The Mega 1/6 Female Fashion Doll Comparison!

Being in the doll hobby, it can be impossible to find a good comparison of all the dolls out there. Being as its a hobby that largely relies on buying blind, we can too often get a doll only to find we don’t like the posing range or proportions. It’s in this spirit that we have decided to post the biggest 1/6 doll comparison we could, using every doll we have in our arsenal! Keep in mind, we have only included fashion dolls, this does not include ball jointed dolls!

There they are! All laid out!  We used an edge to align the feet as straight and equal as possible. We had planned to use a cutting mat. but the doll line ended up being far too long to do so!
The dolls in order are as follows:
Azone Kikipop (Custom by Jade)
Azone Pure Neemo XS (Sweet Dreams Chiika)
Azone Pure Neemo S (Custom with Obitsu head by Nico)
Azone Pure Neemo M (Custom with Obitsu head by Jade)
Unoa Light Fluorite (Custom by Jade)
Volks EB Beauty Midi (Custom with Obitsu head by Nico)
Volks EB Neo Teens (Custom by Nico)
Ever After High (Custom by Jade)
Monster High (Custom by Jade)
Barbie Made to Move (Custom by Jade)
Original Effect Heyar Adas Teenie Body (Heavy Custom and Mod with obitsu head by Nico)
Obitsu 25cm Body
Pullip Body
Barbie Fashionista Body
Barbie “Spectra of Shimmeron” Body

The azone dolls have only a bit of variation in their looks when it comes to the XS, S, and M varieties. The XS doll uses a different type of hand peg than the larger bodies, so it cannot swap parts with them. However, the larger bodies all use universal interchangeable hands (just be sure to match the skintone). They can also all share clothes, though the XS may not fit S and M sized clothing without looking a bit baggy and loose. The XS clothes, however, fit pretty well on the S and M sizes. Shoes are completely interchangeable between the three sizes.

Azone and Obitsu 25cm. They are very similar in measurements and can share clothing. The Obitsu are a bit larger, cheaper, and have a greater range of poseability, but the Azone bodies look much more shapely, with a soft matte finish and a solid weight.

Halloween Town. How could I not?  Oh, I seem to be some mix of Gargoyle and Incubus… Heh. Now I can glide, too.

//Gargoyle because he’s very protective of Ventus at this point, Incubus because he’s a little shit and likes to dominate in general (not necessarily in a bedroom context.)

This week we bring you Samppa Von Cyborg’s first Detroit appearance- we will be checking back in with Samppa in the run up to APP Conference, so, in the coming months, brace yourself for more in-depth interviews, information on certain heavy mods, and other goodies in addition to our usual focus on high-end professional piercing.

Does anyone have recommendations for heavy mod people who do ear pointing. I was the really natural style so it looks like i’ve been born with naturally pointed ears?

Either UK based or people that tour.

I’m currently thinking about possibly either Samppa Von Cyborg or X-ronix, the plus side with

I want to look around more though before even emailing anyone.

this is the style I want

NO MORE HEAVY MODS. please read.

It has been a long time coming, and most people close to me know this already, but now seems like a good time to make it public. After 12 years, I am retiring from doing heavy modifications. I have grown tired of the stress, the legal risks as well as the overall attitude in this specific spectrum of our industry that I adore. I now enjoy doing simple piercings with pretty jewelry much more than stressing out over risky and sometimes unpredictable procedures. Also, the mere fact that every new body piercing apprentice feels the need to learn how to do those things before even owning their skills as a piercer, and that every single shitty hack job of a piercer around the corner tattoos eyeballs and remove nipples makes me wonder about how this part of our industry will evolve (or devolve) in the near future. I don’t want to be there when shit hits the fan, and even less want to be the one that causes that to happen.

I will keep on doing scarification, and art form that I love so much and will be focusing on my studio instead of being on the road so often.

If we talked about a specific procedure and planned on doing it together, please write me in private so we can discuss details or send you to someone I trust to work on you.

I will be happy to answer your questions regarding that matter, I thank you very much for respecting my decision.

KENNY HUGHES sits down with me to discuss his newest addition- spine implants in his arm from Samppa Von Cyborg. BE WARNED…this video features pretty explicit surgical procedures, and might not sit well if one was squeamish.

Okay, here is another rant that’s about to go down. Today’s topic is my favourite topic, BODY MODS YAYYY. As a person who has modifications and wants further mods, I hate it when people discriminate. Whether it be piercings, tattoos, breast implants, makeup, stretched ears, hair dye or ANYHTING of the sort, discrimination is wrong. My first point is discrimination. Whenever I talk about what tattoos I want to get or what piercings I want to get, I always get told the same thing: ‘but why would you do that to your body?’ I would and probably will do these things to my body because I like it. If you get a spray tan, I don’t come up to you and ask why you’d do that. You obviously do it because you like it. It’s the exact same for people with different modifications. I have piercings, I dye my hair a lot, I want tattoos and more piercings, I want lovely big lobes, I want my ears sculpted and I want my tongue split. I’m doing these things for myself. I’m basically saying that this is what I want my body to look like because I, as an individual PERSON, want these things done because I think they look nice. I am not forcing my opinions on you, I’m just telling you what I like and what I find nice looking. My second point: work. I always get told ‘how will you find a job with all of those piercings and tattoos?’. I want to get a job in the modification industry and, believe it or not, the people in that workplace do not care what mods you have- they care about work ethic. If I do a good job at putting a needle through somebody’s nose, they won’t turn around and say ‘I’m sorry, some customer doesn’t like your piercing. You need to take it out or you’re fired’. In the industry of piercing and tattooing, the people that hire you don’t give a fuck about what you look like because there’s a 95% chance that they have body mods as well.

So far I only have 2 piercings and stretched lobes. I am planning on getting 10 more piercings and stretching my lobes to- at least- 30mm. I am planning on getting my ears sculpted to look like elf ears. I am planning on getting many, many tattoos including a few small face tats. I am planning on stretching my septum, which I am actually doing soon and I do want my tongue split. You might run into me in 10 years’ time and I will probably have at least half of those things done. I always get questioned for my decisions and every single time, I just reply with ‘because I like it.’ I like the way these things look, just in the same way that you think a spray tan or fake nails or blonde hair looks. You think it looks nice, that it looks beautiful; well that’s how I feel about heavier modifications.
