“Can you do another soulmate fic with Warren? Like you and your soulmate have
the same tattoo. Thanks, y’all are doing the lord’s work on this blog.” and “Could
you please write a Warren imagine based off of the song Home by Phillip
Phillips?” and “IMAGINE COUCH CUDDLING WITH WARREN can you do something like
that? I LOVE YOU!”
I haven’t heard this song in so long omg. I had to YouTube it. But these are
great prompts and I’m super hype to write them.
on to me as we go, as we roll down this unfamiliar road~
Soulmate. The word scared him. Petrified him.
Everyone on the face of the earth had a match, someone who was meant for them,
but to Warren, this mean yet another opportunity for someone to reject him. He
stared at his reflection in the mirror.
His monstrous wings stretched out behind him.
And the tattoo, the one that was meant to lead him to her, was etched right
over his heart, like all of the other soulmate tattoos. It was a flaming heart
with angel wings. He assumed the wings represented himself and that meant the
fire must be for her, whoever she was. Wherever she was. He sighed, tugging his
shirt over his head and combing his thick blonde curls.
although this wave is stringing us along, just know you’re not alone~
You had never felt more alone in your life. Smoke
rose from your house. You watched as the firemen rushed to put out the flames.
Of course, it would be you, the daughter of a very conservative set of parents,
that ended up being a mutant. They were shaking their heads, crying that their
daughter was afflicted with such a horrible ailment.
sickness. They had called it. There has to
be a cure. They had begged, but you were hopeless. You were a mess, an
incurable, flame-spewing mess. You traced your soulmate mark carefully, big wet
tears rolling down your cheeks, praying, hoping beyond hope that you wouldn’t
be so alone once you found him.
I’m gonna make this place your home~
Your bags were packed in an hour, and your
parents drove you all the way to upstate New York. The speed they got there was
remarkable. Sure, there wasn’t a cure, but there was a place they could send
you to, a place where you would learn control. Where you would learn to be normal. But you didn’t want to be normal. You just wanted to be
accepted. You wanted to be free.
down, it’ll all be clear. Don’t pay no mind to the demons, they fill you with
As soon as you were settled into your new
home, a war erupted. Apocalypse and his horsemen attacked, so you and the
others went to defend the school, to defend the world. Every time you looked to
the skies, he was there. You ignored him. The wings didn’t mean anything. That
couldn’t be him. This wasn’t how you were supposed to meet.
But he watched you. Every time the raging
fire spewed from your fingertips, he wondered. He wondered if it could possibly
be you, if you were the only person who was supposed to make things right.
trouble, it might track you down. If you get lost, you can always be found~
And then the jet crashed, and he was trapped
inside of it. He was gone. Tears spilled from your eyes as you looked down on
his lifeless form, stuck in the wreckage. He was burned, scarred badly.
Once the battle was over, you pushed pieces
of the jet off of him, pulling him out and into your lap. Desperately, you
pried off his armor, needing to know. You had to know if it was him.
His chest plate popped off, revealing the
only tattoo on the face of the earth that matched yours. You covered your mouth
with your hand, gasping. Now you would never get to meet him. You would never
get to introduce yourself. Hell, you didn’t even know his name.
“Ohhh,” he groaned, almost inaudibly. You
opened your eyes, watching in disbelief as his chest heaved, struggling to take
in breaths. His soulmate mark glowed for a second, and you could feel yours
tingle under the thick leather uniform you were wearing. “Shit,” he muttered,
trying to move, but finding he was incredibly sore.
“You okay?” you asked gently. He opened his
eyes, shocked at your proximity. He had assumed he was alone. He nodded, the
world slowly building around him. Your face slowly came together.
“You,” he stated. “Why are you crying?”
“My soulmate died,” you replied, smiling
through the tears. You brushed hair out of his face. A weak smile tugged at his lips.
“Finally found you, huh?”
“Yeah,” you nodded. “I’m (Y/N), but they’ve
been calling me Inferno.”
“Warren,” He struggled to sit up. “But, uh,
Angel works too.”
“I bet I look like a mess,” you brushed hair
out of your face, laughing softly.
“You look stunning,” he told you, his head in
your lap. He tried to get up, but he couldn’t. It hurt too much. “If I could
move or sit up, I would kiss you, but-”
You bent down and pressed your lips to his,
kissing him softly. He hummed with content, his lips moving with yours. Your
tattoos glowed, tingling pleasantly as finally, finally, you were reunited, as
you were always meant to be.
know you’re not alone. I’m gonna make this place your home~
Recovery was so, so much easier with you
there, Warren decided. Of course, he had agreed to move to the mansion in a
heartbeat once he knew you lived there. And since Storm was coming along too,
it wasn’t like he wouldn’t know anybody.
“So you almost burned down your house, huh?”
Warren asked, pressing a tender kiss to your temple. You nodded, chuckling a
“I mean, I didn’t, but, I almost did. It was a mess. My parents are very
anti-mutant, so as soon as it happened, they shipped me off. Although, if they hadn’t, I wouldn’t have met you.” Your
head was resting on his shoulder, tucked into his neck. His thumbs rubbed
gentle circles on your hips.
“I lost hope a few times, in the fight club.
Mutants came and went, but I never met you. Though, I’m glad you weren’t there.
You don’t deserve that.”
“I love you.” you told him. He sighed,
“Could you…could you say that again?”
“I. Love. You.” you repeated, kissing his cheeks
and forehead after each word.
“I love you too,” he hugged you tightly. “God,
I love you.”
