help me get printed

Quick PSA

I am not selling my art anywhere except society6 (currently) && I have not given anyone permission to sell/reproduce/distribute my art.

So basically aside from the few (like, 6 pcs lol – and that’s just because people wanted me to put them up for sale) prints up on my society6, I make no money off of my art as I only make them purely for my (and the fandom’s) enjoyment.

If you see anyone selling my art, please do not buy from them as they most likely stole it from me and are unfairly making money off of it. Also I would appreciate it if you report them to the proper personnel (if it is at a con or something) or tell me (if you saw it online).

IDK what to feel about this because I’ve been getting a lot of reports about this happening lately so aaaah ;;; I don’t want to upload smaller res art because I want people to be able to look at them properly so I think I should just make the watermarks more visible? I don’t knowww hahaha omg this is all new to me

Hey everyone!

SOoOOO for a long time now I’ve wanted to make a reproduction of my sketch books as I’ve been a collector of other peoples sketch books for a long time and they’ve forever been a source of inspiration and learning for me as a artist.

The time has finally come, I’ve dragged myself into gear and finally put one together. In the next few days I will have a Kickstarter page go LIVE! You can donate any amount to help me reach my goal of $300 to get the books printed. For the time the Kickstarter will also be the only way to secure your very own copy of the sketch book.

The book is filled with sketches of ladies from a wide range of media who have all inspired me in different ways. There might be sketches and finished pieces you’ve seen before but there is also an abundance of things you won’t have seen all complied into an A5 book with a real sketch book feel.

Stay tuned! Hopefully you can help me out! :)

Hello! I'm sorry, i think someone might have mentioned this before but are you going to publish Watercast as a hardcopy book? So excited for when you do! Love your writing so much <3

Assuming you’re talking about the fanfic version, I may do it if someone in the USA is willing to help me with distribution because it’s way too expensive to get it printed, all shipped to Australia and then for me to ship them back out again. I think “media mail” in USA is like $2.50 or something?

but yeah, unless something like that can be arranged it’ll be too expensive for anyone to buy a copy lmao. otherwise yeah i want to like. do a watercast zine with all the art too but obviously non profit (or donate everything to ocean conservation / save dolphin charity haha)

Selling off the rest of my Spring 2017 prints before I cycle into my newer work. These are all printed on high-quality cardstock and I will not be reprinting most of these designs. Letting the tumblr fam know first before I open it up to anyone else.

$7 each aside from the Lined Bear (lower right), Fish (3rd) and Fitz Roy (1st and 5th) which will go at $10.

Lmk if you’re at all interested in snagging some & please reblog (w/ credit) if ya wanna help me get some exposure. :)

Okay. So. @ipaintjily has really inspired me with their digital painting. Like I look at them everyday, hours at a time, trying to figure out how I can do what they do. It’s a bit obsessive. Kinda creepy. But I don’t even care. Their work is stunning and I have to learn how to paint because of it. It’s an itch I can’t scratch. So. The last few weeks I’ve been watching and taking in all the digital painting videos and advice I could get my grubby hands on.

Every. Single. Video. Said the same thing. DO NOT FOCUS ON DETAIL.

Like. For whatever reason I could not grasp the “no detail” concept and my perfectionist, virgo ass was like “Oh yeah. I can skip that advice that every single video I’ve watched has given me.”

Exhibit A.

I spent nearly two hours on this monstrosity. Like. It looks nothing like the ref. Which I provided above. And stole from Ipaintjily’s pinterest which is full of amazing refs you can find here. I don’t know what I was thinking. That’s a lie. I was thinking that if I add more detail the better it would look! Logic.

Then I finally accepted that detail was NOT working. So I was like. Well, damn. Maybe no detail will work. Imagine that. I was super skeptic. But I zoomed out till it was a thumbnail size then just blocked in colors and shapes. Then suddenly there was a face? And values? And it was kind of working??????

Exhibit B.

30 minutes guys. Like. What? It’s still awful. But compared to the other??These were done the same day. One right after the other.

So. Moral of the story: Detail = Bad

also. how does anyone draw without lines?!

Oh man it’s been awhile >_> things have been pretty blech but I won’t go into detail BECAUSE lookit this cutie patootie he’s going to be made into a keychain very soon and will be available to buy from our shop hohoho. In time for halloween too! The money made from these keyrings will help me survive until I get a job and will go towards printing for an Ereri artbook I’m working on oooooh the fun of it all. He’s not quite finished yet I need to tweak some details here and there but you get the idea *^*

Why not check out the store while you’re at it. There’s not much there but we’re still sorting out merch to sell and stuffs ^^

I found a Clint/Laura/Bucky tag on AO3 and I’ve only read one fic but like, I’m so in love with this polyship???? Its so cute???

Some concept art for In the Garden of the Sun. The art style of the comic will change at some point as you can see. I never liked how the Force is portrayed in the Star wars comics in general so have my raw and more flashy take with Kylo mind-tricking an officer, Force push and Force Blast.

I’m thinking about doing a patreon for the concept art sketchbooks and other bonus related to the comic that you could get every month and that could help me to finally print my stories and art.

I wanna get these printed up as 3”x4” die cut vinyl stickers, but I need your help!

The Kickstarter is LIVE RIGHT NOW :

Imagine Yuri dragging Otabek along on one of his shopping sprees. Yuri convinces him to get matching cat-themed shirts with him, and so they do, even if Otabek secretly doesn't like the style. However, during their times apart, Otabek notices he finds it to be his favorite, go-to shirt. -//u//-;

this is, like, totally legit? whenever Yuri goes shopping (which is probably a lot), he’ll force ask Otabek to come with him because ‘well, someone’s gotta help me decide whether to get the tiger or the leo print okay’.

one of the many times Yuri drags Otabek along on one of his shopping sprees, they’ll stumble across matching cat shirts and ‘omg Otabek please just try it on u don’t have to get it I just want to see’, but once he sees Otabek in the cat themed shirt (that matches his), Yuri decides that they absolutely have to get them.

Otabek let’s out a sigh of defeat as he pulls out his wallet to pay for both of them. “the things I do for love,” he mumbles, retrieving his credit card.

“huh, did you say something?” Yuri suddenly perks up behind him.

that was close Otabek my dude

Hack Suggestion from a Reader on Reading

Hey, fellow Adult ADHD'er here.

For the anon who asked about help concentrating while reading books, one really good too I use that really helps me concentrate is to get the print version of the book and then to also buy the audio version (I use audible). I like to read the print version of the book while following along to the audio version. Sometimes when I just read I get distracted by noises around me, and when I just listen I get distracted by scenery around me. But when I do both at the same time I usually don’t get distracted at all because my eyes and my ears are both engaging in the same task (understanding the words/interpreting the story) and thus more parts of your mind are actively attending to the same subject (reading the book). That means way less opportunity for distraction.

I’ve found that the kindle version of the book makes it easier to follow along to an audio version, and it’s way easier to take notes, make highlights, annotate, save bookmarks, and easily define a word you don’t know (built in dictionary). Plus with the Kindle for Mac, iPhone, and iPad apps I never have to worry about bringing the book with me, leaving it behind, losing my place, etc. The cool thing about audible is that you can change the narration speeds up to 3x as fast or twice as slow so that you can read along at your own pace. I’ve found that listening to the audible version at 1.5x or even 2x the speed usually helps me pay even more attention as I read, AND I can get the book read in a fraction of the time it would normally take me.

It’s a great trick especially for slow readers with ADHD. I wish I’d known about this back in high school and must of college.

Hey guys! So, I set up a shop and started putting some of my works as prints (some look good as phone skins too). I’m still setting things up, so you are free to tell me what you would like to see as a print; it’d help me get ideas :)

Available on my Society6
