you had told your mum she panicked because she had a feeling that he wouldn’t be the only Mikaelson to return to Mystic Falls. Sure enough, Klaus and the rest of the family had returned. You had never seen Klaus for yourself, but what Elena had told you made you absolutely petrified of him. A week ago your mum decided she wanted to keep you extra safe so she made the house legally yours and said it could now be a safe house. She told you not to invite any vampires inside, even if they were your friends.

Yesterday she had gone out of town for work, she didn’t want to but you insisted that she left because you knew how important her job was to her. It was only a few hours after she had left when Elena rang you, crying. She was panicking about Klaus and what he was going to do to her and everyone she cared about. You didn’t even think twice before offering for her to come over and stay with you until Klaus was killed, so here she was.

“I got some of the bags from the car for you- uff.” You giggle as Damon grunts when he tries to use his vampire speed to go through the front door and ends up getting knocked back. “Would’ve been nice if you’d told me.” He huffs and you roll your eyes. He stands up and raises a brow. “You gonna invite me in or not?” He asks.

“No, this is a safe house that means no vampires are aloud.” You state and he opens his mouth to reply when Stefan appears next to him. “She’s right Damon, in order for it to be completely safe, for Elena no vampires can be invited in.” He says giving him a pointed look. Damon sighs and shuts his mouth before dropping Elena’s bags at the front door. “*yn*!” You look up to see Bonnie and Caroline hurrying towards you.

“Bon!” You giggle and envelope her in a tight hug. “I’m gonna go say hi to Elena.” She says before brushing past you and inside. “Oh me to!” Caroline says. “I wouldn’t-” You stop yourself as Caroline tries to get inside.

“No vampires remember blondie?” Damon says sarcastically as Caroline hits the invisible forcefield. “*yn* didn’t mean me when she said that.” Caroline scoffs but her face drops when she sees your guilty face.

“What! *yn* you can’t be serious!” She complains and you just shrug. “I’m sorry Care, but I promised my mum no vampires even if they’re my friends.” You say and she moans. “This could not get any worse.”

“*yn* tell me you got some food in your house!” Jeremy calls from the truck as he and Matt hop out. “Of course.” You laugh. “Sweet, we’ll be in the kitchen then.” Matt says patting your shoulder before they both walk into the house.

“I stand corrected.” Caroline groans.

Bonnie, Caroline, Damon, Stefan, Matt, Jeremy, Elena and you all spend the rest of the afternoon out on the porch playing cards and just having fun. As it started getting dark one by one everyone left, Matt and Jeremy the last to leave until it was just you and Elena sitting outside.

The two of you headed inside and ended up on the couch under a blanket watching some rom-com. “I’m so scared *yn*.” She murmured quietly. “It’s going to be ok Elena, we’re going to defeat Klaus. He’s not going to hurt you.” You whispered and hugged her tightly. “It’s not me I’m worried about, it’s all of you. Klaus is evil, he’ll do anything to hurt me and manipulate me.” She murmured and you smiled lightly at her selflessness.

“I think we’ve all handled worse than some arrogant vampire who’s clearly underestimated us, because we’re going to kick his ass.” You smile and she giggles hugging me tighter. “Thank you for being such a good friend *yn*, I love you.”

“I love you too Elena.” You grin hugging her back. Eventually we put the movie back on and soon Elena’s drifted off and is fast asleep on the couch. You smile and shake your head, it wasn’t even completely dark yet.

Suddenly the door bell rang causing you to jolt. Elena mumbled and her face twitched as she woke up. “I’ll get it.” You whispered and she nodded before closing her eyes again, she deserved a rest.

You sighed and paused the movie before heading to the door. You were wearing pyjamas and you looked like a mess but you didn’t really care at this point. “Hi how can I help you?” You ask as you pull open the front door.

The hairs immediately stand up on the back of your neck and goosebumps rise on your skin at the sight of the man before you. He was handsome, but had a mysterious aura around him that you didn’t like. He smirked and said nothing as he looked you over. You studied his face and the breath caught in your throat when you stared into his eyes. They were dark and had lost the shine a man his age should have, they almost looked soulless, like he had seen to much horror in this world. But there was also an evil glint hidden behind that as well, that was what you feared.

“Y-you’re Klaus aren’t you?” You mumbled and his smirk widens.

“You certainly catch on quickly love.” He spoke huskily and fear ran through your body at his cold voice.

“You can’t compel me, I take vervain every day.” You spoke and he chuckled. “I have no doubt you would love, and why would I compel you when I can already have so much fun with you?”

“What do you want?” You spat as your confidence grew knowing he couldn’t get to you. “I just heard that Elena was moving to a safe house, thought I might as well get to know the person she’s staying with considering I’ll be keeping tabs on Elena and what not.” He smirks.

“Go to hell.” You hiss and he laughs.

“You know I didn’t expect you to be so ravishingly beautiful, but feisty too? Now that was a surprise.” He grins and that just makes you more infuriated.

You were done with his games so you grabbed the door and moved to slam it in his face.

“Uh, uh, uh I wouldn’t do that.” He tuts. “Why not?”

“Because I was out and happened to stumble upon this.” He says and you peer through the crack in the door to see him holding Elena’s diary in his hand.

“How did you get that?” You asked angrily ripping the door open causing his smirk to widen.

“It was just lying around, now I was thinking we could read a bit from page twenty there’s some quite juicy stuff about Damon in here..” He says as he flicks through the pages.

You didn’t know what caused you to do it, probably because of how fiercely loyal and protective you were of Elena. You knew how personal that diary was to her and seeing someone like Klaus read it made you sick.

So you instinctively reached your hand out to snatch it from him. Everything happened so quickly, suddenly his hand gripped your wrist and pulled you outside of the safety of your home and whipped you around to pin you against the wall.

Suddenly his eyes were pierced into yours as he barred you from escaping. You shivered under his intense gaze as he studied every inch of your face. “I like this fire in you.” He spoke.

“Just go ahead, kill me.” You spat and his eyes softened.

Klaus didn’t know why he was so intrigued by this human girl, maybe it was her innocence, maybe it was her vulnerability, maybe it was her loyalty to her friends, maybe it was her tenacity but it was probably a combination of all of them. He couldn’t help but feel hurt at the fact that she just assumed he would kill her right away, but at the same time couldn’t blame her. His reputation preceded him.

“I’m not going to hurt you love.” He chuckled as he brushed a strand of loose hair behind your ear. Goosebumps rose up on your skin as he trailed his fingers down your neck and your heartbeat quickened as he traced his finger across your collarbone lightly.

“You know what skill comes with being a thousand years old? I can tell by someones heartbeat what they’re feeling. Whether it’s fear, excitement, arousal.” He spoke softly as he licked his lips.

“Right now you’re probably trying to figure out whether your scared of me or rushing with adrenaline at the thought of being this close to me.” He whispered as his lips brushed against your ear causing you to close your eyes.

“But I already know the answer.” He murmurs into your ear. “Maybe you aren’t as innocent as you think you are love.” He whispered before placing a kiss on your ear.

You heard a whoosh and you slowly peeked your eyes open. You took a deep breath and steadied yourself as you glanced around to see you were the only one on the porch. You shook your head and calmed yourself down before heading inside even though you were still shaken up with what had just occurred.

Had Klaus just been flirting with you?

And more importantly did you like it? No of course you didn’t he was evil, he was after Elena and he couldn’t be trusted.

“Who was that?” Elena mumbled sleepily. “Just some sales person.” You laughed shakily but she was too tired to notice as you sat back down, your mind whirring a million times an hour.

“Hey *yn*, I didn’t think you were working tonight?” Your manager asked when he saw you walk behind the bar. “I’m covering for Matt, he’s got an exam tomorrow and is in desperate need of study.” You sigh as you slip on your Mystic Grills shirt over your singlet. You dump your bag in the back and chuck your hair into a high ponytail as your manager laughs at your expense about how you were to nice for your own good and couldn’t say no.

That was partially true, but Matt had been failing a lot of his classes this year and you were glad to see him so eager to study, so you had actually offered to cover his shift. But you didn’t tell your manager because you knew he’d just pay you out even more for being soft.

You kind of wanted to get out of the house anyway, Elena was ‘studying’ with Damon on the porch, which basically meant constant flirting. You could hear their laughs all the way up to your room. It was kind of frustrating, it was so obvious she had feelings for him yet she was stuck in this love triangle and didn’t know how to escape it.

Even though it wasn’t ideal spending your Sunday night at the Mystic Grill, it was better than nothing. It had been a few days since your run in with Klaus and you had managed to push it to the back of your mind as school took over.

You had just served a cocktail to a customer and had begun wiping the bench down when an attractive guy sat at one of the stalls.

“Hi, welcome to Mystic Grill how can I help you today?” You asked politely as you slung the towel over your shoulder and approached the guy. A mischievous smirk lit up his face when he saw you. “I’ll have whatever you recommend, darling.” He spoke smoothly. His accent was different, but you liked it and you blushed at his nickname. “I uh can get you a beer?” You spoke and you wanted to punch yourself in the face at your awkwardness.

A beer? Really?

“Sounds wonderful darling.” He chuckled in amusement at how obviously flustered you were. You said nothing else as you hurried off in embarrassment to grab a beer bottle from the fridge. Ok act cool, you thought.

You painted on a confident smile as you walked back over to him and you slid him the beer. “Thank you darling.” He smiled.

You were to embarrassed to notice but as he reached for the beer in your hand, your vervain bracelet brushed against his hand. Being an original he wasn’t to affected by it and managed to act like nothing had happened but he had felt it. Immediately his eyes narrowed suspiciously as he studied your innocent face.

You knew about his kind.

He said nothing else as he took a swig of his beer and followed your movements as you went to greet another customer.

Once you were free of customers he had a chance to talk to you again. “So have you lived in Mystic Falls your whole life?” He asks and you nod.

“Born and raised.”

“It’s quite odd how many animal attacks there are in this town isn’t it?” He suddenly spoke causing you to go rigid.”Um yeah I guess, but we do live near quite a big forest so…” “Mm I suppose so, it’s still quite odd though, like there’s something that’s not quite right…” You had no idea what to say as you struggled to find the right words.

“Kol, stop pestering the poor girl.” A familiar voice spoke and your blood ran cold as you saw Klaus walking up to the bar. It didn’t take long for you to put two and two together, this was Kol Mikaelson, Klaus’ brother.

“What do you want?” You snap. “I’d like a glass of bourbon please.” He spoke and your eyes narrowed. “It seems you’ve met my dearest brother then.” Kol said glancing at Klaus and you gritted your teeth as you poured Klaus a glass of bourbon.

God you wished you could poison him right now. You said nothing as you slammed the glass on the table causing the liquid to slop out the sides before you marched away from the two.

“She’s a feisty thing.” Kol smirked in amusement.

“She’s one of Elena’s little friends.” Klaus replied.

“Ah, Elena Gilbert.” Kol said. “Shame about the vervain, imagine the fun you could have with her if you could compel the little thing.” Kol grinned as he studied your figure.

Klaus’ grip on his glass tightened as he took a sip, his eyes trained on you as you forced a smile when you served a customer.

Kol noticed instantly at his brother’s uncomfortableness and his smirk widened.

“You don’t have a soft spot for the girl do you?” Kol laughed and Klaus glanced at him.

“No.” He lied.

“*yn* you can head home now, we’re closing in half an hour anyway.” Your manager spoke and you sighed in relief. You said goodbye to him before hurrying into the back, you grabbed your shoulder bag and slung it over your shoulder. You glanced over to see Klaus and Kol at the pool table. Hopefully you could sneak out before they saw you and to where Matt was picking you up. You wanted to decline but he insisted on doing it considering you covered his shift.

As you hurried out the door Klaus happened to look over at the bar to see that you weren’t there. He looked over just in time to see you walking out the door and he murmured to Kol he’d be back before hurrying out after you.

You could hear footsteps behind you as you checked your phone when you saw you had a text from Matt saying he’d be here in five minutes.

You glanced over and resisted the urge to roll your eyes at the sight of Klaus.

“What?” You snapped and he tutted at your tone.

“I was just checking you were getting home safely.” He spoke and you scoffed.

“good to know the serial killer vampire cares about me getting home safely.” You sneered and his jaw clenches.

“How are you getting home?” He repeats and you roll your eyes.

“My friend is picking me up.” You replied.

“Who is your friend?” He asked. “That is none of your business.” You smiled sarcastically before looking back down at my phone.

“Why do you care anyway?” You question after a few moments of silence.

“Because you intrigue me, love.” He replied.

“And if I’m a thousand years old and a human of all things interests me, then they’re clearly worthy of my care.” He said softly and you studied him carefully.

“Why am I so interesting to you?”

“I’m not even sure I can answer that sweetheart.” He spoke calmly and it was the first time you had seen the vampire so gentle and vulnerable. You weren’t sure how to feel about it. But then you remembered how he had killed Elena’s aunt and all those other people and you knew that the way your heart was beating was wrong.

Klaus was about to say something when a horn honked and you peered over to see Matt pulling up across the road.

“I got to go.” You say awkwardly and before he can get another word in you’ve pulled the bag across your shoulder again and ran across the road.

He noticed that in your hurry to escape a small book had fallen out of your bag. He opened his mouth to call out to you but shut it and decided against it as he studied the leather book.

Klaus sat down on the ground next to the lamp post and opened the book carefully. Inside three quarters of the book was filled with polaroid pictures all with captions. He began at the start which happened to be the start of your freshman year. Pictures of you and a young Elena Gilbert, Bonnie Bennet and Caroline Forbes filled the pages with captions about what happened and why the photo was taken and he realised every photo held a precious memory.

He smiled and traced his finger across a photo of a younger you smiling happily with Elena. He flicked through every page as you got older and older, and he noticed that the older you got the more photos of animals you captured. Dogs, birds, sheep anything that caught your eye you had snapped a photo.

He smiled softly at the sight of a beautiful horse and realised it had been the focus of many of your photos. Horses were his favourite animal, maybe they were yours as well. His forehead creased when he spotted a photo of you in a cheerleaders uniform and a blonde haired football player placing a kiss on your cheek. The caption was titled “Me and Matty xx” and he couldn’t help but let his annoyance grow.

As he neared closer to the present day more photos of you with boys were pasted in. He grew even more annoyed when he saw numerous photos with Stefan and Damon Salvatore. One photo particularly annoyed him, it was a photo of you and Damon, he had obviously said something that made you laugh and you were grinning and looking at him happily. He knew nothing romantic was going on in this photo but it irked him that you looked at him like that. With trust and care. Damon Salvatore was a killer yet you were comfortable around him?

He finally reached the most recent photo from a few days ago and his heart sank, it was a photo of you, probably when you were around five, beaming and clutching a man tightly.

The caption read ‘1 year since you were taken from me, I love you daddy, I will find the vampire that murdered you, I promise xxx’

He sighed shutting the book so he didn’t have to look at that photo anymore, he knew he hadn’t killed your father but he still felt horrible knowing that his kind had taken a loving father away from an innocent girl.

You sighed as you smoothed out the creases in your stiff dress. Elena had convinced you and practically had to drag you out of the house to get you to come to this stupid town afternoon tea thing. You didn’t know what it was for considering Mystic Falls had so many events it was hard to keep up.

You had finally escaped the clutches of the constant nattering from the adults and had managed to sneak out into the garden. You had come across a beautiful horse and cart outside. You couldn’t resist the urge to go admire the magnificent white creature. You smiled softly as you stroked the stallions muzzle admiring his dark brown eyes and the way his muscles rippled under his skin.

“I thought I might find you out here.”

You looked over to see Klaus walking over to you, he was in a tux with his tie hung loosely around his collar. He looked good.

You were no longer afraid of him, you had realised he wasn’t going to hurt you.

“Horses are my favourite animal.” You replied as you stroked the horse gently.

“They are indeed beautiful creatures.” He spoke as he stood beside you and petted the horse softly.

“The only time my father ever got close to destroying me was when he killed my horse.” Klaus said and I looked up at his face, his eyes had glazed over and his jaw was clenched and for the first time I felt sorry for him.

“I’m sorry.” I said quietly and he snapped out of his angry gaze to look at me and his features softened.

“I’m sorry too love.”

“Sorry about what?” I questioned.

“About your father…” He trailed off and my forehead creased. “how do you know about my father?” I asked and he sighed and guiltily reached into his suit pocket. He pulled out my leather book and handed it to me.

“You dropped it the other night, and my curiosity got the better of me. I’m sorry.” He said as I snatched it from his grasp.

You felt yourself growing annoyed but you knew it wasn’t his fault.

“It’s okay, I would have done the same.” You murmur as you grasp onto it tightly.

He studies your forlorn face and felt bad about bringing up your father.

“I’m sure he was a good man.”

“He was.” You whisper as you pat the horse.

The two of you stood in silence as you attempted to blink away the tears threatening to surface.

“Would you like to go for a walk with me?” He asked quietly catching you off guard. You weren’t sure what to say, you knew this was wrong and if Elena found out she would hate you but something about him reeled you in, made you want to find out more about him.

“Ok.”

The two of you walked through the garden and made small talk.

“I couldn’t help but notice that you’re a cheerleader.” Klaus smirked causing you to blush. “Caroline introduced me to it.” You said and you didn’t notice his eyes lower at the mention of her name.

“And you also ran for Ms Mystic Falls in sophomore year.” He smirked and your embarrassment grew. “Caroline convinced me to do that as well.” You lied and his mischievous smirk grew even wider as he pulled out a piece of paper.

“What?” You asked.

“Nothing it’s just here it says that ‘you’ve dreamed of being Ms Mystic Falls since you could remember, you planned to follow in your ancestors footsteps to being a role model for all the little young hopefuls of this town.” He grinned and you realised he had your entry form.

“How did you find that?” You stutter in embarrassment and he laughed.

“Let’s see oh hobbies it says, doing my hair, oh and fashion designing how exciting and being the football team’s good luck charm-”

“Give it back Klaus!” You groaned as he laughed and held it out of your reach as you tried to grab it.

“Let’s see favourite animal, bunnies! That’s cute.” He teases and you finally manage to rip it out of his hand. His face is red with laughter at your flustered state but you couldn’t help but let a small smile on your face.

It was then that you realised the two of you had ended up on the hill overlooking the Lockwood mansion. You spied an easel with a canvas on it at the very top of the hill. Klaus looked at you in confusion as you headed up without another word towards the painting.

You stared at it in awe, it wasn’t finished but it was beautiful. It was kind of an abstract depiction of the mansion and the stream. It was darker, more twisted.

“Do you like it?” Klaus asked.

“You did this?” You asked in disbelief and he nodded.

“It’s beautiful.” You murmured as you looked back at the painting and Klaus felt happier knowing you liked it.

“It’s so….” You trail off as you try to find the right word.

“So sad.” You murmured as you glanced at him and his face fell. “Like there’s all this built up pain and torture and suffering.” You whispered as you stared at him.

His eyes were glistening as he looked at you and you began to realise the dangerous feelings that had developed.

“I’m sorry, I should go, Elena’s probably looking for me.” You whispered before hurrying down the hill leaving Klaus alone.

You sighed as you rubbed your temples. You sat down on your bed and brushed your hair out of it’s ponytail. Suddenly the bell rang, you weren’t sure who it was. You were home alone as Elena had gone to Bonnie’s house. You’d been invited but felt to tired from your encounter with Klaus to go. You adjusted your pyjama pants and hurried down the stairs.

You pulled open the door but was greeted with empty air. You looked outside in confusion but there was no one to be seen. As you took a step your foot hit a parcel. You glanced down and cautiously picked up the box and envelope.

You looked around again to make sure no one was around before shutting the front door. You hurried up to your room and sat on your bed so you could open the parcel.

You gasped as you opened the box, inside was a beautiful bracelet. It was kind of antique looking but it was stunning, the bracelet was dotted with diamonds with a jewel encrusted heart hanging from it. You studied the heart and noticed the little engravings of swirls and patterns. It was beautiful.

Curiously you opened the envelope and pulled out the card.

“A token of my affections for you, sweetheart.” Was written in delicate swirly handwriting but it wasn’t signed. As you went to pick up the envelope a piece of paper fell out of it. You snatched it off the floor and carefully examined it.

On it was a beautiful drawing of a horse. You smiled as you studied the delicate sketching and detail. The initials N.M were signed at the bottom.

Niklaus Mikaelson.

As beautiful as this gesture was you couldn’t accept it, it was wrong. He was the enemy. You sighed and placed the bracelet back in the box and slid the card into the envelope. You were about to place the horse drawing back in but you couldn’t bring yourself to do it and placed it on your bedside table.

It had been a few days since you had last seen Klaus and since he had sent you those gifts. Elena had been frantic about this Mikaelson Ball that was happening tomorrow night. She begged you to come with her but you had just shrugged and said you hadn’t been invited.

The door bell rang again and you sighed pausing the tv and dragging yourself off the couch. You opened the door but no one was there.

You looked down to see a huge box and an envelope placed neatly on top of it. You already knew who this was from.

You heaved it up the stairs and luckily Elena wasn’t around to see it and begin asking questions. You ripped open the envelope and scoffed. It was an invitation to the Mikaelson Ball.

You turned it around to see the familiar swirly writing,

“I hope you save me a dance - Klaus”

You placed the envelope on your bed and undid the ribbon on the huge box and opened the lid. You let out an involuntary gasp at the beautiful dress neatly folded inside. Carefully you pulled it out and studied it, it was a beautiful colour and it flowed like a princess gown. The neckline was dotted with diamonds and you noticed that the flowing skirt part had encrusted diamontes throughout it. This was to much, you shuddered at the thought of how expensive this would have been.

“*yn*!” Elena called and you could hear her feet running up the stairs. Hurriedly you stuffed the dress into the box and shoved it under your bed just as she walked into your room.

“I was wondering if you- what’s that?” She asked when she saw the envelope in your hand. Shit.

“I uh got invited to the ball.” You say sheepishly.

“Oh thank god that means you’re coming right!”

“Actually, I think I’m going to skip this one Elena.” You sigh. You didn’t want to see Klaus again, it would just confuse you further. He was the enemy, Elena was trying to kill him. You couldn’t feel these things and you couldn’t see him again.

What you didn’t know was that Klaus had been listening outside the house, his teeth gritted at your response and he felt his heart tighten when he realised you had rejected him. He hadn’t felt like this for a long time, and he did not like it.

You were trying to do some of your homework, typing away on your computer. You glanced over at the box containing the dress for what must have been the hundredth time this past hour.

Maybe you should just try it- no you scolded yourself. You sighed and ripped your eyes away from the sparkling dress but soon enough you felt yourself looking at it again.

“Ugh this is ridiculous.” You mumble turning on your side so you couldn’t see it. Maybe just one more glance, you thought as you snuck another look. “Ok that’s it.” You mumble getting up and shoving it in your closet.

Out of sight, out of mind right?

Wrong. A few minutes later you were glancing at your closed wardrobe.

“Screw it.” You mutter chucking your laptop on the bed and hurrying over to closet. You strip down and carefully slide it over your body.

Woah. You looked at yourself in awe in the full body mirror you had in your room. You actually looked really pretty, but how did he know my size?

You sighed as you stared at yourself, a part of you was aching to go. Suddenly your phone buzzed and you looked to see you had gotten a text from Elena.

Elena: Please, please, please come. Things going down w/ originals and Esther. I need you.

That was all it took for you to decide to go and before you could change your mind you replied saying you’d be there as soon as you can. Now you had to do your makeup and hair. Before you dashed into the bathroom you looked at the box containing the bracelet and smiled.

You took a deep breathe as you parked outside the mansion. You can do this, you thought to yourself. You examined your makeup and curled hair in your car mirror before hopping out of the car. You showed your invitation to the security outside before walking inside.

You felt embarrassed being this late as you adjusted your hair one last time and touched the bracelet Klaus’ had given you before walking into the main hall. You hated to admit it but you were hoping to see Klaus.

“*yn*! Oh my god you look beautiful!” Elena gushes as she hurries over to you. “Thanks Elena, so do you.” You smile hugging her tightly.

Damon and Stefan wandered over and both complimented you causing you to smile. Elena began to talk about Esther and her plan to get rid of Klaus when a breath caught in your throat. Klaus was here, dancing. But with someone. With Caroline.

You looked at her and jealousy filled your body. She looked so much better than you, with her blonde hair in ringlets and a bun and you noticed she was even wearing a similar style of dress to you. It didn’t take long before it clicked that he had invited her in your place and had also given her a dress. You didn’t know why but tears began to form and you quickly blinked them away.

Klaus nearly tripped over when he saw you. You looked so beautiful in that dress but guilt quickly filled up his heart. You had seen him and Caroline and he could tell that you had figured it out. All to soon you were looking away and pretending you had seen nothing.

You were so stupid, so stupid to think that you could change him. Make him a good person because he cared about you. But of course he didn’t. What were you? You were just a human and he was an original vampire. Of course he would never be interested in you.

“Are you ok *yn*?” Elena asked worriedly.

“Uh yeah I just really need a drink.” You sniff before hurrying past her and towards the drinks table. The three of them exchange confused glances but let you be alone.

You sighed and walked over to the drinks table. You poured a shot and quickly downed it before an adult could reprimand you.

“Hey *yn*.” A voice spoke and you looked up to see Matt approaching you.

“Hey Matty.” You smiled softly. “You look beautiful.” He complimented.

“Thank you.” You replied, Matt could tell something was up with you straight away.

“You wanna dance?” He coaxed. You glanced at the shot glass then at Matt’s hand and nodded taking his hand in yours as he led you to the dance floor.

Soon Matt had you laughing and almost made you forget about Klaus. Almost. The two of you spun around the dance floor as couples judged you, neither of you were very co-ordinated and you both laughed loudly as you stepped on each others toes. But you didn’t care what other people thought of you.

Klaus glared at the two of you from across the ballroom in jealousy. He didn’t know why but he always seemed to get jealous when it came to the blonde haired jock.

You glared at Klaus and Caroline. The way they were smiling and dancing so prim and proper. Ugh. It was when he whispered something in your ear that you felt sick and you tore your gaze away from them.

“Thanks Matty.” You mumble abruptly ending the dance between you two.

“Where are you going?” Matt asked. “I- I just need some air.” You stammered before shoving past people to get outside and away from Klaus.

You inhaled as you stood on the balcony away from the loud party. You were so confused, one minute you thought you hated him the next minute you were getting jealous over him being with another girl. It was exhausting and frustrating and you’d had enough.

You could hear footsteps from behind and you sighed and swung around. “Matt I really don’t want to-” You cut yourself off as you see Klaus standing there.

“Talk right now.” You whispered as he walked towards you.

“*yn* I can explain.” He spoke and the use of your real name sounded strange rolling off his tongue.

“It’s ok you don’t need to, I get it.” You murmured and he looked at you in confusion.

“I’m just some stupid human right? Mortal and weak. Why would a thousand year old original vampire hybrid be interested in me.” You scoffed forcing a harsh laugh.

“Why would you be interested in me if you could have Caroline. A strong, beautiful and brave vampire.” You murmured.

“That’s not it-”

“Stop lying.” You hissed. “Why else would you just invite her and replace me?”

“It was because you said no that I invited her!” He bellowed. “It’s because I can’t stop thinking about you and I shouldn’t be. You’re right you are a human. And a powerful monster like me shouldn’t care for an innocent girl like you.” He whispered.

“I needed to get you out of my head but it didn’t work!” He yelled. “Even when I’m with her all I think about is you, your innocence, your beauty, your fire, everything.” He whispered and you stared at him as he spoke and you realised how close he was to you.

“You shouldn’t feel things for me.” He murmured his voice cracking.

“I’m a monster, you’re an angel. It isn’t supposed to work.”

“You know what they say right?” You ask and his silence gives you the go ahead to speak.

“Even good girls need a little bad in their life.”

With those words his blazing eyes locked with mine and for a moment I swear everything came to a stand still. Klaus and you were frozen in time just looking at each other. And then it sped up.

Suddenly his lips crashed to yours and you reacted instantly, your body moulding into his as his firm hands grip onto your waist. It was a passionate yet hasty kiss as you ran your hands through his hair as he backed you up against the balcony railing.

The two of you pull apart and try to catch your breathe.

“I can show you the world.” He whispered against your lips.

“Let me?” He continued and you stared at him for a moment before pressing your lips hastily to his hopefully given him the answer he desired.

Time Travel + KC?

So sorry this took so long!!! Mentions of violence, gore, a tiny bit of angst.

When Bonnie Bennett had told her that time travel wasn’t a matter of moving forwards or backwards, but sideways, Caroline had laughed at her. The entire concept seemed impossible. One reality was more than enough. Bonnie had simply shaken her head, that familiar exasperation, and continued on with her little pet project.

Caroline had teased her occasionally, would sit on her back porch in Mystic Falls and debate the concept with her for hours.

“Somewhere there’s a me who actually likes Damon? Impossible.”

Bonnie rolled her eyes and took a slow sip of her beer, skin flushed in the heat of a Virginia summer. “Probably. Although it’s probably more likely that there is a reality where Damon is less of an ass.”

Caroline snorted out a mouthful of beer. “You like Damon.”

“Doesn’t mean I don’t realize how ridiculous he can be,” Bonnie said with a grin, handing her a napkin. “But it’s not every decision that branches, I think. Just the big ones.”

“Like what?”

Bonnie purses her lips. “Maybe you’re human.”

Caroline tipped her head back, stared up at the sunset. “That seems so strange.”

“Who knows?” Bonnie shrugged. “It’s just a theory. For all we know, certain events are set in stone and are bedrocks of a healthy universe.”

“Hey now,” Caroline protested, waving her beer. “That’s Batman logic, from the comics. Have you been holding out on me?”

Bonnie turned scarlet and spluttered. Caroline had teased her mercilessly, but all the while, a little thought had niggled at her. She’d shoved it to the side, refused to dwell on it. A promise she wasn’t certain she’d ever accept.

Caroline treasured that memory. The certainty of her friend that somewhere, things were different. Because for the last fifty years, everything had gone to hell.

Figuratively and literally.

A little imagination is a good thing

Saw gifs of the season 4 originals promo and had this idea.

Darkness and suffering.

His only two constant companions for the long stretch of years, the days that had inched by and yet bled together at the same time.

The darkness of his world and his mind, the physical and psychological suffering.

They never left him.

But sometimes they were interrupted.

“Camille,” Klaus gasps, pushing himself off the ground, his chains rattling on the floor and on his mind, “Camille!

I’m here.” Her voice, gentle and soothing reaches his ear and she is sitting behind him, her legs crossed and her hands in her lap. She is human and in good health, happy to listen to him as he wraps himself in self-pity and comfort.

He likes to hallucinate her, to let her voice filter through his mind like soft music, agreeing with him,

She was his only welcome visitor.

But there was another one who often made her presence known.

Seriously?!” A harsh voice cuts through the darkness, “You’re still down here?

Caroline Forbes storms across his prison cell, an invasion of light and life in his hell,

She glares down at him and kicks at his chains, causing them to scrape against the floor and tug on his raw wrists.

This is ridiculous, Klaus, you’re the Original hybrid, so stop feeling sorry for yourself and figure out an escape!

“We’ve been over this!” he snaps at her, his temper being the one part of him left with any real strength, “There is no escape.”

She scoffs and looks over his shoulder,

This is your fault,” she tells Camille, “If you didn’t coddle him and let him feel sorry for himself, he would have been out of here ages ago.”

She stomps her foot and paces the length of prison, examining the walls carefully and studying the iron hooks which hold his chains to the wall,

Think,” she says, frowning thoughtfully, “There is always a way.

How many times had she said this to him? How many times had they discussed the length and strength of his chains? The infrequency of Marcel’s visits? How he could possibly break the spell keeping him in this prison?

He supposed it was his own fault. When the boredom had first set in, he’d entertained himself with memories of Caroline, then fantasies where they’d coupled in his very cell in various positions and levels of intimacy.

Except then she’d started turning up in nightclothes, like she wore now and his brain had stopped allowing her to be a distraction and turned her against him as a form of torment.

Now, the only words she ever had for him were condemnatory- demanding that he escape- or scornful- furious that he allowed himself to be held this way.

“How are you, sweetheart?” he asks, trying to distract her as she stretches out to study the area. “Tell me you’re seeing the world, travelling or living your life.”

Her back is still to him but he knows that she’s rolling her eyes and she crosses her arms, as she spins on her heel to face him.

Why aren’t you desiccated?” she demands, frowning in confusion,

It’s been years, why aren’t you motionless on the floor?

He raises his arm to run a hand through his thick, curly hair,

“Marcel keeps me fed, not enough to gain my strength but enough to keep me conscious.”

But why?” she demands, her eyes lighting up as they did whenever she caught onto an idea,

You’re Klaus Mikaelson! Even chained up, you’re dangerous, so why not desiccate you?

There’s something scratching at the back of his mind, but Klaus fights it, too afraid to touch the idea,

“Because from time to time, he comes to speak to me,” he answers,

“And I think he likes to watch me suffer.”

Caroline shakes her head, “No, that can’t be it, because then he could just starve you until you were motionless but still able to talk, you’d be in even more pain. Why is he letting you move?

Klaus doesn’t immediately speak, he drops his eyes to his knees and chained hands, looking from his left to right,

“He needs me fed.” he notes, raising his face as she crouches down in front of him,

And what happens if you desiccate?” she asks excitedly,

To the point where you can only just move?

“The magic holding me here might think me dead and thus, release its hold on me,” He muses, a hint of the devil returning to his eyes and his lips as he raises his arms as high as they can go,

“You might be a figment of my maddened imagination, love,” he tells her,

“But wish me luck anyway.”

He slams his hands down on the ground, breaking his wrists and fingers until he can pull them through the manacles holding him in place, his feet undergoing the same treatment.

With only a thrill of fear, he moves to the very edge of his prison, hesitating until Caroline comes to stand beside him,

Hurry up.” she snaps and he nods, “Very well.”

He brings his wrist to his mouth and bites down, sinking his fangs into his flesh, tearing down to the elbow so as to increase the blood flow and reopening the wounds when his healing kicked in.

When his vision swims and spots dance before his eyes, he whispers a prayer, steps forward…

And falls to his knees.

Outside his prison cell.

The merest hint of a triumphant laugh brushes his lips as he starts crawling to freedom.

Caroline awoke with a ragged gasp, clenching the bed sheets under her.

She’s paralyzed again, unable to move and though this happened every time she woke up from that particular nightmare, she’s still terrified until she can twitch her toes and then shift her legs.

She recalls the nightmare, the Klaus of her imagination escaping his cell and wonders if- now that he was free- that she would go back to nights of dreamless sleep?

It had originally started out as sexual fantasies that had turned into that freaky imprisonment scenario that her self-help book told her was due to stressors that she was experiencing during the day, which made perfect sense.

One of those stressors being that she didn’t even know where Klaus was.

With a sigh of annoyance, she rolls over and punches the pillow, hoping she can fall back to sleep.

She does and is so tired that she sleeps past her alarm, so it’s nearly midday when she’s woken by the insistent knocking on her door.

If it’s Jehovah’s Witness, she’s going to live-feed today.

Growling and barely remembering to throw on her bathrobe, she stomps down the hall and pulls open the door, “Yes? What do you…oh.”

Klaus is standing on her front step, covered in dirt, dust, blood and most alarmingly, the same outfit he’d worn in every last one of her dreams.

He is swaying on his feet and looks exhausted, but he’s smiling as he sees the pink nightgown she’s wearing, “I always liked it when you wore that one.”

Kai gets hurt in a fight

Another fight went by. Another tough fight for what’s right and for safety for all the people in Mystic Falls and for your and all of your friends’ safety, but nost importantly, for Kai. He was the love of your life, your soulmate and you couldn’t imagine your life without him. You were a witch that helped him with his powers and vice versa. He was always there for you, when you were sad, he would cheer you up in a goofy way, but you loved it. He was the only one who could make you smile again after everything you’ve been through and maybe that’s why you trusted him so much.

Everyone wss celebrating and agreed to go to the Mystic Grill to celebrate with a couple of drinks and you couldn’t hide a huge smile from your face, because that seemed like a wonderful idea. You hugged Bonnie and chuckled, but you kept looking around, wanting to hug Kai and celebrate with him. Every second that passed and you couldn’t find him, a smile was fading away slowly.

‘Where’s Kai?’ You asked and kept looking around, Kai nowhere to be seen. Your breathing became shallow and faster, you heart beating so fast as if it was ready to jump out of your chest

'I’m sure he’s around somewhere. Maybe he’s already at the Grill waiting for us.’ Stefan said and chuckled, putting his arm around Caroline as they all walked towards the Grill. Maybe Stefan was right. Maybe Kai was already there and wanted to surprise you. Damon placed his arm around you, his hand hanging from your shoulder and something inside you told you to look behind. You removed Damon’s arm from your shoulder and turned around, your eyes finding someone laying on the street. Your heart stopped at the sight, as you were standing frozen. The only thing you could see was a black sillhouette but you immediately knew it was Kai.

'Kai!’ You screamed out as loud as you could and started running towards him, making everyone around you turn around and follow you. Once you came closer, he was covered in blood, a stake shoved deeply into his chest, a small pool of blood around him becoming bigger with each second.

'Kai! Kai’ you cried out his name, tears forming in your eyes as you placed your hands around the stake and put a pressure on it, trying to stop him from bleeding out even more. 'You’re going to be fine, ok? You’ll be just fine! You’re not going to die!’ Tears kept falling down your cheeks an onto the cold street, blood around Kai staining your jeans. Your hands were covered in his blood, but you refused to move or let go.

'I’m- I’m sorry.’ He stuttered and looked at you, his hand grabbing onto your hand tightly.

'Shh, don’t talk, ok?’ You muttered and looked at Kai, blood covering your hands, making you cry even more. You couldn’t stop the tears from falling down. You’ve never been that scared in your life and your biggest fear was losing Kai and seeing him like that made has awoken your biggest fear.

'I’m not going to make it. You need to know something.’ He whispered, his hand still placed on your arm, his grip a lot lighter than before. You closed your eyes for a few second and took a deep breath, trying to suppress your cryind and trying to be strong, but on the inside, you were falling spart.

'I can use my magic to heal you, I can do it, just let me-’

'Don’t do it. You have to let me go. We had a great time together, but I have to go.’ He showed you a weak smile and closed his eyes for a brief second, your crying becoming clearer to the sight.

'No, no! I won’t let you go. You can’t leave now, do you understand? You can’t leave me- I- I need you, Kai. You’re everything to me.’ You cried out and leaned down, your forehead pressed on his, your eyes closed as you felt his hot breath on your lips.

'He doesn’t have much time! Let me take him to the hospital with Damon where they can help him!’ Caroline ordered.

'We’ll see eachother again. You’ll be ok, I know that.’ You kissed his lips gently and stood up as Caroline and Damon ran quickly towards the hospital. You stood there frozen in one place, holding your hands out in front of your body. You looked down and saw them completely covered in Kai’ s blood, dripping down on the street.

'Hey, I know that he’ll be fine. He always makes it so you have nothing to worry abou, ok?’ Bonnie told you, standing in front of you, her hands firmly pressing your shoulders, but you didn’t hear a thing. You kept looking into one direction, thinking of Kai’s body laying helplessly on the cold street. 'Do you hear me? Hey!’ You finally snapped out of it and wiped your hands as much as you could on your already blood stained jeans, a single tear streaming down your face.

'We have to- we have to go! I- I have to go!’ You stated and started running towards the hospital, warm breeze gently caressing your cheeks, your hands now stained with a dried up blood. You ran into the hospital swiftly, walking fast and looking for Kai. You walked into a narrow, well lit up hallway and saw Damon pacing around it with his arms crossed and Caroline sitting on one of the chairs, leaned down, her hands covering her face.

'Damon!’ You said and ran towards him, his arms wrapping around you for a quicky hug.

'Where is he? Is he- Is he ok?’ You asked, your voice cracking on the last word.

'He’s in surgery now. We don’t know anything, except that he’s lost a lot of blood.’ Damon trailed off as you ran you fingers through your hair and took a deep breath, your heart still beating faster than usual.

'But, he’s going to make it, right? He has to, I-’ you swallowed hard, Damon’s arms wrapping around you as you sobbed into his chest, his hand caressing the back of your head gently.

'Of course he will. He’s strong and you know it. I just don’t understand why didn’t he want me to help him. I could’ve given him some of my blood and by now he would be healed.’ Damon muttered as you pulled away, wiping your tears with the back of your hand. You sighed deeply and sat down, your fingers running through your hair.

'You know how stubborn he is. He’s always like that and it’s driving me crazy.’ You trailed off and looked down at your feet.

'Good evening. Are you Malachai Parker’s family?’ You heard a male voice and lifted your head up, doctor standing in front of you. You quickly stood up and took a few steps closer.

'I’m his girlfriend. Is he alright?’ You asked, fear in your voice.

'He’s stable. He’s lost a lot of blood and if he was stabbed only a few more inches to the left, he would be dead, but we managed to save him. He needs a lot of rest and nurses will be monitoring him 24/7. He’s in good hands.’ Doctor stated, a touch of relief traveling through your body as you took a deep breath and sighed, a smile appearing on your face, knowing that Kai was ok.

'Can I- can I see him?’ You asked, your voice quiet and weak.

'You can but not for long. He-’

'Please. I need to see him. I need to see that he’s ok. Please.’

Doctor sighed and after a few moments he agreed to it and led you to the room Kai was in. You quietly walked in and closed the door behind you, a single light burning slightly in the room. As soon as you walked in, your eyes were glue to Kai, laying on that bed, with monitor beeping next to him. You placed a hand on your mouth, trying to suppress your crying as you sat down on the chair that was placed next to the bed, your hand placing gently on top of Kai’s. A single tear rolled down your cheek but you quickly wiped it away.

'Hey’ you whispered, your voice cracking. 'Just come back to me, ok? That’s everything I want.’ You leaned down and gave a gentle kiss on the back of his hand, your thumb gently caressing it.

You spent hours sitting next to him, watching his breathing and watching his heartbeat on the monitor.
Three days went by and you were still next to him. Damon, Caroline, Bonnie, all of them tried to persuade you to go home, get some rest, but you refused. You wanted to be next to him when he wakes up. You slept on the couch that was in the room, covering yourself with a small blanket that only covered half of your body, but you didn’t mind. As long as it meant that you were next to Kai, you were fine.

Your fingers were intertwined with his fingers as you ran your fingers through his hair and gently kissed his forehead when you felt a slight grip on your hand. You instantly looked down and then looked at Kai who was slowly opening his eyes. Your eyes went wide and a huge smile flashed across your face. You quickly ran out of the room and called the doctor to check on him. He was stable and he wasn’t in life danger anymore. Doctor informed you about everything and left you alone with him again as you couldn’t let his hand go.

'Hey.’ You said gently and sat on the chair next to his bed.

'Hey.’ He murmured.

'How are you feeling?’

'Like I was hit by a bus. Everything hurts.’ Kai whispered and showed you a weak smile that made your heart skip a beat. You couldn’t contain the happiness that was traveling through your body. Out of nowhere, a few tears rolled down your cheeks and fell down on the bed, Kai’s gaze locked on you.

'Hey, don’t cry. I’ll be alright.’ He said and caressed your hand with his thumb.

'I know, I’m just- happy to see those beautiful eyes of yours and your smile again. I thought I had lost you.’ you stuttered and wiped your tears away.

'You know I’ll always come back to you. Remember that. I wouldn’t leave you just like that.’

'Why didn’t you want Damon’s blood to heal you?’ You asked him, worry obvious on your face.

'Because I love when you take care of me.’ He winked at you, making you chuckle. Even in his state, he was still making jokes.

'You could have died.’

'But I didn’t. I’m still here and if it would make you feel better, I will let Damon feed me his blood so we can be crazy like before.’ He said jokingly as you playfully slapped his hand. He winced and muttered a quiet ’ow’ making your eyes wide.

'Omg I’m so sorry, I-’

'I’m kidding.’ He laughed lightly, but stopped because of the awful pain in his chest.

'You idiot. You scared the hell out of me.’

'I know, but you know I have to tease you a little bit.’

'I know.’

'Come here.’ He muttered as you stood up and leaned down, your faces only inches apart.

'I love you, you crazy idiot.’ You said and laughed.

'I love you too. Forever.’ You pressed your lips on his gently, feeling his lips again that you thought you would never feel again. You pulled away and then pecked his lips one more time before getting on the bed next to him and covering yourself with a blanket, placing your head on Kai’s shoulder carefully, your fingers intertwined with his.

Tension and fear in your body was gone and you felt relieved knowing that Kai wasn’t going anywhere and that he was going to be fine, because you were by his side, ready to help him through everything and anything.

“Why did I let you plan this again? We always get caught when you plan!”

Klaus did watch over her though. He found solace in standing under her window, listening in on the life she held behind closed doors. Often times, he would stand on the fire escape and watch that life play out. He didn’t know what it was about her. He never met a more fearless human that her. She didn’t treat him like a monster. Sure, it was probably because she hasn’t seen the worst part of him but there was just something about her that kept drawing him in.

She would often lounge around in a t shirt and panties, with messy bed hair and a mug of tea in her hand. Other times she would blast music and dance around her apartment, always making a small smile appear on his face. Everyday he learns something new. She’s a mystery that he needs to know more about.

An Episode I didn't Hate {TVD 8x13 Review}

You guys know the drill, I write everything in real time so if there’s something I got mistaken it will probably be made up for later on in the post. This will have anti-Damon, anti-Delena, anti-Steroline, anti-Bamon, anti-Bonenzo sentiments and may include mentions of misogynoir and other TV shows. If you do not like, you do not have to read. This was done on my phone so bear with me. You ready? OK. Let’s go.

1. Y’all are so mean. I titled my last review 8x13 review and tonight’s episode was the 13th episode and none of you told me. Petty.

2. The show was smart starting with Kai because I have such a huge ass grin on my face. I swear only Kai could make getting out of hell comedic. “No no, two beers, three burgers” I mean, does the show know that I have a thing for burgers? Like I literally go around my city trying to find the best cheeseburgers and that little tidbit is something I always put on dating profiles if I choose to go on tinder or something so like I’m not saying me and Kai belong together, I’m just saying there are certain compatibilities.

3. Also Matt’s hair in that bell scene was stupid af.

4. Those rings on Kai’s fingers though … omg I missed him.

5. I mean I would freak out if I couldn’t taste food either and probably kill the waiter too. But this just reminds me of The Black Pearl.

6. Alaric is actually pretty calm coming face to face with his fiancee’s murderer.

7. “I think I’m on the waitlist to heaven but they’re not returning my calls” aww, something funny for once.

8. I don’t know why Caroline couldn’t say this to Bonnie face to face? Like why does no one just GO to her. Leave a fucking casserole or basket of muffins on the doorstep, a letter, something.

9. So when a vampire turns human then their compulsion wears off of their victims? I mean I guess.

10. I don’t understand how Bonnie opened a door to hell but she has no magic.

11. OMG. Bonnie on the phone with Damon and Kai in the backseat mouthing “Let me say ‘hi’, let me say ‘hi’!” YAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I mean obviously it’s fanbaiting but I don’t give a shit, that was hilarious and adorable and so very Kai.

12. AND he drew a heart on a fogged up window. If I had access to gifs right now, tho.

13. But seriously, Damon legitimately called Bonnie because he needed something from her. Honestly, that’s like 80% of their relationship. And if I felt like he was lying about Kai so as to not worry her and let her grieve then I’d be like I guess but this just Damon being Damon.

14. Bonnie sensing Kai is awesome.

15. I like how we focus on the fallout of Stefan’s victims but with Damon, we focus on him being Damon and everything Dorian tells Stefan is fair but Damon never gets anyone to tell him that. Whatever.

16. “Better question, why are you still following him?” “DAMON!” LOL, this episode is ACTUALLY funny at times. Who wrote this? “Oh good, you roped Bonnie into this, I was HOPING you would maximize the collateral damage.”

17. I find it ironic that Damon is going after a sexual predator.

18. New to the gift? WHAT?

19. So Bonnie is learning from the devil.

20. Gorgeous close-up of Kat.

21. I just don’t believe BE enough for it to warrant her learning from the devil on how to contact him. Also please note every time I say devil it’s in quotations.

22. Cade is such a petty devil. It’s one soul. You have no other workers?

23. Why can’t Caroline compel Dorian to leave, call an ambulance and get them to where he is?

24. Oh look, it happened.

25. Good.

26. I feel like I should be moved by that SC scene. I mean I guess.

27. Seriously Chris looks really hot.

28. “I hate this already.” Lol Kai.

29. Damon your forgiveness means shit, get the fuck out of here.

30. Lol I love Stefan but this whole Dorian can either lock Stefan up in prison or work on building a better future aren’t mutually exclusive. He can do both.

31. Why are they acting like Caroline hasn’t killed a whole bunch of people? She killed 12 people ina single episode.

32. I actually liked the SC scene in the hospital because Candice actually showed emotion. They’ve become DE where I only believe them when they’re confronting the issues in their relationship.

33. I really can’t get into Bonenzo, like I can’t, I want to feel for them in this scene with the candles and the kissing and the reunion but it’s SO muted.

34. “I missed you girls so much” did you though?

35. That Calaric stare has so much chemistry compared to Steroline.

36. LOL this twin was literally going to set her sister on fire for hurting Caroline. Is it wrong that I find it hilarious?

37. I love it when Damon gets tricked because he always thinks he’s got the upper hand and he NEVER DOES.

This was literally the best episode in two seasons. Because of Kai. And the writers clearly like writing for him because there were actual funny moments this episode and there was energy and a pace and things were more cohesive although the mythology around Bonnie and Cade still doesn’t make sense to me, I think that Stefan’s punishment and his inability to figure out who he is and what to do and meeting his ghosts and pasts was well done but it’s still irksome that Damon never really has to face any of that and Damon’s “let’s get Elena back” is like, I guess, sure, it’s only entertaining because it involves Kai.

Beauty and the Mets Fan [*smut]

A/N: Okay, now keep in mind this is only my secondish smut. I had a dream about this the other night, minus the smut part. I just thought it could use some spice.

“I can’t believe you got us Mets tickets!” I squealed as me and my best friend looked for our seats. “Only the best for my best friend!” She beamed. Our seat where between the edge of the screen and the dugout on the first base side. We were about four rows up, and two seats away from the end seats. The best seats you could possibly get in my opinion. We found them, slid into our seat and got comfortable. The music was loud and seem to come from every direction. There were so many people filling the stands, and I knew the game was about to start.

“Hey, Dyl! Our seats are right here.” A tall boy with black hair yelled. He was wearing a black tank top, and camouflage shorts. When he turn his head, I saw he had a slightly obscured jawline. Although he was very good looking he wasn’t my type.

“He’s cute.” My best friend half whispered half sang in my ear. I smiled

“Well you have about nine innings to ask for his number.” I whispered back. We both giggled.

“Good job, bud.” A boy wearing a Mets hat said. He was carrying two beers and slid into one of the two remaining seat first, handing the dark haired boy a beer. The commentator started with opening ceremonies. His voice boomed through the stadium. The smell of hotdogs and beer filling the air. They started announcing some of the star players, and almost as if it were planned, the guy next to me in the mets hat and I both screamed our heads off. We looked at each other and laugh.

“You a David Wright fan too?” I asked him almost yelling over the announcer.

“Hell yeah!” He shouted back. He turned towards me a little more and extended his hand to me.

“Dylan!” I finally got a good look at him. His skin was even, despite the various beauty marks on his face. His smile was genuine and warm. But it was his eyes that I was taken by. They weren’t hazel or brown even but mixture of the two. Amber almost.

“And this is my buddy Tyler.” His voice brought me back, and I smiled. His friend lean forward and lazily waved at me.

“I’m Y/N. This is my best friend Caroline.” I said jabbing my thumb in her direction. She copied Tyler, leaning forward and waving.

“You guys big Mets fans?” Tyler yelled, Although he wasn’t looking at me when he asked. Caroline shook her head,

“Not really. Well I mean I don’t really watch baseball.”

“Get out!” Dylan said jokingly. “There’s only mets fans in the section.” I laughed nudging my friend who seemed upset by the comment.

“Well I’ll have to leave too then.” Tyler said earning a smile from Caroline.

“Woah T.Pose! Give the girl a chance.” Dylan said putting a hand on his shoulder.

“What about you?” Dylan ask me with a smirk on his face.

“Die hard Mets fan.“ I said proudly.

“Yeah, she practically cried when I told we were coming today.” Caroline teased.

“I think we found your perfect girl, Dyl.” Tyler said. I blushed and laughed awkwardly.

The game was starting and Dylan and I watched intently. Tyler and Caroline, on the other hand, wouldn’t shut up. So half way though the 7th inning Dylan and Caroline switch seats. Dylan and I’s conversation was strictly baseball, and honestly I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It came down to the wire in the game. It was the 9th inning and the Mets were bating. Bases were loaded and it was down to three balls and two strikes. Mets were down two, so they needed to hit the ball and far. Wright was at the plate, and he was uncharacteristically off his game. The crowd was chanting a medley of boos and cheers. “Come on David! You got this!” I stood and yelled. Dylan followed suit. “Let’s goooo!” He shouted. The pitcher threw the ball, and out of excitement I grabbed Dylan’s arm. Wright sung and hit the ball, I watched it as it flew way above the pitcher, over second base, and into the stands.

“Mets win.” The announcer sang. Dylan and I jumped up and down screaming. I pulled him into a hug, which he returned. He smelled good. Like really good. We pulled apart slowly, staring at each other.

The excitement of the game started to die down, and people were leaving the stadiums. Caroline and I started gathering our things.

“Hey, we’re going to get some drinks. You guys want to come?” Tyler asked. Him and Dylan were on the staircase that ascends to the exit. I looked at Caroline, we smiled at each other and nodded.

We walked from the stadium to a pub about 8 blocks away. It was an old timey pub, like you’d see in old British movies. Dylan open the door for all of us.

“We’ll get some beers, if you guys want to grab a booth.” Dylan suggested once we were inside. I nodded and Caroline and I found an open booth next to a window. The booths were round so they’d all have to squeeze in together. The boys returned beers in hand.

“Here you go, beautiful.” Tyler said handing Caroline a beer and sitting next to her. Dylan rolled his eyes before sitting down next to me with our beers.

Three beers and four shots later, we were all pretty drunk. Tyler and Caroline where making out on the jukebox, leaving Dylan and I alone.

“So, I made her a YouTube video asking her to prom.” We both roared with laughter.

“You did not!”

“I did.” He said amused.

“What did she say?”

“She laughed in my face. But I got to make out with Julia Pond that night so who’s laughing now.”

“Was she popular?” I asked drinking my beer.

“No, she was my lab partner.” We both laughed again. I placed my hand high on his thigh and bit my lip. He shifted in his seat. I looked over at Caroline to make sure she was alright. I almost wished I hadn’t.

“Ugh, they may as well just fuck on the damn thing.” I said grimacing.

“Where’s the craziest place you’ve had sex?” He asked scooting closer to me. I could almost feel his body heat. But I didn’t have a good answer. “The floor?” I admitted.

Dylan laughed. “Was that a question?”

“What about you?” I shot back playfully.

“You wouldn’t believe if I told you.” He said a little cocky. I gave him a doubtful look.

He leaned over and whispered in my ear. The action sending a shiver down my spine. “On a roller coaster.”

My eyes widened. “You’re lying.”

“Told you you wouldn’t believe me.”

“How is that even possible?”

He just shrugged. I scoffed at him drinking the last bit of my beer.

“I’m going to get more. Want some?” He raised his glass and winked at me, indicating he still had some left. He knew he was teasing me and I needed to even the playing field. So I leaned over and caressed his earlobe with my tongue.

“Be right back.” I purred. His grip on his cup tightened so hard his fingers turned white. I grabbed my glass and scooted out of the booth. At the bar, I raised my hand to signal the bartender. Someone grabbed my arm and pulled it down. I glanced over and saw Dylan holding my arm. He had a gorgeous smile on his face, and a lust in his eyes.

“Come with me?” He slid his hand from my arm to my hand interlocking our fingers. I nodded and he led the way to the bathrooms. He pulled open the door to the one person bathroom. He pushed me into the wall, a grasp escaping me. Dylan pressed his lips against mine and made his way to my ass squeezing it firmly. His bulge grinding against my pulsating sex. I thought about our friends still in pub for a second, but I knew they were probably as busy as we were. He went for my neck peppering it with kisses. I moaned pulling at his hair with my fingers. I could feel him sucking along my neck and jawline creating hickeys. I rolled my hips on to his and he groaned into my neck. Goosebumps formed on my skin at the sound. I moved my hands down to his jeans unbuttoning them. I put my hand down his pants, grabbing his dick. He moaned and pulled me into a heated kiss as I pumped his erection a few times.

“Fuck.” He growled in my mouth, and stuck my tongue in his mouth. I could feel his hand unbuttoning my jean shorts and my core tingled. He hooked his fingers around the side of my shorts and panties and pulled them both down in one go. His fingers found my slit and then to my clit rubbing the bunch of nerves in a figure 8 motion. I was a moaning mess at his touch, my legs shaking. With his other hand he pulled my hand away from him, but continued rubbing with the other.

“Turn around.” He rasped breaking our kiss. I turned and faced the wall, his right hand still on my sex and with his left I heard pushed his pants down. I heard his erection slap against his stomach. He stroked it a few times, before stopping and pulling my hands up on the wall. Holding them up with one hand. He ground his stiff member between my legs.

“Fuck, you’re already wet.” He groaned in my ear.

“Please?” I begged, wanting him inside me. “Fuck me.” I pushed out my butt against his hips, earning a low growl from him.

“As you wish, princess.” He lined up, and slowly inserted himself inside of me. We both spewed profanities at the sensation. He grabbed my hip with his free hand and began moving.

“F-faster.” I stuttered. Instead, he slowed down moving in and out of me.

“What was that princess?” He teased. I tried pushing against him to speed up the friction. He grabbed my waist sternly.

“I’m sorry, princess. I didn’t hear you. What did you want?” He asked again.

“Dylan, please? Faster.” I whined.

“Of course, princess.” He pushed himself into me hard and than fast. Quickening his speed as he pounded into me. The sound of skin on skin and moans echoed in the bathroom. He was hitting my g-spot and I knew my orgasm was near.

“I'm…I’m gon-” I tried to say.

“Come princess.” He interpreted. At the words, I clenched around him, my legs shaking, and moaning uncomfortably finally reaching my orgasm.

“You’re so sexy.” He muttered. “Get on your knees.” He released my hands from the wall and pulled out. I spun around and sunk to my knees. I hollowed my checks around him, taking almost all of his length. I could feel him in the back of my throat. He put my hair up in a makeshift ponytail, and he moved me along his member looking at me the entire time. He moved me up and down faster and faster until finally he exploded inside my mouth. He rode out his orgasm in my mouth grunting and growling. I swallowed all of him, and he smiled. I pulled him out of my mouth. Our heavy breathing the only sound filling the room. I stood my legs still a little weak, and pulled up my shorts.

“I’m not going to lie,” he said copying my action. “That’s probably the best sex I’ve ever had.”

I laughed. “You probably say that to all the pretty girls you pick up at Mets games.” He walked closer to me putting his hands on my face.

“You’re not pretty, you’re gorgeous.” He kissed my lips softly. “And there may be plenty of pretty Mets fans. But none as gorgeous as you.” I laughed pushing him away softly.

“Okay cheese ball, walk me to my car?” I asked. He grinned and nodded.

Random Snippet #22: Dancing On the Line

Found this sitting in my WIP folder, from the last AU Week. I don’t remember why I didn’t finish it then, but here you go! (The timeline is probably all kinds of wonky, but whatever.) Set shortly after the night Caroline almost dies from Klaus’ biting her.

A strange bit of hurt/comfort. Casual mentions of murder.

Caroline ran.

Her sleepy Saturday morning had erupted with blood and her mother’s screams. Liz’ shouting hadn’t been of pain, but warning, and Caroline had done as her mother had ordered. Her right side was on fire, and her bare feet protested sharply at each quick impact, but she kept going.

It’d been a concern, once they’d started to think through their grief that Bill hadn’t kept it quiet that his daughter had been turned. Liz had sat her down with grim eyes, warned Caroline softly that some of her father’s friends would never see her as anything but a monster.

“You saw Steven’s face.”

Caroline swallowed and nodded, spoon moving listlessly through her rapidly congealing cereal. “Yeah. I did.”

Liz looked away for a long moment. “I told Steven it wasn’t your doing, but I don’t know how convinced he was that you are safe. Odds are, he’ll hold his tongue, but I don’t know if Bill was quiet about why he was visiting.”

“He was helping Tyler to gain control over his change,” Caroline said tonelessly.

“Sounds about right,” Liz said wearily. “You’re father was obsessed with control. I need you to promise me, honey, that if I ever tell you to run, you go. No questions asked, no argument. You run.”

Wary, Caroline looked at her mother. “Mom…”

Blue eyes steely, Liz sipped her coffee. “These people that your father ran with, they aren’t the reasonable sort. They won’t hurt me, but they’d stake you without thought. You run, Caroline, when I tell you too.”

Out her window and over the fence, the sudden white-hot pain in her side followed by an explosion of sound told her she’d been lucky to escape. They’d flanked the house, had expected Liz to warn her.

Dodging around a tree, she screamed in surprise and pain as she slammed into something solid. They both should have gone down with the impact, but a solid arm wrapped around her hips, and she sucked in a breath as her nose brushed against warm skin.

Klaus.

“One Hell of a Lucky Guy”

Steroline (sort of?) AU future fic - prompt what if Caroline meet one of Stefan’s doppelgangers in the future.

Chapter 1

Caroline sat at her desk mired in paperwork for the Salvatore Boarding School’s upcoming enrollment. By the looks of things next semester would have around a dozen new students up almost fifty percent from five years ago. It had been thirty years since she opened the school and overall it had been quite the success, the student body sat at around one hundred students ranging from ages five to seventeen all living on campus.

Back to You

Super belated prompt request I received forever and a year ago. Inspiration came and went, but here it is. Finally!

“Caroline, come on!”

She hears them calling her name but in that moment, she’s too entranced by the dancer on the television to look away. Her eyes eagerly take in the lithe and graceful movements of the young woman as she spins around, her beautiful skirt flowing around her in a way she aims to imitate whenever she’s at her own dance class when she envisions herself older and up on that stage looking as beautiful and graceful as the dancer on the screen.

She hears a bike break behind her but she doesn’t turn. It’s probably one of her friends getting impatient.

“That’s going to be me one day,” the blonde bubbly six year-old breathes out excitedly when the dancer bows after finishing her number.

The response that follows her comment has her snapping her head around in surprise and she’s met by dimples and blue eyes that echo his words.

“Again from the top. Caroline, you need to watch your timing. You almost came in late there. Pay more attention, hm?”

She apologizes with a sheepish smile and absentmindedly pushes back some of the hair that had come undone from her bun as she went to resume her place.

“You okay?” she hears her partner ask quietly as he moves to take his place too.

She turns to find him regarding her almost curiously.

“Yeah,” she smiles. “I’m fine.”

She can tell he doesn’t quite believe her but thankfully they get started again, putting an end to that conversation as soon he’s moving along with the other dancers while she stands back and waits for her cue.

As she stands there, watching the other dancers moving so beautifully and gracefully, it’s hard for her not to be reminded of the dancer on the screen and his words from that day that had somehow remained with her throughout the years.

“That’s going to be me one day.”

“I know.”

The emotional trigger

Request - Can you make an imagine where the reader (female) is a vampire and turns off her humanity and everyone tries to get her to turn it back on and trigger it but only Rebekah is her emotional trigger? Make it as emotional, and angst as possible! :) thanks

Word count - 1668

Y/N and Rebekah had been together for 100 years, although the time that they spent together didn’t add up even close to that. This is because Klaus, Rebekah’s brother, daggered up a few times while they were together. Each time that this happened, Y/N desiccated herself as she couldn’t live her life without Rebekah. This is until Rebekah died.

Ever since they all moved to Mystic Falls after one of the longest times that Rebekah had been daggered and Rebekah had woken Y/N, she knew of the Mikaelsons were going to die. She just had a bad feeling. This feeling increased when the Salvatores had found some remaining white oak and turned them into the weapons that finally killed Rebekah.

Since Y/N wasn’t turned using Rebekah’s blood, she didn’t die when Rebekah perished. This made it so much worse for Y/N. Thinking that if only she had took Rebekah’s blood instead of Elijah’s when she was dying in her arms, drove her crazy. Since Finn died a few days before, they knew that their vampire bloodline died along with them.

The day after Rebekah died, all Y/N did was lay in their shared bed, letting all the memories that they had together flush through her mind. Their most recent one, hurting her the most.

Y/N had just got back to the apartment that her and Rebekah had shared ever since they moved to Mystic Falls. Since everywhere they went, they lived with the other Mikaelsons and they thought they deserved something different this time.

Once she walked into their bedroom, she caught Rebekah pacing back and fourth across the room. Y/N knew she only did something like this when something was wrong, terribly wrong.

“Rebekah, love, what’s wrong?” Y/N questionned.

They have more White Oak Y/N. They have a weapon that could kill me or my family.” Rebekah whimpered towards Y/N. She sat down on their bed and gestured for Y/N to join her. “I’m scared Y/N. What if i die and you have to live without me? Or what if Elijah dies and i have to live without you. I can’t do that. We need to burn those stakes so i don’t lose any more family and we don’t lose each other.”

For the rest of the night, Y/N and Rebekah cuddled on their bed, watching the stars through their large window, eventually falling asleep in each others arms.

Y/N didn’t even realise she had been crying until she felt a puddle underneath her cheeks from where the tears had been soaking her pillow. She knew there was only one thing that would erase this pain that she was constantly feeling. Closing her eyes, she flicked the switch in the back of her mind that would erase all the emotions that was overwhelming her.

A few months later, Y/N had killed her way through many different towns, always covering her tracks as she didn’t want any of the remaining Mikaelsons to come chase her down and try to convince her to release all the emotions that she was repressing.

For the first time since she turned off those emotions, Y/N’s phone rang while she was dumping a lifeless body into a dumpster. It was Klaus. Immediately, she declined knowing it would make the Hybrid angry. Moments later, he text her.

‘Rebekah is back’ The text read. Of course Y/N knew it was a lie, she was dead. She watched Rebekah burn and perish in their bedroom.

Y/N woke up to arguing through her apartment. It was obvious that it was coming from the front door as no one else had been invited in, apart from Rebekah. Not even Klaus or any other Mikaelsons. They had ensured that no one else could enter their home by finding a random human in the town and compelling them to be the owner of their apartment.

Standing and stretching out of bed, Y/N started to make out the voices that the arguing was coming from; Rebekah and Stefan Salvatore. She had no idea why he would be here so early in the morning so she went to investigate.

She grabbed a blood bag out of the mini fridge next to the bed and started walking to the front door. What she saw made her drop her blood bag on the floor. Stefan was standing inside their home, with one of the many white oak stakes that they had made and the woman they compelled to be the owner of their home, dead on the floor. Damon then appeared from behind Stefan and suddenly shot a vervain dart into Rebekah, causing her to collapse on the floor. Y/N ran with all the speed she could and snapped both Damon and Stefan’s necks, causing them to collapse alongside Rebekah.

Y/N then picked Rebekah up and carried her to their bed. After waiting  while for her to wake up, she finally opened her eyes.

“That must of been a strong-ass dose of vervain” She chuckled.Y/N hugged and kissed Rebekah like it was their first kiss

In that moment, Stefan and Damon had awoken and was angry. They swooshed into bedroom and plunged the stake into Rebekah;s chest, causing her to release from the kiss and slowly burn to death.

If Y/N hadn’t turned off her emotions, there would be a puddle underneath her but this memory didn’t phase her, and she liked it.

A few days later and Y/N had 53 missed calls of all the Mikaelsons. She decided enough was enough and she’s call into New Orleans, where she learnt they had moved to from the many voicemail’s that Elijah left. As she was choosing which car to break into and steal, her phone started ringing again. It was Kol. She rolled her eyes, they never really got on so she knew it was getting too far if he was calling her. For fun, she decided to answer it to save her the trouble to drive over 200 miles just for their plan that wouldn’t work.

“Kol. I know Rebekah isn’t back so stop trying to talk to me. Tell everyone else the same thing. I watched her burn, there is no way she is still alive and i know that none of you are any good terms with any witches so they couldn’t and wouldn’t help you. I don’t care about any of you anymore so just delete my number and forgot you ever knew me” Y/N sighed with boredom.

“Y/N? Wow, when Nick told me you were a different person, i didn’t expect it to be true” Y/N couldn’t believe it. On the other end of the phone was Rebekah. “From the silence coming from you, i’m guessing you’re wondering how I’m talking to you. Well we have another sister, who’s still a witch. She did a spell with my ashes and my brother’s blood and here i am. I’m also going to find you, no matter how far away you are or how hard you try to find, I’m going to find you. Klaus is back visiting Mystic Falls and promised me he will pick up some of your belongings so Freya could do a locater spell. I will be with you soon my love.”

Then the phone call ended. Y/N didn’t know what to do, carry on running or stop where she is and wait for Rebekah. She also didn’t know what to do when she could feel some emotions coming back. All she kept thinking about was what if Rebekah died again, how she would feel.

She decided to stay where she was but she pushed the emotions that was sneaking their way back, away.

A few days later and Rebekah pulled up outside the building that Freya found Y/N at. She ran out of her car as fast as she could. All she thought about since Freya raised her from the dead was Y/N’s face, her smile.

All those months were hell for Rebekah. She had no one on the other side. Even though they didn’t like each other much, she was hoping to see Finn but she had no such luck. The only thing that got her through it was thinking that her family was going to bring her back, Y/N was going to bring her back.

She knocked om the door, waiting for a few minutes before finally hearing some movement in the room on the other side of the door. Y/N was reluctant to move as she knew in the bottom of her heart that all her emotions would come flooding through her mind the second she saw Rebekah’s face again. This scared her as she knew that she wouldn’t be able to concentrate on the fact that her amazing girlfriend would be standing in front of her as all the guilt would be rushing through her mind. Although she also knew that Rebekah would help her deal with all of it.

After a few minutes of deciding what to do, she finally started walking to the door. Each step caused her heart to beat a little faster, the same with Rebekah as she was listening through the door.

Once the door opened, neither of them moved for a while. This is not how Rebekah imagined seeing her, to her she looked different. Maybe it was the time away from her or maybe it was because Y/N was right. The second she was Rebekah, her emotions came rushing back and she was overcome with guilt. She had killed so many innocent people; brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, friends. It was overwhelming her and eventually caused her to collapse. From the joy of seeing her previously dead girlfriend to the shame from all her killings, it was too much for her.

Rebekah then picked her up, and placed her in the car. As she drove back to New Orleans, she couldn’t help but stare at her beautiful girlfriend every chance she got. In that moment, she felt so lucky to be alive again.

In XIX Russia, Klaus sees a certain blonde ballerina on stage and is enraptured from the start.

In other words, the three times Klaus has seen Caroline dance - a story told in 3 acts.

Features Fae!Caroline (if you couldn’t already tell that I’m obsessed with all things acomaf xD ).

P.S. In “Swan Lake”, Odette and Odile (Black Swan) are usually danced by the same ballerina. But for plot/characterization reasons, this is not the case in this drabble at some points.

1879, Russian Empire, Zheleznodorozhny

The first time he sees her, she’s Odette.

The production is nothing like the one he’s seen Moscow - not necessarily as bad thing given how poorly executed it was. The stage is too small and the town’s folk might be causing too much of a ruckus, more interested in watching lithe, tightly-clad bodies than appreciating the finery of movements but there’s something about this performance that calls to Klaus.

Perhaps letting Rebekah talk him into coming here tonight wasn’t such a bad idea.

They’ve been living in Russia for months now and although Klaus has remained cautious, it really seems that Mikael’s lost track of them.

They were residing in the Ottoman Empire when conflict with the Tsar broke and he and his siblings decided it was the best time to move on. Planning on losing Mikael in the chaos of war and the vast lasts of Russian Empire, they’d settled in Moscow, then set out to travel further when Klaus’ paranoia kicked in and he decided staying in one place for too long was too risky a move.

Zheleznodorozhny seems like the perfect hiding place - at least for now. It’s a small town but the traffic is reasonably high with the newly built railway station which makes it far easier to blend in.

It’s even attracted a wandering ballet troupe.

Elijah scrunched his face in distaste at Bekah’s suggestion to go and see them dance, revolted at the idea of watching a performance that would most likely turn out to be subpar at best. Kol was resting in his coffin with a dagger in his heart - yet again - having caused quite a scandal after seducing a daughter of the British ambassador in Moscow.

And then seducing her father.

The carnage that followed didn’t help them with keeping low profile either.

“That chassé was painful to watch.” Rebekah leans over, her whisper resounding in his ear as they sit near the stage, watching act II unfold.

“Still bitter over your grand ballet fiasco, sister?” Klaus quips in response, then proceeds to ignore everything but the lithe blonde who’s the only one making this performance bearable.

Sweet Caroline

Request: Hi. Can you do one with modern!kylo based off the song sweet Caroline by Neil diamond please?

AN: This was such a good idea, I hope you like it!! Sorry it took me so long to post though!

Word Count: 1K

Where it began, I can’t begin to know when.

It was really like the world had stopped when Kylo had laid eyes on you for the first time. You were like a shining light in his dark world, especially the way you smiled. He couldn’t help himself, he was smitten from the first glance. It was outside a coffee shop he was trying with his friend, Hux, who felt very unlucky to be sitting next to Kylo at that point.

“Ren!” Hux yelled from beside him, causing Kylo to look at Hux with a look of confusion on his face. Hux had a smirk plastered on his face.

“If you like her, why not talk to her?”

At Hux’s question Kylo’s face dropped and his brows furrowed. As if it was that easy. Kylo let out a sigh before turning back to where you had been, only to catch you staring at him this time. When you realized you’d been caught, you whipped your head forward, heat rising to your cheeks as a blush painted your face before grabbing your coffee and heading out with your friend. Kylo found himself smirking this time.

That would not be the last day you saw Kylo either. In fact, he made a point after that to frequent that same coffee shop, much to Hux’s annoyance. After a while, Hux refused to come with him, and he practically forced Phasma to go in his place. Upon seeing Kylo watch you, a blank expression on his face- which was better than the usual brooding face he had- she decided that Hux was right, and enough was enough. With a heavy sigh, she stood up and walked over to the table you were sitting at, causing Kylo to sit up in panic.

“Hey, sorry to interrupt you,” she said, placing a hand on her hip as she smiled warmly at you, causing you to furrow your brows in confusion. “My friend over there, dark hair, dark eyes, really tall, think’s you’re cute, and I think you’d find you like him if you have a pleasant conversation. Thanks!” After that, she walked away, leaving you blushing furiously. You looked over to Poe, who was wearing a Cheshire grin on his face.

“Told ya,” he said, causing you to look away and in Kylo’s direction. He was staring incredulously at Phasma as she gathered her things and gave him a wink before exiting the coffee shop. He then turned towards you and saw you watching him. His eyes widened as he caught you, and then he gave his best attempt at a smile. Looking back at Poe, who nodded, you started picking up your things before heading over to the same table as Kylo. Sitting yourself next to him, you smiled warmly at him, a light blush still dusting your cheeks.

“Hey.”

Who’d believe you’d come along?

From there, it was almost as if the two of you had known each other your entire lives. For Kylo especially, the affection you gave him made him feel almost like a completely different person. You understood him like no one ever had, like no one had ever tried to, and that made him feel so alive. You were the good he’d been hoping for his entire life. The breeze blew the long grass softly, creating a soft shuffling sound. It was so calming, the sun shining down on the two of you, the light fall breeze, and the changing colors of the leaves on the trees adjacent to the field. It almost seemed too good to be real.

“Hey, (y/n),” he said one day as the two of you sat on one of the blankets from your apartment, looking at the empty field ahead of you. This was yours and Kylo’s favorite place to have dates. It was a private place where he didn’t feel any pressure to express his emotion. It was also one of your favorite places because of that.

“Yeah?” You asked, looking up at him as you took his hand in yours. He grasped your hand back and squeezed lightly.

“Will you…will you move in with me?”

You stared up at him in disbelief. You knew this was a major step for him, he’d never shared anything with someone he’d ever cared about before. Smiling widely, you reached up and placed a soft kiss on his cheek before turning back around and lying against him.

“Of course I will,” you said.

Good times never seem so good. Oh I’ve been inclined to believe it never would.

The night was young, and the two of you were sitting together on the balcony of your shared apartment. It had been a few years since he first asked you to move in, but it almost felt as if nothing had changed. You had your head laid on Kylo’s shoulder as the two of you watched the stars together, the warm summer night so relaxing that you felt yourself dozing off. This was the perfect life you only could’ve dreamed of before you met Kylo.

“(Y/n),” Kylo said, breaking the silence between the two of you. He had your hand engulfed in his own, his thumb rubbing across the top.

“What is it, Kylo?” you said with a yawn, scooting closer towards him.

“I know I never really get emotional…but we’ve been together for so long…and I’ve never had someone love me the way you do,” he said softly, lying his cheek on top of your head. You smiled warmly, nodding your head in response. Over the years, he’d become more open with you, and you knew you were the person he trusted the most.

“You make the nights seem so full when they used to be so lonely… I want…I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” he said, causing you to look up at him, your energy suddenly returning to you. Was he…?

“I don’t have a ring yet or anything, but I just…can’t wait anymore. It doesn’t have to be small if you don’t want it to be-“

“Yes, Kylo. Yes, I’ll marry you,” you said, cutting him off, feeling tears prick at your eyes as you pulled him into an embrace. He let out a shaky sigh and hugged you back, pressing a kiss against your cheek. It felt so good to hold you in his arms, it always had.

How can I hurt when holding you?
