help im in love with this movie and the story

This is Not a Love Story: part 2

Check out or refresh with Part 1 here.

To tell a good love story on screen, scenes, dialogue, camera angles and shots are important. Usually you have lots of quiet “get to know you” moments. Or single shots showing one of the love interests reactions. You need to give obvious and believable reasons for them to be falling in love. Television caters to the lowest common denominator for exposition. Usually its the big plot twists and mastermind moments that are subtle little easter egg hints.

Dating Dean Would Include... Part II

This was quite requested soo here is a part II. The Part IIs for the other boys will be up a little later as well, or if youre reading this after my initial posting, they’re probably up now.  :)

Dean Part I

* him kissing the crown of your head

* watching old movies together like westerns and gangster flicks

* telling you stories about growing up in the hunting life.

* you insisting that you at least help with research but him always insisting on you getting rest.

* “Dean, Im not a child, I want to help.”

* “I don’t think youre a child, but I also don’t want to lose something I love again.”

* serious jam sessions to classic rock late at night in the bunker when you need a break, waking up Sam who looks bewildered at your insanely bad air guitar and dance moves..

* “Dean what if we got a dog?”

* “No.”

* “ You can even name himmm.”

* “How many times have we been over this y/n?”

* making breakfast on days off together.

* Cas innocently asking in the mornings “ Why was y/n yelling last night? Were you hurt y/n?”

* Sam laughing his ass off when Dean glares at the angel and you cant respond to his question.

* listening to vinyls of Led Zeppelin on the days you both don’t want to get out of bed.

* telling each other really bad jokes

* holding hands when going into a difficult hunt together

* him squeezing your fingers in reassurance that the both of you would be okay

* too many close calls during hunts

* him always begging Cas to heal you

* now im sad and I hate myself :(

anonymous asked:

No offense hon but you gotta acknowledge don bluths less than stellar character designing

aight, i was gonna just give you a sassy response, but nah, imma put my heart and soul into this answer, so hang on to your seat:

Don Bluth knows what he’s doing. hear me out.

I’m not gonna sit here and say that everything bluth’s been a part of has been very good. but i mean…. i also dont think everything Hayao Miyazaki’s been a part of is very good. heresy, right? maybe, but fukcing watch lupin the third, and tell me that the characters are drawn well. i dare you.

in his early years, miyazaki did a lot of giant hands, and weird breasts. Juanjo Guarnido, author and artist of Blacksad, STILL draws girl furries fucking weird, with fucking human faces and big lips. And sometimes, (but not all the time), Don Bluth gives birds titties and teeth. We could have a fucking party with all the stylistic problems of animators and comic artists that i think are fucking talented as shit.

but, in fairness to you, saying other artists arent perfect isnt really a justification for the lesser quality art don’s produced, so let me go on.

“Less than stellar”????

okay, imma fucking challenge that. that simply is a slander and lie i will NOT tolerate.

please view this helpful diagram i just made in ms paint

Aight, top, good. bottom, bad. we can all basically agree on that, right? okay.

here’s the difference between don’s “GOOD” art, and his “BAD” art.

you’ll notice his anatomically correct, less toony, more detailed, “GOOD” character art, like in Titan AE, Secret of Nimh, The land before time, all dogs go to heaven, an american tail, etc, are all movies with more serious subject matter. genocide, war, animal experimentation, death, losing fucking everyone you love and being alone, that sort of thing.

and then, the movies that have “bad”, incorrect, exaggerated, and goofy character designs, are movies like a troll in central park, rock a doodle, thumbelina, the pebble and the penguin, bartok the magnificent, etc, are all movies geared toward a younger audience, and have simpler themes, like being a hero, finding love, overcoming your fears, being a good person, and the sort.

you see what im getting at?

Don Bluth’s art style and character design differs depending on how serious his movie is. he uses his character design to help set the tone for the story.

yes, of fucking course the pebble and the penguin has bad character design, its a fucking terrible story. but the land before time, where we have a story about a child dinosaur who’s mother fucking dies in front of him, and he has to survive on his own in a dying world, the art is gorgeous, and atmospheric, and fucking GOOD.

Of course i don’t like how don sexualizes birds, its creepy and weird, and we get it don bluth, you’re a fucking furry.

but he isn’t bad at character design. he makes concious decisions to appeal to a simpler audience, in his simpler stories. but don bluth has proven time and time again that he’s capable of good ass art, he just doesnt always do it, and thats too bad, but he’s a talented fucking artist.

in summation: dont insult my furry pa. he’s good and nice and i love him.

also, side note, i know you probably didnt mean anything nasty by it, but it hurts my feelings when people call me “hon”… it feels kinda condescending and mean and it makes me sad a little.

so i just got back from wonder woman????? and i have transformed as a person??? i’m hopefully going to have a review video up on my youtube this week but for now here are my immediate jumbled post-movie thoughts:

(some spoilers ahead??)

  • so good?????
  • so fucking incredible???????
  • okay honestly though i love diana prince so much,
  • no sexualised shots of diana??????? it was so refreshing!! what a concept????
  • steve x diana is the real otp to end all otps bye.
  • characterisation of every character was beautiful. all of the boys felt well rounded and individual and they all helped the story!
  • etta was a gem!! and she wasn’t just there to ogle steve like i foolishly assumed. she was there to oogle diana and it was great!!!!
  • my only main issue was the lack of women interaction once diana left the island so i would have liked a lot more etta and diana interaction but oh well.
  • amazon women are actually incredible and i want a whole movie/series just following their day to day lives without men please.
  • the soundtrack destroyed me. fully destroyed. i am gone. also the only i’ll be listening to from now until eternity.
  • the wonder woman theme song kicked in and i gasped so hard i nearly choked.
  • i cannot believe i saw a movie with a female hero who was full of compassion and empathy and she was never shown to be lesser because of it????
  • a superhero who wasn’t driven to her journey because of a tragic backstory??? i mean yes sort of but she was already determined to help the world anyway. like sorry clark and bruce but ur sob stories are officially boring now bye.
  • i have never cried so hard during a fight sequence.
  • everyone needs to see this movie. it has chanGED. THE. GAME. every movie from now on has a lot to live up to.
  • good luck to any movie ever making me feel this incredible and empowered ever again.
  • i just love diana so much.

all i wanted to do was see if there was any confirmed reasoning for how Sophie’s curse works, why did i have to read a huge ass essay on why she’s a bland character and the movie destroyed her?

yes the film is different from the book, but if you think movie!Sophie is bland then you’re probably part of the problematic ideology of a woman only being ‘strong’ or ‘relevant’ to the story if she has powers or can physically fight.

strength comes in many different forms. she is the hero of the story, and if you can’t see that, simply because she has no magic, then i cant help you.

Phil had had to turn off twitter notifications, and while he hated not being able to interact with his fans on a regular basis like he used to, he knew that it was a necessary evil. Ever since his latest movie had come out, he’d been gaining more and more attention. Not only had he become twitter verified over the past year, but his followers had jumped from 200,000 to 2 million. It was absolutely crazy.

At least he wasn’t the only one. Carrie Hope Fletcher (a rather nice girl who had played his love interest in She Heard in Shades of Blue, Phil’s biggest hit to date) had called him just that morning complaining about how she couldn’t even go out for tea without getting mobbed by fans. Still, it wasn’t all bad. He’d met a lot of interesting people between all of the award shows and movie premieres, and it was awesome to see his face on a big screen. A little weird, sure, but awesome.

And it wasn’t that Phil hadn’t wanted fame; it was that he hadn’t expected it. She Heard in Shades of Blue was a little film that one of his closest friends, PJ Liguori, had written and directed. He certainly wasn’t expecting it to be compared to Perks of Being a Wallflower and being called the ‘coming of age story of this generation’. No, what Phil had expected was a few meet and greets and a couple of congratulatory handshakes.

Ten Questions

1. What sense, besides sight, do you most incorporate into your descriptions?

emotion? (technically not a sense butttt eh) especially when i write one shots (which is often) i love to dig deep into a character’s psyche, even if there’s a short amount of time to do so, just ahhhh give me all the emotions!

2. Do you have a main source of inspiration for your WIP?

3. Which developmental rabbit hole do you fall down most often; character backgrounds or worldbuilding?

OH GOD WORLD BUILDING

i have spent so many hours looking up random facts to make i tadui hanar as accurate as possible. i spent an hour and a half once looking up and listening to sound bytes of medieval instruments just to mention it ONCE. i spend a good majority of my time combing sindarin archives to construct translatable sentences, also i own a tolkien dictionary and atlas so i use that too

i put a lot into my world building lol

4. What, if any, extra tidbits do you like to see from authors, ie. character profiles, maps + art, folklore, etc?

Love Story - Stiles Stilinski Imagine (Alternative Universe)

Prompt: INSPIRED BY TAYLOR SWIFT’S SONG, LOVE STORY and THE MOVIE: A CINDERELLA STORY. You meet Stiles during college and he helps you after your encounter with a mean girl. Later on at night, you attend a ball hosted by the college. You just so happened to meet him and dance with him, making you feel something. You two start talking and you fall in love with him, but suddenly he stops talking to you and you found out why.

A/N: I got a little carried away with this.. hehe. Anyway, I was going to finish writing the whole story but I think im going to have 2 parts, since this part is already so long! Hope you guys like this, sorry if it doesn’t meet your standards xx

Pairing: Stiles x Reader

(If you use the image below, please credit me as i put alot of effort.)

Your POV

“Stop being so nervous, Y/N! It’ll be alright!” Your best friend, Jasmine assured you (If your name is Jasmine, choose another best friend name!). “Easy for you to say, you’re not even here! Which might I add, you were supposed to be.” You groaned. You were walking in your college campus alone, lots of grass and nicely lined trees along the pathway. Jasmine was supposed to be attending the same college as you, but unfortunately her dad got a job transfer all the way in England, so she wouldn’t make it until next year. “It’s totally normal to be abit scared on your first day of college! Isn’t everyone?- Oh, sorry Y/N, my dad is calling me! Talk to you soon!” And your best friend hung up. Your first day at college didn’t meet your expectations.. In fact, not even close. You didn’t know anyone, and weren’t planning to. You wanted to focus on your studies only, no distractions whatsoever. You were walking along the path leading to the main building, students crowded and spread out everywhere. You turned on your phone, checking what time it was. Good, you weren’t late to your first class and you still had time to check out the dorms. Being the clumsy girl you were, you bumped into some Barbie looking girl. “I-I’m so sorry!” You apologized, picking up your bag and phone. You got the chance to look up and meet some deadest scary eyes. “Better watch it next time, new girl.” She rolled her eyes, walking off. “Real smart Y/N, already got someone disliking you.” You whispered to yourself. You hadn’t realize a shadow had hovered over you while you were checking if your phone had any cracks. “Here.” A voice of a male came out. You looked up, your eyes meeting an angel like face. You grabbed his hand, pulling yourself up. “I apologize on her behalf, she’s my ex. Abit rude.” The boy said. “Oh it’s fine, really. My fault.” You fake smiled, you were always an awkward person. “I’m Stiles.” The boy held out his hand again, hoping for a handshake. “Hi Stiles, I’m Y/N.” You returned the gesture. “Well, Y/N. I smell ‘new kid’ all over you. Need a tour?” He joked, pulling off a smile that made your heat beat a million times a second. “Hah, thanks Stiles. I think I’ll be fine, just heading off to the main building.” You smiled back, holding a map of the campus. “If you say so. Oh, I almost forgot to ask. Are you going to the annual ball tonight?” He asked. “Already? First day of the school and you guys are already having a ball?” You replied, confused. “Yeah, well. That’s just how this school happens to run. So, you coming?” You thought about it, you didn’t have a dress.. And you didn’t have a date. No reason to go. “Maybe not, think I’m going to study.” You answered, feeling bad about turning down the cutest boy you ever met down. “Oh, well call me if you change your mind!” He winked at you, walking off. “Wait I don’t have your-“ And just as you were about to finish your sentence, Stiles walked into a tree whilst walking backwards, looking at you. He mouthed out saying that he was okay, before walking off again, this time looking forward. All you could do was giggle, returning to your direction.

have you heard of the movie 9?? i saw it earlier today and i thought of you

it’s hilarious that you thought of me because that’s the movie that convinced me to pursue a career in animation when i was 14. im no longer interested in animation but 9 is still incredibly important to me for helping to set me on that path. and it’s one of those things that’s like, it’s definitely subconsciously influenced my writing forever (like how pretty much all of my original stories involve wandering some kind of wasteland and why i love the apocalypse so much)

alparkas  asked:

Im really excited for you & the movie thing (rly I am) but I cant help but be totally scared about it. I love the books and I know a movie can't include every detail in the book, so I know its gonna lose some stuff and im just scared of that yknow?

Aw, that’s perfectly natural! I had the chance to talk to Chad over the summer and I think we all lucked out—he has experience adapting books and he really *gets* the story and the characters. FOX/21 Laps loved his take, and, from what I understand he’s aiming for a pretty faithful adaptation. But we all know that certain structural things work better as a book than a movie—and vice versa—so as long as the spirit of the story is being captured I’d never quibble over smaller story elements being cut or trimmed or reworked.
